《Water and Ice | Shoto Todoroki》Chapter 27-Animal Rescue

"There's actually something I've been meaning to tell you." Todoroki stopped what he was doing to look at me.
"What is it?" I asked, curious.
"I-" He started.
Ura suddenly burst into the kitchen.
"Y/n, help! Come quickly!" She exclaimed.
I immediately put down the cup I was washing and ran with her upstairs into Koda's room. I immediately saw the problem.
"How did this happen?!" I asked as I surveyed the damage.
"Quick! Can you save the fishies?!" She looked sincerely worried.
I nodded and quickly used my quirk to get the fish into some floating water.
"I can hold this for a while until you find something to put them in." I told her.
She nodded quickly and ran downstairs to look. It seemed like Koda's new fish tank had gotten broken, and the water and fish had rushed out of the wreckage. I kept control and the fish just swam around in their little ball of water. Ura came up a few minutes later with a big pitcher.
"Do you really think they can live in there?" I asked.
"I mean this is the best we got. It'll have to wait until we get another fish tank for him." She replied.
I nodded. She set the pitcher down on the table and I put the water and fish into it.
"Thanks for helping y/n, they probably would've died if you didn't come." She looked at the fish.
"Happy to help." I responded while smiling.
She smiled back.
"Um, does Koda even know?" I asked hesitantly.
"Yeah. I think he left a few minutes ago to get a new tank." She answered.
I nodded and walked out. Ura followed me. I went downstairs to the common room again. I saw a few people still sitting and talking.

"What happened?" Todoroki asked as I sat down again.
"The fish tank broke. I kept the fish alive while Ura found something to put them in. It's all good though, Koda left to buy another tank from the store." I told him.
He nodded.
"A hero saves everyone, including fish!" Ura sat down next to me.
I laughed.
"I guess so." I replied.
The conversation turned towards a different subject and we talked for a while longer before I finally checked the clock on the wall.
"It's getting pretty late. We should probably get some rest for tomorrow." I said.
Everyone else nodded. We all headed up to our separate rooms. I walked with Ura, Todoroki, and Momo to our row of dorms. We said goodnight and parted ways into our rooms.
I started to change and brush my teeth. I finished getting ready and came out of the bathroom. I still didn't really feel tired though, so I sat down at my desk.
"What to do..." I mumbled to myself.
I decided to brush up on my drawing skills and got some paper and charcoal out. I started to draw out a random scene that had come to my mind and it slowly formed into something recognizable. The landscape looked nice, trees and a pond in the background. Two people sat on the shore together. I looked at it longer, and realized the two people were me and Todoroki, and I had drawn our first day together at that special place he had taken me to. I sighed and stared at it for a few moments before carefully putting it away. Deciding to go to sleep, I turned off the light and slipped into bed.

I woke up shivering late in the night. I breathed out and saw my breath in the air. It was so...cold. Maybe I just needed to turn the heat up. I climbed out of bed and crossed shakily to the door. I turned the handle and stepped out into the darkness. I kept my hand along the wall as I stumbled to the end of the hall, feeling for the thermostat. I suddenly felt a sudden wave of nausea and dizziness. My shivering intensified and I felt as if it had rapidly dropped temperature even more.

My vision started to dim as I felt myself collapse to the ground in the empty corridor.
