Sun's POV

In we went. Me, Gladion, and Hau. All Aether employees were on high alert, and battled us wherever we went. We defeated them all, easily, and made our way through Faba, and some Skull grunts. Faba was exceptionally easy with Incineroar. I learned a bit about Type:Null, Gladion's unique Pokemon, as well as Cosmog in the lab. Eventually we made it to the outside surface area, with plenty of Team Skull grunts in the way. Gladion lost to Guzma, and I stepped in to turn everything in our favor. Guzma was just as hard, if not harder than last time we battled. I managed to make to through, beating him. Gladion stayed outside for a little, and I went inside to find Lillie, hopefully. I was met with Zossie and Dulse, the Ultra Recon squad. They challenged me to battled, and I beat them once more. They we're talking about restraining Necrozma... Just what is going on here?

I ran through the large, white doors to find Lillie and Lusamine, staring each other down. Their features are so similar, they must be related some how... Lusamine looked up at me.

"Ah, Sun. It's been a while since we last saw you..." Lusamine greeted me. The atmosphere in the room was so intense. It was nothing compared to when I was here last time.

"Wha-?!" Lillie said, turning around to see me. "Y...you came? You actually came to help me, Sun? Thank you... Thank you!" She said, looking relieved.

"I'm just glad to see that you're not hurt." I smiled to her. She blushed a little bit.

"Hmm. So you know one another?" Lusamine said, studying both of us. "A gifted young like Sun... And he bothers with someone like you?" Lusamine said, looking towards us in disaproval.

"How disappointing."

"Disappointing?! What are you talking about?! Lillie is an amazing person that I'm glad I know!" I said to her. Lillie looked shocked.

Sun thinks I'm... Amazing? Sun? I should be calling him amazing. He came all the way here just for... Me?

I... I can't let him down. I felt determined now. I felt confident. Sun gave me confidence. Now that he's here, we can save Nebby!

"I don't need your approval, Mother! Or your permission! I will save Cosmog!" I said, turning to my Mother.

"My... You do say such incomprehensible things." Mother's eyes flashed in anger.

"Calling me mother? I don't have any children! Certainly not any wretched children who would run off and reject my love!" It was true. I ran off with Cosmog three months ago. Even though it was I, who ran off... It still hurt to be denied by my own mother...

"So tell me how you'll save that Pokémon. What can you do, Lillie? You failed to convince me to listen to you. You don't even have the strength of a Trainer. The only thing that you've ever done on your own is steal someone else's research material!" She said. She was right again, too.

"It's so terribly unattractive."

I wasn't a trainer... I couldn't do anything... My confidence left me... But Sun... Sun's a strong trainer... He'll help me!

"But know that my fathomless love will save even someone like you... When I protect this entire world from darkness!" She said. What could she mean? From darkness?

"Protect this world...? Mother! What is it you're trying to do?!" I said. What... What's going to happen to Nebby?!

"Is that why you want Nebby? Is that what you would sacrifice Cosmog for?"

"That's right... I will force to use its power, and it may very well die. But if it will save the world for all of my beloved Pokémon, then that is what I will do." She said, turning to the teleport pad in the back of the room.

"Lillie. I will be using the Cosmog you stole for a great purpose. You have kept it safe until now, and for that... I thank you." She said. Thank you... When she said that, it felt sincere... Like how she would talk to me before...

My mother disappeared, with the teleport pad taking her to who knows where... I turned to Sun to see him, almost angry looking. He had a determined look on his face. Was he getting upset... For me?

"Sun.. I really am happy that you came after me... But...but I... I want to save Nebby, but I don't know what I should really do!" I manage to blurt out. I'm always getting Sun's help... He's always there for me. He saved Nebby when I couldn't, many times. He saved me when I was getting assaulted by Team Skull... Seeing his face... comforts me when I need it...

"Let's go." Sun said, walking towards the teleporter. Before he stepped on it, he turned back to me and smiled his kind, gentle smile. He turned back and walked onto the pad, disappearing. I walked up to the teleport pad and looked down at it.

I can do this... I can do this! I thought to myself. I walked onto the pad and I was instantly transported. I was in a huge room, and ahead of me was Sun, my mother, a small black box, and a big terminal.

"Wh-what is this place...?" I said, looking around.

"I will open the Ultra Wormhole and take on the Pokemon that would steal our light... I will defeat even poor Necrozma!" She exclaimed. Soon after, Hau and... Gladion?! Both of them came through the teleporter behind me.

"Whoa! Sun! And Lillie!" He turned to look at me. "Man, I'm so glad to see you're OK!"

"Ah. Sweet Hau. So you came, too? I know better than to expect much from the members of the Ultra Recon Squad, but really... Couldn't Guzma even stop a few children?"

"Listen to us. Please! Don't open the Ultra Wormhole! We can't lose anyone else... Not like we lost Father!" Gladion said, cutting in. Father... We lost him a few years ago. We disappeared while researching Ultra Wormholes... That was when mother began to become distant..."Do you think I've forgotten?! As if I could forget what happened that day... I hate the Ultra Wormholes from the depths of my being. But that is why I will be the one to go! I will not let anyone stop me! Not even my own daughter and son!" She said. She sounded insane.

"What? Daughter? Son?" Hau said, looking around at us."Wait! You all are a family?!" He said, looking utterly shocked. Sun, though, was unphased. He probably figured it out himself.

"Perhaps once we were... Sweet Hau. But those wretches beside you left me." Lusamine said.

We once were... I wish it didn't have to end up this way. Mother then began to talk more and more about how she would use Nebby to open an Ultra Wormhole, and how it would likely end in it's demise... Cosmog was in the black crate next to her, and when she used the terminal, it began to glow. A big rift opened ahead of us, only for a few seconds before closing.

"Oh? You are trying to resist, aren't you, Cosmog? But why? For Lillie's sake, perhaps?" Mother said. For... My sake?

"How gallant you are... You love Lillie, don't you?" She continued. I heard muffled sounds from the black crate. I felt like crying...

"Mother, if you disappear, too-!" Gladion said, before cut off by Mother.

"Now you worry for me? Fine, Gladion. I will do what I must to put your worries to rest... by demonstrating my strength in battle." She said. She looked around at all of us, now with Guzma who teleported in.

"Let's see... Yes, you. Sun. You will battle me. If I can defeat even you, then that should silence Lillie's last objections as well." She said. Mother is going to battle... Sun? I turned to look at Sun. His face looked... Serious. I'd never seen him looking this intense before. But why though? Why here? It is for... Or is it because... Of me...?

"I accept your challenge." Sun said. Sun stepped forward, looking determined. Even Gladion and Hau looked at Sun, shocked. They could tell something was different. This wasn't a normal battle for Sun. He was going to go full power.

First, Sun sent out his Tentacruel, knocking both Clefable and Lilligant out instantly with his poison type advantage. He then switched to his Tsareena, knocking both mother's Milotic and Lopunny out due to their fighting and grass weaknesses. Finally, he used Incineroar to knock out Bewear due to it's fire weakness. Sun didn't break a sweat. No Z-move, not one Pokemon fainted. Mother looked in awe as Sun went through her Pokemon like a hot knife cutting butter.

Mother let out a frustrated groan as the battle concluded.

"How...how can you be so awful!" Mother said in angry tone. She breathed and collected herself, fixing her posture.

"Heh heh heh... Oh, Sun, you are strong. You should carry on with your island challenge." she said, trying to hide her frustration.

"Perhaps I've made you feel uneasy about my ability to handle this task? I will be fine. I won't be alone." She said, turning towards Guzma, who's been standing there in silence. "Guzma. With me."

"Yes, ma'am..." Guzma said, hurrying to Mother's side.

Gladion tried to convince Mother to let him go instead, but she just wouldn't listen.

"You can leave it all in my hands! Children really would all be much happier... if they'd only listen to the adults around them." She said, as she opened an Ultra Wormhole, letting it suck her into it, with Guzma running after. And just like that, they were gone. All that was left was the crate, and us. Floating above the crate was a small, pod looking creature. Not moving at all.

Is this... Nebby? And mother... She's... Gone... It felt just like when we lost father. I hope it's not the case...

"Come on. Let's get out of here. Nothing good can happen here." Gladion said, walking back to the teleport pad. We all nodded in agreement and followed.

I took Nebby and we all went back to the bedroom of my mother's to meet Wicke. We explained to her what happened, before the Ultra Recon squad came in and began to explain Necrozma itself. They explained all about the Z-Power and the light of Alola, and what Necrozma can do. They then left to take care of something...

"Miss Lillie... if you and your friends would like to get some rest first, I have prepared a few beds in the staff's residential quarters..." Wicke said. Both Gladion, Hau, and Sun agreed to it.

"I think... I'll stay here." I said, looking towards my mother's bed. The bed that I had slept in when I was a child.

"I want to spend some time trying to understand what it is my mother might have been thinking..." I continued. Wick nodded and escorted everyone out of the room. At this point the sun had already gone down, and it was night. I changed into my pajamas, and sat on the bed.

Will... Will things ever return to normal in our family?

I stood back up and shook myself a little bit. Some fresh air would be nice. I walked out of the room, and onto the outdoor deck. The night sky was full of stars, with a nice breeze blowing by every now and then. Leaning over the railing I spotted what looked like Sun. Sun was wearing what looked like a t-shirt, and a pair of shorts as his pajamas. He saw me and waved to me, gesturing to come over. I walked over to him and leaned over the rail with him, overlooking the ocean.

"What're you out here for this late at night, Ms. Lillie?" He asked me, trying to humor me a little bit.

"Oh, please. I just... Wanted some fresh air." I said. Sun laughed.

"Are you... Okay?" He asked me.

"Yeah, we'll... Find a way." I answered. I wanted to ask why his mood changed suddenly earlier. Should I ask? Should I not say it? Should I say nothing at all? Should I... Tell him?

"Sun... Earlier, when you battled my mother... You acted different... And before that, you said that I... That I was an amazing person." I said. Sun continued to look over the ocean. "Were... Were you telling the truth?" I asked him. Sun's face got a little red.

"Well, yeah. You are an amazing person, Lillie. You're so kind, and caring... I meant it. I'm glad I met you." He said, turning to me with that warm, gentle smile. My insides became butterflies.

"Y-You're glad that y-you met... Me?" I replied, beginning to blush. Sun turned back to the ocean and nodded. We were inching closer and closer to one another. I was getting so nervous, yet I couldn't stop myself. My feelings kept getting more and more intense the closer I got to him, and the more we talked.

"B-But I'm always getting in trouble, a-and you're always having to save Nebby for me, o-or you're always saving me, I even got you dragged into this situation, aren't I j-just holding y-you back...?" I said, continuing to ramble on. Just then, Sun pulled me in for a hug.

"It's okay, Lillie. You're not holding me back. If anything, you're the one who always pushes me forward." He said. This hug was really nice. It felt so warm, so soft... He smelled really nice to... I wish we could hug for hours...

"I could save you a million times or one time, Lillie, and I wouldn't care. Because I would get to see you, Lillie. You and your silly hat" He said, patting my head in our hug.

"Hey!" I protested. Sun laughed in response.

"But... I don't want you always saving me Sun. Not just for you, but for my pride as well."

I hugged him tighter.

"But, being saved is nice sometimes..."

I didn't say anything after. This hug was just too nice. Eventually, Sun let go. We looked at each other and blushed, realizing what just happened.

"S-Sorry! I, um, didn't mean to..." He blushed harder.

"I'm... Gonna go to bed, Lillie. Goodnight" Sun said, trying to hide his blush,

"Yeah... G-Goodnight..." I said, waving to Sun walking away.

I walked back into the mansion and looked at the set of clothes I had gotten with Acerola. I have to change myself. I couldn't save Nebby all those times before, but I have to save it now, as well as my Mother! And... I have to change myself for Sun... I can't have him saving me all the time, even if he's fine with it. I want to change myself not only for Sun, but for my sake as well!

That hug was way better than it was suppose to be. What Lillie said about me acting different... I guess I was. Seeing people talk down to Lillie... It really upset me. I just couldn't stand them talking that way about her...

I made it to the room prepared for me by Wicke.

Should... Should I have told her...? Would that have been the right time...?

I sat on the side of the bed, contemplating what just happened between me and Lillie. If I should've said more, If I should've said less...

I'm just glad she's OK. Man I wish I hugged her longer...

I heard the my door creak open, along with a beam of light that followed. I looked up to see an eye looking through directly at me. The eye looked at me with killing intent, I haven't felt such intense energy from a stare alone. Is this what the move Mean Look feels like?

"Why... Were you hugging my sister, Sun?" The voice behind the door said.

"G-Gladion?! Is that you?" I returned, confused and somewhat frightened.

"Answer the question." He returned. I had never felt such a murderous aura before.

"W-Were you watching?! The whole time?!" I said. I looked down to see Gladion's hand gripping his Pokeball.

"Yes, actually. I saw the entire thing. Hug from beginning to the end. Aswell as H-" I heard shuffling behind the door before Gladion could finish. Gladion's head turned to his left, as if he was talking with someone else. Was another person... Behind the door? Gladion finally stopped and turned back to me. He sighed in annoyance.

"I mean, *sigh* It was just me. I saw then entire thing alone. Now answer me. Why were you hugging my sister, and at this time of night of all things." He said, returning to his death stare.

"I was just outside and she just so happened to come out at the same time! It was nothing!" I said, nervously.

"Then the hug?" He continued.

"I-I was just, um, comforting her! Your mom just leave to another world through a wormhole right in front of us!" I manage to think up. Comforting her was true, but the subject was a bit different.

"Hmph. I'll let you slide. For now." He says.

"So you believe me?" I say, hopeful everything will go away now.

"No, I don't believe you. That's not all that happened, was it?" He said, walking away, closing the door. As I heard his steps walking farther, I heard a second pair of steps with a muffled voice that sounded like... Hau?

I finally relaxed onto my bed. But should I be relaxing? What if Gladion comes into my room when I fall asleep and kills me then? Then again, I'm exhausted. Going all out in a battle it kind of tiring... When I battle, I'm not always about thinking about being serious. I'm serious when fighting Guzma, or Gladion, sometimes Hau. Some kahunas, even. Hau isn't really ever serious, though. I usually battle and get caught up in the fun. I haven't lost yet, though. Even though we have strength, we'll have to keep getting stronger so that Gladion, or Hau doesn't surpass us.

Wicke told me to wait in the bedroom of the Mansion for some reason. I waited there for a good few minutes, before she came back in to tell me to go see Lillie outside. Was something wrong? I walked outside of the mansion and waited near the foliage. Just then, I heard footsteps behind me. I turned to see Lillie, who had tied her hair back.

She was no longer wearing her hat and dress, but instead had a skirt and what looked like a short sleeved hoodie. Her duffel bag was replaced by a cute pink string bag slung on her back. I waved to her and she turned to me and smiled.

She looks so... Amazing... Her smile was so adorable. Everything about her is just so amazing. I wanted to pull her in for a hug, or even kiss her right here and now... She just looked so absolutely stunning.

"I picked these clothes up in Malie... Do you think they suit me?" She said finally.

"They sure do." I said, smiling ear to ear. I was still completely enamored by her I couldn't really say more.

"Oh, Sun... Thank You!" She smiled at me. So cute...

"I feel like there's so much I have to do now... to save Nebby... to save my mother..." She paused.

"I...I want to be like you, Sun. I want to be strong enough to face any trial."

"That's why I'm going to try my hardest! This is my Z-Powered form!" She said smiling. Seeing her happy makes me so happy. She then did a cute little Z-move. Oh my Arceus.

"So this is where you were." I heard Gladion say, walking up behind us. He gave me a stare down just like last night, but not nearly as intense. He then handed Lillie something he called the Moon Flute, which was apparently an artifact of Alola's past.

"The Sun Flute and the Moon Flute. When sounded together, it's said that they can call the Legendary Pokemon... That is, if you believe in old myths, anyway. It's like the members of the Ultra Recon Squad said, right? If the Legendary Pokémon really does exist, we might be able to reach that other world where Necrozma is." He said, then turning towards me.
