A.N.: I had a real hard time writing this chapter, I just couldnt get Perrie right? Like, her personality is still a mystery. Ugh, sorry for everyone who has waited for this and hoped for a good chapter, I hope you can still enjoy it?

They had already walked a long way, Harry out of side for at least a whole minute ago, but Perrie still kept going, dragging the confused, but nonetheless annoyed, Louis along.
The girl finally halted a couple of moments later as Louis couldn't spot any human being around them anymore. He waited for her to react, but Perrie still just stood in front of him, not speaking a word of the explanation Louis had expected.
What she did do was glaring. Perrie had mastered the glaring-art so well, that the blue eyed vampire could almost feel flaming anger penetrating his skin, burning holes in the places of his skin where her eyes were pointed.
Yes, glaring she could, but speaking, apparently, not so much.
"What's up?" Louis smiled, trying to enlighten the mood and cut the steel thick tension. He got to feel just a tad bit uncomfortable because of her deadly glare. (Well, good thing Louis was practically an immortal)
"God, Louis, you really haven't changed a thing in those two years. You're still a cocky, arrogant little shit, thinking everything is just a game," she hissed immediately as Louis' words had broken her defiant silence. Although she was practically as short as Louis, he almost felt intimidated by the bold girl.
"I just asked what was wrong. Why're you so angry with me?" Louis took a step back, holding his hands up in defense.
"Do you even have to ask?" Perrie pulled up an eyebrow in surprised anger, "You just go, break the truce, flaunting like you owe the place, seducing and endangering innocent boys, and you don't understand why I'm mad?"
Louis was now in a state that could best be described as completely, utterly confused. Sure the seducing part could be understood, after all the girl had seen him and Harry kiss. But it had been such a chaste kiss, even with the way that Harry, or more precisely his blood, effected Louis, (which Perrie didn't even had knowledge of) the boy hadn't been in danger for even a millisecond.

And even more shocking had been that the girl dared to accuse him of having broken the truce, while he was nothing but in-the-vampire-closet and never, ever had fed of one of the people that attended their school.
At the beginning of their first year on this school, Perrie, as a witch, had instantly known Louis and Liam's bloody secret, so the three had made a pact. If the vampires wouldn't ever feed of one of the teens going to the school, never form a danger for them and at least try to be a bit invisible, she wouldn't give them out to hunters (who would probably gladly kill her as well, so that had never really been a option) and she wouldn't make a fight.
The two species had lived in peace for the remaining time at the boarding school. Living next each other, not communicating, not acknowledging each other's existence. Well, until now that was.
"What are you even talking about?" Louis was starting to lose his temper, "I didn't break the truce and I'm certainly not planning to."
"Oh come on, I have eyes. I can see what you're doing to that boy, and most importantly I know how you bloodsuckers are. I've met some myself and my mother has told me everything she knows about them as well. Once you parasites have seduced a human, once you've kissed one, you can't help but sucking all their blood out of their body. Its how you are," Her nose was almost touching Louis as she spatted the heavy words.
The vampire could see a venomous green fire burning in her blue eyes as the fury took over. Well after all, she was a witch. (and if Louis thought it was kinda fitting that it rhymed with bitch, that was his little secret)
"But it's nothing like that," Louis said, taking a defensive pose hoping to calm her, "I've literally got no plans of taking any sip of Harry's blood. I -I just like him so much. I've never felt something like this before, but I do know that I wouldn't ever be able to take his blood."
Perrie wasn't even a little bit convinced yet, "That's what you say. But two weeks later there will be a dead body lying in your dorm or in the woods. It's a vampire instinct. They can't kiss humans, and absolutely can't have sex with them without draining them completely or if you have an amazing control, at least feeding. And if I remember well, a part of the truce was that you wouldn't feed of the students here."
"You don't understand Perrie. As I told that I wouldn't be able to kill him, drain him, I mean that I physically am not able to do so. I don't know why, normally, although I have an amazing control, I would've been too tempted already, but with this lad. I won't. I can't. It almost kills me thinking of it that I would do something to hurt him. I -I,"

he took a deep breath, and while talking about it, he suddenly knew. It was like a light at the horizon. The first sight of a sun that has always been there. Deep within he already kinda knew, but now he saw. He had found the answer to all these mysteries as what was happening. It itched in his insides, underneath his skin. An answer to why he couldn't even bear to be away of the curly haired boy, even right now he desperately needed to see him, to smell him, to hear his heartbeat closer.
Because, now he thought of it. In the back of his mind, he still could hear the familiar sound of Harry's heart, telling him that the boy was in fact alright, maybe just a little bit stressed. Louis could feel it in every single bone that that boy and him were meant for each other. They belonged together. It was set in the stars.
"Harry, I, I think he is my blood-mate," Louis breathed.
Perrie couldn't look more astonished, her mascara covered eyelashes almost touching her eyebrows as she spread her eyes that much open in surprise, "But that's not possible. I've never even heard about a blood-pair that weren't both vampires."
"Me neither, " Louis admitted, "But I just know he is. And that's definitely the reason why I would never, ever be able to hurt him, or even worse kill. It makes me sick thinking just of it. We belong with each other, Harry and I. I know that, vampires have instincts for that, we can sense such matters, like I also know about you and Zayn."
"I, what? Zayn and I," she snorted, "This is were you're completely wrong buddy, there's nothing between me and Zayn."
"Wait, you can't feel it? He hasn't told you?"
"Told me what?" She was getting to become very impatient and annoyed with Louis, but the little blush on her cheeks betrayed her real thoughts.
"You're his mate. The Juliet to his Romeo. The Nala to his Simba. The Harry to my Louis. I told you, I'm a vampire we can sense such things, hasn't your mother taught you that fact about us? Liam even thinks so as well about you two. Which reminds me I have to talk about him why he didn't tell me about Harry and I," Louis plotted.
The girl didn't know what to say anymore, she desperately wanted to change the subject, but she couldn't quite find something, so she tried to think of something. Eventually other issues came up in her mind, creating some new tension, "Does Harry even know? And how are you going to handle a relationship with a human? You're not aging, for God's sake."
"I just barely know about it, Perrie, and he has just been told about my condition. So no, of course I haven't told him yet, but when time is right, I promise you with all my unmoving heart that I will. He deserves to know the truth. And about him being human, I don't know what to do yet. I'll let him choose probably. If he wants to be changed, I will turn him into a creature of blood, if he doesn't want it. Well, we'll see. Only time can tell," Louis looked down, like he thought his shoes could reveal all the secrets of the universe, resolving his own problems as well.
Perrie didn't open her mouth anymore, taking everything in that had been said. Louis sighed.
"And if you don't mind, I'm going to class now, okay?" the vampire spoke up, getting an urge to flee from this place, and more precisely this witch.
"Its, yeah, whatever, " she answered absentmindedly, waving her hand a bit in Louis' direction. This had been the first time that had happened. Normally she couldn't been helped of dominating the situation, always wanting the last word in anything. She usually held a certain defiance in everything she did, but right now it looked like it had flown away. Normally she wouldn't have let him go, hissing that the conversation wasn't over yet, but now Louis could walk away immediately. Strange.
Louis didn't quite feel like going to class, so he just decided to take a little stroll in the woods, getting his thoughts on a row, thinking everything through. He did send a text to Harry, asking him to meet him at the edge of the woods that night. The two still had much so much to discuss, Louis still had so much to explain, and it looked like every minute something got added to the list. Louis hated himself for getting that beautiful, innocent boy into the world of the supernatural that would certainly be too dark, too cruel for his own good.
But it is what it is, and he had to make the best of it.

Shrike
He wants to play the latest and greatest VRMMORPG game, but he can't muster up the cash for the fancy new proprietary hardware and membership license. After months of saving up cash and arduous work, he has built a behemoth of a machine relying almost entirely on seedy old technology and a DIY guide by some dude named "Jimmy Bob." This is the story of his entry into the game. This is also a story of intrigue, exploration, introspection, batshit crazy game design, and unintended but entirely predictable consequences. This is G.C.O. Undergoing a total re-write, mostly because I think things were too rushed rather than any content or direction changes. If you are one of the few who tried Shrike when it was briefly updating, consider giving it another shot. Of no relation to either The Great Crusade or the recent (in 2017 lol) Shrike book for Warhammer by Games Workshop. All similarities in these cases are superficial; please don't sue me. Feedback welcome and encouraged, never be afraid to review or comment. HQ/Kindle-Grade cover art. Book Cover 2.0: "From the Dark"
