{Song in video: Bishop Briggs - River}
I got to work, and sat down at my desk. The first thing I did was check my work email. I noticed Mr. Havens had sent me one, so I clicked on it. It was an invitation to a business meeting this evening over dinner.
I smiled, sending an email back saying that I would be going.
"Dante, guess what?" I said gleefully.
"What is it, Stacey?" Dante said, not bothering to look up from his computer.
"I've been invited to a business meeting over dinner!" I grinned.
"I have too, but I won't be able to go." He glanced at me.
"Oh okay."
Just then, Mr. Havens came out of his office. "Good morning, Anastasia and Dante," he greeted, having a smile on his face.
"Good morning, sir," Dante greeted back.
"Good morning, Mr. Havens," I greeted cheerfully.
Dante quickly went back to work, but Mr. Havens and I kept looking at each other. "I'll see you at dinner later this evening, Anastasia." He broke the slightly awkward silence.
"Oh okay, I'll see you then." I grinned as he nodded, and walked away.
"Boss man seems happier than usual lately," Dante remarked.
"He does, doesn't he?" I said. "I wonder why."
He shrugged. "Well, it's good, whatever it is."
"Yeah." I nodded my head in agreement.
We went back to our work.
Later on, I went home, and got ready for the business meeting dinner. I looked up the place we were going to, and it was a Spanish restaurant. It wasn't super fancy, but it wasn't casual either.
It was still a bit chilly outside, but not snowing or really cold, so I decided to wear a dress that was more on the casual side, a scarf, and a sweater.
I went outside, and hailed a taxi. I went in the taxi, and got to the restaurant a few minutes later.
I walked inside, and noticed Mr. Havens talking on the phone as he was waiting for the table.
I waited until he was done with the phone call, and then greeted, "Hey, Mr. Havens." I smiled.
"Hey, Anastasia," Mr. Havens said. "Well, apparently, the business meeting over dinner isn't happening today since hardly anyone could make it."
"Aw, I'm sorry."
"It's okay. I'm just wondering, since we're already here, did you still want to have dinner?"
My eyes widened in surprise. "Yes, that would be great." I grinned.

"Okay, good." He smiled.
I'm going to have dinner with Mr. Havens.
Mr. Havens went over to the waitress. "It looks like we don't need a table of five after all. It will be only the two of us," he said.
"Oh okay. Well, we have a table for two available over here," the waitress said, pointing at a table across the room.
"That's great."
"Follow me then."
We followed the waitress to our table.
"Anything you two would like to drink?" The waitress asked us.
"Are you ready to order?" Mr. Havens asked me.
I nodded. "Yes, I'm ready," I said. "I'll have a strawberry margarita."
"I'll have lemonade."
"Okay, got it," the waitress said, writing it down. "I'll be back in a few minutes so you two can decide what to eat."
"Sounds good," Mr. Havens said.
We looked through our menus, figuring out what we would order to eat.
A few minutes later, the waitress comes back. "Have you all decided what you want to order?" She asked.
"Have you?" Mr. Havens asked me, and I nodded my head. "Well, I'm going to order the burrito bowl."
"Okay, good." The waitress wrote his order down. She looked up at me when she was done. "And for you ma'am?"
"That's actually what I was going to order," I said, grinning.
"Cool." The waitress grinned. "Well, if you all will need me, just come get me."
"Oh okay," I said.
The waitress smiled, and then walked away.
"So I remember you telling me that your mom is a fashion designer," Mr. Havens said.
"Yes," I said, nodding my head.
"That's really interesting because my sister is also a fashion designer." He continued.
"Oh really? Who's your sister?" I gave him a curious look.
"Rebecca Conrad."
"Rebecca Conrad is your sister? I've heard of her." I grinned. "The clothes she makes are stylish attire for businesswomen. I think that's great."
"Yes, she's very successful with that." He smiled. "Your mom is too. I've seen some clothes she's designed."
"Really?" I raised an eyebrow in surprise.
He nodded.
"She wants to become more well known, like your sister."
"I'm sure she'll get there." He smiled. "Your parents both seem like hard workers."
"They are." I nodded. "So I heard that you and my sister, Liz, were in the same graduating class."

"Yes, we were."
"She also said you were valedictorian, which that was what she wanted to be." I laughed.
"Yes, I was." He chuckled. "And, oh really now?"
"Yeah." I nodded, and then took a sip of my drink.
"So onto a more fun conversation, what are your hobbies?"
I blinked in surprise at the random question, especially coming from Mr. Havens. "Well, I like to draw, but I haven't done that lately. I also like shopping, and some crafts, like making jewelry." I took another sip of my drink. "What are yours?"
"When I'm not as busy, I like exercising, going to the park, and reading." He paused to take a sip of his drink. "Those are some interesting hobbies you have."
"You have interesting hobbies too." I smiled. "I don't know why, but it's hard to imagine a CEO having any hobbies."
"Yes, I'm sure it's hard to imagine." He chuckled. "Even CEO's need exercise."
"Oh, of course." I laughed.
The waitress came back with our food. "Here you go, enjoy." She put our food on the table. "Anyone need a refill?"
I shook my head, and Mr. Havens said, "Yes, please." He handed her the glass.
The waitress took his glass, and walked away.
We started eating our food. "This is great!" I said. "I've never been to this restaurant before."
"Yes, it is," Mr. Havens said, nodding in agreement. "It's one of my favorites actually, besides Luigi's."
"I was wondering about that." I laughed. "That place is good too."
He nodded, smiling. "So what are your favorite foods?"
"Probably Mexican and Italian food." I took another bite of my food. "What about you?"
"Chicken alfredo. I mainly like Italian food, but I like other foods from different cultures."
"Like what?" I raised my eyebrows curiously.
"Spanish, European, Mediterranean, and Asian foods."
"Oh, yeah I like those too." I smiled. "Do you cook?" I didn't know why I blurted that out.
"Yes, I do." He nodded, smiling. "Whenever I have time, I look for new recipes, and cook."
"That's awesome." I grinned. "I like to bake, but I only cook because I have to." I laughed, and continued to eat my food.
"What do you bake?"
"Mainly cookies and cakes." I shrugged. "Whatever I'm in the mood for."
"Those peanut butter oat bars you made a little while ago were delicious."
"Thanks." I gave him a smile.
"You should make those again sometime. Most of my employees liked it." He smiled back.
"That'll be good."
We finished eating and drinking, and then the waitress came by. "Anyone want any desserts?" She asked, and we shook our head since we were full. "If you all are done, I'll bring the check."
"Okay, thanks," Mr. Havens said, nodding.
About a minute later, the waitress came back with the check, and then left again.
I started to get my money out, but Mr. Havens stopped me. "It's okay, I'll pay," he said, smiling.
I blinked in surprise. "Are you sure?" I asked.
"Yes, I'm sure." He nodded, and paid.
"Thank you." I smiled.
We tipped the waitress, and after she got the check, we walked outside.
We ended up talking for a little while more, and then Mr. Havens offered to drive me back home.
"Sure," I replied, nodding my head.
Mr. Havens opened the door for me, and I got in, and sat in the passenger seat. Then, he went around, and sat in the driver's seat.
I put in my address in the GPS, and then we drove off.
A few minutes later, we arrived at my apartment building.
"Thanks for dinner, Mr. Havens," I said to him with a grin as I got out of the car.
"You're welcome, Anastasia," Mr. Havens said, smiling back. He also got out of the car.
"Too bad the business meeting didn't happen though."
"It's alright. I had a good time having dinner with you. Besides, business meetings can always be rescheduled." He chuckled.
"Yeah, that's true." I laughed.
We stopped talking, and gazed into each other's eyes. It was similar to when he dropped me off after the charity.
He came closer to me, and so did I. Then, before I knew it, we leaned in, and kissed.
A few seconds later, we pulled away.
Did this just seriously happen?
Mr. Havens cleared his throat, and said, "Well, I should get going. It was great having dinner with you."
"Yeah, of course. It was great having dinner with you too," I said, smiling.
He smiled back, and went into his car as I walked to my apartment.
I still couldn't believe that Mr. Havens and I actually kissed, even if it was just for a few seconds.
What does this mean? Does he like me back?
I couldn't stop smiling when I went inside my apartment.

The Ruined Monks of Rothfield Monastery
Erin is the youngest member of the dark monks; a supernatural brotherhood whose ultimate mission is to improve the dire circumstances of poor, war-torn villages using powers unique to each member. Or so he was led to believe. Erin, like his brothers, does not age, and that is, unfortunately, the only trait he shares with them. He cannot charm or compel like Woodrow, he cannot cast illusions like Knox, he was not swift like Swithin, not powerful like Blake. He was barely an assistant to his dear brother Wilbur, with his herbology and alchemy. He was told to lie low and make himself scarce. That is what he did. The dark monks temporarily reside in abandoned monasteries scattered around the country, feeding the poor and healing the sick, nurturing the monastic lands until it was fertile enough to raise crops and rear animals. As the years passed, they would leave these reformed, repopulated, self-sustaining monasteries and venture froth to help the next settlement. Yet, after years of toiling and quiet servitude, Erin notices that people and the country itself are declining. The villagers look gaunt, the once-lush soil now barren and cracked. He begins to feel disheartened, thinking that their mission is proving futile. Still, their leader Blake is steadfast and charges onward, and lately has his eyes set on a certain monastery in a thick, thorned forest that seems to diminish, even nullify their powers. A thick forest that Erin somehow has a connection to. A thorned glade where an ethereal voice calls his name with one simple request along with a promise:Heal the land, child. Heal the land and I promise to give you sanctuary so long as you stay. I promise to nurture you as you nurture me. As Erin cultivates the land, the land, in turn, gifts all its caretakers with new, enhanced skillsets on top of their unique powers -- skills of protection, healing, and magic. Magic. Erin had long wished to see the world fill with it again. The people, regardless of common or noble blood, still believe that magic will enter this world again. Magic to bless the king like it did the Saints. Magic to dispel the miasma befouling the world. Magic to bring back the fae folk and their many forms. It is up to Erin to forge the many paths leading to a bright future; to build a prosperous paradise that welcomes all races and bloodlines, by mastering the rewards gained through agriculture, horticulture, and animal husbandry, smithing, crafting, and fishing. Erin may also find a lifelong friendship and romance with his neighbor, Claude, if he decides to pursue him, and may even join him in the military campaign outside the monastery. The darkness still lurks outside, after all, and the mastery of his skills, along with a few good friends, may finally be enough to turn the tide in their favor. Most of all, Erin wants to keep the vow he set for himself: to protect everyone and everything he loves until his dying breath.
