《WANDS AND SPELLS | VKOOK ✓》49 | the blood moon

Gorgeous soft music playing from the blond haired boy's phone while he slow danced with his boyfriend. His hands on his waist while Taehyung's hands on his shoulders. They didn't know why they were doing this but Jeongguk just wanted to after they apologized to each other. Probably he thought, this was a good way to start over again.
Taehyung closed his eyes, resting his head on the other's chest while they moved in sync. Instead of tuxedos and expensive perfume, they had pajamas and fruity soap fragrance but still, this was so special. Everything they did with each other was special.
"Are we doing this right?" Taehyung laughed not having one single clue on if this dance was even right that made the other giggle as well, "I don't know either and it doesn't even have to be right, it's just us and when it's us, everything is perfect."
"Motherfucker, that's so cute, shut up." Taehyung stopped and slowly stepped onto the other's feet consequently getting closer and hugging even tighter, "Saw this in a movie and wanted to try but do tell me if I hurt you."
"No, you won't." he whispered giggling in process when he couldn't do it but then Jeongguk held him firmly and helped him balance. If this wasn't love for Taehyung, he didn't know what was. All his life he wanted a nice relationship who he can do tooth rotting sweet stuff with, and guess what? He found it in no one other than Jeon Jeongguk, someone he used to hate. Funny how everything changed, surprising how he now feels so happy with him.
"Gguk," he almost let out a whisper and they stopped moving. They looked at each other's eyes and smiled, "Yeah?"
"You make me the happiest."
"Make happy in return then, kiss me—" Jeongguk wriggled his brows mischievously while the other rolled his eyes cupping his cheeks nevertheless. In a moment they pressed their lips together and Taehyung smiled into the kiss.
It was slow and composed, together they kissed in rhythm, nothing there to rush but Taehyung suddenly remembered how he was hiding things from the other, how he will react when he finds the truth out, things will be so hard for him.
For a moment, his focus slipped and Jeongguk noticing that he didn't kiss back that very moment pulled away, he was now worried what might be the reason behind this, "Tae, what happened?"

"Nothing, just, got distracted by some thoughts," Taehyung didn't lie and the other knitted his brows, "Is there something bothering you?"
"There are a lot of things happening, right so I am just so lost in between them, but let it go. All I want to focus right now is you baby," Taehyung smiled again hugging the other and the younger nodded, mentally deciding that he will not ask anything more, he will not stretch this matter and rather wait for him to open up on whatever that was.
That night when Taehyung hugged Jeongguk on his bed to sleep well, all he was reminded was how from tomorrow his boyfriend's father will just start killing people and he can't do anything about that.
He scooted closer and buried his face in th crook of Jeongguk's neck, trying to get rid of the guilt, this awful feeling that has been growing inside him.
"Is there something that's bothering you baby? Why do I feel like you are restless?" the blond asked, playing with the other's brown hair.
"Nothing, just tired but now that I am in your arms, everything is fine," with that cheesy line as a reply, he pulled his face up only to press their lips together. This kiss was for the sole purpose of distracting, he didn't want him to know anything, not even the slightest clue on any of this.

First ritual night and Taehyung wanted to cry and punch that monster but he can't do anything other than letting this happen. He doesn't have one single clue on who it might be that was the first target.
The thunders were rumbling, the sky was crying, seeking for help for the one who was offered to the evil that very moment. As if with every thunder, the surrounding asked mercy for the unfortunate one.
Jeongguk was hugging Taehyung and flinched every single time there was a flash in the sky. Little did he have one hint on what his father was and what he must be doing right now.
Night one.
"Look, the moon, is getting red—" the blond saw that first and pointed it out causing the older to look at it and he understood why a fraction of the big circular moon just turned red.
With every single night where one sacrifice will be made, the moon will turn even more red, it is what they call the blood moon.
"Why's that? Isn't this concerning?" Taehyung asked the other who knitted his brows, "Of course it is. I have never seen something like this, but remember the book Min Yoongi gave me? In some sort of ritual, there was the mention of the moon being red, it was termed as blood moon, I remember that clearly."

"Where's that book?"
"Dad took it from me, I didn't tell you but there were mentions of this ritual. With weird words like blood, gold and a promise. It was the ritual for being the shapeshifter," Jeongguk moved away from the other, still holding his hand just in case there were more flashes.
"All these was in the book Yoongi gave you?" Taehyung was the one to question and Jeongguk nodded, "Yes, he didn't actually give me, it was more like he helped me choose the book."
The brunet cannot help thinking about why would Yoongi do that? Why Jeongguk and why that book only? Was he trying to do something? And why didn't he tell him about this?
Questions clouded his mind as he stared at nothing in particular, "What was written in that, Gguk? Why is the moon red? What is blood moon exactly?"
"I can't recall everything but it's because of some sort of sacrifice to the evil, I don't know and baby why are you so tensed, what happened?" Jeongguk asked tightening his hold on the other's hands who quick stood up detaching them.
"Oh nothing happened. I was just curious but I am sure the mage will take of whatever this is, right?" Taehyung tried to look as calm as possible. He didn't know how to keep his cool. Yoongi didn't give him that book without a reason. Of course not, he did this for a reason and he needs to find that out, right now. What if they all are hiding something from him and what if Jeongguk was going to get hurt, he can't let it happen.
"Yes, he will and I am sure this isn't anything serious. Moreover dad even said that book was bullshit so? I will call dad and ask him what this is okay? You don't worry." Jeongguk smiled, nothing seemed impossible in their realm except from bringing someone or something back to life. A red colored moon was barely a minimum so he was the least worried.
"I am feeling tired, baby." Taehyung said and added,"Mind if I go and rest now?"
"The flashes, I am scared. Stay the night, please."
"You will be fine, Gguk. Trust me." he said and the younger knitted his brows at him. This was weird. Taehyung would never do that, he would not leave him alone knowing he is scared of those. There must be a reason he wanted to leave right now but he didn't let the other leave as he tightly grabbed his wrist stopping him in the middle.
"What's going on?" with a stern cold voice, he inquired. Taehyung didn't know what to do now.
"Wha-what?" he stammered.
"What are you hiding from me? This isn't you, you're behaving strange, tell me what this is all about," Jeongguk demanded an answer as his eyes bored into the other's. The older did not know how to tackle this situation right now and he promised to not tell Jeongguk about anything that might ruin it all for everyone.
But how will he ignore this?
He needs to say something.
Taehyung wasn't the only one in dilemma, there was someone else struggling on the other side of the campus and it was none other than Yoongi and his dad.
"You think this will work?" the boy asked his father who nodded. They were slowly walking to the bathroom where Susan is trapped.
"I tried to follow Jonhan to the secret chambers but he does that so hideously, I couldn't figure out where that is but you see the moon? It's red that means he is done for today, he will be out any moment and the teachers and staff are all here, they will be leaving in some moment so this is the best time," Yoongi's father explained and the younger one nodded.
The more early they do this, the less people die and this at this moment it seemed like the best option.
"You know what to do." he said and got in with his wand. They were super careful about not letting anyone spot them and as it wasn't class hours, it was easy for them to get in.
"If the explosion doesn't take the attention of much people, scream and let everyone know about this okay?" Haechul informed and patted his son's shoulders before pushing him away.
"We will end this today."

8 199My Isekai
For those not familiar with the isekai genera, this story is about a man waking up in an unknown world. The story follows his journey and life in this world, which does not only look different on the surface, but the common norms and values of this world are very alien to the modern western mindset. How will this average western person respond to such a world, and how will it change him. For those familiar with isekai, this is a western take on a predominantly Japanese story format. It draws a lot of inspiration from Japanese isekai, but it also tries to tackle a lot of tropes that might be annoying to the western mindset. The story is not written for young boys as the story tries to take a mature take on some typical clichés and assumptions made by both the typical writer and reader of the genera.
