you got of your train and started running towards your shop.

you didn't wanna make your customers wait. you opened up you shop and went straight to work. you spent too much work on your own dress and now you might not finish in time. it was way easier with anne as my assistant.

maybe I should hire an assistant.

you finished the order right in time and closed the shop. you were exhausted so after dinner you went straight to bed. it was still early but you had to get up at 5 a.m. if you wanted to be at school on time.

the next morning you woke up and jumped out of bed. today you were gonna drink tea with gilbert. you put on your new blue dress and styled your hair with a dark blue ribbon.

on the train everyone was looking at your dress. it made you feel amazing.

"good morning miss" a stranger said while passing by.

"good morning" you said smiling

you sat down by the window and started reading.

"y/n is coming for tea today" Gilbert says while walking into his kitchen smiling.

"ah your girlfriend" sebastian says teasingly. Gilbert chuckles and shakes his head.

"she's not my girlfriend... yet" Gilbert says trying to look confident.

"how about this shirt bash?"

"looks the same as all the other shirt you've tried on blythe" sebastian says laughing. Gilbert sighs

"alright then. this one will do"

you walk into school take of your coat and hat and sit down in your seat. you're early so there is almost no one. you open your book and start reading.

Ruby walks in and sits next to you.

"hi y/n, oh wow you look great!"

"thanks you ruby but so do you"

"wanna hang out after school?" she asks with a smile.

"oh I already have plans"

"dress orders?"

"uhm no I uhm... I'm going to drink tea with Gilbert." you say and Ruby frowns.

"is that why you're all dressed up?" Ruby asks in an angry tone.

"no I-"

"are you wearing makeup!?" ruby looks at you with fire in her eyes.

"just a little but I di-"

"I have dibs!" she yells before storming off.

stupid dibs. He doesn't even like her.

"what was that all about?" Diana asks sitting next to you.

"oh y/n! why are you all dressed up?" she asks causing you to blush.

"I'm not!" you say frustrated.

"hey y/n" you freeze. that's Gilbert. you turn around.

"h-hi" you send hin a smild.

"I'm looking forward to tea this afternoon" he says with a smile on his face and a blush on his cheeks.

"me too" you say as you feel your cheeks heat up as well. you turn to Diana as Gilbert takes his seat.

"that's why" you say smiling

Diana giggles. "you guys would make a cute couple"

"thank you I guess"

after school you see Gilbert waiting for you outside.

"hello mr blythe" you say smiling

"hello miss, are you ready?" he asks grinning.

"Yes I am" you say as you chuckle.

you walk through the forest on your way to his house.

he's smiling the whole time. a few times you feel his hand brushing against yours.

"are we almost there yet?" you ask looking up at him.

"two more minutes I think." he says

"You look beautiful today... not that you didn't yesterday I mean you look beautiful everyday it's jus-"

"thank you gilbert" you say laughing

he smiles awkwardly and tries to hide how hard he's blushing. you smile to yourself.

"hello lovebirds" sebastian says when you two walk in. you feel yourself going red. again. you look at Gilbert and see he's blushing too.

Sebastian starts laughing "I'll leave you two alone then, I wanted to take a walk anyway" he says while walking out. you take if your coat and Gilbert takes it hanging it up.

"so uhm.. how are you?" you ask wondering if he's doing better after his travels.

"I'm doing fine I guess" he says while making tea.

"I imagine it must be hard coming back here after everything."

he freezes. "I'm fine" he turns around and pours some tea for the both of you. you can tell he's not fine.

"are you sure?" you ask frowning.

"yes" he says annoyed.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to upset you"

"it's alright" he says and looks at you. he sees your concerned expression and gives you a light smile.

you smiled back and sat down.

You had a great time with Gilbert and time flew by, he told you everything that happened his last weeks and his reason for wanting to become a doctor.

"good evening" sebastian says walking in. "oh hello y/n still here? " your eyes widened. "evening?" you asked while standing up and looked for a clock. "the last train is leaving in five minutes!" you yell grabbing your coat and hat and running towards the door.

"y/n wait!"

you turn around.

"Gilbert I have to go"

"you'll never be in time even if you go by horse. you can stay here tonight" gilbert says.

"but uhm... I don't have an extra room. but m-my bed it's big enough for two p-people. I could also sleep on the floor if th-"

"thank you Gilbert, and I'm not letting you sleep on the floor." you said smiling and taking off your coat again. "so.. what's for dinner" you ask chuckling.

"that's a surprise" sebastian replies.

"Dinner was absolutely delicious Sebastian" you say cleaning the table.

"thank you y/n"

"what are you doing?" Gilbert asks.

"I'm cleaning the table" you say a little confused.

"you're a guest. just make yourself at home in the living room and I'll clean this up" gilbert says smiling.

"alright then" you say putting down the plates in the sink and walking towards the living room.

You open your bag and work on a dress order that's almost finished. you're making a few flowers around the bottem.

"are you really working right now?" Gilbert asks laughing.

"it doesn't feel like working to me" you say continuing.

"it's something I love to do"

"you're good at it" he says sitting down next to you.

"thank you, I've had lots of practice" you chuckle. "it's also the way I keep myself alive."

Gilbert frowns. "how so?"

"well I live on my own now and without my shop I wouldn't have money to feed myself"

"don't you ever get stressed out?" Gilbert asks a worried expression on his face.

"sometimes"

after a few hours of working and talking you decide to go to bed.

you slept in your dress because you obviously didn't bring your night gown to school. you laid down on one side of the bed facing Gilbert. "goodnight Y/n" he said as ge smiled at you. "goodnight Gilbert" you said closing your eyes and almost Immediately dozing off.
