(10:43)

Hey :)

Louis smiled, looking down as his phone buzzed. It's strange how much a certain persons text can make someone else smile so much. The two boys had been texting ever since Louis got home on the Monday. The day currently, is Friday.

(10:44)

Hi!!

(10:44)

Would you, by any chance, be busy tonight??

Louis scrunched up his eyebrows, staring down at his phone screen.

(10:45)

No I don't think I am, why?

Just like before, his phone beeped almost instantly after the message had sent.

(10:46)

Throw on your best dress, I'm picking you up at 7 xx

Louis' eyes snapped to the top of his screen to read the time. 5:45. He hurried back with his reply, asking a simple why? To which all he got back was a ;) from the other boy.

So Louis rushed up to his bedroom, banging hard on Megan's door when he passed it. When the girl entered his room, the floor was already covered with half of his clothing items. "What's up?" She asked, her phone in her hand.

Louis whipped around to face her from where he was stood in the wardrobe. "Harry's picking me up in just over an hour and I don't know what to wear! He said to put on my best dress, but I don't own a best dress Megan. What does that even mean? Does it have to be a fancy one? A casual one? Oh my God, this is terrible." Louis groaned, walking to his bed and sitting; his head in his hands.

Megan almost laughed at the boy. "Are you really worried about all of this?" Louis looked up, his blue eyes giving her a sad look. Megan rolled her eyes. "What about that light blue one?" She questioned, walking to his wardrobe and pulling the item out.

Louis stayed silent for a second, raking his eyes up and down the pieces of fabric. "Hmmm." He hummed, standing up and taking the hanger out of her hand, lifting it up in front of himself. A smile creeped onto his face. "It's perfect, not too fancy and defiantly not too casual." He layed out the item on his bed before heading to his shoe rack. "How did you remember I had that? I've never even worn it."

Megan shrugged. "I had you nagging about it for weeks before you actually bought it." Louis laughed.

"Right."

Megan gave him a soft smile, looking down at her phone when it buzzed. "Listen," she said not looking up. "I'm heading out. I'll be back tomorrow."

"Okay." Was all Louis said before she went on, this time looking up.

"Call me later and tell me how it goes, okay?" She walked towards the younger, placing a kiss on his hair.

"Will do. Love you." He smiled up at her from his seat on the floor.

"Love you too." And she was gone.

-

Louis was stood in front of the bathroom mirror, applying his last coat of lipgloss when the door rang. Suddenly his stomach erupted with butterflies, his nerves defiantly present. He gave the mirror a smile before leaving the bathroom. He picked up his cream coloured handbag on his way to the front door.

Pulling the door open, Louis looked up at the figure stood in front of him. "Hi." He breathed out. Harry stood in front of him, his curls framing his face and landing softly on his shoulders. Harry gave him a grin.

"Hey." Harry looked Louis over, "you look amazing." His eyes trailed back up to Louis' face. Louis was defiantly happy he had applied blusher because the red on his cheeks would be extremely noticeable if he never. Harry reached out his hand, asking for Louis' without speaking. "You ready?"

Louis smiled, his red shiny lips curving at the corners. He took a step forward, placing his hand in Harry's. Taking another forward, Louis closed to front door to the flat before walking hand in hand with Harry out of the building. "So," Harry began. "I have everything planned. But," he paused, pulling open his car door. Keeping ahold of his hand, Harry helped Louis step up into the Land Rover. "I'm afraid you're going to have to wait to find out."

Louis, who was now sat on the comfy leather seats, turned to Harry; faking a pout. "Really? Why can't you just tell me?" He whined.

Harry laughed, taking his hand from Louis' and taking ahold of the door, getting ready to shut it. "Now, now. Enough of the pouting business." He shook his head closing the metal framed door, walking around to his said. He stood in with ease, shutting his door behind himself. "And my mum said it was more romantic if I kept it a secret." Harry grinned to the other.

Louis tried to avoid the fluttering feeling in his stomach at the reference to romance. He raised one of his perfectly plucked eyebrows. "You asked your mum for date advice?"

Harry copied Louis' action, raising the opposite eyebrow. "Date, ey?" Louis leaned over the handbrake to hit playfully at Harry's chest. "I'm kidding." He smiled warmly. "And for your information, she happens to be very good at planning dates. As you will soon find out." Louis shook his head, his feathered hair falling over his face.

Once the two were both buckled up and the car was running, the two were back at the conversation. "So your mum." Louis asked, looking over to Harry who had his eyes glued to the road in front of him. "What's she like?"

Harry looked to him confused but angered the curious boy anyway. "She's nice. She actually works as a wedding planner- which explains why she's good at all this stuff-" Harry took one hand off of the wheel, waving it around to refer to the date they had planned ahead. "As soon as I mentioned the word 'date' she was nagging on about helping me. She said and I quote, "it's about time you had the balls to ask someone out."-" Louis laughed, his hand covering over his mouth. Harry turned to face Louis for a second before looking back to the road. "She'd love you."

"Oh really? And why's that?" Harry shrugged.

"You're sweet, kind, beautiful.." Harry would be lying if he didn't like the sight of Louis blushing over his own words. "Everything she's always told me to go for."

-

"Swan Lake?" Louis asked, reading what was written on the ticket Harry had handed to him. "We are going to see a Russian ballet?" He looked up to the taller boy. His face showing nothing as he waited for confirmation.

Harry's smile fell. "You hate it don't you?" Louis opened his mouth to talk but Harry had already began talking. "I knew this was risky but then I asked Luke and he said that you've always wanted to watch one. I really thought you would like it. I'm sorry, we can go somewhere else if you'd like? Maybe food? Or have you already eaten? We could-" Harry's limbs froze, his mouth going slack as a pair of lips softly pressed to the skin on his cheek.

He heard a small giggle before Louis confessed, "I love it. Thank you." He stepped back, reaching forward and taking Harry's hand in his own.

"You really like it?" Louis nodded and Harry let out a long, outstretched breath.

"You really spoke to Luke about it?" Louis asked as the two made their way towards the large old-but beautiful building. He looked up as Harry spoke, answering his asked question.

"Yeah." Harry chuckled. "I realised that I didn't know too much about you before, so I asked around. Well, I asked Ashton who told me to ask Luke. Very helpful young man." Harry handed their tickets over to the woman who was stood at the ticket booth and then thanked her once she handed them back.

Louis was amazed to how far Harry had gone for this date. How much he had planned and how amazing it really was. The seats they were taken to, were on a balcony, up and out of the way; with the best view in the whole theatre. Seats padded with cushions to ensure the show was watched in comfort.

And it was. Watched in comfort that is. Harry's hand never left Louis' and when it did, it was to rest it on Louis' thigh. (Which Louis like a lot). Louis found himself mesmerised by the dancers, watching as they spun around and around and around. As they made such a beautiful performance through nothing but the words of art and music. Both things combined blew his mind.

When the two exited the building, the air was cold and the night sky was empty, filled with a black emptiness. Over his bare shoulders, Louis was wearing Harry's black jacket. When asked if he wanted it, Louis hesitated. Claiming that if he took it, Harry would become cold. However, Louis really didn't have a say because as soon as Louis denied the offer, it was being placed around him.

The walk back to the car was a short one. A matter of minutes were spent in a comfortable silence as they walked hand in hand.

When they reached the car, Harry opened Louis' door for him; holding onto his hand to help Louis enter the taller car. "Thank you." Louis smiled as the other shut the door and made his way to his own side.

When Harry took his seat and had shut the door, he shivered and rubbed his hands together. "This bloody weather." He chuckled. He reached forward, messing with the heater trying to warm up the car for not only him, but Louis also.

"I've had a really nice night. The show was amazing." Louis spoke, causing Harry to grin over at him.

"Not over quite yet." Harry winked. Louis' eyebrows furred in confusion.

"What d'you mean?" Harry replied with a tap on his nose, revealing that it is indeed another secret. Louis huffed, crossing his arms and faking a pout as he sat back in chair; trying his best to seem annoyed.

"What did I say about the pouting?" Harry teased.

"Sorry, dad." Louis laughed at Harry's cringed expression, his head tipping back.

Harry admired the way his chestnut coloured hair flicked back. The way it reminded him of feathers and the fact that he would very much like to run his fingers through it if the boy ever needed comfort. Harry smiled as he started the car, Louis' laugh still filling the silence in the vehicle.

When they parked, Louis realised that right in front of them was a small coffee shop. The walls outside painted white and a small black logo hung on a sign along with the name. Walt's Cup of Tea.

Once they of the car Harry spoke. "This place does hot chocolate to die for, so I thought it would be nice to just sit and talk." Louis nodded silently bad followed Harry out of the cold.

Looking around, Louis noticed that the whole place was themed around Disney films. He was mesmerised. The place in a whole was a Disney fans heaven.

"Why don't you go get a table, I'll bring the drinks over." Harry's hand pushed on the bottom of Louis' back in an encouraging manor. Looking up to the boy, Louis agreed. He made his way over to a table which was covered in a pink table cloth, a glass slipper placed in the middle, gold confetti surrounding it. The chair in which he sat on was soft. The wood painted gold and the cushion pink to match the table cloth. It had to be Louis' favourite.

When Harry walked over, both hands were filled. Two mugs in one hand and two cupcakes in the other. Placing them on the table, Harry took his seat. He nudged a cake and cup towards Louis who then thanked him straight after.

"S'no problem." Harry grinned.

"But really." Louis sighed his eye lashed fluttering softly. "Thank you. For tonight. It's the most anyone has ever done for me and I really appreciate it." Harry's smile was warm and inviting, causing Louis to lean across the table and press his lips to the surface of his cheek for a second time that night.

Harry blushed once again, not used to Louis doing such things. He coughed, looking down before chuckling when he spotted Louis' smirk. He was confused when Louis reached forward, his thumb pressing to the spot he just kissed.

"Lip gloss." Louis explained and Harry nodded once he was done, understanding.

"So." Harry placed his hands around his cup. "Tell me, why did Luke mention that you had a small crush on me?" Louis choked on the drink he had just sipped at, he coughed, trying to regain his way of words.

"I'm going to kill him." He managed.

Harry laughed. "Aww, so you do? I think that's cute." Harry smirked when Louis glared, picking up his own drink to take a sip himself, his eyes never leaving Louis'.

"In my defence, you must like me too, seeing as you were the one to seem so shy when asking me out." It was Louis' turn to smirk, seeing Harry cheeks turn a shade of pink.

"Hey, I was under pressure okay? I had to sound cool otherwise you would have said no. And maybe I was a little nervous." Harry shrugged, trying to hide his embarrassment.

Louis giggled. "I had never seen you like that before. Y'know, without the confidence. It was cute."

Harry huffed. "I am not cute. If anything, I'm handsome, or hot. Or whatever the kids say these days." Louis giggled again.

"You're still a kid."

"Am not. M'18 soon." Harry admitted.

"But you are not classed as an adult until you are 18. So really, you are still a kid." He laughed at the glare he received from the taller of the two. "Sorry, but you have to face the facts." He shrugged.

"Okay, so are you 18 yet?" Harry raised an eyebrow.

"Actually, I am not. Soon though."

"Oh yeah?" Louis nodded. "How soon?"

"24th of December. So two months and 4 days." Harry's eyes widened.

"Holy shit, you're older than me!" Louis laughed, nodding his head to clarify. Harry shook his head in surprise. "Well I never saw that coming."

"Yours is in February right?" Harry nodded.

"The first." Louis took a sip of his drink. "Tell me something about you. Something you wouldn't go around telling everything else." Louis sat in thought for a second not really know what to say.

"What do you mean?" He asked.

Harry leant his elbows on the table, placing his head on his hands. "Tell me something that not everybody knows about you. It could be something from your childhood, what you wanna do in the future. Anything. I want to get to know you better and what's a better way then sharing secrets?" Louis laughed. "You can trust me, I promise."

Louis nodded.

"Okay, uhh." He paused looking down at the table where his hands lay. "I haven't seen or spoken to my mum and sister in nearly two years." He looked up and over to Harry who gave him a sympathetic look. "No." Louis said. "Don't give me that look. I'm lucky to get away from her. My mum. She... She didn't like the way I was. My sexuality, my sense in fashion. I was her nightmare of a son." As he spoke, he could see anger through Harry eyes.

"How could she do that?" He shook his head. "This is the Twenty-First Century, I thought people were understanding these days?" Louis looked down and Harrys features softened. He reached a hand across the table to take ahold of Louis hand. "I'm sorry."

"It's okay." Louis looked up. "I just wish I could see Jade again." Harry gave a small smile. "You know, she was the one who actually influenced my look..." And Louis went on about the years his sister would sneak him makeup and not tell his mum what was going on behind her back. And maybe Harry did just sit back and listen to the boy ramble on.

-

When they arrived back at Louis' flat, Harry had walked him up to the front of the building.

"Thank you, again, for tonight." Louis said, turning to Harry and pulling of his jacket as he did so.

"No problem. Maybe we could do this again.i really enjoyed it." Louis giggled.

"Sure, I'd love to." He pushed the coat forward, letting it fall into Harrys open hands. Louis opened his bag and searched through for his keys. However, they widened when he saw no sight of them.

Harry frowned when he saw the expression on Louis' face and the sudden increase of speed of Louis looking. "Shit." He heard Louis whisper.

"Is everything okay?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.

"No, no, no." Louis mumbled. He looked up to Harry. "I've locked myself out and Megan isn't coming home until tomorrow." Harry cluck the help but chuckle at the situation the boy was in.

"Hey, it's okay." Louis shook his head.

"No, it's not. Where am I supposed to stay? I can't exactly camp out on the street. Well, I mean I could. But I'd be freezing and-"

"Woah." Harry laughed. "There will be no camping out on the streets. You can stay round mine. I'm sure my mum wouldn't mind." Louis' eyes widened as he looked up to the younger of the two.

"Really? Isn't this a bit too much for a first date?" Harry laughed as he reached a hand forward and took ahold of Louis'. He began to walk them both back down to his car.

"We have a spare room you could stay in. Don't worry. No funny business." They reached the car and he helped Louis in once again. "I promise." He grinned.
