(Khayaal-e-yaar main mujh ko yunhi madhosh rehne do,

Na poocho raat ka qissa mujhe khamosh rehne do,

Sunaya vasl ka qissa to mere dost yoon bole,

Kahan tum kahan us ki haseen aghosh rehne do,

Mujhe maloom hai us ne mera hona nahin lekin,

Meri umeed mat torro mujhe pur-josh rehne do,

Mohabbat jurm hai mera mujhe iqraar hai iska,

Wafaa ilzaam hai to phir mere sar dosh rehne do,

Kitaab-e-ishq se hum pr yehi raaz khula hai,

Paaye jo jaam ulfat ka ussey meh-nosh rehne do...)

.....................❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️..................

Lightning spiked through the darkened sky and was followed by a clap of thunder.

The clouds looked menacing in their glory, threatening to empty themselves at the slightest invitation.

The swishing sound of the wind as it swept past the open windows a few moments ago, whispering secrets to the vicinage.

The rhythmic pat-pat of the falling water as it hit the concrete road was soporific.

There she sat on the living room couch looking at the huge window of Khan villa with the popcorn bowl and various snacks bags.

The Disney animated movie plays in the background but she was too busy to watch it as she stuffs her face with the sweet and salty goodness, her favorite caramel popcorn while muttering curses at her husband.

"Enough is enough!!! Biwi ki koi Izaat hi nahi hai... Just work, work and work... Haye!!! Allah miyan... What did I ask from you? Nothing unacceptable... I just wanted a man who can pamper me and listen to my ranting about how much I love eating, sleeping, working, talking, and repeating... But no... Nada!!! You have to give me a workaholic businessman... Haye meri Kismat!!! He was so charming and Amazing before our wedding... I mean he was rude as hell but hey!!! Thera hai par Mera hai...,"

She sighed as she looked at the hallway door while pouting and frowning at the same time.

It's been 8 months since their nikkah and 4 months since the twins Hamad and Mehwish's birth.

Daima got so much attached to Hamdani House and its people that when Adam told her about their going back to Canada she cried more than she cried on her rukhsati.

She was at least relieved that her beloved mother-in-law will be there for her when her workaholic husband won't but her last hope dismissed when Hadiya beghum announced her retirement from the CEO position.

Hadiya beghum also announced that she will not go back to Canada with the couple because she wanted to spend her old and wrinkly days with her family and the newest addition.

That's how Daima found herself in a dilemma because she can't find it in her heart to leave the family that gives her immense love but she also can't let her husband go alone.

So Daima wears her big girl pants and gets agreed, she regrets it now and then because of times like these but she can't leave her hubby alone.

Hadiya beghum was so happy because she wanted to give this precious and relation-building time to the couple. She wanted to help them grow and develop that's why she didn't come back.

Daima also started working in the office but this time as an official not as a trainee. She loved each moment spend with Adam but lately, he was so much busy that she felt lonely.

Loneliness is not a good feeling, it pierces a person's soul so deep that they can't understand what to do.

The feeling of nostalgia, the happy moments she spends in Hamdani House with her Mannat api, Murad Bhai, Jannat api, Umer Bhai, her Mama, bade Mamu, Badi Mami, Mirza uncle, and especially the kids.

Just like his mother, Hamad Murad Hamdani was also successful in winning his dear Daima aunty heart without trying anything. She smiled sadly as she looked at the glass window but her mind was miles away.

Those moments were so much precious that she can't help the flashbacks, the smiles, the laughter, and the noises, that she missed dearly.

As the rain increased in its intensity, the sizzling symphony of billions of drops felt like the rain was cackling with joy as it greeted its old friend, the earth.

But after a few minutes, the rain slows down and stops completely as she keeps looking at the glass window. As quickly as it had started, it was all over. The pungent, sweet scent of petrichor hit her nostrils, making her feel frustrated more and more.

"I am just missing everyone back home... Yeah!! It has nothing to do with my workaholic husband leaving me alone to work...,"

Adam tried his best to make her happy, he was always with her when he had time, he takes her for lunch, dinner dates, their relationship was moving and developing at a smooth and blissful pace.

But when he started to work he forgets everything and that's what his wife hate because Daima was feeling so low and the weather was not helping her already disturbed mind.

She went to his house office to call him for their movie night as they planned it no work on weekend as it was their time, but when an important shipment got delayed Adam had to cancel the movie night.

He apologized and kissed her forehead but she still didn't feel good about it. It's their time and he let his work affect it.

"who am I kidding... Of course, it has everything to do with that brute... He promised me last time that no work talk on our bonding time... I will not leave him... I will burn his breakfast... But he will still eat it like he does last week...,"

She frowned, huffing and pouting because she knows her goofy husband will probably eat and do everything if it means she will forgive him but this time she will not be persuaded easily.

She looks away from the window and at the screen where the characters are moving but she didn't find it interesting one bit. She was again going to look away when she saw a figure coming towards the living room.

She fondly looks at the screen trying to act discreetly but steal a few glances when she saw the person looking at her with hands-on their waist.

"What is this beghum?"

Daima just shrugged her shoulders and didn't even look at him who was shaking his head at his nonchalant wife who was acting all serious but failing miserably.

"Daima...,"

Again nothing, he sighed as he moved toward the couch to look at her who was looking at the couch with a blank look. He knew he broke their no work on weekends rule but it was important.

He was ready for each punishment and penalty his wife throw at him but he can't bear her silence, because his chatterbox looks more beautiful doing her normal work, talking.

"Daima... Beghum Jaan,"

"Yes...,"

Daima tried her best to make her expressions and just look ahead as she replied. Adam stood beside her and wave the object in his hand in front of her.

"Will you please tell me... Why my phone is super glued to my brand new shoes?"

Adam put the brand new shoe, delivered to him today, and show his wife his phone attached at the bottom of the sole.

He was working on some emails and busy in video calling that he didn't notice that his phone was missing. He called on it with the landline and frowned when he can't find it in the house study.

He followed the ringing to his room that was just two rooms away and that's how he found his phone superglued to his new shoes.

Daima was nervous inside but took another deep breath and shrugged again when she remembered why she was angry and composed herself.

Adam shook his head as a small smile grace his face. He can't get angry at her, because it's not in his hand anymore.

She was not the chatterbox his mother assigned him to train anymore, she was now his wife, his Equal, and his Queen who had every right to be angry but this is something just Daima Adam Khan will do.

Before he can say another word the shoe in his hand started vibrating, and his phone screen lit up making Daima move her eyes from the screen to glare at the device.

Adam shook his head and tried to release the phone from the shoe sole but after trying for a good minute, he sighed and picked the call and put it to his ear.

Daima bites her lip, trying hard to control her laughter at the scene In front of her.

Her dead drop gorgeous and handsome husband stood in front of her in his casual clothes, his now-grown beard and slightly grown hair looking so dashing but comedic with the shoe pressed to his ear as he talks.

She frowned when she saw him smiling widely at the phone and presumed it's his assistant but her husband was quick. He quickly removes the phone slash shoe from his ear and puts it on a loudspeaker.

"How are you, Mama? How is everyone else at home?"

Daima felt like facepalming when she heard her mother-in-law's voice, she was so busy observing her husband's handsomeness that she didn't listen to his greetings.

"I am good Alhamdulillah... And everyone is also fine... You say... How are you and my daughter?"

Daima quickly came back to her senses, and a heart-melting smile adorns her face that made his breath hitch and his heart skip multiple beats.

He cleared his throat and shook his heart to remove the inappropriate thought about hugging and ravishing his wife and concentrate on his mother.

"We are good Alhamdulillah Mama... Just busy with work...,"

"How many times I tell you, Adam? NO WORK ON WEEKENDS!!!,"

Hadiya beghum didn't let him complete as he closed his eyes and curse himself for the slip. His wife looks quite smug at her mother-in-law's words and he just shook his head.

"I am sorry Mama... don't be angry, please... Your daughter is already angry with me but I swear it's an emergency... You know I won't sacrifice our time if it's not important... Nothing is more worthy than your chatterbox...,"

Hadiya beghum smiled a content smile on the other side as she felt peace in her heart.

She was very tense about Adam and his vulnerable heart but after selecting Daima for her son, she knew he was in safe hands now, because sometimes love is not everything.

Understanding and valuing the other is also important, love can happen after you build trust and faith in yourself and your partner and that's the stage of Adam and Daima's relationship.

Adam gives a naughty smirk to his wife who was blushing bed like a newly wedded bride with a pounding heart but soon frowns when she saw his smug face.

"She has every right to be angry...,"

Adam rolled his eyes at his wife's cheeky smile and pinched her waist making her gasp in shock. He winked at her while she glared at him.

"Don't worry Mama... Your daughter is doing her duty of angry wife very carefully... she was becoming expert at this, I tell you,"

"Then don't give her chances to do it, you doofus... I swear I feed you enough almond to grow your brain but alas I waste my almonds and time...,"

"You are totally right Mama... He is doofus...,"

"Daima Mera Bacha... How are you? Is he treating you well? I will beat him with my pin roll if he didn't so tell me?"

And just like that the shoe was snatched from his hand as his chatterbox wife talk and talk and talk with his mother like she was the poor daughter who was talking with her mother after years and he was the cruel son-in-law who didn't let them talk.

The mother-in-law and daughter-in-law duo keep gossiping and talking about him as he just stands and looks at the beauty.

If someone told him two years ago that he will marry this woman, he would have laughed at them or beat them to the pulp, but now when she was sitting in his house, complaining to his mother about him being a workaholic all the time and keep rambling he can't help but thank his LORD for this blessing.

"And you know what Mama... I tried the chicken curry recipe but I somehow burnt the chicken... but Adam said it taste like a roast with the coal effect... He didn't let me eat a single morsel... he was so happy that he cried that day after eating the dish... Saying that it's delicious but I am still confused about why he cried...,"

Adam shook his head as he remembered last week's event when his cute wife who didn't know how to boil rice made his favorite chicken curry for him.

She ordered him to come home soon that day, She got dressed and dolled up in his favorite dress looking so regal that he found it hard to control his wandering hands and thoughts.

He can see the efforts that she put in that day so that's why he eats the burnt chicken with loads of salt and pepper without uttering a single word.

He didn't let her eat anything because he didn't want to break her heart, he cried and eat because he can't eat spicy food.

He was very sensitive about it, but that day he eats the saltiest and spicy chicken curry because his cute wife made it for him.

It was the worst food he ever eats in his life, worst from the biryani Manna tried for the first time that had uncooked chicken, but that's Adam Khan for you because he still eats everything, even if it's not considered edible to make his loved ones happy and this is about his wife happy so he sacrifices this taste buds and stomach for her.

Daima keeps asking why he was crying but he just plastered a watery smile and give her the best excuse he can.

"you made something for the first time that too for me... I am just happy to have a life partner like you... So that's why only I will eat this yummy dish...,"

Adam remembered how much he suffers afterward but the smile on his wife's words on his praises was out of this world.

She made the dish, almost burned the house down, cut her two fingers that he find out later that night.

It boiled his blood and he banned her from ever entering the kitchen because he can survive on housemaid food but her being in pain is not anything he wants.

He was just glad he banned her from the kitchen otherwise he doesn't know how to tell her that she can't cook to save their lives.

He came out of his trance when he saw his chatterbox still busy with his mother as she keeps rambling making him smile but then he heard loud shouting from the phone and frown.

"What are those noises, Mama?"

Daima too stops her talking to listen and both of them frown when they heard Hadiya beghum sighing and them chuckling.

"Nothing new... It's your siblings running around the house like they are not parents of three babies now,"

Adam chuckled while Daima giggles at the words, she missed them so much, and listening to the background shouting and screaming made her sad. But she looked curiously at the phone screen as Adam asked the important question.

"What happened now?"

Hadiya beghum didn't answer because a few moments later the phone screen again lit up with a video call request from his mother.

His wife accepted it even before he can do it and they saw the commotion occurring in the lounge of Hamdani House.

They saw as Umer was running around the couches to dodge his elder brother who was chasing him like a raging bull while their wives and kids cheer for Murad sitting on the couch.

"Bhai didn't leave him today... He should learn his lesson to not use his wife new design sketch to make his ninja son planes and ships...,"

Jannat chided and Adam asked his mother to elaborate the whole matter to them.
