Since mom is expecting us, right as we walk in she comes downstairs. She looks well, already holding her hands out for her grandsons.

"Hi Eureka, son. It's good to see you."

"Hey mom. Where's everyone it's so quiet?"

It is the home doesn't have the usual laughter of Kyle or his rambunctious sisters who are now walking, getting into a lot of mischief.

"Hello Lada." Eureka greets.

Eureka sets the car seat she's holding to the floor and begins taking out Kai. Kai smiles up as his ethereal mother with mismatched eyes. One, the left being blue and the right, a firey brown rich amber.

I do the same. Undoing the straps that hold Kiren in his seat. They've already grown so much in the span of almost two months.

"Hey bud. Are you ready to see бабушка?" (Grandma)

"Katina and Michail took the children out for some family time." Mom explains. She peers down as I pick him up, the need to hold him already apparent in the way she edges closer.

As if he knows what I'm saying Kiren gets all excited once I hold him, his round face in view of mine. His blue eyes sparkle with wonder upon seeing my face. Kai's blue and his eyes are the same shade as mom's. Which she loves as none of her children inherited this trait. I give him to his doting grandma.

"Look who it is." I say to Kiren rubbing his coils. "Its бабушка."

I've made it my mission to speak English and Russian to them as much as possible. I want them to learn both languages. Which is highly possible since babies are little sponges. They soak up any information presented in these early years.

"Kiren, Nanna's missed you." Mom says bubbly at him. Eureka comes over with Kai. "You too Kai, Nanna missed you."

Eureka holds him so he can see his Grandma. We laugh with each other heading into the living room. I bring the forgotten baby bag.

"Lada was it the same for you?"

Eureka and mom are beside each other conversing. I left them to talk, going to the kitchen to warm up bottles for the boys. Detka not only breast feeds but pumps as well so they can have breastmilk whenever she needs a break from breastfeeding.

I hear there voices from where I stand in the kitchen. It was a good idea to get her to talk to mom about this. Hopefully mom can help her feel more reassured in her role.

"Not at first but the second time around Yes." Mom answers. "When we had Katina, everything was breeze with her. I know what she needed. If she cried for food I knew, if she needed to be held, I knew. But it was a different story with Kasia and Kira."

"Really?" Detka's voice sounded desperate for answers that only another mother can provide. The good thing is if she doesn't get them from mom, I'm sure talking to Katina might help.

"Yes, with them it wasn't so smooth. For the first few months after they were born I struggled for some reason. If not for Viktor's constant reminder of how great I'm doing and his patience, I felt like I would have lost my mind.

Kira and Kasia weren't so easy for me to understand. It took more time, trial and error for me to figure them out. Maybe because there was two instead of one baby. But eventually I did over time. I think the main thing I had to recognize was each baby has their own needs and personality. There isn't a one set guide for them that works. Does that make sense?"

I test the two bottles against the back of my hand to make sure the temperature is suited for them. Deciding they're just right I head back.

"I never thought about it like that. That makes sense. I guess I assumed since I carried them inside me I'd automatically connect with them. I'd know what to do no questions asked."

I hand mom a bottle. She starts feeding Kai with the ease of a woman whose experienced child raring. The other is given to Detka. She follows mom's lead feeding Kiren. Meanwhile I observe their interaction. With their body language they communicate on a motherly plane I will never understand. I sit across from them. Giving them their space.

"You know even though Katina was easy I had the same assumption too. It's okay Eureka, all new moms have this bias about their baby. This could certainly be true for some mothers but I'm sure it's not always the case. Not every mother gets an immediate bond with their baby from day one."

"Thank you Lada. Hearing this makes me feel less of a failure, more normal. Which is even weird to admit, but I have hope I can learn like you did."

Mom reach over and tap Eureka's shoulder in understanding.

"Of course your welcome. Just you wait it won't be hard forever. Soon you won't even remember when you felt like this. You'll look at Kiren and Kai and know exactly what's going on with them with just one look. Mother's intuition is something I believe all mothers develop over time."

Eureka smiles and nods.

She and mom bond together, while I take the back seat. My body becomes lighter knowing my mom has a close relationship with my Eureka. That they can talk like this and share insight with one another, as if she were her own daughter. It makes me feel overjoyed and complete inside.

There's a second where they're both finished feeding the boys and hold them in a similar way while staring at each other in solidarity. I can't help myself to snap a picture which doesn't half capture the beautiful moment's essence. But still it's a memorable and treasured picture. I stare at it on my screen. Staring off into space.

"Kira. You okay?"

Eureka's sweet voice calls out. I look up from my screen after switching it to my lock screen. I'm sure she'll end up seeing it later but for now I want to be selfish and keep this moment to myself.

"I'm good baby. I was just thinking."

"About?"

"That I can't wait to marry you."

Eureka becomes taken aback. She must have expecting another response. She looks like she's blushing underneath her rich dark skin. It shines like priceless gold and is deep rooted within our children's skin. I hope for us to make more beautiful children together real soon.

When she's ready that is.

Maybe in another year or two if I'm lucky.

"Oh that's right. Thanks for reminding me Kira. When are you guys getting the marriage license registered? I want to attend even if it's not the ceremony."

I know she does. She's been so excited to learn the tentative date we have in mind for the wedding. I think mom is more excited than I, and I'm the one getting married. Even though she's traditional, she's looked past the fact we had children before getting married.

"In a few days." I answer. "The ceremony is next spring, March maybe April."

Mom would never admit it but, I know it's because she doesn't want to hurt Eureka's feelings. I know she wished we'd have waited to have children until after we got married. Which I'm thankful for because it says alot to mom's respect and trust in mine and Eureka's relationship.

Even though I'm a 28 year old man I still value my parents opinion, especially my mothers, but not enough that I'll live totally the way they want me to. Just enough to please them sometimes.

"Oh that's not long. I can't wait."

"It was good good to see them. Kyle has grown hasn't he?"

Detka voices. We just finished giving Kiren and Kai a bath and putting them down for the night. They were both fast a sleep by the time we arrived home.

"He is. He gets taller evey time I see him."

I whisper as I close the nursey door. The baby monitor is on so if needed we'll hear them. Eureka wipes her hand across her forehead. Looking tired but happy.

"You tired baby?"

She bites her lips. "Mmmh but I feel good though. That talk with Lada really cheered up my spirits."

"That's good."

"I'm happy we ate dinner at there's, so we can shower then get into bed."

"Yeah. Why don't we watch some anime tonight?"

"I still can't believe I've made you into an anime fan. Which one were you thinking?"

I knew already the one I want us to watch together. Eureka watched it before. She's caught up to season 4 so hopefully she'll be okay with watching it again with me.

"My hero Academia. I'm thinking baby, when the boys get older we definitely need to watch anime with them."

Eureka stops walking in her track. She suddenly turns and wraps her arms around me pressing her head against my chest. She squeezes me as hard as she can. Which isn't much since I'm bigger than her arm can reach all the way around. I hold her too leaning down smelling that familer coco butter cinnamon scent uniquely hers.

"Of course. There's no way my kids aren't going to love anime. I'm happy your into it so we have something we both like."

I lean in closer so my nose brush over soft curls. They are shiny, moisturized and healthy. I love her natural hair. It's one of the things I imagine when picturing her.

"So shower then a few episodes." I ask.

"Yes sounds like a perfect way to end the night."

Regrettably I cut our hug short so we can continue to our bathroom. Eureka takes my hand. Without turning she asks.

"I was thinking about joining you tomorrow morning for a workout. Can I?

"Of course sweetheart. You know you don't have go rush to work out though."

"I know but I want to. I'm ready to get rid of my puge. We'll start off real light okay."

I kiss her hand in mine. "Of course. Whatever you want."

>>>>

Let's just say My Hero Academia is my new favorite anime.

I'm pretty sure if Kiren and Kai were older they'd love it too. The best part is there's is over five seasons out so I have plenty of episodes to watch. We barely made a dent in season one. We got tired around episode five.

It's the following morning. Eureka snores beside me. She's turned away so I'm the big spoon. She sleeps so soundly I almost want to forgo waking her and workout by myself so she can rest. She's been taking motherhood by storm but she tired. Rightly so, anyone would be with two newborns.

I know she wouldn't change this however. We were meant to have two children. We wholeheartedly believe that. I want to sleep longer myself but she'll be upset if we don't workout since she asked me.

So like any man who wants their woman happy I kiss her face awake.

"Hmm. What happen?"

She wakes abruptly. Voice rasp with sleep. I love her morning voice. It gets more rough and deep.

"Nothing happened. I'm waking you so we can exercise. Remember you asked me last night baby."

"Uh oh. Hmm. Right. Give me 20 minutes please."

"Okay. Go back to sleep Detka."

She rolls over face pressed into my bare chest and goes back to sleep. Instead of getting comfortable and falling under myself. I head to check on the boys finding both of them awake. I somehow grab both of them and head downstairs to the kitchen. I place them into their matching high chairs.

"Morning guys. Daddies doing to prepare breakfast."

They smile at this. While watching me intently. I rinse two pacifiers for them to chew on.

"Momma is asleep, so it's just us."

They each stare as I go about preparing their bottles and making smoothies for Detka and I. In about 10 more minutes I'll head upstairs to wake her.

After we work out while the boys drink their bottles. Making sure their chairs face us so they can see us. It sounds like the perfect Wednesday morning to me.
