《Water and Ice | Shoto Todoroki》Chapter 73-Intertwined

"Y/n?" Todoroki knocks on the door to my room.
"Hm?" I pull my headphones from my ears and get up from my bed.
I walk over to the door to see Todoroki standing there.
"What's up?" I ask, beginning to smile simply at the sight of him.
"I want to take you somewhere." He says.
I raise my eyebrows.
"Really? Isn't it kind of late?" I look out my window to see the sun setting.
"I know, but that'll make it even better." Todoroki tries to convince me.
"Fine, fine." I give in.
He smiles. I shoo him away from my room so I can close the door and get ready. I step outside of my room after I'm done to see he's still standing and waiting for me.
"Let's go." I say.
I grab his hand and we walk out of the dorm together.
He leads me away from the school. The way we're heading seems familiar but I can't quite remember why.
Suddenly the wooded trail we're following breaks open into a small meadow. I make a small gasp when I realize where we are.
This is the place Todoroki took me the first day of school. The cherry blossoms aren't blooming like they were then, but the plants and pond are still stunning. The moon and stars rising over us make this even more perfect.
"Shoto..." I look to him.
A sweet smile grows on his face as he watches my reaction.
"Thank you." I hug him.
"I should be the one thanking you, you have no idea what you've done for me." He shakes his head but hugs me back.
We separate and sit down next to each other on the small shore of the pond, leaning against each other while our hands stay laced together.

"The trees aren't in bloom anymore, but I remember what you said about them." I say softly.
"That just proves further how rare the blossoms are. You were the first person I ever showed this place to, I'm so glad I took you here." He responds.
I look up at the dark sky.
"You know, I remember when we talked about the stars too. Ever since you told me how you used to see them, I couldn't look at them the same way I had before." I speak.
"Do you remember when we first kissed?" He asked.
I laughed.
"Yeah, that seems so far away. It's kind of crazy we'd only known each other for like...a week. Y'know it's a little stupid that it had to happen because of a spin the bottle game though. Honestly, you were a little intimidating back then so that's probably the only way it would've happened anyway." I admit.
"Really? I guess I just didn't know how to show my emotions." He sighed.
"You've come so far from when I first met you." I squeeze his hand.
He nods silently.
"I'm so glad I have you." I say.
A bittersweet smile paints my features as I think about everything we've gone through to get here.
Todoroki doesn't say anything, but he uses his free hand to touch my jaw softly and guide my face towards his. I gaze into his two-toned eyes for a moment before closing my own e/c ones and connecting my lips to his.
This kiss isn't the same as our others, it's so much softer and meaningful. I can practically feel all of our shared memories spilling between us. I pull away slowly and simply admire him for another moment.
I finally look away from him and back towards the sky, leaning my head against his shoulder.
"I love you so much, y/n."
"I love you more."

Prime Magus of Earth
"In the beginning, I had no idea what was going on. My brother and friends were gone, my sight was gone, and yet I still saw things, things about this world that no one else knew. I'm not special, or gifted, anyone could have done what I did. I just got lucky, especially after everything that happened afterwards. Magic already existed, it always had. Humans just didn't know how to do it, didn't know how to nuture that small spark in them. Now you do." - Prime Magus of Earth, Alexander Sorin. November 2021 Update: So, it has been four years since I stopped working on this. Reading back, the first "book" is finished. It has what feels like an ending to an arc. Now it isn't a perfect story but I still like it and I can see myself starting the second book, might even this on Amazon or something. My biggest regret was never coming up with artwork for the cover though. Maybe I'll look into it.
