《Water and Ice | Shoto Todoroki》Chapter 10-Lying and Frying

I woke up and yawned before the situation hit me. I still felt Tododroki's arms around me, so I moved them off as gently as I could. It didn't look like anyone else was up, which was good, no witnesses. I got up and headed to the kitchen. I got some water and looked around for something to eat. I saw some pancake mix that was left on the counter, so I decided to try and make some pancakes. I follow the directions on the bag and started frying them on the stove.
I heard more people moving around in their sleeping bags, probably waking up. I finished making the pancake and was thoroughly pleased with the results. It was a nice golden-brown color and it had a good, fluffy consistency. I was actually pretty proud of myself since I'm usually not that good at cooking. Inspired by my sudden success, I decided to try and make pancakes for everyone.
After my fifth or sixth one, I was pretty much ready to give up. Ura came into the kitchen and yawned.
"Whatcha doin?" She asked.
"I'm trying to make pancakes for everyone, wanna help?" I asked her.
"Yeah, sure!" She said cheerfully.
She helped me make more pancakes and I'm not even sure how many there were. There were massive stacks on platters by the table. More people came out and Sato gave us some tips to make them better. After a little while I saw Todoroki come out and sit at the table too. He looked at me, but any not any different than before. I started to wonder if he remembered anything from last night.
"I think that should be enough." Ura said after moving the last pancake.
I nodded and took all the pancakes over to the dining table. Everyone was already seated so I took a seat too. Everyone started digging in, but I felt my eyes wander back to Todoroki. I'd known him for a week, but I still didn't know his first name. I'd have to ask him soon. He looked back at me and held my stare.

I looked away and started eating some pancakes. Even though I couldn't see it, I still felt his eyes watching me. Did he really care? After last night, I'm not really sure what to think. I finished up my food and took my dishes over to the sink. Todoroki got up too. I started washing my dishes and he came up behind me.
"Do you remember anything from last night?" He asked.
"What part of last night? I mean a lot happened." I tried to say casually.
"Towards the end." He said.
"Pillow fight? Yeah, that was fun." I said.
"No, after that." He said.
"What after that? We just went to sleep." I tried to play it dumb.
"Oh um...then never mind." He said and walked away.
I didn't know why I couldn't tell him, it seemed like he knew what happened. Did he do it on purpose? If he he did, then why? So many new questions swirled through my head.
What does Todoroki actually mean to me?

Continuity
I’m writing this all down because I don’t know what else to do with it. This whole experience has been so completely insane that I must record it so people in the future can understand what is going on. Maybe someday someone else can make sense of it. Maybe that person is you, I have no idea. JR awakens from a dream to find that he is late for work! When he tries to call in, he realizes that something is not right. That’s when his friend and co-worker, Frank, calls him and informs him of what just happened to their workplace. JR finds himself in a world that grows increasingly surreal with every passing day. There are basic facts about himself are missing from his memory. When was his birthday again? Taking place in Chicago in the near future, strange buildings, strange events and stranger people populate this world on the other side of the looking glass. JR is left to struggle with his new job and new surroundings, but luckily his old friend Frank is still there to help guide him. He makes many friends who have interesting takes on life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. First alerted by Frank, JR slowly becomes aware of a danger lurking in the background that is gradually spreading despite the fact that no one else seems to notice it or acknowledge that he might be on to something. All of this combines to make the novel Continuity about fear, anxiety and paranoia in a perplexing world that seems to be both real and not real at the same time. Rumored to be about 15 chapters and less than 200 pages the novel is written in a first person perspective that breaks the forth wall and will either leave you laughing with delight or scratching your head in confusion, or maybe both!? The one thing it won’t be is boring!
