A.N.: I don't even know what I'm doing with this story any more? But hey, here's a new chapter hope you like it! it's the longest ever, which is really weird because it feels like i've almost nothing? oh well. Oh and, should there be a possibility of smut in later chapters?
I almost never dedicate chapters, but xxsmxx has BEAUTIFUL stories that have way to little reads, because she just writes amazing! (and I'm really fangirling that she reads my story!) so, yeah, you should all visit her profile.

“So basically, you want me to believe that you and Liam are ‘vampires’ and Zayn is like some kind of werewolf?”
“I don’t want you to believe me, Harry. I’m just stating facts,” Louis shrugged like he didn’t care what Harry thought, but inside he was hoping badly that the curly haired boy would believe him. Believe him and not ran away from him screamingly.
Harry kept looking at him through eyes squinted out of disbelief. He knew what he saw and it did kind of fit with Louis’ explanation, but it couldn’t be real right? They were only living on plain earth, just a normal world. Immortal creatures living of blood and men changing into wolves didn’t exist, right? Was it even scientific possible to live hundreds of years by taking blood or transphorming into some sort of canine just because the moon was at its fullest?
“Look I know It’s a lot to take in and I don’t need you to believe me already. I know. I’ve been there too, you know. So, if you still have questions I’m more than happy to answer them. I must admit I don’t know much about werewolves, but you can ask me everything about my own species.”
“Come on, Louis, you really think I’m going to believe you’re a vampire? Please, cut the joke before it gets awkward.”
Although Harry’s words sounded certain, his body language gave away his doubt. His lip was almost bleeding from the pressure of his teeth and his eyes were looking everywhere but Louis’ direction. Something Louis instantly saw through.
“I would never joke about something like that,” Louis hissed, offended that Harry thought so low about him, “You’ve seen enough proof yourself. I’m not lying to you!”
“But it can’t be true! Things like that just don’t exist!”
“You want me to prove it to you,” Louis asked defiantly, “you want me to show you again?”
Slowly Louis crawled closer to the curly haired boy, looking him straight in the eyes while carefully pronouncing every single word. The tone of his voice had noticeably lowered. Eventually he ended up sitting right in front of the boy and spoke up, almost whispered, his normally high pitched voice currently deeper than ever.
“You want me to make you believe it?”
Harry couldn’t see anything anymore but the blue of Louis’ eyes. At the moment they were more like a darkish blue than the normal cerulean. It was weird how they’d clearly darkened a lot, like a shadow had invaded them, but they also seemed to burn brightly like dancing flames, burning holes in Harry’s own eyes. Amazing how a colour that looked more as ice, could warm him up, heat his cheeks and make his blood run faster, like fire could. The teenage human couldn’t utter a word, but his adam apple bopped up and down as he swallowed. Against all expectations, Harry gave him a little nod as to answer the vampire’s question.

Suddenly Louis’ index finger was slowly running over Harry’s neck. Up and down. Up and down. Lightly touching his skin from the upper edge of his collar-bone up to the bottom of his jaw, finally ending at a point somewhere in between where Louis eventually left his finger and increased the pressure slightly.
“I can hear your heartbeat from any place in this room, Harry. Even from a couple of room’s away. I can feel the blood running through your veins by just laying my finger on your skin. I can instantly find the thickest vein in your body just by instinct.”
His eyes darkened even more.
“I can smell the sweet taste of your blood even from miles afar. And I should add, your blood has the best scent i’ve ever fallen upon.”
Louis leant over and placed his nose at the crook of where Harry’s neck began and his shoulder ended. He inhaled.
Harry knew that he should be afraid, terrified even, but for some reason he wasn’t. Louis’ presence didn’t feel imminent, but oddly safe. It was weird how he felt so at ease with Louis, completely trusting him that he wouldn’t attack him, because yes, whatever Harry had said before, deep down he knew that the fringed haired lad spoke the truth. The same way how he knew, how he felt that Louis wasn’t a threat nor ready to take Harry’s blood, whatever the vampire might be saying or doing.
“I could easily pierce your skin, just to take a small taste of that wonderful blood of yours. Would that prove my point to you? Would you believe me then?”
His voice was almost inaudible. Louis sniffed a last time, before leaning backwards. His eyes not yet turning back to their original cerulean colour as he tried to fight back his bloodthirst. He bared his fangs.
“Luckily for you, I promised myself I wouldn’t do that. So we’ll have to find another way to prove myself for you.”
Harry’s cheeks heated up. He shifted on his bed, trying to hide his half hard one. Embarrassed that he was already a bit turned on by this, by Louis’ previous proximity, Harry prayed that Louis wouldn’t notice. When did it happen that Louis’ presence occurred such reactions from Harry? But then, he actually had already managed to fluster the curly haired boy from the first day they’ve met.
Louis spoke up again his tone gone back to a normal, but gentle sound, “Harry, just admit it to yourself. You know I’m speaking the truth, so embrace it. I solemnly promise you that I will never hurt you. I might need blood to survive and have the power to break through a wall, but I would never use that in your disadvantage. You really don’t need to be afraid of me, nothing’s going to change between us. Nothing will be different from when it was before. Now, you just know about what I really am.”
Harry shook his head, “I’m not afraid of you, Louis. It’s not that, because I do trust you, how odd it might sound. I myself don’t even know why,” he hesitated a bit before continuing, “It’s just so weird! Out of all the things i’ve thought of and considered of what was different about you, I never even came close to this. The logical part of my brain says that this isn’t happening, but everything leads to it.”
At least we’ve made progress, Louis though, sitting back in Indian style in front of Harry where the curly haired boy was looking at his lap for a short amount of time, not meeting Louis’, now gentle, eyes.

“Can you tell me about it?” Harry suddenly spoke up, his voice almost inaudible.
“Sure, I can do that. Why?”
“I just, can you tell me more about it so I can make sure that my mind hasn’t made all this up. Most of the time, my dreams aren’t that original. I’m not that creative to come up with things so. And well, if it’s all true, I really am curious.”
Louis let a relieved breath of air. He knew that Harry was just on the edge of embracing the truth. If he played this good, the boy in front of him would believe him and hopefully not resent him.
“shoot!” he declared.
“How old are you really?” Harry’s curious eyes were directed at Louis, analyzing his face and carefully awaiting his answer. He didn’t expect the blue eyed boy to giggle as a response.
“Why are you laughing at me? Is this a joke after all?” He looked truly offended.
“No, of course not. I really am a vampire,” Louis tried to be serious again, but his eyes were still crinkled from amusement, “It’s just. Most people would ask about our eating habitats, about our kills or how dangerous we are. Things that matter for their own safety and being. It’s just cute that you decide your first question to be something as innocent as my age.”
Harry was chuckling too now, embarrassed scratching the back of his head, “Alright, maybe it is a bit weird. It was just the first thing to pop up in my mind.”
“No,” Louis intervened, shaking his head “I shouldn’t have laughed at you. I’m just a bit nervous myself.”
“Why?”
The utter surprise in Harry’s eyes took Louis aback. Like how he really couldn’t believe that Louis had things to be nervous about.
“I don’t know,” It was now Louis’ time to be flustered, “I just don’t want you to avoid me after this. Or hate me or resent me for that matter. I don’t want this to change things between us.”
Louis decided to change the topic before Harry could even intervene, “But to answer your question. I was born around 1695 or 1696 in Doncaster, England. Us commoners didn’t really keep track of time that much. It was more something the nobility did. Uh, I was turned when I was 18 or 19, so you do the math?”
He lifted an eyebrow, while Harry was looking with wide opened eyes up at him, his jaw hanging open out of surprise.
“More than 300 years old?” he ended up stammering.
Louis shrugged like it wasn’t a big deal that he was in fact more than 4 times older than Harry’s grandmother.
“Liam’s even much older than I am. He has passed the thousand.”
Harry’s jaw was almost hitting the ground. He looked like he was going to comment on that, but then surprised Louis with firing a new attack of questions.
“How did you guys get to know each other then? Did he turn you? Did you meet afterwards?”
Louis scrunched his nose, his eyes clouded with his oldest memories as he looked troubled at red curtains covering the window. At first he didn’t respond, but then changed his demeanor again and turned to Harry, ruffling his curls a bit. Harry happily leaned back in his hand. Even though he knew that the boy who was patting his hair wasn’t even human and in fact very dangerous, he couldn’t help but still feeling comfortable in his presence. Even worse, he felt even more at ease now he knew that Louis could protect him from other dangerous things, like the wolf before. Kind of feeling like Louis was his personal protector.
“That’s a story for another time Curly. It’s far too long and complicated. You must be tired now after such a long day. Why don’t you go to sleep now? I’ll be still there to answer your questions when you wake up.”
Although his body betrayed Harry by letting him yawn, he objected, “ ‘m not tired. Tell me more!”
Louis sighed, rolling his eyes at the curly haired boy’s stubborn personality.
“Alright, just a few short ones then.”
He gave Harry some time to think up his next question, but he managed to buzz another one soon.
“You’ve made it quite clear before that I had to ask you about your eating. So, tell me about it.”
While asking this, Harry had crept under his duvet, making it look like Louis was telling him a bedside story not stating facts about his bloody diet.
“Well, I have to feed once or twice a week,” he began, “People don’t turn immediately into a vampire when you take their blood, nor does it kill them. If you don’t take too much that is, but some vampire prefer to do so, that’s where we’ve gotten our reputation. Oh, and I can eat normal human food, I just don’t need it to survive like you.”
Harry was considerately taking all this new information in. His brain forming a mental image of a hunting Louis whom he secretly thought was very hot. Harry blushed again for when he saw through the stupidity of his thoughts. Here was Louis talking about murder and vital information and all Harry could think about was how hot he would be? Hell, he should never even think about Louis that way. He was a vampire right? Nothing could happen between the two of them.
Luckily Louis didn’t manage to notice Harry’s inner battle and continued his monologue.
“Most of the time people don’t even notice it when I take their blood, because they’re sleeping. But when people do, they like it, because our fangs release an enormous amount of endorphins. That’s why some of our kind like to have sex with humans while doing so. Vampire do –”
“Are you one of them,” Harry’s puppy eyes were directed straight at him, interrupting Louis when he just wanted to start a new sentence and startling him.
“I –uh –no , not really. I –I mean, I uh...” Louis was stuttering, falling over his words, trying to come up with a decent answer but was at loss, fortunately Harry decided to release him from his struggle.
“Okay, continue please,” he implied, nodding like he just had a good answer.
“Uh, I think that’s it. Sort of. Don’t really know what I can tell you more? Any other questions?”
“What blood types do you prefer. A positive, O negative?”
Louis chuckled lightly, and petted the curly hair for the millionth time that day, noticing another small yawn coming from Harry’s mouth.
“It’s not like that. All people taste different, no matter their blood type. Just like all people smell different and look different, act differently. It’s just in their DNA.”
“Oh,” Harry blinked a couple of eyes, than lifted his hand to rub in his tired eyes who were almost falling close, “Do you think I would taste good?” The innocence in his sleepy voice was too cute.
“According to how you smell, you should taste better than anyone I’ve had before. But don’t worry, I’m not going to take any.”
“Bu wha if I want ya to?” Harry muttered sleepily, not even able to form good words anymore.
“What?”
Louis didn’t get an answer after that as he was met with soft snores coming out of the curly haired boy’s nose. His eyelids closed and chest lightly falling up and down with every breath he took.
The vampire took his time to admire the sleeping boy. The way his eyelashes gently brushed his rose cheeks and his pouty lips were slightly opened, revealing just a snap of white teeth.
Harry was utterly beautiful.
He was beautiful and smelled better than anyone else and he was the sweetest, kindest and funniest boy Louis had ever met. Louis could only thank the gods that Harry still talked to him, that he accepted Louis’ condition and still acted like his friend.
Louis sighed.
Seeing the boy now after all that had occurred the last couple of hours, the last couple of days, he couldn’t help but know that he had fallen for him.
He, a vampire, fallen for a human boy. They could never end up together. They weren’t even the same kind, hell Louis kind was supposed to sort of eat Harry’s kind and you don’t see a lion loving an antelope do you?
Oh, how cruel the universe could be.
A.N.: So, smut? No smut?

Midthalion Saga
+++Working on new chapters. Share what I've posted with your friends and family! Be sure to build strong bonds with those who are important to you. We only have each other in this world for so long!+++ Can Roderick XXIII gather together and train a party of adventurers to clear out Madeon Caves and bring peace to the wildmarches of Midthalion? Sent from his home monastery in the west to the wildmarches of Midthalion, Roderick the Holy Avenger is devoted to living out his oath to bring the Holy Light to the dark corners of the world. He enlists the help of an old friend, Ulrich Vogelbrandt the dwarf druid, to train and prepare a fighting force capable of defending the west from the evil they both see gathering and growing in the east. Eoroth is an ode to Tolkienesque epic fantasy, Robert E Howard and H.P. Lovecraft's pulp fiction, and Gygaxian Dungeons & Dragons. I like to write about serious topics because I think it's fun. I hope it makes for a fun read. Place: Eoroth, a vast, flat world with many continents set in oceans that reach out and mingle with the Celestial Sea. Our story takes place on the continent of Thalion in the middle, unsettled region called Midthalion. Peoples: Races in Eoroth aren't different species; the species of man is just incredibly diverse, consisting of many known races (and perhaps some unknown). There are no humans in Thalion. Thalion's races include variations of elves, dwarves, halflings (billowits), pierros (clownish men), bergeracs (long-nosed and swarthy men of honour), orcs, trolls, goblins, and hobgobs. The Church: There's one dominant religion in Westhalion. The faith of the elves is an analogue to Roman Catholicism while the dwarves practice an Eastern Orthodox analogue. (Forgive me for not having figured out names yet.) The practitioners worship a triune god (the All-Father, Son-of-All, and Holy Light). There are many powers in heaven, all created by God. These include the Twelve High Thrones, individual, created beings who take on the role of guiding mankind in different aspects, drawing them closer and closer to God. (That should be the essentials. I could write pages on the theology. Comment where something's unclear in the story.) Natural World: There are plants and animals in Eoroth, but the world is also inhabited by spirits called aeons. Aeons are transformative beings; in the wild, they'll change based on whatever is happening nearby. Pollute a pond? Expect to see toxic toad-men running around. Leave a bunch of dead bodies strewn across a battlefield? Expect the place to become haunted with ghouls and ghasts. Druids are important for making sure that the aeons are pacified; that their needs are met so that they don't become rampaging monsters. Where the wilderness becomes overgrown, so too do the aeons. Aeons and People: Long ago, men learned how to trap aeons in stone tablets and use them for war. Now, anyone can capture an aeon into a special staff made by a druid. Men train, raise, and bond with these aeons. Druids often build entire ranches devoted to raising healthy aeons as allies and companions. Aeons are divided into twelve known families, and the church sees these as corresponding with the Twelve Thrones in Heaven. Direction: My goal is to get the story to one million words by June next year. I have tons of content in mind for the world. I want to release novels set in different ages of the world depicting different historical events. I hope to expand the setting into a tabletop role-playing game as well as a series of old-school JRPGs. But, it all begins with writing some stories and publishing my novels.
