In the short span of 30 minutes I took a shower, put on some make up on, and put on my beautiful dress. When I was about to step out, I heard Michael faintly talking to someone. He sounded a bit irritated and after a few minutes he said the devil's name.

"Cindy, why are you calling me?!...... Leave me alone!.... I'm tied up in a business trip... its not like that ... that's in the past now... I told you that's not my problem.... Fine when I get to the city I'll see you at the house" he said and then stopped talking.

I just stood there listening. I didn't know what I was suppose to do. I wanted to ask a million questions like: Why are you talking to that crusty STD bitch? Why are you gonna meet her at your house? What the fuck you plan on doing with her at said house? What the hell is not your problem? But I decided against my urge.

I wasn't really with him. I was basically a burden that he had to stuck with for 10 months. I shouldn't really care...... So why did I?

After 15 minutes of standing by the door, I casually stroked out into the living. I saw Michael frantically shut off his phone and then looked at me like he was gonna have a panic attack.

"Hey" I said cheerfully as I walked in front of him. He wasn't in a happy mood obviously.

Who would want to take to Cindy's diseased filled ass?

"You look nice" he said with a small genuine smile.

"Thank you. Hey quick question, we're on the phone earlier or was Martin in here?" I blunted and then I bit my lip.

Why can't I keep my mouth closed?

"Um... no why" he said a little confused as though he didn't know what I was talking about. This felt kinda of like how Adam would lie to me.

Jackasses

"I just thought I heard you talking to someone" I said simply as I shrugged my arms.

"Well... if I was... it wouldn't be your business" he said. That statement sliced through my heart. I felt the same pain as a grown man getting pinched in the nipples.

"Yea of course." I said as I pushed the water works back. I don't know why I was feeling this. I should expect it. The most important people in my life have hurt me, so this should have been like nothing. I should be cut off from hurtful emotions. But I wasn't.

I guess I got too distracted in my thoughts because Michael had to clear his throat to get my attention "I'll go get dressed and then we can get going." he said and went off into the room.

I needed to get my head out of the clouds's. Happy endings didn't come around for me. Only misery.

After an hour in the bathroom and another hour in the room, Michael was finally ready.

The rest of the time was dedicated to Michael trying to decide whether to let me leave the house in the dress he got me. I had no problem with it but he took 20 minutes fighting with himself and on the ride there, he was regretting his decision.

When we were in front of the building Michael snapped at himself, "I shouldn't have let you leave the house with that dress."

"You're the one who got it for me and besides you wasted enough time as it is. You already wasted at least 45 minutes or more. Now let's go." I snapped.

"Are you giving me an order?" he hissed.

"Might as well" I said casually tried to walk inside but he grabbed my arm.

"You're the most irritating woman I have ever met" he said in a rasp voice.

"Thank you sweetie" I said with a smirk and he just rolled his eyes. We stood by the doors for a while until Gordon Clarence popped up in front of us.

"Jeanette, you came. You look ravishing" he said with lust in his eyes. He looked like wanted to pounce on me right then and there. Then I glanced at Michael and he looked like he was going to knock Gordon out. I grabbed his hand and pulled him close. He seemed to think that wasn't enough because he dropped my hand and tightly wrapped his arm around my waist.

"Gordon you look great." I said as I looked over him. He was wearing a navy blue suit and his hair looked like it had 10 layers of gel.

"Thank you Kitty" Gordon said as he attempted to grab my hand for whatever reason but Michael slapped it and then growled. Standing next to him was like being close to a bear that was very irritated.

"Remember what I said Clarence. Back the hell off my wife" Michael growled and then clung onto me tighter. His hands were digging in to my hip painfully but I endured it. I was going to slapped it away when creeper was gone.

"Of course. Of course. I hope to see you later" Gordon said and with that he walked off in a hurry. That man was going to be a problem. I could feel my bones chatter when he left. And my skin cling when he said kitten.

When Gordon was out of sight I pulled Michael's limb off me discreetly.

"Why'd you do that?" Michael snapped.

"You fingers were digging into my bones. I'm not going to suffer because of your jealously." I hissed.

"I was trying to protect you" Michael said defensively.

"I can handle myself" I argued.

"You just love being difficult" he said irritated.

In a matter of seconds after he said that, an elderly couple was standing in front of me and Michael. We put on our smiles and looked at them.

"Mr. Shaw" the elderly man with the beige suit said.

"Mr and Mrs Johnson. Nice to see you." Michael address the two people. They looked at me with curiosity and examined me for a long time until the woman spoke.

"Michael, who is this?" the woman said in a plain voice.

"Johnson's this is my wife, Jeanette" he said cheerfully.

"Why weren't any of your colleges invited to this wedding?" the woman said sadly.

"It was a small wedding" he explained.

"Where's your ring, beautiful?" the woman asked.

"It's-" Michael was about to say but Mrs. Johnson interrupted.

"Why can't your wife answer a question?" Mrs. Johnson said with a raised eye and than her piercing gaze was on me.

"She can-" Michael said and was about to say more but the old lady intervened.

"Then let her" The old lady snapped with a smile.

"Sweetie, Where's your ring?" the old lady said and pointed to my plain hand.

"Its getting engraved. Michael wanted to make it more special. I told him I loved it as it is but he insisted." I lied with a sweet smile.

"And the wedding?" the old woman urged me to go on.

"The wedding was lovely. Although it wasn't as extravagant as the Kardashian's I was surrounded by the people I love and the man I love. I wouldn't trade that experience for the world" I said and glanced up at Michael.

"That's precious. Michael I'm so happy you traded up from that Cindy girl." the old woman snapped with a sour face when she said Cindy's name.

"Carla" Mr. Johnson said sharply.

"It's fine Mr. Johnson. I've happily moved on." Michael said in reassuring tone.

"So when will you start having kids?" Mr. Johnson said and then I started to choke on air. They looked at me with concern while Michael just patting my back and laughed nervously while doing so.

"Um we're just taking it slow" Michael said through his nervous laughs.

"No sooner time like the present" The old woman said and with a smirk.

"Don't worry. You only have to wait a little while over a year " I lied as I cleared my throat.

"And will you be staying at home to take care of them?" the woman asked me.

"Well work is very important to me " I said.

"But what kind of mother would you be if you aren't there for your children's life? For most of our marriage I stayed home to watch the children grow while Fisher worked. It's our duties as mother to let the men be men. They are suppose to work and then come home to an orderly house that you provide." she said.

I never liked that system of things. I like to work. I like to go places. Hell I was barely at home as it is. I'm not a house wife. I'm not the maid. I'm not the cook. The cleaner. We should share the responsibilities.

"We're still trying to work that out, but don't worry " Michael answered for me because he saw I was taking too long to answer.

"So Jeanette do you have any names that you like? " the old man questioned.

"Josephine's a nice name" I said off the top of my head.

"What about you Michael?" the old man said. I looked and him and saw him trying to think. Then he spoke.

"Giovanni" he said.

That name wasn't half bad.

"Such beautiful names" the old woman said with a warm smile.

"We'll let you get on to the rest of the people. Can we just ask you one last question?" the old man said.

"Of course" I said.

"What your name Sweetie?"

"Jeanette Shaw" I said proudly. And then they wondered off as old people do.

"How did you come up with all that last minute?" Michael said and looked at me.

"Eh I've had to lie my way out of a lot of things." I said amused by his curiosity.

"How would I tell if your lying?" he said with a raised eyebrow.

"I can't give away all my secrets" I said with a playful smirk and then started to walk over to the bar with Michael trailing.

"Do not get drunk" Michael said before I even told the bartender my order.

"I never get drunk" I gasped dramatically.

"That's definitely a lie" Michael scoffed and I rolled my eyes. I was only able to have two drinks and they were very small. I wasn't even tipsy. I needed at least wanted 8 drinks to feel something. But noooo.

"I'm going to the restroom" I sighed as I got up and took my wallet. I got to the bathroom and it was empty. I guess fancy woman don't use bathrooms at parties. When I was finished with my business I went out and there was the creeper.

Gordon Clarence.

"I'm going to pretend that you didn't come here for some type of sinister purpose and ask you a very innocent question. What are you doing in here?" I said calmly as I stayed where I was. I wasn't going to afraid of him. Why should I?

"I came here for paper towels" he said and then started walking towards me.

"Is there not paper towels in the men's bathroom?" I said with a raised eyebrow.

"This one just feels like a better atmosphere" he said.

"Well I'll leave you to it." I said and then started to walk around him but he caught my wrist and slammed me to the sink.

"So how's you and Michael?" he whispered.

"This is highly inappropriate. Please back away from me before I scream bloody murder " I snapped and tried to push him off me but he wouldn't move. I was tempted to punch him right there and then.

"You're not fooling anyone" he hissed.

"What?" I said as I stomped on his foot and broke away from him.

"We all know your only with Michael for his money" he groaned as he sunk in the pain from his foot.

"Can't I make my own?" I snapped.

"Gold diggers like you don't even know what real work is" he spat.

"And you do real work? All you do is sleep at work." I laughed bitterly.

"I would never Bitch." he growled.

"Your file begs to differ. But whatever I must get back to my gold digger ways and be with my husband." I said with smirk and turned around to leave but he grabbed me again and slammed me harshly against a wall now.

"You know... just because your a gold digger doesn't mean your not any fun" he said in a husky voice.

"Ew get the fuck off me." I said as I tried to pry him off me.

"Such a shame I couldn't have you first. I would have given you so much more money." he whispered in my ear "But I'll make up the time."

"Who gives a damn about money? Get away or I'll cut you jackass" I yelled.

"I wouldn't do that. I'm in business with your husband. Cross me and I will ruin you along with him. Now give me what I want and I will be on my way." he growled.

"I think my husband would understand and by the way your breath smells like fish." I said disgusted.

"Come on baby" he purred and his hands started to travel.

"Stop touching me" I said agitated.

"Shut up" he hissed and slammed his lips on mine but I bite his lower lip. He pushed me away and then punched me in the face. I fell to the floor. His ring cut my cheek. Then he punched me in the chest and the air in my lungs left. I coughed up blood.. I started to feel dizzy but I couldn't let him win.

"Ok I'll just have to make this a quickie" he said and then grabbed me but I punched him in the gut and then in the groin. He collapsed on the floor and started crying I kicked him in the stomach and that caused him to groan even louder.

"Bitch" he said and then I punched him in the head a couple of times.

"I'm not the one crying asshole" I said and then spat my blood on him.

As I walked outside I was holding my chest and clinging to the walls. It felt like I was dying but I've had worst. I meet Michael in the little hall that was there. He looked at me with wide eyes.

"What happened to you?" he said with concern as he ran over to me. When I was in his arms my legs gave way.

"I ran into... a door" I struggled to say but it was very hard.

"How the fuck-" he started to say and then stopped himself. His gaze was in the path were I just came from. I think he was about to go over there but I grabbed his coat and made him look at me.

"Take me.... to the... fucking... hospital" I struggled to say and then coughed up more blood.

"Okay Jeanette. I got you. I'll call an ambulance." he said and took out his phone with one hand and dialed 911. There was a crowd gathered when I was being situated into my gurney. Then before I knew it they put me in the ambulance and we were on our way to the hospital. My vision kept blurring. They had put a thing on my mouth to help me breathe but it wasn't helping.

"I'm... going... to.. sleep" I said to the paramedic and almost fell asleep but he spoke sharply.

"No no. You go into a comma. Stay awake" he commanded as he was watching my vitals.

"But I'm tired" I whined.

"Jeanette, just stay awake" Michael told me and then took my hand to stroke it.

"How?" I said through droopy eyes.

"Ask me anything you want" he said and snapped his fingers so my eyes were alert again.

"This is... bullshit... but ok... what's your... favorite color?" I said with my weak voice.

"Such a generic question" Michael said uninterested.

"Its the only one... I have on my mind" I said with a fate smile.

"Purple" he said softly.

"What did you... want to be... when you were a kid?"

"A vet"

"You like animals?" I said surprised.

"Yea. I had a few of them growing up."

"What season do you like?"

"Winter. Better to freeze than to die of heat stroke in my opinion" he said causally and that caused me to laugh.

"Your so stupid. What's your favorite gaming console?" I said.

"Xbox one"

"I see we're rivals... I'm all for Playstation 4" I said with a smirk and the the paramedic had to interrupt things.

"Ok time to go." he said and the started moving my bed. He put a couple of wires on me and then the doctor came inside to examine me. When he was done he was just writing or rather scribbling on his clipboard.

"Can I sleep now?" I said softly.

"No ma'am" the doctor said.

"Damn you all." I said agitated. I wanted sleep. Fuck them all.

"Mrs. Shaw, we'll need you to stay over night" he said.

"Doc, your killing me" I sighed.

"It's risky for you to sleep right now. Mr. Shaw can you ensure she stays wake?" the doctor said.

"Will do doctor." Michael said and then the doctor left the room. I hate doctors. Once he left my phone started to ring.

"My phone. She's ringing get her from my bag." I said her a groggy voice. I looked at Michael and he was searching through my bag.

"Jeanette, why do you have all this shit in here?" he said as he was still trying to look for my phone.

"It's not shit." I said defensively.

"You have clothes, food, make up, a spoon, hair stuff and fucking gun." he said. When he said the gun part I don't know if he was shocked or he thought I was crazy.

"All mafia people need guns." I sighed.

"Here" he said as he handed my the phone.

"Thank you chuckles" I said with a smirk and I clicked the green button.

"Hello what is it?" I said.

"Madame Jeanette we found your sister and your nephew" Gary said out of breath.

"Really how?" I said surprised and my eyes flung open. I would have also sat up but... well you know.

"He was hiding her in France and that is why we weren't able to find them" he said.

"Thank you Gary. Can you do this mission without me and get them or do I need to be there? I'm kind of tied up at the hospital right now." I said.

"Madame, are you alright?" Gary asked.

"Of course. I just got into a little... 'incident'" I said and I felt Michael starring at me.

"We can do it. Where would you like for us to bring her?" he asked.

"I'll text you the address to the hospital I'm at. She will probably need to be looked at." I said.

"Alright we will take her and bring her to you" he said and then shut the phone.

"Mafia stuff I'm assuming" Michael asked.

"Yes. I wish I wasn't in this hospital. I would have gone" I said sadly.

"Well if you ever did go I would come too." He said and I looked at him. I think he was being sincere.

"No Michael. You don't have the experience. It would have been too dangerous for you" I scowled.

"As your husband it's my job to protect you" he said.

"Michael, have you ever gotten into a fight?" I asked amused.

"Once"

"Exactly"

"How about you?"

"Let's just say I have a lot of experience."

"Well if you have so much experience why don't you teach me?" he suggested.

"I would kick you flat ass Michael" I giggled.

"I'm a lot stronger than you." Michael said.

"You will learn that strength isn't the only thing you rely on" I said with a smirk. And then it was silent.

"Michael if I ask you any question will you answer it?"

"Yes" he said softly.

"Truthfully?" I asked.

"Just ask me" he sighed.

"Why do you keep calling me your wife if this marriage is fake? I mean we only got married for business deal. For me to have a child with you. I don't know if I can give you that. And even if I did... I don't think if I could be a good mother." I said and focused my eyes to my sheets.

"Why not?"

"I'm screwed up and don't want someone to be mentally deranged like me. I think you married the wrong person to carry your child." I said.

"A child. No child. I still made the right choose. You taught me something very important. I would follow you to hell and back" he said as his hand end to my chin so I could look at him.

"What have I taught you exactly?" I said confused.
