"What do you think I should wear to an art museum?" I asked Chelsea, looking at the clothes in my closet. I was getting ready to go on a date with Vince to the art museum.
"I'm not sure what artsy people wear," Chelsea said, looking confused. "Maybe something simple yet elegant?"
"That's what I'm thinking." I picked out a black dress with sequins.
Chelsea recently moved in a few days ago. We unpacked most of her stuff, but some of her stuff was still in boxes. She was currently staying in the only other room I had available.
Her old apartment was now on sale, and I could tell that she was still upset over that.
"Are you sure you'll be okay?" I asked her as I put on my gold necklace.
"Yeah," Chelsea said, waving her hand. "You should go and have fun on your date with Vince. I'll be fine."
"Oh okay." I grinned. "Thanks."
When I picked out what I wanted to wear, I changed into that, fixed my hair, and got my purse.
"Hey, I'm going to be heading out now," I said as I walked out the door.
"Okay, have fun!" Chelsea exclaimed, waving.
I waved back, closed the door, and took a taxi to go to the art museum.
When I got out of the taxi, I saw Vince standing outside of the door, glancing around. He was wearing a dark brown suit.
He smiled, waving as he saw me walking towards him.
"Hey," I said, then giving him a kiss.
"Hey," Vince greeted back, kissing me back, and then smiling. "How has your day been so far?"
"It's been good. Chelsea just moved in recently so most of her stuff is unpacked, but she still has some unpacking to do, not too much though."
"Oh, Chelsea moved in?" He raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah." I nodded. "She lost her job recently and the landlord was about to kick her out because she was late paying him the past few months, and couldn't afford living there anymore, so I suggested her to move in with me until she finds a job and place."
"That's nice of you to do that."
"Thanks."
"You're welcome." He nodded, and glanced at the art museum. "So I guess we can go in now."
"Yeah, let's go."
We walked in the art museum, and looked at the different paintings, drawings, and sculptures.
"I like this one," I said, pointing at a painting of purple lavender flowers.
"I do too," Vince said, nodding his head in agreement.
I kept looking at the different paintings, and unfortunately, I bumped into a woman who looked to be in her 30's. She gave me an annoyed look.

"Sorry," I said to her, wincing.
She rolled her eyes, and continued walking.
I turned to Vince, and then I burst out laughing. "I got reminded of the time that Chelsea and I went to get ice cream, and then I accidentally bumped into you. You were really annoyed at me," I said.
"I remember that," Vince said, chuckling.
"I need to watch out where I'm going. One time, I almost fell in a hole in the city when I was a little girl."
"Like Alice In Wonderland?" He had an amused smile.
"Yes, exactly." I laughed. "I didn't follow a white rabbit though."
"And you weren't in a forest either."
"True." I continued to laugh. "Although, it would have been cool to go to Wonderland for a while."
"Yes, unless the Queen Of Hearts is after you."
"Also true."
We walked over to another room, and I saw a couple from the back that looked like my parents. Is that them?
I quickly looked away because I didn't want them to see me with Vince, or with any other guy for that matter. They would tend to interrogate and be kind of embarrassing, depending on what type of guy I was dating.
"Anastasia?" I heard my dad's voice say in surprise.
I turned around, forcing a grin. "Hey..." I said as they walked over to Vince and I.
"Is that Vince with you?" My mom asked, looking surprised.
"Yes, this is Vince," I said, nodding my head.
"Are you on a date with him?" She smiled.
"Yes-"
"That's great, Anastasia! How long have you two been dating?" My dad interrupted, smiling.
"About a month now."
"About a month? How come you didn't tell us?" My mom gasped.
"Well, I didn't want to put any pressure on Vince and I," I replied.
"Oh, I'm sure it won't be any pressure at all." My mom laughed, waving her hand.
My dad turned to Vince. "Hello, I'm sorry I didn't say that earlier. I was just surprised that you two are at an art museum together, and are dating," he said, holding his hand out.
"Hello, sir, and it's alright," Vince said, shaking my dad's hand.
"How are you? How's the business coming along?"
"I'm doing well, and the business is coming along great. Thanks for asking." He smiled. "How are you?"
"I'm doing good." He smiled back. He looked at his watch, and turned to my mom. "We have to get going soon if we want to make it to the golf course on time."
"Golf course?" I questioned.
"Yes." He nodded. "Your mom and I are going golfing later this afternoon with some others from my work."

"Oh okay."
My mom glanced at Vince and I, saying, "Before we go, I just wanted to mention that we want to have you two over for dinner next weekend around six."
"Actually, Vince might be busy," I said.
Vince looked at the calendar app on his phone. "I'm not busy next weekend. I would love to have dinner with you all," he said to my mom, smiling.
"Great! I'm thinking of doing it next Saturday," My mom said, grinning. "I'll see you two later."
"See you later, Anastasia and Vince," my dad said, waving.
"Bye, Mr. and Mrs. Marks," Vince said, waving.
"Bye, mom and dad," I said, waving.
Vince turned to me, chuckling. "I guess they want to get to know me," he said.
"Yeah...sorry about that," I said, wincing.
"Oh no, it's fine. I would like to get to know them too."
"I'm not sure you would." I laughed. "They can come off as interrogating."
"Well, they want to get to know me, and that's one way to do it." He chuckled.
We walked in the hallway, looking at more paintings and sculptures.
"Okay, but don't say I didn't warn you," I said, laughing.
"Alright," Vince said, chuckling. He put his arm around me as we stopped to look at a few paintings.
The paintings were about love and couples. Some were wedding portraits, and others were acrylic on canvas.
"Those are beautiful," I said, complimenting the paintings.
"Just like you," Vince said, giving me a smile.
"Thanks." I slightly blushed.
We looked at different art projects and pieces at the museum for another hour, and then we decided to drive over to Chipotle to get lunch. Vince and I got burrito bowls. Mine was chicken, and his was beef. I also got a chicken burrito bowl for Chelsea too since I knew she also loved Chipotle.
"So you're getting the other one for Chelsea?" Vince asked.
"Yeah, it'll probably cheer her up more," I said.
"Oh okay." He nodded.
We got the burrito bowls to go. "Hey, I'm going to give this to Chelsea. I'm not sure what you want to do, but you're welcome to come over for a bit," I said to him.
"I can come over for a bit, and I can take you there," Vince said, nodding his head.
"Oh okay." I grinned.
We headed over to his car, and went to my apartment.
"Stacey and Vince?" Chelsea said as we walked in, grinning.
"Hey, Chels!" I exclaimed with a grin, waving to her.
We sat down on the couch.
She quickly came over, and sat down with us. She turned to Vince. "Hey, Vince...is it okay if I call you Vince? I mean, you're dating my bestie, and you're not my boss or anything."
"Hello, Chelsea, and yes it's okay to call me Vince," Vince said, chuckling. "How have you been doing?"
"Eh, I'm alright. I recently moved in with Stacey because I got fired, and couldn't afford the rent. I've been looking for a job though."
"Oh okay. Well, I hope you find one soon."
"Me too." She took a bite of her burrito bowl. "So how was the art museum?" She glanced at us.
"It was nice," I said. "We ran into my parents though."
"Oh?" She raised an eyebrow.
"The art museum was nice," Vince said, nodding.
"My parents invited Vince and I over for dinner next week," I said to Chelsea.
"Oh...that's interesting," Chelsea said.
"Yeah..."
"Why do you two seem uncomfortable about that?" Vince asked, looking confused.
Chelsea blinked, turning over to me. "Have you not told him?" She asked me.
"Sort of," I said. Vince continued to look confused, so I continued, "My parents haven't really approved of any guys I've dated in the past, and interrogate them."
"They seemed okay with me," Vince said, shrugging.
"Yeah, they are actually."
"Then why are you uncomfortable with that?"
"Because I'm not sure how they're going to react. If you couldn't tell already, my parents and I are different from each other. I do love them very much, but we have different ways of doing things. They wanted me to go to a university after high school, but I didn't want to do that. I just went to a college here in town and took some classes that would help me be a secretary, and they didn't like that decision very much."
"There's nothing wrong with that. You're a great secretary." He put his arm around me, giving me a kiss.
"Thanks." I gave him a smile, and then kissed him back.
"Well, I actually have to get going. I have to finish up some things for work."
"Oh okay. Well, I'm glad we went to the art museum, and you came over for a bit."
"Me too." He smiled. "I wish I could stay here a bit longer, but I have to stay on schedule."
"I understand." I smiled back. "You're a hard worker, and that's a great thing."
"Thanks." He stood up from the couch, and I followed him to the front door. "I'll see you later." He gave me a kiss.
"See you later." I grinned after we kissed.
He looked behind me, over to Chelsea. "Bye, Chelsea."
"Bye, Vince," Chelsea said from the couch, waving.
Vince walked over to his car, and then I went back inside the apartment after he drove off.
