I went to work, not knowing how I would act or what I would say around Mr. Havens.

Will we talk about the kiss? Will he ignore me and act like we didn't kiss? Will we kiss again?

I wanted to bring up the kiss somehow, but of course not during work hours, when we were all busy.

"Stacey? Earth to Stacey?" Harper said, snapping me back into reality. "The elevator is still open. I've been holding it for you."

"Oh, hey, Harper!" I exclaimed as I stepped into the elevator.

As the elevator door was about to close, Harper pressed the 'hold' button, and Mr. Havens came in.

"Thank you," Mr. Havens said, nodding his head once.

"No problem, Mr. Havens," Harper said.

"Good morning, Anastasia and Harper." He glanced at us.

"Good morning, Mr. Havens," I said, smiling.

"Good morning," Harper said. She turned back to me, looking confused. "Are you okay, Stacey? You seem a little out of it today."

"Who, me?" I said, raising my eyebrows.

"Yes you, silly." She laughed.

"No, I'm fine." I laughed.

"Oh okay. I was just wondering since I had to call your name a million times and keep holding the elevator door open."

I glanced at Mr. Havens, who was slightly chuckling to himself.

I felt my face flush. "Oh, I was just concentrating on what I was going to do today."

The elevator opened, and then we stepped out, and go to do our jobs.

I went over to my desk, and sat down. As I was checking emails for work, Mr. Havens came over to my desk, and said, "Hey, Anastasia, we're going to be having that business meeting in an hour the office where we have our business meetings."

I looked up from my computer, nodding my head. "Oh okay, I'll see you then," I said.

He gave me a smile, and then went over to Dante to tell him the same thing.

I do my work until the next hour comes. About five minutes before the meeting started, I went to Mr. Havens' office.

Dante, Sanjay, and a few other co-workers were sitting down at a table. I sat down at the only seat that wasn't taken, which was across from Mr. Havens, who was at the head of the table. I was sitting at the other head of the table.

"We will now begin this meeting," Mr. Havens said. He took out a few pieces of paper, and passed it to each of us. Then, he stood next to the white board, and started to talk about sales and different ideas.

We took notes of what he was saying, but I found it hard to concentrate.

"Anastasia?" Mr. Havens said, and I quickly got back into focus.

"Yes?" I said, not knowing what was happening the past few minutes.

"I asked if you have any ideas."

I blinked, still not knowing what was going on. "Ideas on what?"

"On what we've been discussing the past few minutes. About what we should do with our sales. Do you think we should keep doing what we're doing or do you have any ideas you would like to suggest?" He raised an eyebrow.

"Oh okay." I nodded, now knowing what was going on. "Well, since we've been successful lately, maybe we should just keep doing what we're doing." I shrugged. I honestly didn't know much about sales yet.

"Very well." He nodded.

"I agree with Stacey," Sanjay said. "Since the sales are going very well, why should we change anything?"

"I think we should come up with an idea even though the sales have been doing well," Dante spoke up. "If something were to happen, then we should always have a backup."

"That's good thinking, Dante," Mr. Havens said. "I do agree we should probably come up with at least one idea."

For the next half an hour, we came up with a few ideas, but nothing was going to be decided yet until we got the rest of the co-workers to choose which ones were best.

"Okay, well this is all we were going to discuss for now," Mr. Havens said. "Everyone may get back to work."

All of us got our things, and went out the door, and as I was about to, I heard Mr. Havens say, "Except for you, Anastasia."

I turned around, raising my eyebrows. "Yes, Mr. Havens?" I said.

"About yesterday..."

"Oh...yeah. What about it?" I held my breath, unsure of what he was going to say next.

"What did you think of it?" He looked at me.

I felt my face flush again. "I thought it was good. What about you?"

He scratched his head. "Well, I thought it was good too." He paused. "I'm usually against relationships within the workplace-"

"I'm so sorry, I understand!" I blurted out.

He chuckled. "You didn't let me finish."

"Oh...sorry. Carry on then." I laughed nervously.

"But there's something about you that I like. Now, I take relationships very seriously, so it takes me quite a bit to ask you this. Anastasia, will you be my girlfriend?"

"Yes!" I immediately exclaimed, grinning.

"Great." He smiled.

"I like you too, Mr. Havens." I paused. "But is it against the rules for having relationships within the workplace?"

"I do usually frown upon it, but I will be making changes to that. I'm the CEO, so I make the rules when it comes to that." He chuckled.

"Oh okay, great." I grinned again.

"I still have to treat all of my employees with the equal amount of respect though."

"Absolutely." I nodded my head.

He glanced at the clock. "You may get back to work now, Stacey."

"Awww, you finally call me by my nickname." I laughed. "I'll get back to work though. See you later, Vince."

"See you later." He gave me another smile.

I nodded, walking out of the meeting room, and then went back to my desk.

Not only was I surprised that Mr. Havens and I kissed, but now I was officially his girlfriend.

While I was working, I couldn't help but smile.

Before I knew it, it was lunch time. I headed over to the break room, and opened the fridge only to remember that I forgot my lunch at home. "Ugh," I said to myself.

"Everything okay?" Sanjay asked me.

"Yeah, it's just that I forgot my lunch at home," I said. "It's not that big of a deal."

As I was talking, Mr. Havens came in. "If you want, I'll give you some of my lunch," he said.

"Sure." I nodded, and then we sat at a table.

He cut his sandwich in half, and gave the other half to me.

I took a bite out of the sandwich. After I swallowed it, I said, "This is really good. What kind of sandwich is this?"

"It's a Cuban Panini."

"Oh, I think I've had those before. This is the best one I've had though." I grinned.

"Thank you. I made it myself." He smiled.

"That's great."

We ate our food, and then went back to brief conversation before we went back to work.

A few minutes later, everyone started to get back to work.

"I'll see you around, Stacey," Mr. Havens said, smiling.

"And I'll see you around, Vincent," I said, smiling back.

We both went back to work.

The day passed by rather slowly, but when we were done, I went into Mr. Havens' office.

He was on the phone when I walked in, and gave me a smile. "Okay, sir. I understand. Was that all the paperwork you needed?" He said into the phone. He paused, and then continued, "That's great. You have a good rest of the day." He hung up.

"And how was your day?" I asked, sitting down on a chair.

"It was busy, but good. How was yours?" He asked.

"Mine was the same, busy, but good." I grinned.

"So do you have any plans this weekend?"

"No, I don't have any."

"Good." He smiled. "Did you want to go to the park nearby and have a picnic?"

"That sounds great." I smiled back.

"Okay. It'll be on Saturday at five o'clock."

"Okay. I look forward to it."

"Me too."

There was a knock at the door. He glanced at the clock, and looked at me. "Hey, I'm going to be busy right now. I'm going to have a discussion with a few other businessmen."

"Okay, and I'll see you later." I smiled.

"I'll see you later." He smiled back.

I opened the door, and walked out while the businessmen went inside Mr. Havens' office.

I texted Chelsea and Jesenia since I haven't told them about Mr. Havens yet.

We decided to meet at Jesenia's huge and fancy apartment, which was on the other side of town.

When I got there, I knocked on her door.

"Hey, Stace," she greeted me as she opened the door. She was holding her white Chihuahua, named Twinkle.

"Hey, Jesenia," I greeted back. "And hey, Twinkle."

Twinkle barked in response.

"Hey," Chelsea said, sitting on the couch.

"Hey," I said, waving as Jesenia and I sat on the couch.

Twinkle sat on her own miniature couch, and curled into a ball.

"So what did you want to tell us?" Jesenia asked.

"Yeah, what is it?" Chelsea asked.

"Well, I'm just going to say it. Mr. Havens and I kissed last night, and today he asked me out," I said, grinning.

"Really? That's great!" Chelsea exclaimed, grinning. "How did that happen?"

"Awww, that's great, Stace," Jesenia said, grinning. "And I'm curious too. How did that happen?"

"Mr. Havens scheduled a business meeting over dinner, and we went to a Spanish restaurant. Everyone else couldn't go, and Mr. Havens and I were the only ones there, so we decided to eat there. We talked for quite a bit, and after we were done, he offered me a ride. When he dropped me back to my apartment complex, he got out of the car, and we kissed. Then, earlier today at work, he asked me if I wanted to be his girlfriend, so I said yes," I explained.

"That's so great," Chelsea said, grinning.

"Wait, when did you start liking him?" Jesenia asked me.

"Since I started working there," I replied.

"And what's funny is that at her party, and at that one dinner with Dave, you, and Mr. Havens, she thought that you and Mr. Havens were a couple," Chelsea said to her, laughing.

"Oh wow," Jesenia said, laughing. She turned back to me. "Well, if you let me know sooner, then I could have given you advice on Vince."

"You can still give her advice." Chelsea pointed out.

"That's true." She laughed. "Well, with Vince, I know he takes relationships very seriously."

"That's good," I said, nodding my head. "It's time that I need someone like that."

"He also likes cooking, reading, and goes to museums for fun."

"Yeah, he told me about how he cooks and reads. I didn't know he likes going to museums though."

"Oh okay." She nodded. "Even though he comes off as serious sometimes, he is a really nice and loyal person."

"That's good." I grinned. "He's taking me out on a date this Saturday."

"That's great. What are you going to do?"

"Picnic at a park."

"Awww," Chelsea said, grinning.

"That sounds like it'll be fun. Let us know how the date goes," Jesenia said.

"I will," I said, nodding my head.

We started talking about other things, and Twinkle got on the couch with us.
