《The Make-Up Game. | larry stylinson》Pt. 2. So, How'd it Go?

(I've added up the dates and I mean, it doesn't work out the the exact day, so I will need to go back and check through the book to make it fit, but I just want to clarify that this date is happening on the 21st of December!!)

Louis agreed. He agreed to begin starting over and Harry was more than happy. "You won't regret it, I promise." He had replied.

Now, the two boys were walking side by side down a path Louis could just about remember once driving down, seated in the passenger seat of Harrys car. Louis remembers that day like it was yesterday, wearing that blue dress and Harrys nervous ramble.

He remembers standing out of the car and asking Harry if they were really going to watch a ballet at the theatre. The way Harry thought he hated it and that's when the rambling kicked in. He would never forget that night. Their first date.

"I thought we could start the night here." Louis looked to Harry, then realised that they were indeed, stood out side of the theatre where they had been before. He looked above the large glass doors, seeing a large billboard above the entrance.

- A Russian ballet. -

16th December - 9th January.

"I tried to see if Swan Lake was on, but they are just doing the nutcracker this time." Harry was fiddling with his rings on his left hand. The fingers on his right hand twisting them to a point where the rings were actually beginning to hurt his fingers. Nerves seeming to get the best of him tonight.

Louis looked from the sign back to Harry, "the nutcracker is fine. I mean, it's Christmas very soon, it's relevant." Harry nodded. "And this is the one I've always wanted to see." He sent a warm smile to Harry before he started to walk up the stone steps leading up to the theatre. Harry stood for a second, taking a deep breath before following behind Louis quickly.

Louis shouldn't have been surprised when Harry led them to their seats up in a balcony. The same balcony as before to be exact. He really should have expected it, he can see the effort that Harry had put in to tonight, he can see that he had thought about every little thing he could. Louis was grateful.

During the interval half way through the show, Louis turned to Harry. "Thank you." Harry looked over to Louis, sending a small shy smile.

"It's okay. I think it's the least I can do." Louis nodded his head and chuckled a little.

"I guess so." He looked into Harrys eyes and as he did, he let out a sigh.

"Are you okay?" Harry asked, confused.

"I just-" Louis shook his head. "I want to lean towards you and kiss you so badly. I want things to be straight again. To be amazing again, like it was the first time we sat in these seats." Louis ran his hand along the cushioned chair he was sat upon. "I wish all of that mess never happened." He looked down before looking back up.

"So do I. I wish I did what I promised. I wish I never betrayed you and the trust that you found so hard to give to me. But I did. And I will regret it for the rest of my life. I swear that to you." Harry turned his body completely, so that he was able to reach forward and take both of Louis' hands. "I am going to make it right. I see myself with you forever Louis. I can see us growing up together, getting married and starting a family. I'm not going to let you go. And I'm not going to let it be my mistake that ruins this. I am going to fix it. Learn from it. And take everything that you give me until it works. Until you can trust me again. I swear that to you. I swear it."

Louis wasn't sure what else was to be said so he just nodded his head and squeezed Harry's hands. "Okay." He whispered.

The lights slowly started dimming and both Louis and Harry turned their body's so that they were facing the stage once again; however, this time, their hands stayed connected.

-

"They are insanely good. I just can't get over it." Louis exclaimed as the two left the theatre doors, in between the rest of the audience. "I could seriously watch them dance forever." Harry chuckled. Louis smiled, pausing in his footsteps, stopping Harry from going any further as their hands were still holding onto each other's. "Thank you, again."

Harry smiled, looking towards him. "It was my pleasure. Thank you for coming. You know you didn't have to. And well, I really didn't expect you to." Louis looked to his feet. "Right. Anyway." Louis looked up. "Let's get to my car, we have to get to our second destination." Harry began walking before Louis could ask, or say anything.

But it didn't matter, Louis knew exactly where they were going.

-

"Same table, same drink." Louis laughed. He held his cup of hot chocolate in his cold hands. "I've missed this place." He looked around at the themed café.

"Yeah?" Harry asked.

"Mhm." Louis looked across the table to Harry. "I remember going home the morning after our first date, telling Megan about it. Saying how we had to go. But I guess we both became busy. Me with you, her with Luke. Just kind of forgot about it." Once he had finished talking, he looked down and brought his cup up to his mouth to take a sip.

Harry watched closely. Trying to figure out if Louis sounded upset or if he was just stating facts. However, when Louis pulled the cup away from his mouth, Harry had to let out a small laugh.

"What?" Louis asked, confused.

Harrys shook his head. "It's just-" he stopped, laughing again.

"Just what?" Louis pressed, placing his cup in the table and leaning forward.

"You have, uh, cream, by your nose. I mean, on your nose." Harry laughed when Louis went quick to try and wipe it off.

"Is it gone?" Harry shook his head and Louis huffed.

"God, this is the most cliché thing I have ever done." Harry chuckled as he reached across the table and used his thumb to brush off the whipped cream from Louis' face. "There you go." Harry picked up a napkin from the middle of the table and wiped off his hand.

"Thank you." Louis chuckled, his cheeks a deep pink.

Harry looked to Louis, giving him a soft look. "You don't have to say thank you after everything I do for you, you know."

"I know, I just can't help it. And I want to thank you. You've done a lot for me tonight." Louis picked up his drink again.

"But these are the things I should be doing. I should be doing this. I should have done this. I realised that before everything happened. I didn't really keep you as close as I should have. I didn't take you out on dates as much as I would have liked and I want to make it up to you. You giving me this second chance means everything. It means that I can try my best to be a better boyfriend than I was before. " Harry paused as Louis put his cup down and he reached for the others hands. Holding them tight in the middle of the table. "And I will. I will be better, I'm going to take you out on dates and show you off to everyone I know. Because you deserve it. You deserve more than what I first gave you."

"You were a great boyfriend." Louis assured. "You were perfect. You gave me all of your love and I had never been happier. You found my sister, Harry. No one had ever been able to do that. And you did. That's more than I could have ever asked for. You made a mistake, I know that. But," Louis looked to Harry, letting out a small chucked. "As the Hannah Montana song goes, everybody makes mistakes."

Harry chuckled too, squeezing Louis hands softly, just once.

"You really are something." Harry sighed longingly at the boy in front of him.

Louis glared playfully. "That better be a compliment." Harry laughed.

"Of course. Nothing but." Louis grinned at him.

-

"You didn't forget your keys this time, right?" Harry chuckled to himself, looking back on the memory, as he walked Louis up to the front door to the block of flats.

Louis chuckled also, reaching into his back and pulling out the chiming metal. "I did not." He held them out in front of him to give Harry confirmation.

"That's good then." Harry smiled down at Louis. The two fell into a silence neither one of them knew how to break.

However, when Louis started to feel the cold biting at his knees, he broke the awkward atmosphere, "I better go in, I'm pretty sure Megan and Jade are watching us through the window." He fiddled nervously with his keys, looking down at them before looking back up at Harry.

"Yeah, you're right. It's getting cold." Louis nodded. "Oh, I forgot to say earlier, my mum, she says hi." Louis smiled. "She misses you. Her and my dad actually."

"I miss them too." Louis agreed. "It was weird to go from seeing them nearly everyday to not at all."

Harry stayed quiet for less than half a minute before he spoke up. "Your birthday. It's in a couple of days." He looked over to Louis, who gave him a questioning look.

"You are correct." He confirmed.

"Are you busy?" Harry asked, unsure on how to fully ask his question.

"Uhm," Louis thought. "Not for the evening, I don't think so. I'm sure Megan and Jade have been planning something for the day, have told me to keep eleven through to three free. But they've said nothing about the evening."

"Come to mine?" Harry got straight to it. It came out as more as a statement trying to be a question rather than the their way around. Even himself not to sure on it.

"I mean-"

"It's just my parents come back from their trip on the twenty third and they'd love to see you. My mum could cook, they are picking up Gemma on their way home from the airport, I know she'd love to see you. Plus, it'll give me a chance to give you your birthday present." Harry swung back and fourth on the balls of his feet out of nerves. Waiting for Louis to answer.

"Uh, I'll have to double check with the girls." Harry felt his shoulders dip a little. "But I'm sure it'll be fine." Louis finished and Harry felt a lot better after hearing that. "They can't keep me for the whole day." The two chuckled. Louis looked to the door they were still stood next too. "Right, I should really go in now. I think my toes will fall off if i stay out here any longer." Harry laughed, wiggling his own toes in his boots, just checking, making sure his were still intact.

"Right." Harry sighed. "I guess I'll maybe see you in a couple of days." Louis smiled and nodded turning to the door and placing his key inside the hole. Harry turned, getting ready to walk back down to his car.

"Oh, Harry!" Louis called back, letting go of the door his was just about to walk through, rushing back to Harrys side. He put a hand onto the taller boys chest, reaching into his tip toes, pressing his lipstick covered lips to Harrys ice-cold, blushed cheeks. "I know you don't want me to say it, but I'm going to anyway. I've never been one to follow rules." That was correct. "Thank you."

Harry smiled, watching as Louis stepped away, "it was my pleasure, Lou."

-

Louis dropped his pair of shoes in the pile near the front door, letting out a large breath. "I'm home." He called out into the flat. He could hear talking coming from the kitchen but couldn't quite make out the voices.

"Kitchen." He heard Megan shout back. Louis checked his jacket over the back of the sofa as he made his way past it, towards the other room. "Hey," Megan smiled. It had been her, Jade and Luke that he had heard. "How was it?" She asked calmly.

Louis couldn't stop himself from blushing. "It was good." Louis nodded, agreeing with himself.

"It was good?" Jade asked, looking to her bother as he took the seat next to her at the breakfast table. "Is that all you're going to say? Really?" Louis laughed.

"Well what else do you want to know? Only asked how it went." Louis shrugged.

"What did you do, then?" Like asked. The boy had been hesitant to let his friend go. Louis still didn't know that he had gone to see Harry after the breakup. Even though Harry had told him all the things he had, Luke still didn't want Louis getting hurt for a second time.

"He uh- he recreated our first date." Megan and Jade both let out a series of "oo,s" and "aw's", Luke just waiting for him to explain. "We met at the fountain, like he said, and as we were walking, we kind of had a talk?" Megan nodded her head in encouragement. "He just said about how sorry he was, how much he regrets it all." Luke scoffed, reviving a hit in the arm from Megan.

"Ow." He cried. Megan scowled at him. Luke looked back to Louis, "I'm sorry, it's just-"

"I know, it's okay." Louis assured. "You're not his biggest fan at the moment, I get it. But I just want to say, just like I said to him. I have not forgotten what he did to me and I've not forgiven him quite yet. But I'm giving him the chance. Not to make it up to me, but to make it work. And he was more than willing to accept that." Louis finished.

"Good." Jade said. "I'm glad you're making him work for it. Like he should be."

Megan nodded her head, agreeing. "But Lou, you'll go careful right?"

"Yeah." Louis answered. "One sign and I'm gone for good. I'm really handing him what's left of my trust, I just hope he keeps it, rather than chucking it like last time."

"He won't." Luke spoke up, standing straight from where he was leaning against the kitchen counter. "Because if he does, he'll have no legs to walk on."

Megan shook her head at her protective boyfriend. Luke had always looked over Louis, so that comment was not surprising.

"Right." Louis chuckled awkwardly. "Now, my birthday. I'm free after three right?" Louis looked between the two girls who then looked to each other, nodding.

"Yeah." The pair said, almost in sync.

"Great!" Louis smiled, jumping down from his chair. "Now I'm off to bed. I'll see you all tomorrow." He heard all three reply as he left the room, making his way down the hall towards his bedroom.

-

Harry was led in bed staring towards his TV when his phone chimed beside him. He picked the object up, looking to his screen and unlocking the device.

A/N; (2759 words. Sorry, again, for how long this took me. I wasn't planning on it taking this long, I just really really find time to write and then when I did I just really struggled to get it done correctly and make it go the way I wanted. But I'm actually please with how this went.

I'm hoping you're with okay with the length or like it, it was originally two chapters but I felt both were too short to be on their own so I combined them and just put the whole night into one.

So I hope you liked it!

And I'll try to get the next one up quicker, I promise.)
