《Water and Ice | Shoto Todoroki》Chapter 62-Sticky Situation

I floated through all the bushes and trees, trying to be as silent as possible.
I was nearing the location Hagakure had given us, and was trying to look through the underbrush to see if I saw the flag anywhere.
Suddenly I spotted a flash of blue through all of the green. I slowly went back a few feet, and spotted the flag planted into the dirt. I peered through the bushes to make sure no one was guarding it. Suddenly, I heard a scream from above. My head immediately shot up, looking for whoever was in danger.
Although a light smile appeared on my face after I realized Jiro had begun floating above the trees. Nice job Ura. I looked back to the flag, and after seeing no one I floated over to it.
I grabbed the metal pole of it, and pulled it out of the ground. I let the cloud evaporate, wanting to save my energy in case I ran into someone along the way, plus Jiro couldn't listen to the sounds I made anymore. I started jogging in the direction of the border, wanting to take the shortest path there. It wasn't long before I heard the bushes rustle beside me.
I stopped and turned. Suddenly something long and pink wrapped around the arm I was holding the flag with. I realized it was a tongue. It jerked my arm, causing me to let go of the flag and sending it flying. I mentally apologized to Tsu, knowing it was her who had latched on to me. I knew her weakness and planned to use it against her. I sent frost up from my arm to her tongue. It immediately pulled back, and I sprinted towards the direction of where the flag went.
I looked through the bushes a little before spotting it again. I grabbed it and started going towards the border as fast as I could. I wouldn't stop, I couldn't stop.

A purple blur shot out of the bushes. Before I knew it, I couldn't move my right leg. I almost tripped before I caught my balance. I looked to see what had stopped me. A purple ball was stuck to my ankle and the ground, keeping me there.
I looked up and saw Mineta jumping towards me. I shot him back with a blast of water. I tried to pull my leg, but it was definitely stuck. I turned and froze Mineta as he came at me again.
"How do I get this off?" I asked.
Mineta smiled.
"You can't." He responded.
I groaned, frustrated with the situation.
"Y/n!" I heard someone call.
I turned to see a bright flash of green electricity as Midoryia landed in front of me.
"Midoryia! Here, take the flag. You need to make it to the border, I can't move anymore." I told him quickly.
He nodded and took the flag from my grasp.
"I'll make it for us!" He announced.
He shot off again, heading for the place I couldn't reach.
I sighed and sat down on the ground, my ankle still stuck. I glanced over at Mineta, who was still encased in my ice.
I guess all I could do was wait for the game to be over.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It seemed like an eternity before the siren sounded again.
The game was over, and hopefully our team was the one who won. I stood up as best I could, and unfroze Mineta.
"How am I supposed to move now? The games over anyway." I asked again.
"I mean, you really can't, but you might be able to dig up the dirt and move that way." Mineta responded.
"That probably would've helped to know before." I mumbled.
I dug up the ball with my water, and lifted my leg so it wouldn't stick to anything else.
"I wish I could stick to my balls so I could be stuck to you." Mineta said, a creepy grin plastered on his face.
"One more word and I drown you." I replied coldly.
He shrugged as I glared at him.
I turned my attention back to my leg and tried washing a bit of the dirt off. After, I froze all around the ball so it wouldn't be able to stick to anything else. Mineta had already left to get out of the woods, and I did the same. I came out of the forest and went over to where I saw the others gathering.
Kaminari was in his dumb mode, and both him and Ura were jumping around and cheering. Bakugo was angrier than usual, and Kirishima was trying to keep him from murdering Midoryia.
I think it was safe to say we had won.
The story of Larin the Builder in the aftermath of Awakening This short story is the epilogue of Awakening, the first book of the Chronicles of Mother's Gate series. She awakens in A'lara City a few days later and recuperates under the steadfast care of her repentant friend Jorn.As she reacclimates to her waking state, Larin struggles with her gruesome memories of the Hells and her decision to conceal them from Jorn. This story answers the question, Is Larin all right? with a resounding yes, and some storms on the horizon.It also raises the question, What happened to her down there? and includes an excerpt from the sister story Falling Down, about Larin's ordeal in the Nine Hells. Praise for Waking Up and Falling Down: Loved it. The difference between the two stories is great!The difference between Waking Up and Falling Down is astounding. So much light and love in the first story. You feel safe reading it. Healing.The second, so much darkness, pain and despair. The choice of vocabulary is awesome and makes an impact.And this set of short stories ties the two books together so well.-- Dana V. of Texas ★★★★★
