A broken heart heals when we allow the healing to go as deep as the wound went.

After half an hour Ahtisham got the file from his private investigator that contains all information regarding Sila, where she lived, about her family, her education, her friends, and also about the accident and death of her family members. He knew that she was telling truth by the sincerity and pain in her eyes but he has to confirm it for the safety of his children especially after what he has in mind for her.

He looked at the clock, that shows how much time he spent reading the file and thinking about what to do next, he sighed and got up to check upon Mirha and Sila. He fixed his coat lapels and picked up the file, taking confident strides toward his office. He has many things running in his mind and he hopes that the next talk with a certain woman will put his mind to some peace.

He knocked at the door just to alert her about his presence, he didn't want to see her in any discomfort. He opened the door and saw something which left him breathless and in some kind of trance. On the couch where he left them sat Sila with a sleeping Mirha in her lap caressing her cheeks and forehead admiring her innocent features with such adoration in her eyes that he was dumbstruck at his place. He was still looking at the woman who was lost in his daughter; Sila felt someone's intense gaze at her and looked toward the door to see Ahtisham standing there.

She got nervous and stood up to place Mirha in her banister, she didn't want him to think of her as a creep who was gazing at the sleeping angel. Her movement broke his trance and he averts his eyes from the fascinating scene to go toward his chair. He pointed toward the chair across his desk for Sila to take a seat. She hesitated but goes to sit, playing with her dupatta to ignore his intense hawk-like gaze. He took a breath before speaking and his next word took her breath away.

"I have a background check on you, Miss Hashim. I hope you don't mind it but it's for the safety of my baby girl," he spoke in a stern professional voice. She merely nodded her head for him to know that she understands.

"I have a proposition for you... I know that you came for the financial job interview but the way you handle Mirha and how she gets comfortable with you... I have seen her peaceful and happy for the first time. And you have also breastfed her which was another shock for me," He again said but with a slight smile at the corner of his lips. Sila was confused with his blabbering, she came for the job interview not to listen to how well she handle his daughter in her cranky mood.

"What are you saying sir? I am sorry... But I can't understand it" she said confusedly. He sighed and this time straight come to the point.

"I want to hire you as Mirha caretaker or nanny whatever you want to be... I just want my daughter to relax and happy. I did not even saw her smile or laugh so much as she did today. So Miss Hashim do you accept the job of my daughter caretaker?" He asked sternly but with a soft tone.

Sila was shocked for some time she was processing his every word. She was wide-eyed mouth agape at him who was looking at her with a hopeful expression.

"Mr. Shah I didn't know if I m capable of handling a baby as precious as Mirha. I didn't have any experience and I didn't even get a chance to love my baby," She said brokenly.

This was something big for her, the insecurities and the miseries getting to her and weighing her down. He shook his head and spoke with a stern voice.

"Like seriously woman... You calm down a three months old crank infant and feed her like a Pro and you say that you are not capable of handling her. She was always clinging to me like a koala bear and always make a fuss about feeding her but you just deal with the situation like an expert I think not even her mother will..." He cut himself off before he said something that will make this more awkward than it's already is. He saw Sila saddened face almost close to crying. He sighed pinching his nose bridge and this time talking in a soft tone.

"Look I am sorry liked really sorry to talk like that but you can't let yourself down because of some pointless insecurities. Like I said before, I want you to be Mirha caretaker. You are good with her exceptionally and she bonded well with you that also a plus point. So, do you accept this job with a double salary?" He asked with a blank expressionless face.

Sila was again dumbfounded; she didn't know what to say to this man. Sure she bonded well with Mirha the feeling she gets with Mirha was so intense and beautiful that she immediately wanted to accept the job but she has to think about her life also. She can't just take the job and left her life. He saw her struggling for an answer so he tried another approach.

"I know it's difficult for you to trust me and accept it but please consider this, Mirha needs someone to help her in some ways that I can't," he said hoping to hit the bull's eye. He saw Sila looking at Mirha banister and sighing in defeat. He knew at that moment that she will accept the job, he controls his smile and looked into Sila eye's waiting for her to tell him about her answer as she turned around. She looked at him and with one final glance at Mirha she spoke.

"Ok fine... I will accept the job but only because Mirha was so cute and I love her already," she said smilingly looking at the baby. He was smiling a full smile but her next words cause him to frown.

"So what timing you want me to come and look after her?" she asked politely. His frown deepened and she looked at him with questioning eyes.

"About that thing... I want you to shift at my place and work round the clock. I have neglected my business just for the kids since past months and the work is piling up so I want someone to always be around them when I was not available," he spoke to answer her but she was more confused now.

"You said kids not just Mirha and I can't just leave my life, my house for this job... I can't understand..." she trailed off. He closed his eyes at his stupidity, he was just blabbering about Mirha just to get her to agree for this job but he forgets to mention his elder children his twin Inaaya and Ayaan.

"Yeah, I have 3 children elder twin Inaaya and Ayaan they are 4 so to be 5 in three months. You already know about Mirha. But you only have to take care of Mirha as of now I don't want to burden you. The twins were more attached to their grandparents but my parents have to go back to Canada due to their business. They are moody and cranky but I assure you that they are so loving and caring once they know you and start to like you" he spoke.

She was listening to his every word her mind was in a panic to think about caring and handling just Mirha but hearing about his elder twin children she was more anxious and he also noticed this.

"Hey... You don't have to worry about them. I will handle them and they will behave. You just have to take care of Mirha and adjust to the new place, and maybe after you get settled you will be able to win their hearts to like you cast your love spell on my baby girl" he said chuckling. She also smiled slightly but she wanted to clear the living situation.

"Ok I will accept the job and I will love to take care of your kids but as I said before I can't leave my life for the job," she said with a stern tone. He knew at that moment she was hard nut to crack, the same stubbornness his children have and that made him smile.

"As I have already said that I ran a background check on you just to be sure and I get to know from your file that your landlord was trying to sell the house soon. So please accept the job with everything it has to offer. You won't be alone Bi Jaan my house staff head will be there to help you. It will be a win-win for both of us Miss Hashim please think about it," he said politely looking at her expressions.

She was having an internal battle but after a lot of thinking, she accepted the offer and nodded with a small smile at him. He signed in relief. She knew that her landlord was selling the house and that's why she started the job hunting to not burden Shafiya with another thing. She has considered all the possibilities and the only response she gets from her brain was that she will be able to live with Mirha. The cute baby whom toothless smiles and bubbling giggles were enough too tranquil her soul.

"That's awesome... You can start now my driver will go with you and you can pack all your stuff and after you get settled you can talk with the landlord" he said excitedly.

He was so happy that now his baby girl will have someone else to rely on who can understand her when his confused male brain can't. Sila was shocked to see his excitement but think to ignore it.

"Sir... Can I start tomorrow as it's the weekend and I have to pack all my stuff which is not possible in some hours. Also, my best friend will need more time to digest all about this. She sends me for a finance department interview not for accepting your offer of caretaker. That's the least I owned her after all her support," she spoke politely. He understands her point of view and nodded his head. Another night with cranky Mirha but it's fine with him.

"Ok fine... My driver will pick you up by afternoon and as its weekend tomorrow, I will also introduce you to everyone. Oh Mirha will be so happy and Bi Jaan will love you," he said.

She nodded at him and gets up to go. She looked toward Mirha banister and then at him biting her lip. He looked at her biting her lip putting him in a trance. He shouldn't think about his daughter's caretaker like that but his mind was not in his control, feeling her gaze he looked toward her eyes and nodded when he saw her asking permission to go near Mirha. She walked toward the banister admiring the sleeping angel and kissed her cute hands. With a last glance at Mirha, she turned around nodded her head at him muttering her Salam, and just like that she was gone. He smiled at her innocence and get back to work before Mirha got up.

Sila arrived home after shopping; she wanted to treat Shafiya with a special dinner before she has to start a new journey. She was planning to start after a short nap and made Shafiya's favorite Alfredo pasta and biryani with their most favorite ice cream cake. She messaged Shafiya to come early and stay with her tonight. She didn't tell her about everything because she needs to tell her physically.

After 3 hours of intense working in the kitchen, Sila goes to take shower and get dressed in comfortable clothes that consist of Haroon shirt and her palazzo pants, she didn't wear the dupatta as it only her in the house. She inhaled Haroon shirt and a lone tear escapes her eye. She was missing him, with every particle of her being but when she heard Shafiya voice from the drawing-room, she sucked a deep breath and wiped her eyes. She goes out to see her only family stand behind the kitchen counter, tasting the delicacies that she made. Shafiya voice broke her trance.

"Looking at this treat I guess that you got the job doesn't you Sila bear?, "Shafiya asked with glee in her voice and happy tears in her eyes. When she saw Sila nodding her head she squealed and ran to hug her best friend with all her might.

"I told you ... Yeh job tujhe hi Miley gi aur dekh mil gyi... I am so proud of you Sila bear so proud," Shafiya spoke smilingly. She was happy to see her best friend moving on in her life. She knew that Sila was still missing them and they will always be a part of her but at least she was trying to mend everything. Sila nodded her head hugging her friend her only family.

They get apart and after having their dinner with light banter from Shafiya and them enjoying their desert, Shafiya asked him the most dreaded question that she was avoiding.

"So tell me what the job is about and the salary and about the staff... Come on tell me I have to know about it," Shafiya asked but seeing Sila nervous expression she raised her eyebrow and crossed her arms across her chest which told Sila how serious she is. Sila sighed defeated and told her about everything that transpired during the interview and the job offer and her accepting the job. By the end of her explaining, she was expecting Shafiya to scold her and beat her but when she got excited shrieked from her friend she got confused, but that's Shafiya for you. She was unexpected.

"Yeh tu bohat acha hua Sila... This way you can bond with the baby and also you can save money for your own house without any tension of monthly payments and all," Shafiya said politely but with an excited tone. Sila nodded her head and with all this excitement both of them started to pack her stuff and boxed the unnecessary stuff to be donated at the orphanage. They talked and laughed, after 5 hours of packing everything they got done and dropped on the bed dead tried and within minutes they fell asleep.

The next day, the got up late and made breakfast, enjoyed their time together and when Ahtisham driver came to pick Sila up she was a nervous wreck. She hugged her friend who tried to console her and made her start the new chapter of her life like a Pro. She locked the house with a heavy heart. She didn't want to leave this house this was the last remains of her family but she has to start again. She has paid for this month's rent that's why she was not taking all her stuff and was planning to store it later. With the final wave at Shafiya who was also emotional and promised to visit her soon. She moves toward her new journey.

She arrived at Shah palace after 45 minutes journey, the house was just like a palace. Like some royalty lives there. She was mesmerized with the view and when the driver opens the door of her side, she gets out and goes toward the main door following the driver. He knocked at the door and smiled at the old lady who opened the door. Sila smiled at the driver thanking him for his help and look toward the lady who was smiling warmly at her with motherly care and beckoned her inside.

"Assalam o Alaikum... Tum Sila hona... Mirha ki caretaker... Pareshan na ho beta main Bi Jaan hon es Ghar ki sari zimadari sambhalti hn lekin wo Bachi es Umar main nhi sambhal skty... Ao sab drawing room main hai tumhara hi intazar kr rhe hai," Bi Jaan spoke smilingly.

Sila was also smiling at the enthusiasm of Bi Jaan and moved beside her toward the noisy area. The moment she steps into the drawing-room 4 pairs of eyes turned toward her. Two pairs of eyes with curiosity, one with glee and one with hope. Sila observes her surroundings but the next moment she heard a loud squeal from baby Mirha she smiled politely. Mirha was bouncing in her father's lap to reach Sila. Ahtisham stood up to welcome and introduce Sila; Mirha started making grabby hands at Sila who looked at Ahtisham as if asking for permission to hold her.

He nodded passing his excited daughter to Sila who was giggling in her arms. He was again mesmerized with the scene in front of his eyes. He looked at Bi Jaan who has happy tears in her eyes seeing Mirha laugh so freely for the first time. Now she knew why Ahtisham chooses Sila for this job. She smiled one last time at the pair and moved toward the kitchen to get the refreshments and snacks for the kids.

"Well, it's good to see you here... This one was eagerly waiting for you as she was crankier since she waked up yesterday. Now come I will introduce you to the twin," he said politely smiling at them and pointed toward the duo who was trying to ignore her but still stealing glances at her. She smiled at them already finding them adorable.

"Inaaya... Ayaan... Bacha comes here... Meet Sila... She was here to take care of Mirha as Baba has a lot of work in the office and she will also help you guys, she will live with us as I have already told you. Miss Hashim... These are my babies... I hope you guys will soon bond greatly," he spoke with a soft tone.

The twins are just looking at her with a blank expression and left from there without saying anything. Ayaan turned around again looking at her with curiosity and something that she can't understand is that longing in his eyes. She ignored her thoughts and tried to smile at Ayaan but he was gone before that. The awkwardness was at its peak and the tension can be cut with a knife, Ahtisham pinched his nose bridge a habit he did when he was upset. He inhaled a deep breath and turned toward Sila to apologize for the twin's behavior but she already cut him off and finished his apology.

"Its ok Mr. Shah there is no need to apologize or something. They are kids and they will be wary of a new person. I didn't get upset and the loss they have to face at such a tender age made it more reasonable for the moody behavior. I promise to try my best to help them get back to their old selves and they will be In sha Allah," she spoke smiling at him giving him all the reassurance he needed. He nodded at her and smiled.

Bi Jaan came with a food tray and not finding the kids; she shook her head and moved toward their room. Ahtisham took Sila to show her room where she will be living. The room was right across the kids' room which was closed with a thud when they heard them approaching. Ahtisham made a sorry face and plan to have a good talk with the twins about manners and etiquettes. His room was right next to the twins. He opened the door and signaled her to enter first with Mirha still on her arms. She goes inside and gasped looking at the spacious room with light peach color on the walls contrasting with white and silver. The bed was queen size with all the necessary she needs for Mirha. The changing table, crib, baby bags, Mirha clothes in her closet, etc. She was admiring the room when Ahtisham's voice gets her attention.
