《WANDS AND SPELLS | VKOOK ✓》43 | the worst father ever

Taehyung didn't know what he was doing.
He was in his house, searching for his father. After whatever happened last night, he can't just let this slide. He needs his answers before he gets paranoid.
"Where's dad?" he asked the moment his mom opened the door. It was almost evening and Jeongguk not sparing him one single glance during classes was killing him.
But oh well, didn't he do the same? He himself knew that whatever Jeongguk was doing, it was justified, it was valid because he knows how much he must have hurt him.
"Tae, you here? You didn't tell me you were coming." his mom asked making space for her son to get it and once he did, he asked again, "Where's dad?"
"In his study, what happened dear?" she asked and Taehyung just stared quiet making his way to the study, where his father was supposed to be.
At this point, he was tired of crying, he cried himself to sleep yesterday and today after the classes, he still did but couldn't muster the courage to call the other and say sorry.
Apology, he did think that it was useless now. Jeongguk made it so clear, things will not be like they used to be and the words from yesterday echoed inside his ear drums.
We were great until we lasted.
He asked Jimin what he should do but even his best friend didn't have an answer other than 'talk to him, he will understand'.
Time is all he had now. He can only hope that Jeongguk will be able to forgive him and everything might get back to how it was.
Taehyung ran to the room and opened the door, forgetting his etiquette about knocking before and got in.
"Taehyung," his father called standing up, ending the call abruptly that he was attending and looked up at his son.
"Did you do all these?" with tear filled eyes, the younger one asked, taking big steps ahead until he was just at a little distance from him.
"What do you mean?" he asked resting his phone on the table and folded his arms over his chest, "What are you talking about?"
"Jeongguk and me, did you try to create misunderstandings between us? Was it you?" the brunet questioned, watching his father through glassy eyes, the moisture blurring out his sight.

"What even? Why would you do that?"
"Because you can and probably want to? Dad, I don't see anyone other than you, you did this. Just tell the truth," he spoke, regret inside that he could have agreed to Jeongguk because he did this anyways. Then probably things wouldn't be this hard.
"Taehyung, where's your manners?" the man asked, looking over at his wife who was just as surprised and nervous as he was, "You don't know dad, how this is feeling. All I need is some answers."
"Whatever you are talking about son, I have no single clue on that," he said rubbing his palms together and looked away.
"You're lying. You might have never cared enough but me dad— I know about you, I know how you react when you're happy, I know it when you're angry and I know when you're lying. You're lying."
"Taehyung!" his mother called trying to stop him but no, he wasn't here to stop. He will get his answers.
Remorse is the worst feeling ever and he doesn't have anything left in him at the moment, all he wants is some answers.
"You're lying. You did." Taehyung said and his father glared at him.
"I wasn't the one to do that."
"I had enough of this bullshit! Don't play games with me dad, you didn't do that but you told someone to do it, didn't you?" Taehyung asked and that very second, he froze in his spot.
"You did, oh my God. Dad, do you even know how much I fought Jimin, even Jeongguk to convince that you can never be behind this. Was expecting you to not be in this but oh well, I shouldn't have expected anything from you, you're just a terrible excuse of a father!" he shouted, "You're a loser, dad and trying all these low acts won't make you great. Just admit that you never deserved to be the mage and fucking move on!"
That moment, his mom grabbed his shoulder turning him around.
All he got for this outbreak was a slap on his cheek.
"Mom!" he almost glared but the expression his mother had on her face was scary. He had never seen her so angry, she was always calm and quiet. She wouldn't even hit an insect, what happened today?

"Lina!" his father exclaimed, "Why would you do that?"
"He forgot his manners, he forgot all the things I taught him, I never taught him to be this disrespectful to his father. No, this can't be my son."
"I said nothing wrong! Dad was caught trying dark arts, he never deserved to be the mage. Now getting all jealous and trying to murder the one who replaced him, trying to pull me and Jeongguk apart, what does this make him other than a pathetic human?" Taehyung still dared to speak, that slap making his cheek go red.
"I lost everything dad and it's all because of you. Never focused on anything but studies, did everything to make you feel proud of me, hated Jeongguk like you wanted me to, never got distracted and this is all you give me in return? No, dad. This is so not fair," he cried out and pulled his own hair in frustration.
He was sobbing so hard, body shaking as he still managed to keep himself on his feet.
"I hate you, dad. I just hate you so much," Taehyung mumbled.
"Son;"
"Don't even try, you never treated me like your son, you treated me like some pawn in your game of chess. You want me to be the mage so that you can satisfy your ego, I get it all. I was such a stupid to even defend you." Taehyung kept on talking and both his parents just stared at him. This boy in front of them had so many complaints against them and they just couldn't do anything.
"Whatever I did was for your own good."
"Don't play that card with me, Mr. Kim! you never cared for me. You never did. Just admit it. I don't care anymore, so won't be hurt anymore than I already am, just accept the fact." Taehyung was on the last level of being rude and disrespectful.
His mom was about to say something when his dad stopped her with his hand in the air, "Lina, let me say it."
"You won't understand it now but one day, you will understand it all, you will get why I did this. You just have to stay away from that boy, Taehyung. I don't give a shit on what you think about me now."
"Unbelievable, you're unbelievable!" Taehyung argued.
"Taehyung, enough. Stop it, will you?" his mom asked grabbing his hand and pulling him back.
"When you don't know the whole thing, you don't talk. If you still gonna disrespect us both, I would say you should get out of the house right now."
"Mom, are you out of your mind? This man tried to kill the mage, he is involved with the shapeshifter or whatever shit that is, he even tried attacking Jeongguk and you are still defending him? What sorcery did you do, Mr. Kim?" Taehyung laughed bitterly.
"You're a pathetic low life, trying to kill people? For what? For just a title, pathetic, pathetic, pathetic!" Taehyung was out of his mind and in no way he was going to stop that mouth of his.
The mind was now feral. Everything crumbled in front of his eyes and he had nothing to do. All he could do was about at the one he thinks is responsible.
He was ashamed of his father.
"I am now embarrassed, don't even want you as my dad anymore, " Taehyung pointed out and that was the last straw.
His mother grabbed his hand and started pulling him with her. Hansung following him behind, wanting to stop from whatever she was planning to do.
"You've crossed the line, Taehyung. You can't stay here. Go and stay with your boyfriend and whoever you want, just don't show your face here!" she said and Taehyung let her drag him, he didn't even want to stay here anymore.
He wanted to just disappear.
"If he failed as father, you failed as son too! You never saw how much he loved you, just get out!" she said and pushed him out of the house and immediately closed the door.
Taehyung was upset.
He was frustrated, he was furious.
He wanted to just— even he doesn't know what he wanted to do.
He was aimlessly walking his way back to his school.
The brunet's eyes were already blurry and his legs were tired, he thought he hallucinated someone calling out his name but when he heard it again, he stopped and looked behind.
"Augnus slumbin"
With that everything turned pitch black.
