《The CEO's Shy Girl (Editing)》#Shame

After running out of Mr.Shaw's house like madea running from the police. I went to my room and laid there. Most of my weekend was filled with tears and reading the freaking chapters again. The next morning, I was awaken by my shrieking alarm clock and instantly anxiety filled me. Facing Mr. Shaw today was going to be dreadful. I wasn't ready to face him but what else could I do. Quit? Spending my two years in that hell hole to only quit at the end was not an option. I wasn't gonna be a coward and give up my last year. With a long sigh, I got off my bed and did what I had to do to get ready for work.

When I got inside, the first thing I heard was Mr. Shaw screaming out my name. It was angrier than usual. As if he was a rabid dog trying to hunt my ass down.

"MS.PETERSON! MS.PETERSON!" Mr. Shaw shouted as he roamed around the office looking for me.

Thank god there was only a few people inside the office. This would have been more embarrassing. When he spotted me at the door, he stopped right in his tracks. He reached up to straighten his tie and took a step to be closer to me.

"Ms. Peterson, I need you in my office ASAP. I have some pressing matters to discuss with you." he said professionally.

Without waiting for my response, he turned around and I followed him into his office. I stood at the door like usual and he took a seat on his "throne".

"Actually Ms. Peterson, You should sit down... just this one time" he said with a fake smile.

"Are you sure sir?" I said hesitantly, in case it was another trick again. The dick pulled the same stunt on my the first day working for him.

" SIT DOWN MS. PETERSON! ARE SO INCOMPETENT THAT YOU WOULD HAVE ME REPEAT SUCH SIMPLE DIRECTIONS?" he yelled irritated as he slammed his fist on the desk making me flinch. I wasn't very good at handling someone yelling at me.

"Ss-o s-sorry sir" I stutter nervously as I rushed to the freaking chair in front of his desk to sit down. As I made my advances toward the chair his eyes were staring at me. So I put my face down but then he started to snap his fingers to draw my attention toward him.

Wish I could snap his neck, I thought as I pulled my head away from the shiny floor to look at him.

For some reason his harsh eyes kept staring into mine and he didn't speak at all. After a while, it was making me very uncomfortable, so I started to shift in my seat a little. After he was done staring, he picked up a pencil from his desk.

"Ms. Peterson... did you attend a club Friday night? " Mr. Shaw said bluntly as he focused his eyes on his twirling pen.

"No" I said trying not to show that I was lying. But then again people always think I'm lying.

"Well, I just ask because when I went to a club Friday night...there was a girl who looked an awful lot like you. She was dancing on one of the tables at a bar with a bra on as a top" he said focusing his narrowing eyes on me now.

"Is that question really appropriate to ask in the work place sir?" I said confused.

"I'm not sure? Is it Ms. Peterson?" he said a little sarcastically.

"Well... since you are not sure, I will be on the safe side and not answer it sir" I said hoping to get a positive response for what I said.

"Very well. Get out now and take the next piece of work that I have for you." he coldly said as clenched his jaw and slammed the pencil this time. I walked out of the office with my next assignment in hast.

Why didn't God answer my prayer about Mr. Shaw getting attacked by a bear? I thought to myself while I closed the door behind me. I walked to my desk and started on the next thing he made me do.

All through out the day he would walk pass my desk and keep glancing at me. I was very confused because he would rarely ever leave his office. He remained in his little room until night fall and that's why I enjoyed most about my day. I would only see him once or twice a day. Granted they were mostly of him insulting me but eh. When it was my time to go, I told him I was leaving he said okay. Inside I was shocked because he never says anything when I leave, but I hid this and left.

Maybe he got fixed? I thought but then again I don't think you can fix people. Or can you?

As soon as I got home, I went straight to the kitchen to change out of my work attire. For work I mostly wore a bun to hide my purple ends, long dress pants, a dress shirt and a blazer. I wasn't the prettiest but I knew how to get the job done. I let my hair down and changed into a tank top and shorts.

Then I went to kitchen as took out a box of pasta and a pot. When I put the water in the pot, I immediately put in the pasta and waited for it to be tender enough. I grabbed the pot by its handle in one hand and grabbed the strainer in the other. I put all the pasta in the strainer and waited till all the water cleared out. Then I heard a very firm knock on the door.

Since I wasn't expecting anyone to come, I was quite curious. I went over to the door to open it and what stood in front of me was a lot to take in.

"Ms. Peterson" Mr. Shaw said formally fixing his tie. He was in his fancy suit with his hair still slicked back,. Hhis facial expression looked like he was trying to contemplate his next step.

I stood their in silence, which irked him. His expression changed to something rather harsher as the minutes drew on.

"Are you going to invite me in or you just gonna stand their looking like a fat cow" he said with a hard tone.

"What are you doing here?" I said quietly and calmly. Losing my shit on the boss is the last thing I wanted to do right now.

"Well..." he said sliding past me to go inside.

"The question I asked you earlier wasn't very appropriate for the office, but we aren't in the office now. Answer it."

I looked at him confused as he walked over to sit on my couch. His looked around my place and his face held disgust.

"By the way, where did the smell on this couch come from? It smells as horrible and vulgar as you." He said with a scrunched up nose.

"What was the question?" I said, ignoring his previous statement, and narrowing my eyes. I sat on another piece of furniture sitting as far away from him as possible.

"Did I tell you to sit down?" he questioned.

"This is my house Mr. Shaw. So please can we get to the point?" I sighed.

"Did I sense a hint of disrespect? Because I am still your superior and you under no circumstances can talk back to me. Understood. You are an insignificant piece of shit that should have been flushed down the toilet." he said sternly through gritted teeth and maybe with some streaming coming out of his ears.

"Mr.Shaw" I started to say before I gulped down all the emotions I was feeling.

"With all due respect, I didn't mean to give you attitude in anyway. But showing up at my house for something other then work is a bit unorthodox. Dont you think?"

"Answer the question" he said shortly.

"Which was..." I said.

"Were you the girl that was at that club?" he spat as he clenched his fist.

"I'm not sure what you're talking about" I said quietly.

"Tell me or you don't come into work tomorrow" he said furiously as he stood up.

"Firing someone for no reason is kinda of illegal" I contradicted in the same calming tone.

"Do you think I give a shit about what is legal or not?" he said in a deadly voice.

"Well I'm sorry but-" I started but was cut off by his bratty little voice.

"Tell me damn it" he said outraged.

And people say I have a temper, I thought.

"Why do you care if I was at a club?" I said.

"Because I think I did something with you. And I wanted to make sure that you got a message across that penny sized brain of yours" he yelled.

"Which is..." I said.

I'm so surprised that I've remained so calmly through out this whole conversation. By now I would have cursed at him and kicked him out.

"I don't like you and whatever we did was nothing but a mistake. Just like the first day I hired you was the mistake. Just like your parents having you was a mistake. I curse God because he sent you to that interview." he said getting all up in my damn face.

"Well thank you for the pleasant statements and kind words. I'll gladly remember them." I said.

"You're welcome" he said with an evil smirk "Well I'll just go now. See you at work tomorrow."

"Yes sir" I said as I watched him chuckle all the way to the door and leave.

Home invasion?

The only thing that came to my head was think calmly think calmly. I breathed through my nose as best as I could but my calming method was failing me. I didn't know what was happening, I was crying and hyperventilating and feeling dizzy at the same time.

"THAT POMPOUS, ARROGANT, SON OF A EVIL, UGLY, ASS BITCH." I shouted at the top of my lungs. I walked to my room slammed the door. I picked up a pile of darts from my night stand and started throwing them at my dart board. I missed one and it ended up in the freaking wall like last time.

"Damn it." I said rubbing my hands on my face. Suddenly my phone went off in my pocket and I picked it up.

"Hello?" I said trying to calm my voice.

"Hi Jeanie. Its Monica" she said all cheery.

"Oh hi Monica, how are you?" I said in a light voice.

"Good um... can you come in a little earlier today? I have some work things I have to do at the office" she said.

"Yeah, sure thing. I'll be right over" I said.

"Thank you" and then she ended the call.

I went to the bathroom to wash my face from all the tears and try to cool face. Then I left my house.

"Hi Monica" I said when she opened the door.

"Hi Jeanie, how are you?" she said reaching to hug me.

"I'm good. So... is their some trouble at your job?" I asked.

"Actually yes. Word of advice, don't hire idiots" she chuckled a little.

"Ms. Petie" Carly squealed and hugged me.

"Hey Carly, What's up?" I said laughing. ugh this little girl always knows how to lighten my mood.

"Just waiting for my favorite tutor" she said.

"Eh, I'm kind like a babysitter" I teased.

"I told you not to call yourself that! I'm not a baby" she whined.

"Of course you aren't." I said and tapped her nose.

"So, what's on the agenda today?" I said.

"Some math and this really big project for history" she sighed.

"What's the project?" I said raising my eyebrow.

"I have to make a poster about unit three for class. My uncle, Momo, said he would help me but he's always working" she said the last part with a pout.

"Aw Sweetie, I think if he could, he would help you with whatever you needed" I said.

"Yeah I know" she said sadly.

"So when are you gonna visit him?" I said curious. This girl worshiped her uncle Momo. He was the main person she would talk about and the way she described him made him sound like a super hero for her.

"Well, my mommy said that for the coming break I would go to his house" she said with a huge grin on her face,

"Well that's good huh. You get to be with him all break" I said.

"Yea and you too" she said even happier.

"Wait what?" I said confused.

"My mommy says that you'll come with me and my uncle on our get away and don't worry we're gonna have so much fun hahaha" she said.

"Yay I'm so excited" I said, pretending to be happy.

"And your gonna love uncle Momo. He's the nicest guy you'll ever meet" she said.

"Well I can't wait to meet him" I said excited.

We worked on her math for like 30 minutes and she was getting a bit better on the new concept. Then we worked on her project for a little while and then decided to regroup until after her vaction.

"Jeanie I'm home" Monica called from downstairs.

"Mommy" Carly said running downstairs.

"Hello baby girl! How was spending time with Ms.Petie?" Monica asked.

"Great! We talked about the vacation we're going on" she said.

"Okay Sweetie. Can I talk to Ms.Petie for a second?" she said stroking her said and Carly left.

"Look Jeanie I'm sorry I didn't tell you about that before I left" she said sincerely.

"Its fine but I don't think if I can go" I said crossing my arms.

"Of course you can. Don't worry about the money its all payed for" she said trying to assure me.

"But why would I be going?" I asked.

"Because your a good person that Carly loves and her uncle will be working from time to time" she said.

"Well, okay if you insist. When are we leaving?" I asked.

"At the end of the week" She said.

"Okay" I said and we both said out goodbyes and I went home.
