Louis sat in his bed, his back pressed against the surface behind him. He couldn't even predict the time of day which it was, time had felt as if it had been frozen ever since he left Harry's two days ago.
Megan had tried to get the boy out of the house. She'd laid out one of his favourite dresses and booked a table at his most favourite restaurant, but Louis would not budge- wouldn't even look towards the girl when giving her his apologies. She couldn't blame Louis though. This whole situation has killed the boy inside.
On the third day of Louis not moving, not eating and only just drinking water, Megan knew she had to do something. She had called Luke around the night before when the two came up with an idea. The next morning she made a phone call to the one person who may be able to help.
"I honestly haven't seen him move unless it was to go to the bathroom or take sip of his water its really worrying me." Megan opened Louis' bedroom door.
"Harry seemed so sweet, I didn't think he'd do anything like this." Jade sighed, her hand placed on her chest as she watched her baby brother through the crack in his door.
"We all thought the same. Including Lou." Megan agreed and Jade turned to her. "I've tried everything to get him to move, but nothing has worked, you are literally the last thing I can think of." Jade smiled sadly and gave a small nod of the head, turning back to Louis' door.
She put her hand against the wood and pushed the door open, letting light from the hallway flood the darkened room. "Lou?" She whispered, taking small steps towards the boy.
Louis looked up, his head moving slowly and he eyes tearing away from the wall opposite him. "Ja-de" His voice sounded broken, a crack in the middle of the short name.
"Hey." Jade let out a saddened smile, taking a seat on the bed as close to her brother as she could. Louis almost immediately fell on the girl, his body being wrapped up by hers. "It'll be okay." She hushed. rubbing small circles on his back through his t-shirt.
"It hurts," Louis sobbed, "so, so much." His tears fell onto the fabric of Jades shirt but she didn't say anything. "I love him so much a-and he just threw it all back in my face. H-e lied to me."
"I know, I know, but listen," Jade pulled back, pacing her hands onto Louis' shoulders, keeping him sat upright and facing her. "I need you to try and calm down a little, okay? I'll run you a bath and whilst you are in it, I'll get Megan to order a take-away and then we can talk about it all. But I really need you to have a bath and eat first, okay?"
After a few seconds of hesitation, Louis finally nodded his head, agreeing that a bath was well needed. So Jade gave him a thankful smile and got up off the bed, holding Louis' hands as he struggled to do the same- his body weak through lack of energy.

Once Louis was in the bath, Jade walked into the kitchen, seeing Megan leaning against the side, a worried look on her face. "He's in the bath at the moment, I told him I'd get you to order take-away for when he's out, I hope that's okay."
"Thank you." Megan's face filled with relief. "And take-away, I'm on it." Megan picked up her phone and car keys, walking out of the room. She walked to the front door, slipping on her shoes and grabbing her coat on the way out. On her way down the stairs she dialled her boyfriends number.
Luke picked up a beat later, "hey babe, how's Lou?" Megan smiled.
"Better," it felt so good to tell him that." Jade came over and he's currently having a bath. I have no idea how she got him to move but she did. I'm just on my way out to get food and was wondering if you wanted me to pick you up? I thought you could come over?"
There was a sound of hesitation on Lukes end. "Uhh, I would love to, but I'm actually on my way out, I can pop around after though?"
Megan pulled open the door to the block of flats as her eyebrows furred. "Luke? What are you doing?" She fiddled with her keys as she made her way towards her car. Something in her made her think of a possible thing Luke could be up to. "You better not be going to-"
"Sorry babe, I've got to go, I'll be round later okay, love you!" Megan cursed the boy in her mind, pressed the red button on her phone and opened her car door.
"That little shit." she muttered, placing her phone and coat of the passenger seat before starting the car and making her way out of the car park.
____________________
When Megan arrived back home, she had a bag of hot Chinese food in her hand and Louis, along with Jade, was sat on the sofa in the living room, with the TV switched on. "Hey." Megan made her presence known, taking off her shoes and coat and then walking towards them, placing the food on the table. She looked towards Louis. "How're you feeling?"
Louis gave her the slightest smile. "Better." His voice was quiet, but if she was being honest, she was just glad he was taking at all.
"Okay, we're getting somewhere then." She smiled at him before smiling over at Jade, "I'll go get some plates and cutlery and then we'll eat, yeah?" with a nod from both sitting on the sofa, Megan went to collect both of the said things.
Halfway through eating, the front door to the flat opened, all three heads looked up to the door, not suspired to see Luke standing there. Jade and Louis looked back round to the TV and their food, but Megan squinted at her boyfriend and she hoped she was the only one to see the dried blood on his knuckles. She leant forward, placing her plate down onto the table, "We'll be right back." She said before standing up and pulling Luke by his arm to the bathroom.

She made sure that the door was closed before saying anything to her boyfriend. "Care to explain?" She spoke with her voice low and just above a whisper.
"I went to see Harry." Luke shrugged his shoulders.
"I've guessed that much Luke, but your hand? Did you expect me not to notice the blood and the fact that its swollen? Because if so, I think you can tell, I noticed." Luke looked down to the floor.
Luke shut the door to his car, pressing the lock button on his keys before looking up at the house in front of him and letting out a large breath. He walked up to the gates, opening to walk through one and closed it behind him. Slowly, he made his way to the front door, looking in the drive again, to see no cars except Harrys.
He waited no longer than two minutes after pressing the door bell before the door opened. "I ju- Luke?" The blonde gave no warning, no hesitation and no sympathy before pushing on Harrys chest and swinging his right fist into the tall boys face. Harry stumbled back, his hands going up to cradle his jaw, looking up from the floor to the slightly shorter boy in his home. "I guess I sort of deserved that." Harry sighed.
"Sort of? Bullshit. You did deserve that, Harry, and there was a line of people wanting to do it. You destroyed my best friend. Crushed his heart, made him not want to eat, move or even speak. Please, tell me how that feels?!" He paused, but didn't give enough time for Harry to speak back. "Shit. That's how it feels to be watching and unable to do anything to help. He loves you so much and you threw it all away for someone else who would never be able to give you what that precious boy could have!"
Harry looked down again briefly, "Its awful." he looked back up, tears streaming. "Its unbearable, I don't know how to even put into words how bad I feel Luke. I love him. I really, really do love him, with more than I could ever show. I fucked up and I know I did. Id give anything in the world to make things right. id give up anything if it meant that Louis would be happy and that none of this would ever had happened. But I cant change it, no matter what I do, I cant go back in time and stop this from happening. And it kills me."
Luke scoffed. "If you are expecting sympathy, you can think again or look for someone else because you're not getting it from me."
Harry shook his head, "I'm not. I don't deserve it, I know that. But I want you to know, for Lou to know, I never wanted this. I was drunk, I cant even remember anything from that night, I woke up in a bed with a note beside me and a missed call from an unknown number. Ever since I've had calls from a girl who claimed to be the girl I slept with. But I cant tell you the truth, because not even I know it. Whatever it was, its cost me the best thing that's ever happened to me and ill never forgive myself for it."
Luke looked over at Harry, scanning his body language and noting how it was similar to Louis'. How he looked like he really had just given up. "Why didn't you block the number? Call the police for harassment? Why didn't you stop her? Just tell Louis the truth?"
Harry sighed, sitting down on the hallway floor, he back pressed to the bottom stair. " I was scared, terrified I'd loose him. She claimed that if I blocked her she would tell Louis everything and the same with the police, she knew where I lived and I couldn't risk that. And with telling Louis- it was so early on in the relationship and with him already finding it hard to trust people, I knew it would end things straight away and I really liked him and didn't want to screw things up when I knew they could be great."
Lukes shoulder relaxed slightly, and he suddenly realised the stinging pain in his hand. "I think the thing that has crushed Louis the most out of all of this is who you slept with. A woman. That was his biggest fear you know? To be left for someone of the opposite gender. He was always scared that he'd fall in love with someone who just didn't find him to be enough. "
Harry didn't think it was possible for his heart to break any more. "He was more than enough. I wanted him to be to be treated as if he was my own personal treasure. I never thought it was possible to love someone so much, to hurt for someone so much in such a little amount of time. But Louis was always enough for me. I didn't want anything more than just him."
"But he doesn't know that. And with this all happening, if you don't try hard enough, I don't think he ever will. Because you're the only one who can tell him that and at this moment in time, he doesn't even want to see your face never mind hear you out."
And with that, Luke left the Styles household, closing the front door behind him.
Harry stayed sat on the floor, his eyes scanning the floor for nothing, before his head shot up. He had a plan.
(Words 2174) I really struggled to find an end point for this chapter so I'm really sorry if it seemed rushed or not amazing, i might come back and change it a little but for now, this will do. Ill be back very soon with the second part of this book but i really hope you enjoyed the first!!! i loved writing it and cant wait to start the next.

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)

You Are The Gods.
You read the title right, YOU are a God within this story. In fact, every single reader of the story is a God. Many stories like to take the path that there are Gods that watch over the characters of the story, helping them or hurting them as the characters progress. What if, the readers of this story are the Gods that are watching the Main Characters? What if the readers could accrue points by reading that they could spend to help the main character, hurt the main character, or to even create new characters, dungeons, and scenarios? That is what I aim to create! I am trying to get the community involved in creating a reality that the readers themselves can directly influence! If you have any interest in this at all, I implore you to read the intro chapter called 'The Tutorial' and join everyone else on many interesting stories on Planet Earth and what it is to become! Volume 1 is where you can find how the system works, and the various things within the system! Volume 2 is the actual story and invasions itself. Volume 3 is where you can find previous polls and the such. Volume 3 is so we can all look back at the decisions made. Quick note. I am not the best writer, and will try my best to create the best quality story. There might be some grammar errors, or I might write in a simpler way compared to other authors because I do not have much time, nor can I write ahead either! If you wish to give me advice on the system as the story goes on, then I will gladly accept it. Lastly, just have fun with the story as I try to do something completely new!
