He leaned against the wall, all his strength and courage drained from him. His eyes were haunted as they travelled down to the spots of blood on his shirt.
"Its all your mistake. My sister is there because of you."
"Shut up! It isn't his fault that she took the bullet meant for him."
The two boys standing infront of him were arguing but he couldn't understand. There were people talking but he couldnt hear them. His eyes fixed at the door of the emergency room where his Sofia was. His Sofia who he always took for granted. He'll never be able to forget the visual of watching her getting shot.
Two hours passed and still no news. There were several doctors inside the emergency room trying to bring his Sofia back to health.
"Mr Maxwell," he jumped up at the sound of his name. He saw the doctor standing in front of him.
"She's alive.." The doctor took deep breathe before continuing, "The bullet didn't hit any vital organs but it did a big damage to her ovary." The doctor explained Brandon.
"I am afraid, Mr Maxwell. We had to perform the unilateral salpingo-oophorectomy in emergency." The doctor said.
"It is the removal of the fallopian tube and ovary." Brandon stood straighter he didn't like where this conversation was going. "She can probably still have kids in future but the chances are lower." Brandon couldn't say anything, he lost the ability to speak.
"Hey, she's alive. Doctor, Any other damage?" Xavier patted Brandon's shoulder as he asked the doctor.
"No! I must say your wife is very lucky, Mr Maxwell. She's in ICU right now when she wakes up you can meet her." Brandon drew in a deep breathe as the doctor left. At least his Sofia is alive.

"Princess,"
"Princess,"
Two voice said together as Sofia looked upto see two women standing together giving her the loving smile.
"Mama," She claimed as she ran into the arms of blonde women.
"Sofia," The women hugged her back.
"I have always hid this from you but look at that woman," The blonde girl said pointing at the brunette. Sofia looked at her waiting for her to continue, "She is your real mommy." Tears welled in Sofia's eyes as she took in the feature of brunette lady. She looked exactly like Sofia.
"Come here, my princess." The lady said softly.
Sofia went towards the brunette lady.
"I've always wanted to meet you." She kissed Sofia's head.
"You're so beautiful." The lady said. But Sofia remained quiet.
"Its time for you to go back, go to your Brandon. He's waiting for you." The brunette said.
"Brandon doesn't love me." Sofia told her.
"This isn't true. Brandon loves you and right now all he needs is you beside him. Now go!"
Slowly opening her eyes, Sofia scanned the dim room she was in. Her lips were ragged and cracked, mouth dry and throat sore. She could hear the sound of beeping from the near table and then remembered everything.
A shadow came in her view and she blinked several times trying to clear her vision.
Brandon sat on the chair beside her bed, taking her hand into his. "You're alive." He said to himself.
"My Sofia, my princess, my everything." He whispered before planting a sweet kiss on her hand.
A sob escaped her lips as her shoulder shook with force of her crying, "What happened, baby? Are you in pain?" Brandon asked in the softest voice he could.

"I met her." Sofia said her voice barely a whisper.
"Who?"
"Mama.... my... my... re..al real mama." Sofia said.
"She's dead. They both are dead. I am alone."
"I am alone. They left me alone. He will come back to get me. He will beat me to death."
"He is a monster. He is not my... father.... my father is dead...."
"Save me! Take me away." Her eyes pleaded Brandon.
"Why couldn't I just die?" She said, her voice bearly a whisper. He wrapped his hands around her as she buried her face into his chest, mumbling, "She said you love me."
The words left her mouth as I remained quiet and hugged her closer. Now is not the best time to tell her how much I love her.
I know I have hurt her and that's something I must live with every day but I have made my mind I won't rest till I make everything right.
"I need some rest." She said as she laid back on the pillow.
Sofia P.O.V.
They are better off without me. This world is better without me. No one would care. No one cares anyways.
Taking deep breathe I dialed his number, "Hello!" He answered the phone.
"Can you do a favour to your sister?" I asked.
"Sofia? Why are you calling me? Are you ok? I am coming to see you."
"I am ok. Now can you do me a favour?" I asked again.
"What kind of favour do you want me to do?" He asked.
"I dont want to live here anymore." I told him.
"Where do you want to go?" He asked.
"Away from America,"
