《Water and Ice | Shoto Todoroki》Chapter 67-Girl Talk

I stood up from the logs along with everyone else, brushing off the dirt and ashes that had settled on me.
It was pretty late, and Iida was demanding that we go get some rest so we would be fresh and ready to pack up tomorrow.
Like that was gonna happen.
I started walking to my tent, but I was stopped by a hand grabbing my wrist. It wasn't rough, just enough for me to notice.
"Meet me by the lake later." I recognized Todoroki's voice whispering into my ear.
I looked up but he was already walking away from me. I thought about why he would want to meet with me, but there could be a lot of things.
I reached the tent and saw that Ura, Jiro, and Mina were already inside. They had started to set up their sleeping bags so I began to set up mine too. We finished and Mina hung a flashlight from the top of the tent to act like a sort of lantern.
"So, y/n. Now that it's just us, mind telling us what happened in the lake?" Ura asked.
Of course that's what she would want to talk about.
"Yeah y/n! What happened down there?" Mina asked again.
"We're all curious." Jiro smirked.
"Well..." I trailed off.
I contemplated whether I should tell them the truth or not. After a few moments, I came to the conclusion that they were my friends I shouldn't be lying about something like this. They could probably give me advice too.
"Ok, well I guess I'll just start from the beginning. You guys dumped us in and we both sank to the bottom. I made a water bubble but I think Todoroki took in too much water when he went in. I used my quirk to get the excess water out, but it seemed like something was still wrong with him. I'm not really sure what came over me, but I just kissed him. And then-" I began to explain.

"OH MY GOD Y/N YOU FINALLY MADE A MOVE!!" Mina interrupted.
"Uh, yeah. Chile-" I began again.
"Aww that sounds so romantic! I wish I could've seen it!" Ura interrupted again.
"I'm so happy for you guys! It's finally happening!" Jiro added.
"ANYWAYS, after I kissed him he started coughing and then he woke up. I got kinda mad at him for making me think he was dead, but then he asked me about me kissing him. I didn't really know how to respond to that, but he just leaned in and kissed me again. That was probably what surprised me the most. And then...we sort of just swam up after a few moments." I finished.
It looked like Ura was about to pass out. Mina looked like she was having a panic attack. Jiro seemed mostly normal, just a bit happier?
"It's not a big deal...calm down." I said slowly.
"CALM DOWN?! ARE YOU SERIOUSLY TELLING ME TO CALM DOWN RIGHT NOW?!" Ura waved her arms around.
"NOT A BIG DEAL?! THIS IS A HUGE DEAL!" Mina added on.
I felt slightly concerned that they were so committed to this, but I mostly just wanted to laugh at them for the way they were acting.
"Anyways...I should be going now. I have plans, so I'll see you later!" I smiled as I began to get up.
"Plans?! Where are you going?!" Ura asked almost immediately.
"Yeah! What could you possibly be doing this late?!" Mina asked.
I didn't answer their questions, and instead unzipped the tent and stepped out. I zipped it back up behind me, muffled objections from Mina and Ura could still be heard coming from inside.
I mentally apologized to the other tents who had probably been disturbed by Mina and Ura yelling earlier.
I started going down the trail to the lake again, not sure of what to expect. The trees opened up to reveal the lake, where I saw Todoroki standing. He was facing away from me, looking out on the water.
"Hey y/n."
