The rest of the week went by, and today was now Saturday, the day of our date to go to the picnic in the park.

I checked the temperature outside, and it said it was 71 degrees Fahrenheit, and also sunny. It wasn't too cold or too hot, it was just right.

I put on casual, yet stylish clothes. I wore a yellow blouse/vest, black shorts, oxfords, gold necklace, and a gold bow clip in my hair.

Vince had told me earlier that he was making sandwiches for the both of us, but I baked the peanut butter oat bars, since I knew he liked those.

When I was ready, I walked out of my apartment, and took a taxi to the park.

When I got to the park, I looked around for Vince. I saw him sitting on a blanket, with two baskets, fruits, vegetables, snacks, and flowers.

"Hey," I said, grinning as I walked over to him, and sat down.

"Hey," Vince greeted back, smiling. "You look very beautiful, Stacey." He handed me red roses.

"Awww, thank you, Vince," I took the flowers, and put it next to me since I had no where else to put it.

"You're welcome. Did you want to eat now?"

"Sure." I put the container down. "I made the peanut butter oat bars." I grinned.

"Excellent. My favorites." He smiled as he got two baskets, and took sandwiches out of each of them. "There's also fruits, vegetables, and snacks."

I looked at the plates, which had cantaloupe, grapes, watermelons, salad, and chips. "Looks great." I smiled.

"Thank you." He smiled back. "I've made us Mediterranean sandwiches."

I put the sandwich on my plate, and then took a bite out of it. "This is great!"

"Thank you, I'm glad you like it." He smiled.

We ate our food, and then started talking again while eating the snacks.

"So what are your favorite music, bands, and singers?" He asked suddenly.

I thought for a moment before I answered. "Well, I mainly like pop, soft rock, and indie music. Matchbox Twenty, Britney Spears, and Goo Goo Dolls are my favorites. What are yours?"

"Matchbox Twenty is my favorite band actually." He smiled.

"Really?" I raised my eyebrows.

"Yes." He nodded. "I also like Train, The Fray, and Goo Goo Dolls."

"Train is really good too." I grinned.

"I do admit, I like some songs by Lana Del Rey." He chuckled.

"I listen to her too sometimes."

I glanced around, and saw people walking, sitting, and riding their bikes. I saw a couple holding hands as they walked passed us. This will be like Vince and I.

By that time, we were finished eating our food and snacks.

"Did you want to walk around or stay here?" Vince asked.

"We can walk around if you want," I said, shrugging. "I'm fine either way."

"Okay, we can walk around then."

I helped him get the plates, blanket, and some of the leftover snacks. We went over to his car, and put it in the trunk.

The sun was going down, and Vince grabbed my hand as we walked toward the river.

"That's a really pretty sunset," I said.

"Not as pretty as you," Vince said, smiling.

My mouth opened, and I blushed. "Thanks." I grinned, not expecting that. "You look handsome yourself."

"Why, thank you."

"You know, I never expected this to happen."

"Us dating you mean?" He raised an eyebrow, having an amused smile on his face.

"Well, yeah. Also, the compliments and kissing too."

"If it makes you feel any better, I didn't expect that either actually." He chuckled.

"Yeah, it does actually." I laughed.

We stood by the river, and kissed.

After we resumed walking, we went into one of the small shops close to the river.

"Look at this," I said, pointing at round sunglasses. "You should try this on."

"Really?" Vince said, chuckling.

"Yes." I handed him the sunglasses, and he put it on. "It looks like something Harry Potter would wear." I laughed.

"I suppose so." He laughed as he looked at the mirror. "These look ridiculous on me." He shook his head, still laughing.

I pulled my phone out of my pocket, and then he quickly took off the sunglasses. "Hey, what are you doing?" I laughed again.

"You were about to take a picture of me."

"Yeah, so?"

He sighed, chuckling. "Fine, I'll put it back on." He put the sunglasses back on, and even posed for a few pictures.

"I knew there was a silly side of you." I teased, laughing.

"I guess so." He shrugged, chuckling. "Now, you have to try these on." He reached for cat eye sunglasses, and gave it to me.

I put them on, and both of us laughed as I looked at the mirror. "Now, you can take some pictures, if you want." I handed him my phone.

"Okay." He chuckled, and took a few pictures for me while I did different poses.

After that, we walked back outside, and sat on a bench. "Hey, so I'm thinking of having a meeting at work sometime this week about us and the changes of rules regarding dating a co-worker," he said. "What do you think of that?"

"I think that'll be great," I said, grinning.

"Oh okay, good." He smiled, and we held hands.

"I wonder how it'll go."

"Me too."

"So what are your favorite movies and shows?"

"I mainly like historical documentaries, some action, and drama. I do like some romantic comedies, I admit." He chuckled. "What about you?"

"Comedies, romance, and action."

"Now, for T.V. shows, I do watch Law And Order, Castle, Friends, and some documentaries."

"Yeah, for shows, I like Friends, Gossip Girl, Castle, and Grey's Anatomy."

"I've watched some of Grey's Anatomy. I didn't finish it since it has twelve seasons and I'm usually very busy." He chuckled. "It does seem good though."

"We can watch some of it sometime, if you want."

"That would be nice." He smiled.

"Cool." I smiled back.

"How would you like going to a museum with me sometime?"

"Sure. What kind of museum?"

"There's different kinds of museums, like art, history, and science."

"Oh okay." I nodded.

"I'll take you to an art one, since you had told me you like doing crafts and drawing."

"Yeah, that would be great." I grinned.

"Good." He smiled.

We stood up, and held hands as we walked around. The sun had already set, and as usual in the evening, the city was filled with people walking around.

"So, you and Chelsea are good friends with Jesenia?" He asked.

"Yeah," I replied, nodding my head. "We met her in high school, and she became a model during that time."

"Yes, I do remember she became a model at that time."

"We used to get into the coolest parties and clubs because of her." I laughed.

"So, you were a party girl?" He raised his eyebrows with an amused smile on his face.

"Yeah I was." I laughed. "I still sometimes go if Chelsea wants to, but I haven't in a while, except for mine, and yours, if that counts too."

"Which reminds me, I still can't believe you two crashed my business gathering." He chuckled.

"Yeah...I'm sorry about that." I laughed again. "I don't know what I was thinking."

"May I ask why you did that?" He kept chuckling.

"Well, because I like you, wanted to impress you, and be better since I messed up in work quite a few times, but I ended up making it worse anyways." I looked down at the ground.

"Well, after a while, you did impress me." He smiled. "As frustrating as you were to me, I do admit, I liked you then too."

"You did?" I grinned.

"Yes." He nodded. "And I still like you now."

"I do too."

After a while of talking and getting to know each other, we went back to the park.

"Hey, I'm going to have to go since I still need to finish up some things for work," he said. "I can take you back to your home."

"Oh okay," I said. "That sounds good."

He opened the door for me, and closed my door after I got in. When he sat in the driver's seat, I said, "Thanks for being a gentleman."

"You're welcome." He smiled, and then we drove off.

When we got to my apartment complex, he said, "It was a great official first date with you." He smiled as he got out of the car to open my door.

"It was a great date, although when we went to dinner together, that almost felt like a date too." I said, getting out of the car, and smiling back.

"Yeah, it did. That was great too." We looked at each other, and kissed

After we pulled away, I said, "I'll see you later."

"See you at work tomorrow." He smiled.

I walked to my apartment, and waving as I looked behind. He waved back, still standing next to his car.

When I got inside, I saw his car leave, and I got ready for bed.
