"Where's my angel?" Anne yelled as she walked into Harry's house. Louis giggled loudly at that and jumped off the couch. He waddled over to Anne as fast as he can.
"Here he is!" Anen said and engulfed Louis in a tight hug. Louis breathed in her motherly scent and snuggled closer to her.
"Hello, mom. You have a son named Harry too." Harry said standing there with his hands on his hips and a playful glare.
"Oh, do I now?" Anne asked smirking, making Harry huff playfully.
"Do you know that lanky frog standing there, Lou?" Anne asked turning Louis around in her hands and pointing at Harry. Louis giggled throwing his head back and nodded.
Harry crossed his arms with a little huff, giving Louis a sad face.
"Loulou, you remember me, right? Hazzie, your best friend" Harry said with a pout.
Louis giggled with his head back, his hand jerking continuously.
"'a-zzie m' f-wend" Louis said and threw himself into Harry, making Harry gasp and quickly catch him in his arms.
"Careful Lou, nearly dropped you angel." Harry said hugging the boy tightly.
Anne smiled fondly at the two boys, getting flashbacks of when the boys were young and would laugh loudly and make each other smile.
"Harry dear, don't you think you and Louis should go to therapy now?" Anne said patting Harry's shoulder. Harry has found a psychologist for Louis and today's their first appointment there. They has been going to Louis' speech therapist for two weeks now.
"Don't you gonna join us?" Harry asked.
"No, I just dropped by. I was on my way going out with few of my friends." Anne said and Harry nodded.
"Yeah, we should get going now. I was just packing a snack for him." Harry said and took Louis' hand in his and walked to the kitchen and Anne following them.
Harry sat Louis on a chair in the kitchen and turned around to find a lunchbox. Louis giggled and Harry turned around to see him playing with water that's running from the faucet of the sink in the kitchen and Anne is smiling at him fondly.
"Don't get your shirt wet, Lou." Harry said, smiling fondly at the adorable boy. 'He's much happier now.' Harry thought.
"All done!" Harry said when he finished packing some grilled cheese sandwiches to a lunchbox. He placed the lunchbox on the table and walked over to Louis.
"That's enough mister. We have places to go." He said taking both of Louis' hands in one of his hands and closing the faucet with hs other hand. Louis whined and tried to run the faucet again but Harry shook his head and picked the boy up.
"No, Lou. We can play more when we get home, alright?" Harry said stroking Louis' hair not wanting the boy to cry. A pouty Louis looked at him with hope, making Harry coo and nod at the boy. Louis then placed his head on Harry shoulder and started chewing on his hand.

"God, he's so precious." Anne mumbled, her fond smile growing. Harry smiled down at Louis and adjusted Louis' white shirt that has word 'Princess' in pink on it, so it doesn't show off the waistband of his panties from behind.
"Let's get going. Shall we?" Harry asked but got no response from Louis but Anne nodded and stood up.
"I'd be get going too. Come, Lou, give me a huggie!" Anne said excitedly. Louis squealed and wiggled out of Harry's hold to give Anne a hug. Anne kissed his forehead and both of his cheeks.
"Mom, you're leaving lipstick stains on his face." Harry commented chuckling. Anne sent him a playful glare.
"Do you want some too?" She asked with a smirk and Harry's eyes widened like lipstick stains can never be removed.
"No!" He said and hid behind Louis, slightly bending down for a better hide. It's just that he's too tall, not Louis being too short. He's 5'9 after all. Anne chuckled loudly, making Louis giggle like mad too.
"Alright, alright. Let's get going. You guys are gonna be late for the appointment." Anne said and walked over to Harry to place a kiss on his forehead too.
"Take care of him, Haz." She said when she received a kiss from Harry on her cheek and turned around to wipe away lipstick stains from Louis' face.
"Oh, and Harry when are you gonna go back to work?" Anne asked.
"Tomorrow. I have few meetings tomorrow. It'd be late when I get home." Harry said.
"Okay. Are you gonna drop him at mine or should I come over?" Anne asked.
"Whatever fine with you is fine with me." Harry said and took Louis' hand in one of his hands and the lunchbox in the other hand.
"Drop him at mine." Anne said and Harry nodded.
"Alright. Let's go then." He said and walked out of the kitchen with Louis and Anne. Anne bid her goodbyes and got into her car. Harry buckled Louis up to the passenger seat and buckled himself to the driver's seat.
"Lou, adjust your skirt. Don't let it rise up. Okay?" Harry gave Louis a life longing advice. Louis nodded and adjusted it.

"Let's go." Harry said as he unbuckled Louis' seat belt and picked the boy up. He put Louis on the floor and opened the backseat door to collect the bag that has Louis' extra clothes and the lunchbox. He took Louis' hand and started walking to the building. Louis let out a reasonless giggle, drawing attention of few walk bys. One of the ladies that was walking by scowled at Louis. He can't help but turn on his possessive mode and send a death glare at her.
"Appointment under Tomlinson." Harry told to the nurse in the front desk. She nodded and looked at her computer again.

"Dr. Singh is in the room 17. You would be next after the patient she has in now." She said and smiled when Louis giggled.
"Thank you." Harry said and told Louis to say bye to her. Louis cutely waved to the nurse and the nurse cooed and waved back.
"Let's go and find the room." Harry took a hold of Louis' hand and started walking slowly allowing Louis to waddle after him.
When they found the room they waited in the waiting room for their name to be called. Louis sat on the chair next to Harry but the chair was uncomfortable., so he sat on Harry's lap. Harry quickly took a hold of Louis so he doesn't fall off. Louis' hand jerked suddenly hitting Harry's face. Louis giggled making Harry chuckle. They were being cute together when their name has been called.
"Mr. Tomlinson? Please, come in." Harry stood up after placing Louis on the ground and took a hold of Louis' hand.
"Who's Mr. Tomlinson?" The doctor's assistant asked before they could enter into the doctor's office.
"This is Mr. Tomlinson." Harry said gesturing to the smaller lad next to him.
"Do you want your friend here to come in with you?" The assistant asked. Louis nodded furiously and wrapped his arms around Harry. Harry chuckled and followed the lady into the room.
"Take a seat, sirs. Dr. Singh would be here." The lady said with a gentle smile. Harry said a small thank you and sat, this time with Louis sitting next to him.
"Hello, Mr. Tomlinson and Mr." The cheery doctor trailed off at the end.
"Styles." Harry said gesturing to himself so the doctor gets who his patient is.
"Great! And I'm Dr. Singh but call me Lilly." The doctor said with a bright smile. Harry told Louis to say hi boy just waved with a shy smile.
"Let's talk!" Dr. Singh clapped and sat on her chair with a smile. "How are you today?" The doctor asked looking at Louis. Louis giggled and leaned to hide his face in Harry's shoulder. Harry chuckled and told him to talk with the doctor.
"G-go-od." Louis mumbled. The doctor smiled and catching a little on his difficulty about speaking.
"That's good." The doctor said and opened the file that has some details about Louis. Harry has given out the important information about Louis, such as his age, his syndrome and his difficulties and about the care home he was in before.
The doctor talked with Louis for the next hour but he just seems a happy cheery lad. It looks like there is nothing going wrong and he hasn't been having nightmares every night. Then the doctor dared to ask the question Harry dreaded.
"Tell me about your mommy, Louis." She said and the look on her face gave out that she didn't want to ask that question but she had to in order to help Louis. She has to know about everything that goes inside Louis' mind.
Louis face lit up and he looked around like he's looking for his mommy. Harry felt like burying himself.
"M-omm-a?" He asked looking at the doctor with a bright face, silently asking if his mommy is here. That made Dr. Singh's heart melt.
"I'm sorry, Louis, but she's not here. Do you remember that she was in a car accident?" Lilly asked but regretted it right after Louis' face fell and his eyes fill with tears. But it's fine, as long as she gets to know what's bothering Louis so much.
"'an-t mo-mma, 'azzie. 'ant mo-mm-a." Louis mumbled and buried his head in Harry's chest, his hand continuously jerking.
"It's fine, Loulou." Harry had nothing to tell other than that and hope that it all would be fine one day. He felt his heart break all over again for the boy. He felt guilt eating him out alive again. He felt all the same feelings again and again, making him want to shout it all out and turn back time. But he could do nothing. He had to look Louis suffering here with dark memories of his mother dying right in front of his eyes and memories of a care home that treated him like he's just a dirt.
Harry wished he didn't leave Louis that day. He wished he wasn't such a coward. He wished he wasn't so scared of them back then.

The Animo Saga
Before history was well-recorded in the world of Ulakam, primordial animal spirits adopted humans, provided protection and developed deep spiritual connections with them. Millennia later, humans now host animal spirits and are split into tribes named for the species they host. Ulakam is slowly being consumed by a decades-long war pitting the main tribes against the smaller tribes and a group of bandits calling themselves "the resistance". Callida Animo was born into this world. Coming from a mixed family of generational soldiers, Callida joined the family business at a young age. In her words, she was practically bred, born, and raised to be a soldier. And she's good at what she does... which inevitably attracts attention that makes her unambitious self extremely uncomfortable. Love, loss, influence and growth. This is her story. Written episodically, this story focuses on relationships and character growth through a series of mini-arcs that connect to make a greater whole. (Honestly, the story would lend itself well to a TV series.) "Episodes" range from 3-7 chapters (at least so far), and average about 4 or 5 chapters. Author's note: I'm always thrilled to receive comments, follows, ratings/reviews, messages.... All forms of feedback are welcome and encouraged. However, I have no interest in begging readers for more engagement to get better visibility. I tried that with my last story and found the game soul-sucking. So! This constitutes my only self-promotion request. If you are reading this story, let me know what you think! I love engaging with my readers. We'll see if growing the readership organically is even possible. Thank you! 😘 Release schedule: Weekly on Wednesday afternoons
