《Water and Ice | Shoto Todoroki》Chapter 33-Commercial Break

"Then it is decided! Let the Sports Festival continue!" Midnight announced.
Midnight finished explaining the rest of the battles and told us we needed to draw to see who we would be against. I picked and read the name of my opponent.
"Mina..." I trailed off.
I didn't want to battle against one of my close friends, but we all came here to win, so I would try my best.
Everyone else picked their matches and I looked at the board. I saw who Ura was up against and immediately started to worry. I knew Bakugo wouldn't hold back against her, and wondered if he would actually end up hurting her. I saw that Todoroki was up against Sero, and knew the tape boy would be no match for him. Todoroki might only want to use his left side, but he was extremely good with it. I walked over to Mina.
"Hey, unfortunate matchup I guess." I rubbed the back of my neck
"Well no hard feelings, right? I mean, I don't want you to hate me after I beat you." She responded playfully.
I let out a soft laugh before following her up to the stands to watch and wait for our turn.
"Who do you think's gonna win?" Ura asked as she sat down next to me.
"Who's going first?" I asked.
"Deku and Shinso." She replied.
"I'm not sure...I don't know what Shinso's quirk is, but I think he might have been what caused Ojiro and Shoda to not remember the Calvary Battle." I said.
"Yeah maybe..." She trailed off.
I looked around but didn't see Todoroki anywhere.
"I wonder where Todoroki is..." I spoke one of my thoughts aloud.
"Of course that's what you're thinking about." She laughed.

I playfully punched her in the arm.
"I'm sure he didn't go far." Ura said.
I looked around and realized Izuku wasn't here either.
"I'm gonna go take a walk." I got up from my seat.
"More like go looking for your boyfriend." She teased.
"Oh please." I rolled my eyes.
"Oh I'm sorry, I meant future boyfriend." She corrected.
I shook my head.
"Whatever. I'll see you later." I said as I navigated through the rows of seats.
I made it out of the stadium and walked around outside. There were tunnels leading into the arena from outside, and I found myself walking around them. I heard voices coming from one and stopped. I peaked around the corner and saw Todoroki and Izuku facing each other.
"...I'm going to try my best, and you should too!" I heard Izuku saying.
I ducked back around so they wouldn't see me.
"Do what you want, but I will defeat you." Todoroki responded.
I heard footsteps and floated above the tunnel, hoping they wouldn't look up. I saw Todoroki come out of the tunnel, outside, but he didn't see me. A few minutes later I heard Izuku's footsteps fade as he went into the tunnel, back into the hallways.
I dropped to the ground and started walking around outside again. It looked like Todoroki had been walking slowly, I was able to catch up with him as he was walking back to the arena.
"Hey Todoroki." I greeted once I had fully caught up with him.
"Oh hey y/n." It seemed like the fierce tone he'd spoken with before had changed to a more friendly one.
I wanted to ask him what he was talking about with Midoryia before, but I didn't want him to know I had been eavesdropping.

"You're up against Sero, right? That should be interesting." I said to make conversation.
"I'll end it quickly. He can't put up much of a fight if he's frozen in place." He responded.
I nodded.
"Guess so." I agreed.
"You're against Ashido, right?" He asked.
I nodded.
"I'm not sure how it'll go. She can melt my ice and combat my water." I sighed.
"I'm sure you'll win." He assured me.
"How can you be so sure?" I asked him.
"You're much smarter than some of our classmates. You think about strategy and come up with a plan instead of charging head-on into battle." He replied.
"Do you really think so?" I wasn't sure if he was just trying to make me feel better.
"I know so." He answered confidently.
His confidence spread over to me, and I was more sure of the coming battle.
"We'd better get back soon if we want to see the match." I picked up the pace of our walking.
He nodded and kept a quicker pace with me.

Prerequisites for Greatness (RWBY)
Jaune always knew that being a hero meant going on adventures, sometimes very far from home. He just hadn't thought he would start so early, or so far. Sadly he wasn't high level enough to learn teleportation, nor did life have an easily accessible mount option. His own two legs and an occasional donkey would have to do. Summoned
“Per aspera ad astra." Death. Mercilessly, it comes for all. But when a young man is given a second chance – a second life – to experience what he never has, what will he do? Leave the burdens of his past behind, improving upon his faults? Or will he collapse back into old sins, wasting the opportunity given to him? Perhaps even he himself does not know. * Join Andre on his journey as he explores a new world – one ripped straight from the pages of a D&D campaign he's never played. He will face monsters. He will face men. And above all, he will face himself. The story’s genre is your standard progression fantasy, isekai: magic, a system, and a level of technology suspiciously underdeveloped. I’ve borrowed tropes from various books I’ve read like “The Second Coming of Gluttony”. The similarities are there (particularly in the beginning), but I assure you the story is my own. It’s in the first-person perspective and has its own quirks, characters, and world for you to become immersed in. The upload schedule for this will be different from the usual fictions on this site: I’ll release chapters in batches rather than so many a week. I’m a college student, so I don’t want another deadline to worry about. Depending on the popularity/demand of the series, I might increase or decrease the rate of releases. Other than that, I hope you enjoy the story! P.S. This is my first fiction so make sure to point out mistakes wherever you see them. I’m doing this, partly, to increase my skill as a writer. However, be kind! I’m fragile, you know? Warning: ***This is far from your happy-go-lucky, feel-good adventure story. There will be content that some of you might not be comfortable with. And if you're already feeling skeptical reading this, click away and don't come back. If you're still here, what are you waiting for?***
