I quickly ate breakfast, and afterwards, I looked inside my bags, making sure I had everything with me. Since it was chilly outside lately, I made sure I would bring a spare winter outfit, just in case.

I grinned to myself, knowing it was finally the day that me, and the rest of my co-workers would be going to the mountains, to where Sanjay's family was staying.

I took my bags, and met up at work with the rest of my co-workers, since we've decided that some of us would ride together.

I looked around, and noticed Mr. Havens, who was talking to Dante, Sanjay, and a few others.

Mr. Havens glanced over at me, and gave me a slight smile. "Good morning, Anastasia," he greeted.

I smiled back. "Good morning, Mr. Havens," I greeted back.

He nodded, and then glanced around at everyone else. "Is everyone here?"

Dante and Sanjay quickly did a head count, and then they nodded. "Yes, sir," Sanjay replied.

"Good. Now we will figure out who's riding with who. Does everyone know who they are riding with?"

Mostly everyone nodded, except me and a couple of others.

"You three can ride with Harper." He said to the three co-workers next to me. He turned to me. "And you can ride with me and Mr. Jones."

I couldn't help but grin. "Okay!" I said enthusiastically. I was going to ride with Mr. Havens!

Mr. Havens gave me a nod, and then turned to everyone else again. "We can now get ready to leave."

I picked up my bags, and we went into the parking garage, where everyone's vehicles were.

I gasped when I saw Mr. Havens' car, which was a 2015 black Mercedes-Benz S-Class. Well of course he has that sort of car, he's a CEO after all. I really shouldn't be so surprised.

"I think Stacey likes your car, Mr. Havens," Dante said, and then snickered at me.

I gave him a look, and then laughed. "Whatever," I said, struggling to put my bags in the car.

Mr. Havens walked toward me, continuing to smile. "Here...I'll help and take these for you," he said, taking the bags and putting them in the car. He tilted his head to the side, giving me a confused look. "What are in those bags? I didn't expect it to be that heavy."

"Just...clothes, makeup, and stuff like that," I replied.

He chuckled. "Oh okay."

Dante turned to him. "Women right? Even after being married for almost twenty years, I still don't get why a lot of them take so much stuff with them whenever they go somewhere," he said, and we laughed.

"Well, Dante, if you must know, it's because we need to prepare just in case something comes up," I said.

"Like what?"

"Like...extra outfits and makeup." The both of them laughed, and I rolled my eyes. Guys would never understand us.

"You can sit in the front if you want to, Anastasia," Mr. Havens said to me.

"Oh okay," I said, getting in the passenger seat. I couldn't believe I was sitting next to Mr. Havens in his car!

Dante opened the car door, and sat on the back.

Mr. Havens started the car and drove off, following Sanjay.

We talked about different things for a while, and then we finally got to the mountains. There was some snow on the ground. "It's been a while since I been up here," I said, looking at the scenery in awe. It was nice seeing something other than buildings and the city.

"Yeah, me too," Mr. Havens said.

We pulled up at a house a few minutes later, and parked.

Sanjay got out of his car, and we waited until everyone else came. We went to the front door, and Sanjay rang the door bell.

A lady, who I assumed was Sanjay's mom, opened the door. She had a grin on her face, and greeted, "Hello everybody, I am Mrs. Kapoor. Come on in!"

We greeted and introduced ourselves to her, and then she motioned us to go to the kitchen. There were different types of foods, snacks, and desserts.

"If you all want, you can eat. I have some traditional Indian dishes, but I also have some regular American food," Mrs. Kapoor said, smiling.

"Thank you, Mrs. Kapoor. These meals look very delicious," Mr. Havens said to her, and smiled.

"You're welcome, Mr. Havens. You all deserve it since this year was very successful at Havens Enterprise."

We formed a line to get food, and then we sat down.

I sat between Mr. Havens and Dante. I took a few bites of the different foods on my plate. The food was great!

"We have a ski resort, although, there is not much snow yet, so I don't think you can do much skiing," Mrs. Kapoor said. "But, you all can go walking in the woods close by, if you want. Or you can stay indoors too."

"That sounds nice," Mr. Havens said, nodding his head.

"I'm glad to see everyone enjoying the food," I heard a man's voice say. I turned around and saw him. "I am Sanjay's father." He smiled and introduced himself to us.

"Nice to meet you, Mr. Kapoor," Mr. Havens said, standing up and shaking his hand. "I am Vincent Havens."

The two of them got in a conversation, and I decided to turn to Dante. "So how do you like being in the mountains so far?" I asked him.

"It's great. Everyone needs to get away from the city sometimes," Dante replied.

"Yeah, I agree." I glanced at Mr. Havens, who was still conversing with Sanjay's parents.

I absolutely loved the city, but sometimes a change in scenery was good.

After we were done eating, we decided to get some fresh air outside. It was a bit colder than the city, but it was nice.

Mr. Havens came up to me. "Anastasia, we were going to go walk around a bit. Would you like to come with us?" He said to me, pointing at Dante, Sanjay, and himself.

I grinned at him. "Sure, I'd love to!" I blurted out, and then felt embarrassed at how weird I probably sounded like.

"Good." He chuckled softly, and then we walked over to the woods by the house.

While we went in the woods, I started shivering from feeling cold. I was wearing a long sleeved shirt, pants, and a coat, but the coat wasn't that heavy.

Mr. Havens gave me a concerned look. "Here, you can wear this," he said, taking off his coat, and handing it to me.

"Oh no, you don't have to, I'm fine really," I said, smiling.

"I insist." He put his coat around me, and then gave me a slightly stern look.

"Oh...uh okay. Thanks, Mr. Havens." I put on the coat, smiling as I smelled his cologne scent on it.

"You're welcome." He gave me a smile.

"Hey guys!" I heard Harper's voice exclaim behind us. "Wait for me, I want to go walking in the woods too." She quickly caught up with us.

"Hey, Harper," I said to her, smiling.

"Hey, Stace." She grinned, and then glanced at us. "I don't know about you all, but I absolutely love the mountains. I wish I lived here. The view is great, a lot better than my current view in the city, which is just an apartment building."

"I love it too. The view, and the fresh air is amazing." I grinned. "I actually lived in the mountains for a brief period of time when I was really young, but I basically spent my whole life in the city."

Mr. Havens turned to me, raising an eyebrow. "You lived in the mountains when you were younger?"

"Yeah when I was four, but it was only for a year, if that."

"Still, that must have been nice. I was raised in the city."

My parents, and my older sister named Elizabeth loved living in the mountains, even if it was for short time. We were basically raised in the city since my dad's an accountant, and my mom's a fashion designer. They currently live a few cities away. We visited each other occasionally. I get along with them mostly, even though I could be irresponsible sometimes. Elizabeth is currently a journalist that lives around Manhattan. We also got along well, even if we were a little different from each other. She was more organized and responsible.

We noticed a few snowflakes that were gently falling. "Now this is nice!" Dante said, grinning. "In some ways I like snow, because I love playing in the snow with my kids, but it's a pain shoveling it."

"I agree with you there," Mr. Havens said, chuckling.

We continued walking around for a while.

"Anyone getting cold? I think I want to head back inside," Dante said.

Mr. Havens glanced at me, and then said, "We should probably go back inside."

We headed back to Mr. and Mrs. Kapoor's house.

I glanced around and noticed that mostly everybody was inside, getting warm by the fireplace in the living room.

We ate some snacks, and drank some champagne and water. We talked and watched a movie for the next few hours, and then people started leaving one by one.

Mr. Havens turned to Dante and I. "Well if you two are ready, we can also leave," he said.

"I guess. I have to get to my family," Dante said, glancing at the time. It was almost seven.

"That's fine with me," I said.

"Oh okay," Mr. Havens said. He turned to Sanjay's parents. "Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Kapoor for having all of us over today. It was very nice, and we all needed that."

"You're welcome Mr. Havens," Mrs. Kapoor said, giving him a hug. "I hope you keep having more successful years to your business."

He smiled. "Thanks, and I hope so too."

"You're a very great businessman, Mr. Havens. It was nice meeting you," Mr. Kapoor said.

Dante and I said goodbye to Sanjay's parents, and waved while we were walking out the door.

The three of us went in Mr. Havens' car, and drove back to the city.

Dante was dropped off first. "Thank you Mr. Havens for taking us over to Sanjay's parents' place, and I'll see you all Monday," he said.

Mr. Havens nodded, and Dante went inside of his house.

Mr. Havens and I talked for the next few minutes on the way to my apartment. "Today was great, you definitely deserved it. Sanjay's parents are so nice, and I think everyone had a good time," I said, grinning.

He smiled. "Thank you, Anastasia. I think everyone deserved to have a nice time since we had the most successful year. We were all talking and relaxing instead of working together. And I also think Sanjay's parents were welcoming and hospitable," he said.

We finally got to my apartment, and he parked the car. "Thank you so much for taking me there," I said.

He smiled again. "No problem," he said.

I took my bags out. "Oh I almost forgot." I put my bags down, and took off Mr. Havens' coat.

"You can keep it for now, and just give it back to me later."

"Oh okay, well I'll see you on Monday!" I waved, grinning at him.

"See you Monday." He smiled back.

I picked up my bags, and went inside of my apartment. I noticed he was still parked in the car, making sure I got in. He drove off as soon as I went inside.

I smiled to myself as I recalled the day. Mr. Havens was a lot more relaxed, and less stiff. He deserved more great days like today.
