"Where are you off to?" Chelsea asked, looking at me in confusion as I was putting different snacks in my bag.
I looked up at her after stuffing more Lays potato chips in the bag. "I told you off and on this week that I'm going to babysit Mallory this Sunday, which is today," I said.
She blinked, giving me a confused look. "Wait, that's today?"
"Yes." I nodded, laughing at her obliviousness.
"Oh...wow." She laughed, shaking her head. "Have fun with that then!"
"I will. It'll be nice being a teenager again." I looked around, trying to think of what else to bring. I didn't need anything else, so I waved bye to Chelsea, then took a taxi to Rebecca's mansion.
I told the taxi driver where to go, and he let me out right outside her mansion. I looked at the time, wincing. I was fifteen minutes late because waiting for a taxi and traffic on the way here.
I knocked on the door, and Rebecca opened it. "Hey," I greeted her with a smile on my face. I glanced around the mansion, noticing how fancy it looked.
"You're late," was all she said, quickly turning around into the house.
"Sorry about that. I had to wait for a taxi, and there was a lot of traffic."
She turned around, narrowing her eyes at me. "How long have you lived in the city?"
I blinked. "My whole life except when I was four. I briefly lived in the mountains then."
"Then you should know how the city works." I opened my mouth to say something, but she continued, "Anyways, I assume you know I would have some rules in place?"
"Yes, of course." I nodded. "I even brought some games and snacks." I grinned, showing her cards and snacks.
"Mallory can't have much sugar and junk foods."
"Is she diabetic?"
"No, she's a model, and has to watch her figure."
I resisted to roll my eyes. "Oh okay."
"She also isn't allowed to have anyone over while Todd and I are gone."
"Are there any emergency numbers you would like me to have?"
"You can call Vince or Jesenia if there is one."
I nodded. "Alright-"
"I would hope there would be no emergencies under your care." She gave me a serious look.
"No, of course not." I shook my head.
"Good." She looked at the time on her phone. "I have to leave now. Mallory is in her room, which is upstairs. You can go to any room except any of the bedrooms."
"Okay, I'll see you later."
"Bye." She nodded. "Bye, Mallory!" She exclaimed in a louder voice.
"Bye, mom," Mallory said to her as she came down the stairs.
Rebecca opened the front door, then left.
"Hey, Mallory!" I turned to Mallory as I greeted her with a smile.
"Hey," Mallory said back, then checked her phone.
"I have some snacks in my bag, if you want it."
As she looked up, her eyes widened in surprise, and she smiled. "I'll have some. My mom hardly ever lets me eat sugar, and if she does, it's a small amount."
I took out chips, cookies, and candy out of my bag, giving it to her. "I'm sorry about that. You can have as much food and snacks as you want."
"It's okay. I've been used to it since I first started my modeling career."

"When did you start?"
"When I was ten."
"Oh wow." I took a bite of Sweet Tarts. "I remember when I was ten, I wanted to be a model when I grew up."
"Really?" She scrunched her face in confusion as I nodded. "Why?"
"I was obsessed with watching modeling shows, and I wanted to be just like them." I shrugged. "Whenever I passed by Victoria's Secret, I wanted to be like those models, except not modeling in lingerie or anything like that." I laughed.
"Trust me, you wouldn't want to be a model. It's not as easy as it looks, and it's a lot of pressure."
"Yeah, I see that now."
We went into the living room with our snacks, and watched a few T.V. shows.
Mallory's phone rang, and she got up to go upstairs.
I continued flipping through the channels until Mallory came back.
"Just letting you know, a few of my friends will be coming over," Mallory said.
"Oh okay," I said. "How many?"
"Four."
I wanted to know if Rebecca would allow that, but decided against asking Mallory, since I knew what it was like being a teenager, and I didn't want to be a lame babysitter.
"Cool." I gave her a smile.
"We'll be in my room most of the time, so you don't have to worry about anything."
"No biggie. I was a teenager once, so I know the feeling."
A few minutes later, the doorbell rang, and I went over to open the door. "Hey," I said to the four dressed up girls that were standing outside of the door. All they did was give me a confused look.
"Hey," Mallory said to them as she came to the door while we let them in. "This is Stacey. Don't worry, she's cool."
"Is that your nanny?" One of the girls, who had long straight blonde hair, asked her.
"No, she's babysitting me today." She glanced at me. "Hey, we're going to go to my room to work on a project for school."
"Do you need any help with anything?" I asked her.
"No, we're good. Thanks." They headed upstairs, going to her room.
Why are they dressed up? I shrugged to myself, then started watching "Grey's Anatomy" on the T.V.
A few hours later, I made myself dinner in the kitchen. I had a deli chicken sandwich with salad on the side.
After I ate dinner, I heard the doorbell ring. That's weird. I wonder who's here.
I opened the door, and before I could say anything, a group of ten teenage girls and guys came inside the house.
"Let's party!" One of the guys exclaimed as he pumped his fist.
Mallory and her friends came downstairs. This time, Mallory had changed into a more revealing outfit with heavy makeup on her face.
"What party?" I asked as I went up to Mallory.
"It'll just be a small party. Don't worry about it," Mallory said.
"I don't think your mom would approve of this." I gave her a look. "I'm going to need them to not be here."
"But she's not here, is she? Besides, she's always rude to you."
"That is true, but I really don't want to get in trouble for this."
"Did she outright tell you I can't have a party?"
"Well, not exactly, but-"
"Then it's fine." She laughed.
The blonde girl from earlier came up to Mallory. "I thought you said your nanny was cool," she said.

"She is." Mallory nodded.
I closed my eyes for a few seconds, and sighed. "Okay, but no one else. I don't want this to get too big," I said sternly to Mallory.
"Uh, well about that-" All of a sudden, Mallory got interrupted when a huge group of teenagers barged into the house.
"What is going on?" I made my voice go louder since everyone was being loud.
"Sorry!" Mallory apologized, wincing.
One of the guys plugged in a stereo, then started playing loud music.
I was still trying to register everything that has happened the past five minutes. Since I basically had no control, and couldn't do this by myself, I went into the bathroom, then called Chelsea to come over.
I knew I couldn't call Rebecca or Todd at this point because they would be furious at me for letting this happen.
I came out of the bathroom, widening my eyes in horror as I saw a bunch of teenagers taking shots of alcoholic beverages, especially when I saw Mallory doing it.
"Hey, no drinking!" I exclaimed to Mallory as I grabbed her cup, pouring the drink down the kitchen sink.
"Ugh," Mallory scowled, then went back to where her friends were, next to the wall in the kitchen, talking with a few guys.
Even though I felt like I needed something to drink at this point, I didn't since that would show support them to drink.
I felt a tap on my shoulder, then noticed it was Chelsea. "Hey, stranger," she greeted me with a grin.
"I'm so glad you're here!" I sighed with relief, giving her a hug.
"Wow, I haven't been to a teen party in a long time." She laughed as she looked around.
"How can you be laughing? They're out of control!"
"Because that used to be us when we were teens."
"But I'm supposed to be babysitting Mallory, and I'm doing a terrible job at it."
"Well, Rebecca shouldn't have had you babysitting her daughter if she hated you."
"That's a good point." I tilted my head to the side. "I wonder why she wanted me to babysit in the first place."
She shrugged. "At least we're partying in a mansion." She grinned as she got a few tequila bottles.
My eyes widened. "Don't drink in front of the teenagers, Chels!"
"Why? I'm legal." She laughed.
"Because you'll be supporting them." I gave her a look, crossing my arms.
"Actually, I know what to do." She walked over to the alcoholic beverages and took some of them over to me. "We're going to hide them away, and I'm going to need you to help me."
"Got it." I nodded as we got some of the alcoholic beverages, and put it in the basement.
Unfortunately, after we put most of the alcohol away, two guys brought more alcoholic bottles and cans.
"Well, that plan went out the window," I muttered. I turned over to Chelsea, but she was nowhere to be found.
I walked over to the living room, and saw Chelsea dancing with a tequila bottle in the middle of the living room with a group of Mallory and her friends.
I couldn't believe I was seeing Chelsea partying and drinking with a bunch of teenagers, instead of helping me what to do. Although, at the same time, I wasn't too surprised either since Chelsea loved parties.
I sighed, deciding to join Chelsea and the teens, instead of being an actual babysitter. Chelsea took pictures and videos of ourselves. Everything will be fine as long as the party doesn't get out of control.
Chelsea and I rolled our eyes, and went back to the living room.
Everything was fine for the first hour, besides getting hit on by annoying teenage guys, until a fight between four drunk guys broke out in the backyard.
"Okay, party's over!" I exclaimed, my quick reaction leading me to unplug the stereo.
Everyone groaned, rolled their eyes, and complained.
Mallory and her friends came up to us. "Hey, I think I lost my wallet," Mallory said to Chelsea and I. "Can you two help me find it before kicking my friends out?"
I let out a sigh. "Sure," I said. "Where would you like us to look first?"
"I can check upstairs, and you two can check the basement."
"Okay." I nodded.
Chelsea and I headed over to the basement. "Do you see anything?" Chelsea asked me.
"Everything but a wallet," I replied.
We kept looking, but then we heard the door shut, and the music turned back on.
We gave each other a look, and quickly ran back up the stairs to turn the door knob, but it didn't budge. "Ugh, they locked us out!" I hissed. "I can't believe we got tricked by teenagers."
"I know what I'm doing," Chelsea said, going to the alcoholic beverages we put down in the basement's mini fridge. "At least we have tequila." She grinned, opening a bottle, and then drinking it.
"We have to get out of here."
"Why don't we just call the police?"
I gave her a blank stare. "Because we're responsible for letting this happen, and everyone else is underage. We would go to jail."
"Oh, right." She nodded. "Or we could call Vince."
"That would also result in a disaster. He trusted me to take care of his niece, and he's also busy tonight."
"I'm out of ideas, so I'm going to resume drinking tequila." She drank a few sips of it.
"I'll have a few sips in the meantime," I said, sighing. I opened a bottle, drinking some of the tequila as I was trying to think of how to get out of here, and stop this party.
"Hey, there's a window," I said, pointing at a window in the back, but at the top. I looked around to see if there was a ladder or something else that we could step on to climb up there.
"I don't see anything we could step on," Chelsea said.
"Me either." I frowned. "The only thing I can think of is one of us lifts the other person up to get back inside, and unlock the basement."
"I'll go since they probably won't let you back in."
"Okay." I nodded. "Climb on my shoulders."
Chelsea got up, and I quickly lunged her up the window.
I waited a few minutes, and finally saw the door open. I went out of the door, seeing Chelsea outside of it.
"We made it out!" I exclaimed happily. "Okay, now I'm putting a stop to this party."
I walked to the stereo for the second time, unplugging it again. "Party's over. Time to go somewhere else!" I exclaimed as everyone groaned and complained.
Within ten minutes, everyone but Mallory and her friends had left.
Mallory gasped when she saw us coming toward her and her friends. "We need to clean this place up," I said in an annoyed tone. I looked at Mallory. "I don't even know if your dad is coming back tonight."
Before Mallory could say anything, her phone vibrated. "It's a text from my dad," Mallory said. "He said he just left, and he'll be back in a few hours."
I looked around the room, noticing cups, plates, bottles, cans, and other types of trash. "Let's get to it then." I sighed.
Mallory and her friends cleaned up the living room, kitchen, and front yard while Chelsea and I cleaned upstairs and the backyard.
The next few hours went by quickly, and before we knew it, we were done cleaning up the messes.
Chelsea went outside to get a taxi driver to pick us up to go back to the apartment. Meanwhile, Mallory's friends left.
We heard a knock on the door, and I answered it. "Hey," I greeted Todd as he walked inside the house.
"Hey," Todd greeted back. "How was it?"
"It was alright. How was the business trip?"
"It went well." He nodded. "Well, I'm going to give you the paycheck, and then you can go home."
"Okay."
He gave me the paycheck, and I said goodbye to them. I walked outside a few houses down, where the taxi was.
The taxi took us back to the apartment, and we were relieved that we got through the evening.
