Ali's POV.

Ali's POV...
I woke up for Fajr prayer. Seriously, I was forced to do it. But, for the past two days, I feel so amazing whenever I pray. I feel so peaceful and pure. Literally!
I wanted to work on my religion. I want to be a good Muslim because I know, even Muslims will go to hell. People who sin will go to hell whether he be Muslim or not. And besides, who knows? Anisa might be really happy. Of course I am not doing this purely for her, but what's wrong in it if I get a little out of it?
The decision I had made last night, was true and I was NOT going to back off. But, luck was on my side this time. Anisa knows that she is married and I doubt that she'll get in a relationship with another guy. She's not that stupid. And I know her. She doesn't get crushes easily like most girls.
But, still. I had to work hard to win her.
If I ever want to be happy, that is.
After praying, I decided to get a snack from downstairs. I still had two hours until school. Walking down, I realized that I hadn't seen Anisa in the room. Where would she go? I saw that she was eating some chips while sitting on the kitchen floor.
What? Is she that stupid? Who sits on the floor and eats? I walked up to her and she noticed my presence. Looking up, she gave me a goofy grin. Wow, that looked good on her. "What in the world are you doing?" I asked her.
She pointed at her leg. "Did I ever tell you that I had a huge issue of sleep walking?" She questioned. I shook my head. "No, and besides I have never seen you sleep walking." I told her. "Well, you're such a heavy sleeper you know." She said. I shrugged.
"I was sleep walking and I accidentally hit the refrigerator and fell down. My ankle is injured badly. I can't stand up." She explained. I raised an eyebrow at her before laughing. "It's no joke! It's a serious matter! If you were in my shoes, you'd be crying like a baby!" She snapped.
I stopped laughing. Maybe it was serious. "How much is your weight?" I asked her. She frowned in confusion."What has that got to do with anything at all?" She questioned. I sighed. "I don't want to carry a gorilla upstairs." I said.
Her eyes widened in realization. "Are you sure?" She asked. I nodded. "I guess, yeah."
She looked at her packet of chips and then back at me. She handed the packet out to me. "Here! Thanks." She said, shyly. I had never seen this side of her. She wasn't a tomboy as I thought. She had this girly side to her as well and it made her look beautiful.

I took the packet from her hands and laughed. "It's okay. If I want to do a good deed, I'll do it without taking anything in return." I told her. She smiled at me. My world stopped for a moment. That was the first time in my life. She was smiling at me. The smile was genuine and not sarcastic like most of the time.
"Well, would you please help me then?" She asked. I nodded and bend down to pick her up. She wasn't heavy at all. "48" she said. I frowned. "What?" She looked at the ground. "My weight is 48"
I acted as if I was horrified by the number. She then glared at me before I could say anything. "Don't you dare say anything!" She said. I nodded, since I couldn't put my hands up in the air to surrender. She would really fall if I did that. I walked to the stairs. She wrapped her arms around me in fright as she saw the stairs.
"Please, please tell me you can easily carry me!" She cried. "I'm not that weak, Anisa." I told her. She took a deep breath as I took the first step. Reaching the top of the staircase, I stopped to take rest for a few seconds. I was tired now. Quickly as I could, I took her to my room and put her down on the bed.
"Whoa! I can't believe you actually did it." Anisa stated. I looked at her. "It wasn't that hard. I told you; I'm not that weak." I reminded her. She nodded her head. "Yeah, yeah. But no one in my life has ever picked me up like that. You can't blame me for being scared. " She defended.
"I am feeling sleepy. Let's go to sleep." She suggested and i agreed...
I would be lying if I said I was feeling energized. I was a bit sleepy. I had taken Usman and Anisa both to school and was gonna take them back home. Maybe I'll get Usman to drive us back.
Giving a high five to Andrew, both of us walked to class. "So, dude. Heard the news?" He asked me. I frowned at him. "Which news?" I asked. He rolled his eyes. "You're literally living in the past, bro." He commented.
"So, there's this rumor going on about Anisa. I heard that she's in a relationship. But god knows with whom." He said. I wasn'tthat surprised. I mean, how long would we be able to hide the fact that we're married? It's really not that possible. I am sure, in a week or two, the whole school will know.
"Talk about the devil and the devil's here." Andrew said. I looked at the way he was looking at. I saw Anisa talking to a girl. It was obvious by her expression that she was angry and annoyed. God, these rumors!

"Wanna have some fun? It's been a while." Andrew asked, smirking. I instantly shook my head. If I were ever trying to get Anisa like me back, I was gonna meet all her expectations. "Nah. I am getting bored of it now." I said. He gave me a Stern look.
"Come one bro! It's been so long. You're changing." He told me. I shrugged. I had nothing to say to him. He was right. I was changing and I liked it. I didn't want to be the Ali who always used to party. I didn't want to be the Ali who would flirt with any girl he came across. I didn't want to be the Ali who didn't give a damn about his religion. I wanted to change.
"Let's just go to class." I said and Andrew just hesitantly agreed. Both of us walked to class.
"Are you prepared for the quiz?" The teacher asked us. I had totally forgotten about the quiz. But, Really. Who cares? It's just a stupid quiz_ "these marks will add up on your finalexams" the teacher announced. Ugh! She just proved me wrong. I looked around the whole and saw that Anisa was late.
That was so unlike her. She never missed this class. I knew for a fact, Biology was her favourite subject. As if on cue, she entered. Her face red with anger (which, by the way, made me control my laughter) and she stomped towards my seat, ignoring the looks she received on her way.
"I am sitting here!" She whispered loud enough for only !Even to hear and sat down. "Malik, this is the last and first time you are late in my class!" The teacher shouted at her, shaking her head in disappointment. I nodded at Anisa, happy that I had a source of cheating now.
"Fine, but show me the answers!" I whispered back to her as the teacher roamed around the class, handing out papers to each one of us. She just nodded.
I leaned back on my chair. "Man, that was easy." I stated.
Looks like I really didn't need to cheat. It was easy. "Enough games! We need to talk." Anisa told me firmly. Her voice startled me, making my chair's leg slip and me falling down.
She stared at me before laughing. Soon the whole class was laughing at me. Looking at the way everyone was laughing, I couldn't help but laugh myself. Call me stupid or whatever. I still find it funny.
But surprisingly, Anisa held out her hand to help me up. At this point, the whole class were focused on her. Whoa. She did that in front of everyone. I gave her my hand and she pulled me up, staggering a bit when she carried my weight. I wasn't totally dependent on her.
"Oh well, what was it then?" I asked her. She looked here and there and noticed that the teacher for the next period had already come. "I need to talk to you urgently. Let's just ditch this one. Besides, I hate Chemistry." She told me. I raised my eyebrow at her. "Bunking class, are we? Well I am totally okay with that." I Said.
"Ma'am, can I go to the washroom?" I asked, already making a plan to get both me and Anisa outta class. The teacher nodded while Anisa just mouthed, "What're you doing?" I assured her by giving her an assuring nod.
"Yeah, but hurry." The teacher told me. I walked outside the classroom and waited outside for a few minutes. I opened the door of the classroom again and walked to the teacher. "Ma'am, Mr. Brown is calling Anisa. He said that it's really important." I lied.
Everyone in the school, even the teachers, knew not to mess with Mr. Brown. He's that kinda guy. The teacher nodded. "Anisa, go. But be back as soon as possible!" She ordered. Anisa looked at me, shocked. I smirked at her.
She followed me outside to the the cafeteria, which was empty at this time. "So, tell me. What's the matter?" I asked her again. She just sighed. "I just need to clear a few things up." She spoke. I hummed in response, stocking my hands in my pockets.
"So, I was thinking about what you said about not caring What people say. I guess you're right. But, when everyone does find out, I will force you to save me from the bullies!" She commanded.
I gave her a smug smile. "There IS some common sense in that head of yours after all." I said, poking her head. She yanked my hand away. "Yeah, I do." She told me. I nodded. "Fine. Because, we both are together in this relationship thing and all. I don't think it's fair that one of us has to suffer." I shrugged.
She nodded her head in Amazement. "I finally realized this isn't made of stone." She poked my chest. I laughed. "Copycat." I commented. She shook her head. "I just gave you the taste of your own medicine." She said, smiling smugly.
And I intend to keep it that way. I want her to smile everyday. I want to be the reason for that as well. I want her to be proud of me. But despite all this dedication, I still sometimes wonder
How was it that this bully fell for his target?

The Huntsman's Quest (An Urban Magic Quest/RPG)
Jon Whitaker went to summer camp expecting a nice relaxing time as a newly minted counselor in training. He was not expecting to fight an army of monsters, work with a serial killer, enter a one-sided friendship with an eldritch horror, or study under a competing witch and dark lord. But regardless of what he was expecting, his summer is over and he's made his way back home where he can try and return to a normal -for him- life. Too bad life rarely goes as expected. --- Please Note: This is forum quest/RPG I run in the same city/setting as my other stories Hacking Reality and Get Ink'd, meaning that while a majority of the plot is made up by me, the major choices as well as what each chapter is about are usually made by the actual readers in forum votes. Additionally, given how this is essentially a story version of a Tabletop game there is also a background RPG system that while the characters aren't necessarily aware of, the readers can see these stats to know how each chosen 'Action' effects their character's development.
