《WANDS AND SPELLS | VKOOK ✓》28 | just a leap of faith

"You saying Jeon Jeongguk told you that he likes you romantically? Woah!" Jimin laughed when his best friend told him whatever happened back then.
"Why the fuck you laughing, Park? This is serious." Taehyung knitted his brows at the other. This was totally unexpected, he didn't know how to react but the way Jeongguk panicked when he stayed silent just makes him melt into a puddle, that moment was too pure.
"The real question is do you like him back, romantically?" the cotton candy haired male walked up up to his best friend sitting on the bed and settled beside.
"I don't know, I never thought about it like, y'know?"
"Then just say no, it's easy." Jimin threw his arms over Taehyung's shoulder and suggested.
"Uh, but—"
"That but means doubts and you are confused. You ain't denying this nor you settled on taking this and at the moment, the only thing you need is some time," Jimin said placing his head on the latter's shoulder.
"He said I can take all the time."
"He said to me that if I am sure of it, only then we will be something, he told me that if I ever think of him a little more than just a friend, I must not hesitate one bit to tell him. He said he will wait Jimin," Taehyung remembered whatever the other said.
"I feel bad for leaving like that," Taehyung added.
"Listen Taehyung, there's nothing like hundred percent sure okay, and this life is all about chances, a leap of faith it is," the older whispered, "It's not like you have to marry him if you say yes, if you like him even one bit, try. What's the problem in that?"
"What if I hurt him in the future? What if I never like him as much as he likes me? This try can just ruin our everything, I don't want to get back to how we were, I like us this way now."
"I get what you're saying buddy and no if he hates you for you not reciprocating his feelings, then it's better if he isn't in your life. Like I said, it's just a leap of faith."

Jeongguk couldn't regret anymore.
Taehyung had been ignoring him the whole day since he was in Belfort. In the classes, even when he tried to sit with him, the brunet pushed him away saying he wants to sit with Jimin.
When he tried to start a conversation, he would just excuse himself and end it.
Currently it was lunch hours and Jeongguk was marching forward taking big steps. Once he reached the one he had been dying to talk to, he grabbed his wrist and stopped him in the middle.
"Can I have a moment?"
"Jeongguk, it's lunch hours..."
"Please, just five minutes promise," Jeongguk said already starting to pull the other who didn't say anything and let him do that. He stole a glance at Jimin who nodded and whispered, "Tell him."
Jeongguk dragged him through the hallway and when they were at the end of it, he let go of the wrist and looked up at the older.
"I am so sorry," Jeongguk couldn't keep up with the eye contact anymore as he felt so little, he felt like he just ruined such a good blooming friendship.
He felt like he just pulled out the most beautiful flower from the garden called life, that flower was Taehyung.
"Why are you saying sorry?"
"I ruined everything, didn't I?" Jeongguk asked, his sight fixated on the shoes he wore, his dad gifted him two months.
"I, Jeongguk, don't say that and I didn't say no," Taehyung said leaning against the wall and the younger one quickly glanced at him, "That means..."
"That means I am in a dilemma and now you gotta help me out, I like you but it's not strong enough to be your boyfriend so Jeon Jeongguk," Taehyung slowly touched Jeongguk's bottom lip with his pointer finger and rubbed the soft flesh, "Make my feelings stronger for you."
Jeongguk couldn't say anything when the finger moved up and down his lip and damn those eyes staring at his own with a smile on his face, Taehyung was such a tease.
"You're flirting, Kim. You might make me go hard with just that look," Jeongguk said looking away immediately and heard the other laugh.

"If you really wanna try this, why were you ignoring me?"
"I wasn't ignoring, I was just at a loss of words, I didn't know how to tell you this, see..... I like you a little little but what I know is I wanna know you better and you as my boyfriend isn't a bad idea, is it?" Taehyung asked with a flirty tone, his lips curving into a small teasing smile.
Jeongguk took a step closer and caged the older in between his arms as he pressed his palms against the wall.
The brunet closed his eyes when Jeongguk crossed his arms around his petit waist and hugged him tightly, burying his face in the crook of his neck, "It surely sounds like a grand idea, you and me together is something I never knew I needed in my life."
"I know this bond, our bond isn't strong right now but maybe in the future, it will be. Maybe we will be inseparable? No?" Jeongguk murmured against the other's honey kissed tan skin.
"Maybe, but...."
"But Jeongguk, what if we don't work?" Taehyung asked.
"Then we don't, you will tell me if you feel it's not working. It's not I will forcibly keep you to myself, you have the right to decide but promise me that whatever happens, you will never distant from me. We will never return back to the phase we were in. We will still be friends even if it will become difficult for us," Jeongguk said and Taehyung shook his head.
"But still, we should take some more time before anything," Taehyung hugged the other tighter.
"Yeah, take it all, I will wait."
Jeongguk stood there with their heartbeats next to each other, the body warmth was enough for the moment to make them both smile and Taehyung was the one to pull away first.
"I don't want to hurt your feelings, Jeongguk and that's why asking for this time, don't misunderstand me, yeah?" Taehyung whispered when Jeongguk took a step back.
"Then till then, don't you dare flirt with me like you did, I might go feral," Jeongguk laughed running his hand through his hair, "Let's go and eat now."
Taehyung nodded and they both were walking to the lunch hall.
"Did you know Belfort has secret chambers? Dad said he is gonna show me one when he comes back. Then I will show you," Jeongguk started a conversation and Taehyung never knew about this so he was as expected very intrigued.
"Really? You sure your dad won't get angry?" he asked as he didn't want to be the reason the mage gets angry with his son.
"No, why would he get angry? Just don't tell anyone about this and we will be fine," Jeongguk smiled and he nodded before getting into the hall.
"There they are," the brunet ran to the group of friends and took the seat beside Jimin.
"Did you tell him what you actually feel?" Jimin murmured getting close and his best friend nodded, "I did."
"And?"
"And he is willing to wait, he is so sweet I swear—" Taehyung was interrupted by Namjoon who asked, "What y'all whispering? Let me know too."
"That's best friend stuff, giant. Not for you," Jimin clicked his tongue at him before again glancing back at Taehyung.
"Good but if you like him, don't make him wait for too long that the feelings fade," Jimin said what he thought and Taehyung just stole a glance at the the blond guy sitting in front of him between Jackson and Hoseok.
"Hey guys, now that dad's gonna be back in a few days, we will most probably have our exams soon so how about y'all come over to my room and we study together like group studies?" Jeongguk was the one to propose the idea as he was lagging behind a lot and needed his friends to help him with this.
"Y'know group studies is just a trap to waste our time, it's shit. Doesn't work," Hoseok gave his opinion but Taehyung opposed.
"Hey, no. If we all are determined then it will be worth it, I am in." he agreed and Jeongguk smiled at him, "Yeah."
"I am in too,"
Namjoon and Jackson were in too.
"Ugh fine, but don't tell me I didn't warn ya when we will start joking around and say fuck studies," Hoseok rubbed his temples and let out a sigh.
"Okayyy."

The Journey of a Lazy Magician
As the state of the world grew dangerous everyday as the Demon Lord whom have the capability to destroy the world, will be un-sealed soon and the attacks of the demon forces' became more frequent, what better time it would be to be held as one of the richest person in the world. Only a sane person with the right mind would do that. Having to acquire something before an inevitable and hopeless end is the best option rather than trying to find the solution for the end of the world. I mean, the device used to re-seal the Demon Lord is gone. It could be under the ocean for all we know so why waste you're energy on stupid things like that? Of course, why would I waste my energy to do my incredibly hard goal when I can have my fellow party members to do it. Saving their "lives" from lesser goblins using a stick as a weapon usually does the trick to get someone on board so I think I'm pretty much set. *The cover photo is mine :3* AN: And thus, a schedule has been formed! I would be posting new chapter ever 2-3 days and if i haven't posted in this time, then something happened to me personally that makes me unable to post chapters in the scheduled time. The reason will mostly be school or i just have a lot of things scheduled in a certain day, etc. Sorry if it did happen as i am a very busy senior high student and could only write in his free time. Anyway, that is all and have a good day/night, the person who is reading this!

Luck And Chronomancy
Time Magic is the best magic as everyone knows, although there are lots of unique Talents in the world. Most people only remember Haste because it is hard to get to higher Phases of Chronomancy. That is still enough to make the Talent iconic. A lucky enough Aleatory Talent can position you for greatness or leave you languishing in obscurity. The only true equality in the world is when that glowing message pops up at 8 years old. Even if it doesn't activate until you are an adult at 16 you still know. Sure you can find a new dungeon spawn and get another chance at a rare Talent, even this one, but you have to already be ready to delve into the *Far Wilds*, which is far easier with wealth or family power. This is the story of where my good fortune took me and the difference it made, even among a party of 7 others including an Arcanist. It is a journey of magic and monsters but also math, which some think is actually worse. Luckily I was born with Intelligence and Focus as my personal traits, and my parents were scholars. Of course Chronomancy can also be a frontline combat talent. Versitility well beyond other Elder Talents like Gravity, Abstraction, or Arcana. Might could have worked for me, too. I also met a runaway princess. All the best adventures have a princess. She hated being a noble and we didn't get married but it still counts. Besides she really filled out our front line. All that Leadership training came in handy. I still don't know where she's from. Who cares? How well Haste goes with giant hammers is what's important. I never learned much about anyone in the party, except the one I grew up with. I'm not a people person. I just wanted to optimize dungeon clearing time. *******Story Details******* No romance, politics, or traumatizing content, slice of life, or even dialogue. 1st person narration, like a guide/adventure log. 2000-7000 words a day, maybe 40-60% rpgish combat log with some reasoning on combat decisions, with the rest character Talent discussion and progression stuff. 8 person party with a decent variety in roles. Party members usually have 2 primary functions. Told from the support/control Chronomancer's perspective. Each party member will have 6 Basic/Background Traits, then 3 actual Talents with abilities. Capstone from their Educational Institution, Arbritrary as a gift from the temples, and Aleatory which is decided at birth, revealed at 8, and activated after adulthood at 16. Aleatory Traits ignore requirements and are random why is why they are so important. They'll gain new Talents from finding Dungeons to consume in the *Wilds*. Mature dungeons in cities can provide *Challenges* to raise the Phase of a Talent, up to 3 times from 1 to 4. Each character will get to roughly 8 non-Trait Talents. Attributes come exclusive from Talents, are required by Talents, and provide various effects as well. I designed about 220 Talents with abilities, 4 in each of 4 phases. "Traits" are just Attribute stuff. I'm not sure how many will be detailed in the story, more than 100 for sure. I used Talents because I want to be free of the legacy of tabletop. Half those rules are just because of the limitations inherent in a pre-computer ttrpg. This story mostly uses combat Talents, although like 1/3 of the 220 are for crafting and other society and economy stuff. If you really wanted to be a Thief you might take Intuition, Awarness, and Might for Basic Traits and Deftness, Manipulation, and Trickery for Family/Education. Then you'd pick Acrobatics, and Climbing for Educational Capstone and Arbitrary traits. You Aleatory Trait might be Shadow(Light/Dark) Magic, Umbramancy. A Bard might swap Dexterity for Charisma, Music for Acrobatics, and have gotten Illusion(Shadow/Sound(Air/Force)) for their Aleatory Trait.
