《The Forgotten Sith》Part 1(revised)

The year is 3,696 BBY. The young Sith, Darth Chaos sat in complete darkness one with the dark side of the Force inside a Sith shrine on Dromund Kaas. He recalled his time within Jedi temple and being turned away his desire to use the Force that went against the Council, out of spite he turned to the Dark Side and his new master Darth Chartis.
Back when he served the Jedi he was known as Tamus Cragg, he was weak, a slave to the Light and puppet of the Jedi. Even when he served as a Jedi Padawan, he was strong in the Force. That was not enough for Tamus, he wanted more. He wanted to study all aspects of the Force even the knowledge of the Dark Side. Now, with the aid of Darth Chartis, Darth Chaos can wield the greatest power in the galaxy.
Present...
Chaos sat in a meditative state for hours harnessing his dark power before he began his mission...to kill a sitting member on the Jedi Council. He salivated at the chance. To wreak havoc upon his enemy and kill those who turned their backs on him.
His Master was a member of the Dark Hand and was a shoe in to sit on Emperor's the Dark Council. Chaos though hated the Dark Hand, it reminded him of the Jedi. He felt as though the Sith was too great in number and believed that it should operate on a smaller scale. However, when he brought his concerns to his master he was punished severely. In response, Chartis set in motion plans to destroy the Hand and prove to the Dark Council that not only was The Hand a waste of resources but that he should be a member of the Council.
Darth Chaos continued to sit alone within the Sith shrine harnessing the Force. So much was riding on this one mission. He could exact his revenge and return to his Master triumphant. He was also a tool for his master to destroy the Hand. That however was not Darth Chaos' only plan. Once he devours his prey and then destroy the Hand, he would kill Chartis and take his spot as a Dark Lord of the Sith and Council member.
The Jedi Temple was majestic, a wonder among the many mountain size skyscrapers that towered over it. Though Coruscant contained many awe aspiring architectural feats the Jedi Temple was among it's best. Inside the halls were vast and luxurious. Hundreds of students walked the corridors alongside each other or there assigned Master. Nahum Nadd, a young apprentice wore his traditional Jedi apprentice robe and long braid down his face showing his rank, walked slowly with his head down to the ground listening as his master as he spoke.
"I trained you since you were a boy Nahum, I watched you grow into a man and I can say with joy that I am proud. For today you will be prompted to Knighthood," the tall broad shoulder Twi'lek said with joy.
"I am here because of you my master. Your guidance, your training, and fine example deserves praise Master Elav."
Master Elav was known for his deep connection with the Force, most of all his knowledge, not only of the Force but also science, and technology. He smiled and gently placed his hand on Nahum's shoulder as they walked inside the Chamber of Masters.
Both master Elav and Nahum stood outside the chamber. Elav was worried, perhaps more worried than his Padawan. Nahum was commissioned to seek out a galactic reporter who is on the run from Mandalorian warriors after unveiling an attack on the Republic. It would not bother Elav so much if he had to travel to old Sith territory. This was Nahum's test, his final test to become a Jedi Knight.

"This mission will be dangerous Nahum, the power of the dark side will tempt you, unlike anything you have ever endured," Elva explained.
Nahum nodded in understanding. "I know master, but I must do this. You trained me to be strong and to be one with the Force. To challenge this is to challenge your own training."
Elav grew a faint smile on his aged face. "You are wise Nahum. Perhaps I trained you too well."
Nint Dann was Rodian reporter for the Galactic News Media. On his person was the key to the Republic's very survival. He held a data card with information explaining details about an attack against the republic by the Sith. However, the Sith had not been unseen or unheard of for many years yet this reporter saw with his own eyes the Dark Council and their involvement with the Mandalorians. He quenched onto his inner jacket pocket, which held the data card and rested on the space freighter of smuggled weapons and equipment through the industry section of Dromund Kaas. His plan was to find a spaceport and hope on the first flight off the rock.
This story would be the biggest news since the Hyperspace Wars. He could land any job and any position he wished with a story like this. Truth is he was a simple holo-net blogger reporting about conspiracy theories and Senate cover-ups. No one paid much attention to his blogs or even knew who he was. As he rested, he thought to himself of the possibility of selling the data card to the highest bidder, maybe an information trafficker. The credits would pay for his way to retire in the outer rim and get away from the madness that is the Galactic Republic.
"Yeah, and Kowakians would fly out of my butt," he thought.
Though the very moment he thought about it the dream faded. He had to report this to the republic and the Jedi. He sat in the foul-smelling cargo bay. The roar of the engines clouded his hearing so much he could barely hear his own thoughts. They soared through Kaas City to a nearby hanger. He sat with what life-forms that inhabited the planet, who sought refuge. The people of Dromund Kaas were slaves to the dark power of the Sith. Like many within the Republic, even the Jedi believed that The Dark Council controlled the Sith territory. They failed to see that the Emperor was the true ruler of the Sith and it's Empire.
Nint replayed in his mind what on of the Dark Council members, Darth Jadus said to the king of the Mandalorian. "Our Master, the Emperor of the Sith," Someone darker, someone stronger, someone more powerful was at the helm of the Sith Order. Their reign of terror was evident on Dromund Kaas and if the Jedi and the Republic are not told the entire Galaxy would soon fall. Nint recorded the meeting between Jadus and the Mandalorian. They would soon attack the Temple after the Jedi and Sith would meet in the name of peace. How and when though, Nint did not know. He knew though it would be soon, every fiber in his being told him that.
The transporter finally docked to its destination. Nint slowly lifted, the wound to his leg was great. A servant of the King of the Mandalor fired a round at him while attempting to flee. He was sure they were on his trail, he had to move fast. Several droids surrounded the freighter preparing to empty it, it was common for them to see organic sentient beings running out of the cargo hold, so no alarms sounded.

Nint found a terminal with access to the inter-link. He sent a message to a close friend about important information that was of great use to the Republic. He encoded the message but for a clever person it will be easy to trace it back to him. He had no time to set barriers and hid the data, he had to send it fast.
"Dear friend...the Republic is under attack, I have proof but I am across the galaxy on the Dormund Kaas system send word to the Jedi...I will see you soon."
Nint left the terminal and placed his hood over his head and blended into the large crowd of refugees.
4 days before....
Darth Chaos kneed before his master along with two other Sith Apprentices, Darth Rouge who studied under Darth Iman and Darth Victoria apprentice to Darth Soul. All three were apprentices to members of the Hand. The Dark Council often held death matches, pitting apprentices against one another, sometimes even against Rankors and even against their masters. Before the three apprentices stood Darth Rufus, the highest ranking Hand member.
"You three Sith warriors are of the best in your class. It is only fitting that only one of you shall join the Dark Hand and serve under the dark side of the Force." Darth Rufus announced.
Sitting high up above in the arena were the members of the Dark Council watching the events that were about to take place and among them sat the Lord of lords, the embodiment of the Sith itself, the Emperor. Amongst the Dark Council the Sith Masters spoke among themselves.
"The Dark Hand is a wasted project. Full of wannabes and weaker vessels." Darth Mekhis proclaimed.
"The emperor choose the Dark Hand to serve us, to carry out his will and to place the blame on them should a problem arise," Darth Jadus explained.
Darth Howl leaned forward. "Precisely. However soon, very soon, their use will no longer be needed." Howl looked to Jadus. "Have you spoke with the Mandalor?"
"He arrives in an hour," Jadus replied.
"Excellent," Howl said.
Darth Soul stepped up, his breath was deep and heavy, though it was not cold, you can still see his breath exit his nose. "The three of you will duel to the death, the last one standing will be crowned the Fist of the Hand.
Darth Rufus was Wookie with incredible strength and known as a great duelist. He howled out as other Sith acolytes cheered out inside the battle arena. The members of the Dark Hand left the floor leaving only the three apprentices. Darth Rouge was a master assassin, he was responsible of the death of two Republic Generals, a senator, and one Jedi Knight. He was human and wielded a traditional single blade lightsaber, it was small in size which he used for close encounters. Second was Darth Victoria a female Zarbak, she and Chaos trained together in saber duels. She mastered the double blade saber which were also hooked at the hilts.
"This Darth Chaos...what is his story?" Darth Nox asked to the other Dark Council members.
"He was rejected from the Jedi. Chartis discovered him after he managed to drive 6 republic soldiers insane using the Force in a tavern." Darth Howl explained.
The other members of the Dark Council could feel the power of the Dark Side within him. He had potential. "The force is strong in him. I sense his power growing by the minute. More powerful than Chartis and even Rafus." Darth Mekhis added.
"We shall watch with great interest then," Darth Thanton said with high hopes.
Inside the pit the three warriors squared off. Pacing each other looking for an opening. Chaos fought with duel blades usually calling upon the second when the battle is nearing its end. Rouge leaped up in the air going after Victoria first, she summoned the dark side to shroud her cloaking her from their sights. As Rouge landed Chaos attacked, however Rouge was ready and countered. Though stronger then he, Chaos managed to hold his defenses. Rouge leaped again and hammered down upon Chaos who stumbled backwards. Victoria appeared behind Rouge and attacked however he sensed the attack and blocked her sweeping blow to his legs. He turned to Chaos and called upon the force and lifted him from off the ground and hurled him to the wall that surrounded the ring. Rouge again blocked another attack by Victoria who came up from behind him. She swirled her staff like crimson blade over her head and unleashed a flurry of swipes each though blocked by Rouge. Rouge attacked however Victoria used force lightning to slow him down. He blocked it with his blade but this was only a distraction, she appeared to his right and attacked, her strikes were overwhelming. Rouge managed to gain his footing, however Chaos stepped in, force pushing Victoria away. Wanting to take all the glory Chaos attacked Rouge again. As he attacked he pull his second blade from his cloak and ignited the deadly weapon. The hum of the blade was heard throughout the arena. No one including the viewer saw it until it was to late. He slashed right to left, however with the force push from Victoria the tip of Chaos blade gently glanced Rouge's face.
"He's mine," Victoria declared.
"Then take him from me," Chaos responded.
The two former contemporaries battled. They were evenly matched. That was until Chaos attached the two hilts making it a double blade lightsaber. His attacks became more violent and more powerful. His power became evident throughout the arena, several acolytes began to develop head pains as Chaos's power grew. Their use of the lightsabers was like a series of dancing lights. Sparks flashed as a result of the clashing sabers. For the Dark Council, they too felt that power and were most intrigued. Rouge attacked however Chaos managed to defend himself with ease. Both tried to out power him but the more he fought the more powerful he became. He kicked Rouge and sliced off his hand that held his lightsaber using a Force choked him and kept him suspend in the air, at the same time spun around slicing through Victoria's double-blade saber hilt and through her neck.
The crowd roared as they witnessed Victoria's head topple and roll across the pit floor. Darth Rouge was still suspended in midair struggling to breathe. Darth Chaos stepped forward to him. "You are in my way of absolute power."
Chaos turned to face the Dark Hand then back to Rouge who was turning blue. He released the choke and watched as he grasped for air. Calling upon the Force Chaos crept into Rouge's mind causing the apprentice to know true fear. Slowly a sharp pain ran across Rouge's mind. He shrieked in terror, the pain only got worse. He grabbed hold onto his head trying to call upon the Dark Side to end the never-ending cycle of pain. Chaos looked at him with a sadist and amusing grin. Finally, as the pain grew beyond what Rouge could handle his mind exploded like a grenade. Brain matter, skull, and blood covered the floor and spattered across Chaos. He did not care to wipe the chunks of brain and blood off his face. He walked across the ring and fell to one knee before the Hand.
"I swayed my victims. Give me my title of the Fist of the Hand."
The Dark Hand was impressed as were the Dark Council who higher up in the dark rafters.
"It seems Darth Chartis your unorthodox training molded this warrior into a powerful specimen," Darth Rufus stated.
"Thank you, my lord," He replied.
"It wasn't praise to you Chartis." Darth Rufus shot forth.
The other Hand members turned to leave. As they disappeared into the exiting tunnel, Chartis watched them in anger and grimaced. His power swelled. Darth Chaos walked to his side.
"Allow me to end them my Master for you," he said boldly.
"No, not right now," Darth Chartis replied. "First, you will undergo one final test before I unleash you on the Hand. First you will get what you have been wanting since I found you."
Darth Chao's eyes widen, his blood boiled, his dark energy began to rise. "The Jedi?"
"Yes, my apprentice," Darth Chartis simply replied. "The Jedi."

The Thaumatist Incident
The towers fell over a century ago, and the Good King united the land. Under his voice the Thaumatists took the knee or took the sword. The University still stands, but for how long? This story is broken up into two parts. Chronologically, the two parts overlap. Part One Emile, a girl with a Talent not seen since the good king's war as she tries to find help to save her beloved father from a cruel accident. Julie, raised in a small farming village on her quest to become someone people will sing about. Part Two Wendel, a recent graduate of the University, an intense school that functions first as a police force to control the use of magic and secondly as an educational institution. Demetrius, a servant at the school who loses his home and his safety. Edits are ongoing. Reviews and comments will only help the editing the process, and I am grateful for any and all input. So, if you have been reading already, Jericho has been removed. It's been brought to my attention that his chapters detract from the flow of the narrative. They still exist, and are still going to be made available at some point in some way shape or form, but for the time being what happens with him and the king in Puissant city will be off camera so to speak.
