Underlined text is actual dialogue from the game
Sun's POV
I left the Dimensional Research Lab. Something about what Lillie told me stuck with me, though.
"She's been like a real mother to me..." Thats what she said. That must mean that Burnet is like... Her foster mom? But that begs the question, where is her actual mother? Who is her actual mother?
I made it to the Diglett's Tunnel and met Olivia there. We talked for a short bit, and she told me to meet her tomorrow at the Ruins of Life for her grand trial, but first I should go to KoniKoni city. I walked through the cave, and battled a few Pokemon to train.
I met some people in white clothes who said they worked with the Aether Paradise. I helped them calm down a few Digglets before moving on in the cave
I battled a few trainers, taking them all down of course.
At the exit of the tunnel I was met with those Team Skull grunts. To be honest, I forgot they even existed.
Hau showed up just in time and helped me sweep them out of the way easily. I left the cave and met a man in a trench coat, calling himself Looker.
Soon, I made it to KoniKoni City
I stayed the night at the Pokemon Center in one of their rent able rooms.
I laid in bed, I slept earlier, but woke up. I couldn't go back to sleep afterwards. My mind was wandering off about Lillie...
"Hey, Rotom." I nudged the sleeping Pokedex that sat on the night stand next to my bed.
"Zzt, Zzt. Sun? You're still awake? Whatcha need?" He asked me.
"What... What do you think of Lillie?" I asked him. Rotom stared blankly at me for a little bit.
"So that'zz who you've been thinking about Zzt!" Rotom exclaimed.
'W-what?! No! That's not who I've been thinking about!" I said, sitting straight up in bed. My face was warm, but it was too dark to see anything but Rotom's glowing screen.
"Yep! It definitely izz who you've been thinking about, Zzt!" Rotom said, I could see him covering his mouth in a snicker.
"You know what?! We're done talking for tonight!" I said, turning over, away from Rotom.
There was silence for a little bit. I could hear Rotom's Pokedex noise from processing something, but what?
"Sun! Zzzt!" Rotom said.
"What now?" I responded.
"Do you... Zzzt, perhaps... Like Lillie?" Rotom asked.
"W-WHAT?! No! Of course n-not! T-That would be... ridiculous..." I said. I thought about it. Me... Liking... Lillie? I mean, that would explain why I'm thinking about her so much, why sometimes, I feel different about her, why.....
Oh my god. I like Lillie.
No, of course I don't, why, why would I like her? It's not like, sometimes I think about standing really close to her, or maybe, like, holding her hand to see how it... feels... Uh oh...
No, it, it can't be, I don't! I don't have a crush on Lillie!
"H-how did you even come to that conclusion?!" I frantically say to Rotom.
"Oh, Zzzt, I simply searched the Pokedex data, and compared your behavior and Lillie's behavior to Pokemon, discovering that there are many similarities between your behaviors and mating behavior in Poke-" I cut him of, grabbing him out of the air.
"M-MATING?! OK! THAT'S ENOUGH ROTOM!" I yelled, shaking him. I jumped out of bed, and ran down to the cafe area to help me cool down.

I sat at one of the bar stools, still in my pajamas.
"Um, Komala Coffee, please." I said to the barista.
"Sure thing!" He said, pouring the cup. He handed me the finished cup. I looked down at the cup and saw my reflection. My hair was a mess.
"Something the matter, kid?" He said, looking at me concerned.
"Oh, um, thank you! And... No, not really..." I said, continuing to stare down my coffee.
"You're on the island challenge, are you not? Are you worried about your trials?" He asked.
"Oh, not, really, I mean, I guess I should be..." I mutter. The man studies me and thinks for a bit.
"Is it... A girl?" He asks. I can't even escape it here!
"What?! No, no, of course not." I said, hiding my embarrassment terribly. He just stared at me with a grin. I gave in.
"Yeah... It's a girl..." I said, pretty low.
"Do you like her? And I mean, like-like her. "He said, grinning with his hand on his chin.
"No, well, I mean... I don't know..." I said.
"Trust me, boy. It gets better." He slid me a tray of Pokebeans.
"On the house" He smiled.
I drank my Komala Coffee, and went back to the room to get my stuff.
"Rotom, not a word." I said. Rotom snickered and went into my bag. I changed into my regular clothes, my blue striped shirt with a baseball cap, and slung my backpack on.
I went on my way to the Ruins of Life.
On the way, I met some Aether workers, one of them wore green glasses, who seemed way too full of himself. He ended up using me to help him defeat the Skull Grunts in their way, which wasn't really a problem. He told me then to meet at the Hano Grand Resort. I wonder what he wants me to see...
I ended up battling a lot more on the way, During a battle with some punk girl with pink yellow hair named Plumeria my Tentacool evolved into a Tentacruel! She said she was part of the Skull gang, and she would be serious next battle. I wonder what her problem was...
Finally, I made it to the Ruins of Life. I began to walk up the what looked like the entrance, but was stopped when I heard a familiar voice.
We were walking to the Ruins of Life, me and Professor Burnet I mean. We had been all morning, and during this time Professor Burnet kept asking me about Sun on the way.
"Where did you first meet him?" She asked.
"Oh... um, when he, saved Nebby on the bridge when it was being attacked by Spearow... Back then, and even now... He looked so... Confident, like he could do anything, I don't know how to describe it, he looked so..." I drifted off.
"Dreamy?" Burnet finished my sentence with a big grin on her face.
"D-dreamy?! Oh, I-I don't know professor... I'm not sure if I would use that word." I said, as I blushed.
Dreamy the right word to describe him. I don't think I'd ever say it out loud, though.
"What else do you like about him?" She asks.
"Well... He's really kind, almost every Pokemon he meets likes him, even Nebby... He's really strong, too. He battles with no problems, and always wins... Even against Kahuna Hala!" I said. I was smiling, just thinking about Sun.
"I can see why you like him." Burnet said with her wide smile. I blushed a little bit. Ahead of us we saw Sun standing alone at the entrance.

"Sun!" Professer Burnet called out. He turned around and smiled at us.
"Hey Professor Burnet, Hey Lillie!" He said back, waving.
I looked straight at Sun and waved to him.
"Lillie got lost again, so I brought her here to you." She said looking my way and winking.
"She couldn't even find her way to the Tide Song Hotel on her own! She said she saw Team Skull and tried to avoid them." She said, referring to our missed meeting.
"Now I've gotta go. The Masked Royal has a match, and there's no way that I'm missing it!" She said, giving me a thumbs up while smiling, as if to say "Good luck!".
Professor Burnet walked off, leaving just me and Sun by ourselves.
"I came here for Nebby." I said
But I wanted to see you, too... Is what I wanted to say after.
"Though... as you saw, I didn't come here myself so much as I was brought here with the professor's help..."I said. I looked towards the ruins entrance.
"Within these ruins waits the guardian deity of Akala Island... This is Tapu Lele's ruin."
"Pew!" I heard Nebby say excitedly. I turned around to find him out of the bag once more.
"You! I know you tried to drag me along to the Ruins of Conflict, too... Why are these ruins important to you? What do the guardians mean to you?" I said. Nebby just kept looking at me in silence. I turned back to Sun.
"Just think what would have happened if you hadn't been there back then..." I said to him.
"I'm glad I was there then." He smiled. I could look at him smile all day...
"Pew!!!" I heard Nebby say. I turned back to the entrance to find Olivia walking out.
Olivia greeted us, and then began talking about Sun's grand trial.
"If it's all right with you, Sun, I think Nebby and I would like to watch, too." I said after they finished talking. We walked to the sideline and began to watch the incoming battle.
First, Sun sent out a Tentacruel, giving him the type advantage to Olivia, who sent out an Anorith. The battle between the Pokemon ended with Anorith fainting. Olivia then sent out a Lileep, who had neither advantage nor disadvantage over Tentacruel.
Tentacruel used a poison move on it, which was super effective! The Lileep also fainted.
At this point, Tentacruel was getting very weak, so Sun switched to a Steenee, which i almost mistook for a little girl, instead.
Olivia then sent out her Lycanroc, the midnight form.
I stared at Sun for a while during this battle. I had an excuse for it, anyways.
He looked so focused battling. So, in the moment. It didn't look like he was going to lose, and I don't think he was going to let himself either. He's like the opposite of me. I'm always doubting myself, I can't trust myself to do things right... I guess maybe that's why I'm so attracted to him...
Sun and Olivia continued their fight, as Steenee blocked many of Lycanroc's attacks with its pig-tail looking objects on it's head.
Just then, both of them began to use their Z-Moves! Sun using grass, and Olivia using rock.
Lycanroc formed a giant boulder, ready to crush Steenee. But Steenee then shot a huge beam of energy through the rock, destroying it. The beam then hit Lycanroc, leaving it fainted.
After the battle finished, Sun's Steenee evolved into a Tsareena as a result! Olivia and Sun shook hands, and exchanged compliments about each other's battling. Finally, Olivia handed the Rockium Z to Sun. Olivia showed Sun the Rock-Z dance.
Both Sun and Olivia were amazing. I think Nebby enjoyed the battle, as well.
"By the way, Lillie, this might be a weird question, but... Why even come to the Ruins of Life if you're not a Trainer?"
"Oh. Because of Nebby... It's not originally from here, and I want to help it get back to its home... But I don't have any idea how to do that... It seems fond of the ruins for some reason, so I keep visiting them and hoping that maybe I will find some clue to help it..." I said
"You certainly don't see Pokemon like that every day. Tapu Lele may be called the guardian deity of our island, but it can also run wild at times. Regular Pokemon normally avoid the guardians at all costs... Unless they are strong enough to face the tapu themselves, that is." OIivia said back.
"Pew?" Nebby said, oblivious. Olivia turned to Sun.
"I think your journey will hold many surprises. And I hope it holds many joys." She said with a smile. She turned back towards me.
"I'll take you back to town, Lillie. You're doing everything you can for your partner, even though you're not a Trainer. I like that kind of person, so I can't help but give you a hand!" She smiled., just then Hau came running in.
"Aue! You're Kahuna Olivia! I'm Hau from Iki Town! You've gotta let me battle you!" Hau said, running in.
"Hey, Hau! Haven't seen you in awhile!" Sun exclaimed.
"Oh, hey, Sun! Guess what? This weird green guy from Aether told me to come to Hano Grand Resort once I finished up with my grand trial here on Akala. Crazy, right?"
"Yeah... He told me the same thing!" Sun said.
"Ooh, the Aether Foundation? I'm not sure what he wants with you, Sun, but why not go find out? If you don't want to keep him waiting, then Charizard should get you there in no time.
The Hano Grand Resort lies just over the bridge near the Dimensional Research Lab."
"Th...the Aether Foundation...?" I can't go back there, especially because of the incident three months ago...
"U-um! I think I'll stay here. I'd like to see how Hau's battle goes, too. Even though I hate to see Pokémon get hurt... But I know that both of your Pokémon are dedicated to battling beside you two."
"Oh... Okay then, Lillie! See you later!" Sun said. He looked kind of sad that I wasn't going to be with him... Does that mean... Sun will miss me? If Sun misses me, does... Does he feel the same way?
No, no... I'm overthinking this. Sun... Sun would never feel this way about me... He's too different from me...
We moved onto Hau's battle, which looked just as intense, but... I just wasn't all that intrigued. I was too busy thinking where Sun could be, or what he was doing right now without me...
Soon enough, the battle ended and Hau flew away on his ride Pokemon.
"Alright, time to take you back to town, like I promised." Olivia said. Olivia's voice snapped me out of my thoughts. The sun began to set.
"Oh! Yes of course!" I replied. We walked down the path for awhile before Olivia spoke again.
"Did you enjoy the battles?" She asked me.
"Oh! yes, I thought you and Sun looked amazing! Sun looked so amazing with his Pokemon..."I answered.
"What about Hau's?" She asked.
"Oh, um... I wasn't... Paying attention..." I said, kind of guilty. Olivia laughed.
"Lillie... You like Sun, don't you?" Olivia said, smiling.
"W-What?! N-no! Of course not! W-Why would you assume that!?" I say, blushing.
"Ohoho, you can't fool these eyes, Lillie. I saw you gawking at him the whole time he was here. Plus, you didn't pay any attention to Hau." She grinned at me. We walked for a little more, my face still flushed red. She's figured me out!
"Are you going to tell him?" She asked.
"I-I never said I l-liked him!" I returned. Olivia gave me a look as if she was trying to say "Uh huh, sure..." I gave in. The pressure was too much.
"Well... I, I don't know... What if... He doesn't like me?" I said. Olivia laughed.
"Well Lillie, I don't think I can help you because, um, well..." Olivia's voice got really low for a second.
"I'm... single..." She said, basically whispering.
"But! You should keep an eye on him if you want to get closer with him. Look for signals he gives off, maybe."
"S-Signals...?" I ask.
But there's no way Sun could like me... He's... Out of my league... I'm sure he'd much rather be with someone like that Mallow from earlier...
"Well, we're here!" Olivia exclaimed as we stood in front of the hotel.
"Oh, um, thank you Olivia!" I said, bowing. I walked into my hotel room and let Nebby out.
I changed into my pajamas, a soft button down shirt, with pants made of a similar material and design. I laid in my bed and thought of Sun, of course.
If Sun said to me that he liked me, and I told him that I liked him, would that mean... We would be dating? And would that mean I could... Maybe, hold his hands... hug him, a lot... Kiss... Him...?
My heart started racing at the thought of Sun's lips touching my own. I slapped my face with both of my hands, trying to get my blush to disappear.
And... If we started to date... would that mean later we would get... Married? Like Professor Kukui and Burnet?
I blushed even harder.
No, no! Put away the thought, Lillie, just focus on going to sleep...
