《Water and Ice | Shoto Todoroki》Chapter 13-Captive

My eyes blinked open. I was in a dark room. It was extremely hot, I felt like I would burn. I still felt dizzy and I suddenly remembered what had happened.
"I see you're awake." Someone said.
I tried to respond but I was gagged. The man had light blue hair and hands covering his body. I tried to activate my quirk, but I only got a weak trail of frost.
"That won't work here. Your weakness is heat, it's like your opposite. You can't perform under high temperature." He explained.
I narrowed my eyes and tried to say something. He walked over and took off the gag.
"Why am I here?" I asked.
"You'll find out soon enough." He said.
"That's not an answer."
He started to scratch his neck.
"Who are you?" I asked him.
"We are the League of Villains." He said.
More people stepped out of the shadows.
"Why are you doing this?" I asked.
"You will be the first addition to our team. Our first step to take down UA and the hero society." He said.
"I would never join you." I told him.
"We'll see about that."
They left the room. I had to think about my options, but the heat was frying my brain. So this was the League of Villains. I'd never heard of them, but they must be criminals. I had no idea how long I'd been out, maybe no one from school or my family had noticed yet. I didn't come home from my walk so my mother was bound to worry. If I didn't meet up with Ura and the others they might think something was up too. When I don't show up to school on Monday, they'll definitely get worried. I just hoped they would try and find me sooner rather than later.

I tried again to use my quirk, but nothing happened. I was completely drained. Suddenly a blond girl came skipping in with a tray of food.
"Hi! I'm Toga!" She introduced herself.
I narrowed my eyes at her.
"Sorry about the kidnapping and all that. You were on Shiggy's recruit list, and me and Dabi couldn't help ourselves when we just saw you walking around all alone!" She said while smiling.
This girl freaked me out, it definitely seemed like she had a screw loose. She took some oatmeal and a spoon off the tray.
"Open up!" She scooped some out.
"What? No way. How do I know there isn't poison in there?" I asked.
"Do you really think we would go to all the trouble of kidnapping you if we just wanted to kill you? We could have killed you in that alley easily." She said.
That wasn't a very comforting thought. I still refused to eat. Toga sighed and sat cross-legged on the floor.
"Why am I here?" I asked her.
"Shiggy wants you to join the League! He thinks that you've got a strong quirk and you'd be a 'very powerful ally'." She used finger quotes.
"Who's Shiggy?" I asked.
"Oh, he's that hand guy from earlier!" She said happily.
"What makes him think he can make me join the League?" I asked.
"Well, he thinks that if you stay here long enough then you'll eventually see it his way." She explained.
"How long have I been here?" I asked slowly.
"A week."
