《Water and Ice | Shoto Todoroki》Chapter 2-Testing, Testing...1, 2, 3

I stepped in between the blonde kid and the green kid.
"Just leave him alone you jerk!" I said with as much courage as I could manage.
"Excuse me? Who the hell are you?" The guy seemed more surprised than anything.
"Um..." I started to lose my sudden courage from earlier.
Thankfully, the teacher showed up.
"In your seats." He said.
Was he in a...sleeping bag?
"You could be going to orientation today, but you aren't. Today we're going to do a test to measure both your ability physically and your ability to use your quirk. Now go change into your P.E. uniforms and come outside after you're done." The teacher finished explaining the task to us.
Everyone headed off to the locker room to change.
Once everyone was outside, the teacher explained exactly what we'd be doing. He asked that blonde kid to throw the ball and it seemed like it went pretty far. I learned that his name was actually Bakugo, but I knew I would come up with a good nickname soon enough.
Once it was my turn to throw the ball, I thought about my strategy. I could just make it float off on a cloud, or I could do a powerful throw with a water boost. I barely had control over my ice, so it probably wouldn't help me.
"Y/n, it's your turn." The teacher said.
I took the ball from him and decided to use my water. I threw it with an extra boost of water and it only went a little farther than Bakugo's.
"YOU THINK YOU'RE BETTER THAN ME YOU DAMN EXTRA?!" He started yelling.
"Um...no?" I replied as I returned to my original spot.
"Nice job!" Uraraka congratulated me.
"Thanks, and good luck!" I said as her name was called.

She used her quirk to make it float and I was amazed by her score.
"Wow! That was awesome!" I said as I high-fived her.
I could feel Bakugo's fury radiating from across the group. I also noticed that red and white boy staring at me.
"Todoroki." The teacher called.
The boy walked up to throw.
So that was his name, Todoroki.
"He was TOTALLY staring at you just now!" Uraraka whisper shouted to me.
I smiled but shrugged.
"And he's kind of cute." She wiggled her eyebrows at me.
I laughed and elbowed her. I saw another girl coming over to us.
"Hi! I'm Ashido, Mina!" She said while smiling.
"I'm L/n, F/n. Nice to meet you!" I replied.
I held out my hand to shake but she hugged me. I was a little surprised but hugged back.
"This isn't a tea party ladies, let's stay focused." Aizawa Sensei said while looking at us.
I got embarrassed and nodded.
The rest of the class finished with pretty average scores, except for the one green haired kid that made it pretty far. I'm pretty sure his name is Deku, since Bakugo was shouting it so much after he got a good score.
We finished up the rest of the training and headed back inside for our normal classes. I was sitting at my desk and taking notes when a felt a warm hand brush against me. I looked over saw that it was Todoroki trying to pass me a piece of paper. I took it and unfolded it under my desk as quietly and secretly as I could. I read it and then looked over at him. I nodded and folded the paper back up before stuffing it in my pocket.
For some reason, Todoroki wanted to meet with me after class.
