《Water and Ice | Shoto Todoroki》Chapter 8-Sleepover(Part 2)

He pulled away and just I sat there, paralyzed. I didn't think he would actually do it.
"Yay! Nice job guys!" Mina clapped.
"My little girl is all grown up!" Ura wiped a fake tear from her eye.
"Oh shut up." I rolled my eyes at her.
I tried to look anywhere but Todoroki. I didn't want to see his face. I was afraid I'd see regret or disgust on it.
"I'm gonna go get some snacks. I'll be right back." I said as I stood up.
I wasn't really that hungry, I just wanted a reason to get out of that awkward situation. I walked through the kitchen and looked for some food to bring back. I found some Oreos and headed back to see what they were doing.
It turns out they were planning to watch a movie, a horror movie. A horror movie that would scare me out of my mind. And then they conveniently took up ALL of the seats in the living room except the couch Todoroki was on. I am now convinced that they're all conspiring against me.
"Take a seat!" Ura said happily.
I narrowed my eyes at her but she winked back. I did see that she was sitting next to Deku though, so at least she was working up the courage to get him. I brushed their attempts off and sat crosslegged on the couch next to Todoroki.
They started the movie and of course there was a jump scare right at the beginning. I jumped in my seat and had to resist the urge to scream. I shakily offered some Oreos to Todoroki who accepted them gladly. I ate a few more before putting them on a side table so they wouldn't spill when I was bound to get scared and jump again.

A serial killer came up on the side of the screen and I screamed along with a few other people. Suddenly a jump scare came from the right and I bounced to the left, hitting Todoroki.
"S-Sorry." I apologized.
"It's ok, I don't mind." He said.
I lasted about fifteen minutes until one particular scene scared me to death. I instinctively grabbed Todoroki's arm without thinking about it. He didn't say anything so I didn't let go.
At about the 75th time I screamed, Todoroki tried to put his arm around me to comfort me. I admit, after it happened I got embarrassed but at the time I was screaming my head off. The movie was almost over and I thought I would be able to handle it. Suddenly Sero jumped up from behind the side of the couch and it scared the living daylights outta me. I screamed and buried my head in Todoroki's shoulder.
The movie ended and I finally felt brave enough to look up again. Most of the people were pretending not to look, but then Mina and Ura were laughing their heads off. I realized what I had done and quickly scrambled to the other edge of the couch. I felt my face turn red. Ura and Mina high-fived each other. I glared at both of them.
"Hey Ura, can we have a little...talk?" I asked as threateningly as possible.
I got up and walked over to the kitchen area. She came over next to me.
"That was your plan wasn't it?" I asked.
"Only part of it." She said.
"Well what're the other parts?" I asked.
"I'm not telling you!" She responded stubbornly.
I sighed.
"Well I guess I have to congratulate you. Your plan worked pretty well." I said half-sarcastically.

She just giggled
"I won't kill you now, but if you ever try that again...well let's just say it wouldn't be pleasant. Or maybe you would just like a little taste of hypothermia right now?" I said to her.
"I won't! I won't! Probably." She mumbled the last part.
"WHAT?!" I exclaimed.
She was already running to the living room. I chased after her but she ran around and hid behind Mina
"Help!" Ura pleaded.
Mina smirked.
"Hey guys? How about we play seven minutes in heaven?"

The Rocky Shore
This is a LitRPG series. Every story you read here takes place in the same virtual world, with the same rules and limitations. Characters will travel, explore vast and dangerous realms, overcome obstacles, meet one another, enter into conflicts with one another, forge alliances, make horrible mistakes, and occasionally just die. A technological singularity has been achieved, and humanity has been trapped in a virtual world by a super-intelligent, self-improving artificial intelligence. This program is not malicious at all. In fact, it desires nothing except the happiness and fulfillment of every human it has copied into itself. If its decisions seem strange to you, that's only because its reasoning is far beyond ours. It recognizes that humans cannot be happy without enemies to overcome and goals to achieve, as well as the possibility of failure and death. The world it has created may be heaven or hell, depending on the free choices of the people it contains. The non-player characters who live in this realm have no idea that they are part of a vast computer system. They seem real enough, but there is no way to tell if they are truly self-aware. Even the system that created them isn't certain. This is world in which all the things that humans are used to dealing with in the abstract: skills, talents, knowledge, reputation, social status, morality, even love, exist as readable statistics that players can see and interact with objectively. This has many curious and complex effects on how people perceive themselves and the world around them. A few quick notes on the system: -Death is permanent -The system interface can only be accessed at certain locations. -Magic of diverse kinds is available and useful, but is not a good substitute for skills, physicallity, or mental prowess. Non-magical characters are common and competitive. -There is no inventory system. Characters must physically carry everything they wish to have on their person. -Healing is slow and difficult. Magical Healing is all but unheard of. Protagonists: Raymond Garrison- A man in his late twenties who used to work as a forklift operator in Idaho. His path leads him to work as a mercenary, protecting a small community of humans and goblins from the Seelie Fae who wish to exterminate them. Patricia Chandler- A elderly British woman who arrives in this new world with her grandson Kyle and her granddaughter Elizabeth. Never having dealt with rpg game mechanics before, she is in for a rough time, but she is determined to keep her grandkids alive in a world full of danger and evil. Jamil Mesbah- An Egyptian woman who once worked as a technical writer. Her path leads into a vast and hostile forest, where she must master both her magical abilities and her survival skills in order to succeed. Enjoy your travels, friends.
