Even though the fashion show was just in a few hours, I was still trying to decide what exactly I should wear.

"Ugh, Chels, what do you think?" I asked her, hold a long red dress in one hand, and a sparkly gold dress in the other.

Chelsea walked into my room, wearing her bartender outfit, because she was going to work in about an hour. "If it was me, you know I would wear the red one since it shows some skin," she said, shrugging. "But that's just me."

"What about Rebecca?" I whined. "I'm just trying to make a good impression."

"You just told me the other day that you didn't care what she would think of you." She gave me a look.

I sighed. "You're right. I'll just go with what I would wear, which would be the red one." I grinned.

"Awesome." She grinned. "You're lucky you get to a fashion show because you're dating a rich hot boss, who has an older sister that's a fashion designer."

"I know."

"I wish I had that life." She made a pouty face. "I seriously need to find a man." She sighed.

"You'll find one someday, probably sometime soon, especially with how persistent you are." I laughed.

"I sure hope so." She quickly made herself a ham and cheese sandwich, and then ate it.

In the meantime, I put on the red dress, and admired myself in the mirror for a bit. I also put on red high heels that matched my dress, foundation on my face, light pink lipstick, and a tiny red purse.

"What do you think?" I asked Chelsea as I walked out of the room, grinning.

"You look gorgeous!" Chelsea exclaimed. "Vince will be blown away by your beauty."

I laughed. "Speaking of Vince, he's going to pick me up. I'm going to check my phone." I went back into my room, and checked my phone.

Sure enough, there was a missed call, and an unread text from Vince. I looked at the text that said:

He used a smiley face emoji.

I grinned when I read that, because normally he doesn't put any emojis on his texts, but this time he did.

I replied back to his text, saying:

I checked myself in the mirror one last time to make sure none of my makeup was smeared, and that my dress didn't have any threads hanging out, or any rips on it.

"Hey, I'm going to work now," Chelsea said to me as she peeked her head in my room.

"Okay, I'll see you later," I said, waving to her.

She smiled, and then walked out of the apartment.

A few minutes later, the doorbell rang, and I went over to the door, opening it.

"Hey," Vince said as if his breath was taken away. "Wow, you look amazing." He smiled.

He was wearing a black tuxedo, and quickly brushed a part of his hair with his hand.

"Thank you," I said, feeling my face flush. "You look charming and spiffy yourself."

"Thanks." He glanced around. "So are you ready?"

"Of course." I stepped out of the apartment, closing and locking the door.

We went into his car, and arrived to the same fancy hotel where Vince had his gathering about five months ago, and Chelsea and I crashed it.

I started giggling at the memory.

"What's so funny?" Vince asked as we walked toward the hotel, giving me a confused and amused look.

"I just remember that you had your gathering at this same hotel, and how. Chelsea and I snuck in there," I replied, still laughing at the memory.

"How did you two sneak in there anyways?"

"I tried to sneak in by myself first by pretending to be Harper, but the security guy got mad at me because she already walked in, and he had the guest list, so I called Chelsea for her to help me to come up with a plan. Somehow, we got in, and we had to sneak in through the vents because the room was locked. When we got out of the vents, we ended up in the kitchen, and had to hide because some chefs came in. Sometime after, we opened a door to get out, and then we crashed your party." I continued to laugh.

Vince burst out laughing. "Is this something you and Chelsea did on a regular basis?"

"Uh, sort of. Mainly in high school when we would sneak into college parties."

He continued to laugh, and after we got past the security guard, we walked into a big room that was already filled with a lot of people.

"We have reserved seats in the front," Vince said to me, pointing at the front of the runway stage.

"Okay," I said, nodding my head.

As we walked over to our seats, we ran into Rebecca, who was directing a group of young women, who I assumed were models, and Jesenia, to go to the back room behind the stage.

"Vincent!" Rebecca said to him, smiling and giving him a quick hug. "I'm glad you made it."

"Of course," Vince said. "I have to support my sister."

"I know you had to clear your busy schedule for this, so that's a big thank you." She grinned.

"Hey-" I started to say to her, but then a woman, who looked to be around Rebecca's age, came up to her, and whispered something in her ear.

Rebecca looked back at Vince, saying, "I have to get some things done. I'll see you in a bit." Her and the other woman walked into the room behind the stage.

Vince and I went over to our seats, and the fashion show started about fifteen minutes later.

"Welcome ladies and gentlemen," Rebecca said into the microphone, grinning. "You will see the models wearing the newest designs that hasn't been released yet."

All of us clapped after she said that.

"Now, let's get this started," she continued.

Dance music started to play, and everyone watched the models go on stage, one by one.

Rebecca sat down on the right side next to Vince. I was on the left side next to Vince, so we were only a few seats away from each other. I didn't dare look her way, even though I knew she was having her focus on her own fashion show.

I watched the models in awe. I didn't know if we were allowed to take any pictures or record any videos, but I decided to be safe, and not do that. The last thing I wanted to do was make Rebecca hate me even more, and get in trouble, possibly arrested.

Jesenia looked stunning as she walked on the runway. The photographers were taking a lot of pictures of her, and they did that to the other models too.

When the fashion show was over, Rebecca went up on stage, and said. "Thank you for attending this absolutely phenomenal and amazing fashion show! I'm so proud of how everything turned out. Now, for the V.I.P. guests, we will have dinner in half an hour." She smiled.

Whenever she smiled, it looked like a pout, which made her even more intimidating than what she already was.

Vince and I got up from our seats. I glanced at Rebecca, who walked off of the runway stage to go talk to people, who I assumed were in the fashion field.

Vince turned to me. "What did you think of the fashion show?" He asked, holding my hand.

"I thought it was amazing," I said, grinning. "The clothes were beautiful, and the models were gorgeous."

"That's good." He smiled.

We went around, meeting a few different people that Vince knew.

"I wonder where Jesenia went," I said to Vince, looking around the room. "I haven't seen her since she was on the runway."

"They're most likely doing a photo shoot," Vince said.

"That makes sense." I nodded.

"I only know that because that's what Jesenia tells me that's what they do afterwards."

A little less than a half an hour later, we sat down at a table, waiting for everyone else to sit down so we could eat.

The table was set up as a big rectangle. Rebecca sat at the head of the table, Vince sat on the left of her, and I sat on the left of him.

"I'll be right back, I have to make a few phone calls for work," Vince said to Rebecca and I.

Rebecca nodded, and I said, "Okay," to Vince.

When Vince got up, Rebecca stared me down without a smile as I was sitting there. After a few seconds, I squirmed because I felt uncomfortable, and then I decided to be polite. "Hey, I enjoyed the fashion show!" I gushed. "I've never been to one, and it was amazing."

"It's no surprise you haven't been to one," Rebecca said with pursed lips. "The outfit you're wearing indicates that."

I gave her a confused look. "What's wrong with my outfit?"

"You're showing some skin on your stomach. That's inappropriate and a bit trashy to wear for a fashion show."

"Okay...well I didn't know what to wear to one." I was taken aback of what she was saying to me.

"Well, now you do." She took a sip of champagne.

Thankfully, Vince came back to us. "Sorry, I'm back," he said as he sat down. "What did I miss?"

"Nothing, really," I muttered, avoiding eye contact with Rebecca.

"Stacey and I were just discussing some things," Rebecca said, smiling. She turned to me, still smiling. "So Stacey, what do you do at Vince's office?"

My eyes widened in surprise, as I did not expect a switch in personality like that. "I'm his secretary," I said. "I make sure files are in the right place, I call and email different people, and I organize things for Vince."

"Don't you find it weird to be dating him? I mean, he's your boss." She laughed, and then took another sip of champagne.

"Not really. I think it's kind of cool, and unique. Also, kind of like something that would happen in a movie." I shrugged.

"It does sound like something out of a movie," Vince agreed, nodding his head.

"I can agree with that somewhat," Rebecca said.

All of a sudden, a man, who looked to be in his 40's, and a young teenage girl walked up to our table.

"There you all are!" Rebecca exclaimed, motioning them to come over.

The man sat on Rebecca's right side, and the girl sat next to him.

"Stacey, this is Todd, Rebecca's husband," Vince said. "And this is, Mallory, their daughter."

"Hello, nice to meet you all," I said, giving them a smile.

"Hello, nice to meet you too," Todd said, smiling back.

Mallory was too distracted with her cell phone, so Todd nudged her. "Hey," she muttered to me, not looking up from her phone.

"How did you enjoy the fashion show, sweetie?" Rebecca asked Mallory.

"It was good," Mallory said, still not looking up from her phone.

"The food is ready," one of the waiters said to Rebecca.

"Good," Rebecca said. "Time to get in line, and get food." She told everyone else.

We followed her to the food, which was set up in a buffet style.

When Mallory reached for macaroni and fried chicken, Rebecca said, "Not too much of that, now. You have to maintain your figure for your modeling career. You look gorgeous now, so I'm just trying to help."

"Ugh," Mallory said, rolling her eyes. She put some of the macaroni and fried chicken back, but still had some on her plate.

I immediately felt bad for Mallory. I made sure to put extra macaroni and fried chicken on my plate, so I could give some to her later.

After we all got our food, we sat down at our seats.

"That's a lot of food on your plate," Rebecca pointed out, looking at me.

My mouth dropped a little open at that sudden remark, but I tried not to let it get to me. "Yeah, it looks delicious," I said, giving her a half-smile.

I looked over at Vince, but he and Todd were in their own conversation, so I didn't think they heard what Rebecca said.

I continued eating the food, but I remembered what I needed to do. When Rebecca got up temporarily, I quickly went over to Mallory. "Hey, I saved some of the macaroni and fried chicken for you," I whispered to her.

She looked up from her phone in surprise. "Oh okay," she said, smiling as I handed her the food onto her plate.

She ate the food before her mom returned. "Thank you," she mouthed to me.

"You're welcome," I mouthed to her back, smiling.

"What are you two talking about?" Rebecca asked, glancing at Mallory and I.

Mallory gave me a nervous look, and I proceeded to say, "I was just wondering what she thinks of fashion shows."

"She loves them, and wants to become a supermodel." Rebecca looked over at Mallory. "Isn't that right, Mallory?"

"Yes, mom," Mallory mumbled, pulling her phone back out. She rolled her eyes as her mom looked away.

"So Stacey, have you been to college?" Rebecca asked.

"Yes, I have," I said casually, nodding my head.

"What was your major?"

"Associate's degree in business."

"That's it?" She took a sip of her champagne, still looking at me.

"Stacey does great at her job," Vince said to her before I could say anything. "She's an excellent secretary. The best one I've had so far actually." He gave her a look.

"That's interesting." She nodded at him nonchalantly.

Thankfully, she didn't say anything else to me for the rest of the evening, except when Vince and I were leaving.

"Thank you all for coming," Rebecca said to us, smiling with her usual pursed lips.

"No problem," Vince said.

"You're welcome," I said to her.

I waved at Jesenia as Vince and I walked out. "See you later!" I said to her. "You did great on the runway."

"Thanks, and see you later!" Jesenia said, grinning and waving at me.

Vince and I got into his car, and then he dropped me back to my apartment complex a few minutes later.

We got out of the car.

"I had a great time, Vince. It was great going to a fashion show for the first time," I said, grinning.

"I did too, and I'm glad you made it," Vince said, smiling. "Although, I do think you looked more gorgeous than the models on the runway."

I felt my face flush at his compliment. "Thanks." I grinned.

He leaned closer to me, put his arms around my waist, and kissed me.

We kissed for a while, and then pulled away.

"I'll see you later," I said to Vince with a smile.

"Okay, good night," Vince said, smiling back.

I went to my apartment, and noticed Chelsea was already asleep on her bed.

Then, I went to my room, got ready for bed, and then went to sleep.
