"Almost died? What's he saying?" his mother asked and Jeongguk looked over his shoulder at his father who sighed.

Now he knew there was no turning back and he had to reveal it to his mother. He remembered some glimpses of the night around thirteen years back.

"I mean, I don't remember clearly all the stuff, just some lightings and trees. The flashes scared the shit out of me,"

"This painting is from that night dad, the night you took me with you to the teng forest for the first time," Jeongguk said remembering that night.

"Wait, you took him to the forest? When?" Jeongguk's mother asked not knowing anything about this and Jonhan sighed, "I had to, you were at your mother's house and I couldn't leave him in the house alone, he was only four, Minah."

"You never told me about this, Jonhan," she complained getting closer to her son and hugged him, "If anything happened that night, I would have never forgiven you."

"Mom, I am all fine. That's in the past, we don't worry about that," Jeongguk laughed at how silly his mom was behaving but no, she just got scared at the thought only, she loved no one else more than Jeon Jeongguk.

"Hey, I would have never let anything happen to him and that night it was just a quick inspection of the forest like every week," he said and smiled at his wife and son hugging.

"I have got such a lovely family," Jonhan mumbled walking to them and joined the hug.

"Okay guys, so the yellow eyes. According to my drawing, I drew you and me here―" Jeongguk pointed at the little cute figures in the page with odd colours and then moved his finger at the man with yellow eyes behind a tree,

"That's him."

"I can't remember seeing him there, son," Jonhan said and tried hard to remember those pair of yellow eyes but nah, nothing rings a bell.

"Okay but dad, why am I remembering it now and that too just fragments of it? Just the flashes and trees, that's it." the blond asked looking over his shoulder at the older man who smiled.

"It's the spell. It broke when you saw the painting. I had that after I saw how you were terrified of the flashes that night. You were drawing just after we came back and we all know how you drew whenever you were sad or scared—" his dad said and Jeongguk nodded, "You were a child, Jeongguk and I didn't want you to remember that night anymore."

"But I am still scared of them,"

"Cause son, spells can make you forget your memories but can't make you forget your feelings," he smiled and ruffled the younger's hair while his mother stared at them with arms folded over her chest.

"Jonhan, you promise to never hide things from me, yeah?" she said and had a poker face on before glancing at her son, "You too, Jeon Jeongguk."

"Yes, ma'am."

"So in conclusion, he was there that night but I still can't remember him in the forest,"

"Probably it's just me who saw him? Maybe he was hiding that time?"

"Jeongguk, go sleep. I will take care of this okay, I don't want you to bother about this. And you do have classes too in the morning, so go and rest," Jonhan said patting the other's shoulder and smiled. Another smile was thrown at him in response and nodded, "I am super tired yes so I will, and dad please do something about Tae."

"Don't worry, I will do something, I promise."

The classroom was filled with students which was surprising as after the incident happened last night which is Moreon escaping, they students should have been taken back home but no, they all knew the School of Belfort was the safest place to keep their kids in.

"Bro, I miss my boyfriend." Jeongguk said resting his chin on the cusp of his palm while his eyes were roaming around the vast room, "I just wanna see him now."

"He will be here soon, the mage said he will do something so he will," Jimin said who today sat beside him when he was looking so sad, "Yeah, I really wish he does something and his father allows him to come back again."

"Why is his dad like that, wack people I say," Jeongguk rubbed his thumb on his left eyebrow harshly while he let out the longest sigh thinking what must be Taehyung doing right now.

"I don't think I will go for lunch today, so you guys can continue. I will head to the library, I will rather study a bit," the blond huffed in annoyance. Nothing seemed nice without the brunet around and he missed him with all his heart.

Where they would be making out hiding in tbe library, where they would be holding hands while they walk, he was here alone, sitting with Taehyung's best friend and his own gang only talking random stuff.

The bell to lunch rang and the professor who was waiting for the class to end already rushed out and the blond sighed and the students followed him.

The students of Belfort were pretty excited with all these shit going around, they were enjoying how the classes were being cancelled, how the exams were postponed, this was like an adventure but did they have one single clue about how dangerous this game was.

"I will see you in next class, okay?" Jeongguk said and patted Jimin's shoulder before pulling himself to his feet. Flashing one last smile at his besties he ran out of the classroom with his backpack struggling to stay calm as it was having a tough time slinging down his right shoulder.

Library was on the third floor and he was walking upstairs.

He so wanted to call Taehyung but he didn't recalling how the other said that he will call him when it's time and he of course didn't want to add any trouble to the ones his boyfriend already had. He already caused enough.

He bowed at the librarian and walked in to one of the aisles. He didn't exactly have a clue on what he will do here but he just wanted some peace of mind and this is the only place in the whole Belfort where students don't like to come so yeah, ideal.

"Wanting a book to read?" someone asked and Jeongguk turned around to see Min Yoongi standing with his usual expression which is actually no expression with his arms over his chest, "I can suggest one."

"Uhm yea sure, that would be great," Jeongguk smiled moving away when the gray haired boy gestured him to give space so he can pick one read for him, "Academics or just anything?"

"Anything but academics. I just want some distraction," he replied, and he was about to say something more however didn't when the other already chose a book.

Pulling it out after precise thinking and observation, he got that thick book with red leather cover which had a eagles figure printed on it with golden ink and the title was THE DOMINION.

"It's a dark book and I don't even believe in all these but fun to read to be honest so give it a try?" Yoongi smiled subtly, his hands holding that book out for Jeongguk to take and he did.

"Thank you, I will read this,"

"I took my time to get it for you, so you better," that smile disappeared and he again went back to the no expression mode, "I will check on you if you did or not."

"I,"

"Kidding, Jeon Jeongguk. It's just interesting so I suggested. You might find it not so captivating," he said and moved to the next aisle while Jeongguk stared at the book.

The time at school ended and Jeongguk was already on his bed in his dorm with that book in his hand, he started reading and it wasn't any ordinary book with a plot or something, it was a guide to some rituals.

"Not even surprised to see he likes all these, he looks scary—" Jeongguk sighed letting that book fall on his ribcage while he blankly stared at the ceiling up.

He didn't know how long he had been staring at the ceiling but he was snapped back to reality with the soft knocks on his door.

"Wait a sec," he said quickly getting up and getting off the bed, throwing that book on the bed with it's cover on display.

He opened the door and saw it was his father softly smiling at him and he knitted his brows moving aside making some space for him to get in which he gladly did.

"This room's a mess, Jeongguk. Why don't you clean up?" he asked taking a brief look around and sighed when it was looking too messy, "Will clean dad, why are you here?"

"Ah I was just—" he didn't finish his sentence when his eyes landed on the book on Jeongguk's bed and he started laughing, "Please where did you get this book? This is nonsense. When I was around your age, I believed in those rituals and went to turn a cat into a lion because always wanted to have a lion as pet what I got was scratches from that cat."

"Was it grandma's cat?"

"Yes that nasty cat, she hates me so much," he laughed, "I blamed it all on this book."

"I don't intend to read it as well, will return it tomorrow."

"Okay whatsoever, you want your early birthday present?" his father asked, excited, that smile appearing on the corner of his lips never leaving.

"Uh, okay?"

"Come on, young man, get in," Jeongguk's father said and gestured at the door. Jeongguk looked over his shoulder and saw Taehyung walking in with a bashful smile adorning his face.

"Dad, how did you convince his dad?" Jeongguk asked walking to the other.

"Taehyung, please would you explain it all to him, I have a meeting to attend so am in a rush," the older man requested and Taehyung nodded whispering, "Yes, sure sir."

"Okay byebye lovebirds, will see you soon!" he quickly got out of the room and Jeongguk was quick to lock it and come back to the other standing right there.

"I fucking missed you so much," the younger one mumbled once his face was just centimetres away from each other's, his hot breath hitting the other's lips who looked right into his eyes and whispered back, "I missed you just as much.".

"How did you manage to get back though?"
