《Water and Ice | Shoto Todoroki》Chapter 70-What I Want

I was woken up by someone nudging me. I was about to get mad at them for waking me up from my peaceful sleep, but their voice stopped me.
"Y/n? Come on, you need to get up. We're back at the dorms." Todoroki spoke softly.
I opened my eyes and realized we were still on the bus. I sighed and stood up, stretching a little bit.
"Thanks." I said.
People were still getting off so I joined the line of people in the aisle. I got off and walked towards the dorms. I planned on going straight to my room to get more sleep, and started heading there. Ura stopped me though.
"Y/n! Where are you going?" She asked.
I turned to face her.
"My room. Sleep." I replied shortly.
"Speaking of sleep..." She pulled out her phone.
She showed me a picture of me sleeping against Todoroki. I just sighed.
"Is that all?" I asked tiredly.
"Huh? You're not going to say anything?" She seemed confused.
"What am I supposed to say? 'Send it to me'? I slept on the bus, it happened to be against Todoroki. What does it matter? He seemed fine with it so I don't see the problem." I responded, honestly done with the whole situation.
She still seemed very confused, but I just turned and continued walking to my room.
What I said might've been a little rude, but I just really wasn't in the mood today.
I sat down on my bed and thought back to last night again, everything that happened replaying in my mind. I felt everything so clearly. I was so wrapped up in my daydream that I almost didn't notice the knocking at my door.
"What now..." I grumbled to myself.

I got up and went to open the door. Todoroki was standing there.
"What's up?" I asked.
"I wanted to check on you, it seemed like something was bothering you earlier." He said.
I tried giving him a smile, but I could tell it wasn't convincing. I sighed and opened the door wider, inviting him in. I closed the door behind him as he came in and I sat down on the bed again. He sat down next to me.
"Do you want to talk about it?" He asked.
I took a deep breath before speaking.
"If I'm being honest, I really don't know what's going on. It's probably just lack of sleep, but I've just been feeling kind of weird today. It's strange, I usually don't get like this. I should probably apologize to Ura too, I snapped at her a bit before. I'm sorry Todoroki, you probably don't want to hear me talk about some weird trouble I have that I don't even know the real problem of." I sighed.
"Shoto." He said.
"Huh?" I was confused.
"You can call me Shoto." He responded.
I stared at him for a second before letting a small smile slip out onto my face.
"Alright then, Shoto. Hmm. Yeah I like the way that sounds." I said, testing it.
"And I like the way you say it." He replied.
I suppressed a laugh before looking him in the eyes.
"You have no idea how happy I am that I finally have you all to myself." He almost whispered, staring back into my eyes.
"I think I do know how happy you are, because that's exactly how I feel." I responded.
He let out a soft chuckle. I suddenly yawned.
"Are you tired? Then maybe I should go so you can get some rest." He started to stand up.

"No! I mean...you don't have to." I quickly said.
"Oh?" He began to sit back down, a playful smile now on his face.
"It just, uh, kinda gets cold in here...sometimes. And I wouldn't an, um, another...thermal seizure...happening again...?" Even I could tell that I didn't sound the least bit convincing.
"No, no. We wouldn't want you having another thermal seizure, would we? And I would hate to think of you being stuck all cold in here. Hmm. Maybe I should just stay to warm you up?" It almost seemed obvious he was teasing me for being so awkward about what I was trying to say.
"Y-Yeah...that would...work." I replied slowly, careful to choose my words.
Suddenly he let out a soft laugh.
"Y/n, you can tell me what you want. You don't need to act all embarrassed about it. I'd be fine with staying with you, in fact, I kind of wanted to from the start." He said.
"Really?" I asked, uncertain.
"Yes, really." He reassured me.
"Well in that case, I'm just gonna go to sleep. You can leave if you want I guess." I said as I flopped down fully over the bed.
I could tell he was suppressing a laugh as he stood up. I moved and laid down on my side. I thought he was going to leave, but he went over and turned off the light before walking back over to the bed. He laid down beside me and put his arm around me. I turned over to face him but it was hard to see anything in the dark.
"Do you not want this?" He asked.
"No, I actually kinda like it." I responded.
I couldn't see his facial expression at all, but I could almost sense him smiling. He pulled me closer to him, and of course I didn't object.
After all of this, I finally felt truly happy.

Ortus
A woman wakes up in a forest, naked, alone, and injured. She has nothing but a strange, black dagger and mysterious, floating, blue boxes to aid her. Can she find food and water? Survive the deadly animals? Escape the forest? Learn about the life-altering magic the boxes provide her? She has to use her wits, her knowledge, and maths to do so. But first, baby steps. She doesn't even understand the language, yet. If you see any maths mistakes or strange story decisions, leave a comment and I will either fix it or consider changing it. This is also, essentially, a first draft. That means I will edit older chapters and nothing is final, including numbers. Any major changes are listed in the changelog below each chapter. Since this is a first draft, the start is noticably bad and inconsistent compared to the more recent chapters so you will have to endure that to get to the good stuff.
