《WANDS AND SPELLS | VKOOK ✓》34 | from the painting

"I am sure it's not Moreon who's behind all these," Jeongguk's father said and the younger looked at him, his face filled with nothing but surprise.
"Why do you think that?"
"I was doubtful of it but now Hansung saying that he doesn't have to worry makes it more sense. If this was Moreon, he would surely come for Taehyung and his father because in the past, they had this problems between them and now Taehyung attacking him, it can't be that he will not attack, it's not Moreon."
"Professor and Mr. Kim had differences?"
"We all know that I was made the mage when Hansung was caught doing dark magic. But he wasn't alone, he was with Moreon but Moreon just blamed it all on Hansung and that's why he is still in Belfort while the other isn't." Jonhan spoke.
"You knew about it? Like that time? You knew it wasn't just Mr. Kim?"
"I did and I tried to tell the other's too but they didn't bother. Once something is done, it's done." he said moving the steering wheel as he talked, his eyes fixated on the road anyways.
"And about whatever that thing was, I think I know him, I have seen him somewhere. The day he petrified me, I recognized those yellow eyes, I know them but where?" he asked himself and hit the steering wheel when frustration and anxiety took over.
"You know him as in?"
"He didn't petrify me just like that, there must be a reason, maybe he was scared that I might know who he is." Jonhan assumed, stealing a glance at his son who was so confused on whatever was happening however he knew that it all started years back.
"Are we going back to Belfort or our house?" Jeongguk asked, watching the series of trees running behind whilst the car rushed forward, "To our house. We sealed all of Belfort's windows and doors after I saw him leaving the campus land."

Jeongguk threw himself on the soft bed in his room, a small sigh melting into the cold air while he stared at the ceiling thinking about how of a mess these past days has been.
Only the good thing happened was Kim Taehyung.
When he wanted to be in the other's arms, kiss him until they got tired and cuddle afterwards, fate played this ugly prank on them and they were pulled miles away.
When it was the building time of their relationship, all these happened. Jeongguk fears that this distances they were having doesn't somehow keep their emotions, their bond from getting stronger.
He fished his phone from his jean pocket and dialled a specific someone's number, a small smile automatically appearing on the corner of his lips when he heard the older pick it up just that moment and greeting him in that sweet, honey dripping voice of his.
"Hey, baby. Did you reach home already or are you in dorm?" his velvety voice was cracked. The younger's heart breaking then and there getting a hint that he was crying all these time.
"I am at home and please don't cry anymore, everything will be alright," Jeongguk mumbled, his free hand unbuttoning the buttons of the shirt he was wearing.
"Yeah, I know but it's just so messed up, I am so tired Jeongguk. I am so fucking done. Why can't he try and understand my point of view?" Taehyung asked from the other.
Jeongguk heard that sigh and himself sighed after, "Maybe we can hope that one day he will."
"I don't know honestly but whatever, just wanna get out of this house right now," Taehyung groaned, and Jeongguk could hear that breaking sound of something.
"What did you do?"
"I just broke the vase," Taehyung laughed, "But feeling better."
"Tae, your parents will come up to check, hang up and hide the phone before they take it away as well," Jeongguk advised and both knew it was the right thing to do.

"You're right, bye then. I am turning it off, will call you later, bye." he hurriedly said and hung up.
"Ah fuck this shit." Jeongguk threw that phone on the bed and was too frustrated now. Why did everything had to be so difficult? And why on the whole earth did their fathers get each other to fight a war with.
Insane and unfair how their sons were suffering because of their past deeds.
Jeongguk didn't know what to do, he didn't even have his books here so he can study and distract himself. It was late enough to call his friends too and also if they find out what was happening in Belfort, they might panic too so that's a risk.
On the other hand, downstairs sat the mage with his wife trying his heart and soul to remember those pair of yellow eyes. He surely saw those eyes somewhere but where is the question.
"Honey, get some rest." she said but he just shrugged his shoulders, "Minah, everything is so messed up. I am so worried. Worried for Jeongguk and whole Belfort."
"The future is uncertain," he added.
"Why do you say that? You and the others will surely get everything back to it's place. It's just a matter of sometime," the woman said scooting closer to her husband and hugged him sidewise.
"The holes in the veils, they are getting bigger. If this keeps happening, we can't do anything and the magic will disappear forever. The outside world will know about us―" he started talking so fast when his mind got clouded with so many things.
"I am the mage, I have the most powerful wand to ever exist but still I am powerless right now."
"Something doesn't fit right. Okay listen. Let's start from the start," he moved his right and his wife nodded trying to understand everything he was saying and what's coming next.
"Suddenly one day, the magic doesn't work, I check and the veil had holes in it those are expanding. Something with yellow eyes which I think I know attacks me and also Belfort. Moreon is the only name we have but I know it's not him. What's this even?" he summed up everything that happened till now except the 'Jeongguk getting attacked' part as he doesn't want her to get worried about him as well.
"Hansung seems to know a lot but I know he won't speak a word."
"Then talk to him, make him understand that it's everyone at stake and isn't the good time for rivalry," she informed but hearing that bitter chuckle from her husband, she stayed quiet.
"The man who doesn't even care about his own son will care about others? Never Minah, he will never understand," Jonhan brushed his fingers through his hair before leaning forward and hugging his wife, "I don't know what to do. Please, I failed as a mage, as a father, as a friend."
"Don't say like that, Jonhan. Honey, not everything is under your control honey, there's some things that's out of your or any one of our control."
"You're right," Jonhan said and hugged her even more tightly if that was possible.
They stayed like that for some time but then abruptly Jeongguk ran inside the room with something in his hands.
"Dad, I found it."
"Found what?" his father asked breaking the hug and sitting straight, "You found what, son?"
"Those yellow eyes are from here," Jeongguk said holding that paper in his hands waiting for his father to take it and once he did, he saw what it actually was.
"You drew this when you were five or six year old, son. How can this mean anything?" he said staring at the painting.
"Dad this isn't any regular painting. I drew whatever I saw that night. The night I almost died."
