《WANDS AND SPELLS | VKOOK ✓》52 | way to the tunnel

"Dad, are you okay?"
Taehyung mumbled slowly rubbing his thumb against his father's cheek who passed out in the middle of their conversation as they were searching for the secret chambers. It was very sudden when it happened and they all were worried.
However seeing him slowly opening his eyes after two minutes of pause, they all breathed in relief. All the professors plus the guards were helping them find the chambers because they all wanted to stop whatever Jonhan was doing and also Jeongguk was their favourite boy. Hearing what was in store for him, they had to help.
Some students also joined while some hid in their dorms. Not their fault, they were too scared and it was actually normal cause no one knows what's gonna happen on the way to find Jeongguk.
While Taehyung and Yoongi stayed with the unconscious man, the others kept on searching for the chambers from the information Taehyung had on it. He could only tell them a vague description of it from the night Jeongguk brought him here but they left midway.
"Taehyung," his father mumbled looking up at the boy on whose thigh he was resting his head on. The spell the mage had on him and Jeongguk that night broke and he saw everything too. Finally he remembered what was forgotten long ago because of the spell. That night, it wasn't just Jeongguk who had a forgetting spell on him, Hansung got it too. The only one who survived was Haechul who left the place before he casted it upon them.
Haechul tried helping that time too but because of the spell, no one remembered anything. They tried to deal it on their own not trying to drag anyone in this danger after whatever happened thirteen years ago.
When he saw that it was getting impossible to get to the mage and take the wand, he tried to kill Jeongguk in troll's garden that night. But what was Jeongguk's fault in all of these. Maybe if he killed the blond that night, all these couldn't have happened and everything would end then and there but could he ever forgive himself?
What would be the difference between him and Jonhan then? Killing the innocents, that's not who he was and he let Jeongguk go. Haechul never told this to anyone as he knew Taehyung would probably try to warn his boyfriend about it and then the game would be over. He didn't take a chance to tell that it all ends with Jeon Jeongguk. Only Yoongi knew.

"We have to hurry."
"What did you see, dad? Why are you so tensed?" Taehyung asked when his father pulled himself to his feet.
"So Jeongguk is the last stepping stone, Jonhan has to kill him to finish the ritual?" he asked Yoongi who hung his head low, this wasn't supposed to be out. They were supposed to stop him before this even happens. The father son duo never mentioned it to them and now it was nothing less than thunderbolt.
"What is dad saying, huh?" Taehyung grabbed the pale boy's collars and shouted those words out, "Is he gonna kill my Jeonggukkie?"
"If we don't stop him, yes." Yoongi answered and Taehyung punched him in the face, "The fuck! Why didn't you tell me earlier? Why didn't you warn him?"
"I tried, I told him. He didn't believe me," Yoongi didn't react to that punch because he felt like shit too for messing it up. Maybe he should've been more clear about it, maybe he should've told Taehyung about it.
"Tae, calm down. We can't waste time by fighting each other. We need to find him and stop him." Jimin hugged his best friend from behind that kind of calmed him down and as soon as he composed a little, he broke down in tears but no he didn't have time for weeping.
Jeongguk isn't dead yet and he will find him.
He will find his favourite person.
"He will take him to Teng forest, we must go there instead of wasting time here," Taehyung's dad suggested, "For the completion of the ritual, he needs to get there. Look at the moon, it's fully red. He already killed the other seven. He will eventually go there so we need to go immediately. Right now! We don't have time."
Teng forest, that's where it had to end because with that,
The veil will fall.
And when the veil is destroyed, the magic will be ended. All that remains is the dark and the evil lurking around Belfort.
The holes in the veil was due to the uses of dark magic that started years ago. All these time they were getting expanded and tonight, it's the end game.
With that, the boundaries between the other realms will be no more there. It will all be a single territory and Jonhan as the bait of the evil can do whatever he wants.

They need to protect Jeongguk as well as the veil.
"We can't get to the forest so easily. We have to cross the Jeeper's lane and you know they will not let us get through so easily," Jimin reminded.
"We can get through the chambers. The mage surely has as tunnel which he used to travel there, we need to get to that," Namjoon who was observing everything and hearing out everything said and they all agreed because this makes sense and probably the only way to get there faster and safely.
"But we are not getting it." Taehyung was again crying, he couldn't stop his tears. It was as if all the paths go save his boyfriend were closing and he will never be able to forgive himself if something happens to him.
He will rather die than letting the other die.
"How do—" his sentence was interrupted when one student shouted from a little distance, "I found it."
With no words exchanged, they all ran to where the boy was and saw him slowly opening the door to the secret chambers that was hidden on the golden wall with a sign of a snake on it. This part of the campus was pretty isolated and no one ever gave a thought about this.
They all barged in and saw the horrific scene. Seven people dead and covered in blood in the middle of the chamber with candles around. No sign of Jeongguk or the mage.
Yoongi was slowly walking and his eyes searched for a certain something, something that wasn't an object nor a human, something in between, an entity which he believed was there. The chamber was huge and had multiple corners. While the others were trying to find the portal to the forest, he took a turn right and to one of the corners.
There she was.
"Mom," Yoongi muttered under his breath seeing the transparent blue figure sitting there with her head hung low. She acknowledged his presence and smiled at him, the once little boy was now so grown up, the one she left behind was now a boy to be proud of but she couldn't speak.
Just like Susan, she had her mouth sealed with threads. She stood up immediately and pointed at the ground below her. Without a word, Yoongi started pushing the soft soil away and as Jonhan didn't put much effort on burying her, he could easily find her skeleton under. With the slight sight of it, he pulled out all the strings and freed her mom.
"You've grown up so well, honey." she whispered.
Her heart broke when she couldn't wipe the tears running down her son's cheeks as her limb went through and in the other's skin. A huge sob leaving her lips consequently.
"I love you, mom." the teenaged boy whispered in the lowest tone ever, "I love you."
"My baby, I love you just as much, maybe more," she said and pulled out the ring that was nothing more than a hologram and pushed that against the other's skin immediately leaving a tattoo of a butterfly, just like the design on top of the ring.
It was her wedding ring, "Tell your dad, I love him."
"Let me call him—"
"I don't have time," she panted and Yoongi saw her slowly fading away. He tried to hold her hand but he couldn't. Jonhan, this bastard kept her in here for so long but now she was free.
Yoongi silently weeped to himself but still managed to smile softly when she looked at him one last time.
"Yoongi, what are you doing here?" Haechul finally got there after a minute and found his son crying all by himself. He noticed that tattooed butterfly on the crook of his neck and recognized what that was immediately, "You met her?"
"She said she loves you," the boy croaked out, hugging his father who kissed him on the tattoo and smiled to himself as her beloved wife was now freed, she wasn't a captive anymore. So what he couldn't see her once again but at least Yoongi did, he will now have her beautiful face imprinted on his mind map forever.
They stood there for a moment and the older man tried to calm the younger.
Until they heard someone shout,
"Found the tunnel!"

The Humble Life of a Skill Trainer
For Joshua Still, Skills were the lifeblood of his business. He wanted to understand them, collect many of them, and teach a few of them. Which was a problem because while his profession of a Skill Trainer was perfectly legal, it was frowned upon by most of the kingdom. After all, it wouldn't do for a non-tailor to teach Tailoring. Or, so says the Tailors Guild. The same could be said by the Blacksmiths, the Bakers, the Butchers, the Candlestick Makers, the Mages, and every other Guild with enough money and clout to complain. But still, Skill Trainers provide a valuable service, and so he has managed to start his business and keep it under the table. To a degree. With many a bribe. But his quiet anonymous life of research, practice, and training was about to change. When the Baron demands you pay him a visit, you have little choice.
