《Star Wars: Rebirth of the Sith》Chapter 10

Darth Scath took a moment to look around. It was completely black. No light source at all. He and Luna both ignited a lightsaber while some of the others took torches from the shuttles and activated them. "Everyone, split up and search the area for some sort of control console. We may be able to get power online" ordered Luna.
The crew split up and began scouring the hanger for anything of use. Darth Scath didn't move. He stood completely still searching the ship through the force. As luna approached him he said "There are no life signs on this ship but I feel something. Not hostile to us but something none the less".
"General, I found a console!" shouted one of the Sith troopers. Luna had preferred to be addressed as general as that is what position Scath adorned her with. She walked over to the console that had been found. There was a huge red lever on the side of it. She proceeded to pull it downwards. As she did the console itself powered on. She activated the sub-systems. Everything was dormant except life support and shields, both of which were fully functioning. She reset all the other systems and entered a command code and the entire hangar lit up. Just like the ship itself the hanger was huge. Both walls of the hanger were holding starfighters of an old Sith design. There were at least fifty starfighters in all.
"My Lord, this terminal has the blueprints for the ship. I can download them onto my comm-link and get us to the bridge" advised Luna.
"Excellent. Maybe we will find out more about this vessel when we get there." Replied Scath. There was something changing inside him. When he thought of vengeance he began to get surges of energy flowing through him not unlike adrenaline. His hurt was slowly changing to anger. But he could feel his power increasing and he was eager to test it.
"Also there are no signs of life being picked up on the ships scanners, as you felt" she said.
"Yet there is something here, not alive, not dead. But there is a presence" he replied.
"I am downloading the data onto my comm-link. Lord Scath, all these ships are fully fuelled and armed. They are ready for battle. Its like this ship has been left dormant, not deserted and certainly not under any kind of attack or siege." Said Luna.
"Done! This way" said Luna ash she walked to a nearby staircase and up through a doorway as the rest followed her.
"Keep your blades and blasters high, we don't know what to expect" advised Scath who remained at the back of the troops.
The continued walking down a long white hallway. They stopped and Luna opened a door on her left that led into a staircase which they climbed. And back into another white hallway. The walking seemed endless but eventually came to the command bridge.

"Well, I don't believe the lore I read" laughed Luna. She was right. There was no way that this ship could be piloted by one person. There was one main flight console and four sub consoles. Then there was a terminal sitting above all the others with a seat that looked different from the rest.
Luna proceeded and connected her comm-link to the main flight console. "Pulling up ship data now" she said. Then the consoles on the flight deck powered on. A few of the Sith troopers went to the various flight consoles. Luna remained at the main console.
"My Lord, all the engines are fully operational and fuel reserves are at 100%" said one of the troopers.
"I can confirm that shields and weapons are fully charged also" advised another troop.
"These guns are primarily automatic. No manual aiming is needed unless requested. Hyperdrive is fully operational. And so is something called a 'Force Cannon'." Said Luna. "That's the console up there that activates it" she said as she walked up the steps to the singled out terminal. She powered it on but she couldn't get it to operate. She tried plugging in her comm-link but it did nothing. "My Lord, the force cannon isn't responding to anything I do. What is it?" asked Luna.
Darth Scath walked up to the terminal and placed his hands on the operating controls and the console responded.
"It likes me. Doesn't like you. " Joked Scath, or was he joking? Luna couldn't tell. "The force cannon is a superweapon with the power to obliterate a planet with a single shot. It is powered by pure dark side energy and can only be operated by one who has a certain level of power. Power that I have thanks to this mask." Explained Scath.
"This ship was definitely left dormant. It was not abandoned. There is no way." Suggested Luna.
"General Luna, Lord Scath, you might want to see this" said one of the pilots. Luna and Scath descended to the Main flight terminal.
The both looked at the terminal. "This ship has a multitude of interesting areas. It says that there are multiple crafting stations, all worked at by droids, that create lightsabers and blaster modifications for the crew on this ship. There is a huge armoury. There is an armour construction facility again manned by droids. There is a large hanger with, what looks to be five hundred Sith assassin droids all armed and accounted for. There are Sith battle tanks and siege weapons. But what is really, well, a spectacle, is that there is a droid creation facility with an output capacity of around one hundred droids a day, again, manned by droids. This is a battle station!" Said the sith Trooper.
"Amazing. Luna, once we make the jump to light speed I want you to explore these areas and find out if these facilities are all still here and operational." Commanded Scath

"Yes my lord" she replied as she plugged her commlink in again. "There is a subroutine here that is said to activate the droids. I will run the sub routine now." As she did Scath felt the presence again only this time stronger.
"The droids are here. That was the presence I felt when we first arrived" He explained. He walked over to the force cannon terminal and sat down. "Set a course for Korriban and make the jump to lightspeed" her said. "Luna, take a group and check out the various stations on the ship. As best you can. The ship is massive so explore what you can."
"Yes my lord" she replied as she took four soldiers and left the command bridge.
"When we exit at Korriban we may appear in the middle of a war. Follow my orders exactly" he said as the ship jumped to lightspeed. He sat and began to hone his powers until they reached Korriban.
Luna got to the end of the first corridor and found a strange device , like an elevator. She entered it with the troops and looked at the small console. It was giving her a list of destinations. "What have we here?" she said. "Workshop, lets try you first". She pressed the code that the system gave her for the workshop. They felt a very slight movement from the room they were in just after the door closed. Within seconds the door opened and the console confirmed that they had arrived at the workshop. "This must not be operating, we cannot be at the workshop. Its at the other end of the ship from the bridge" she said, a little confused.
They all walked out into a familiar white hallway and through the door to the right. AS the door opened they had to stop. The door they opened led them into what seemed to be the workshop. There was a droid at the doorway. It stopped to address a very confused Darth Luna. "Hello Masters, how may we assist you?" the droid asked.
"I am Darth Luna, General of this ship. Please state your primary protocols." She commanded.
"We are X-03 utility droids. Our primary protocol is to create, maintain and modify weaponry for the creators of this ship." Replied the droid. "We create and modify lightsabers and blasters, they are amongst our most common requisitions. There are plenty ready to be claimed."
"Troops, arm up. These rifles are far superior that our own. Take a lightsaber each. It may be needed" Luna ordered. "What is the device outside that transported me to you from the bridge at such speed?"
"It is an instantaneous hyperlift. It runs off the ships hyperdrive and transports you to any set station within the pathfinder almost instantly".
"Amazing" said Luna in disbelief. "You may carry on." Luna and her squad entered the hyperlift and keyed in the code for the Assault bay. Surely as it did before they were there in a few seconds. They walked down to the durasteel doors and keyed in the ships main access code and the doors opened. As they walked in the lights slowly powered on. Disbelief was becoming a very common theme. There were hundreds of Sith assassin droids. All armed and awaiting orders. There were troop transports and battle tanks. "This is remarkable" said Luna. She walked over to the droids and commanded, "I am Darth Luna, general of the Sith. What is your purpose?".
One droid responded "We are X-01 assassin droids. We are programmed to follow your orders. We are competent fighters and we can commandeer these vehicles. In the hanger you will have noticed starships. They themselves are droids in reality." Replied the droid.
"Good. Stay here and await my command" she said.
"Affirmative".
Just then Luna's comms activated. "Luna, I need you back at the bridge. We are nearly at Korriban." Asked Scath.
"Yes my lord - troops , back to the bridge!". Within thirty seconds Luna was standing in front of Scath, who was a little confused.
"How did you get back so quickly?" he asked.
"There is a network of hyperlifts throughout the ship making travel instantaneous" she replied
"Amazing, what other news do you have?"
"There is an armoury with fantasic weapons and armour. There are droids crafting and modifying armour constantly. The Hanger we arrived in doesn't hold starfighters. The are actually droids but function as pilotless starfighters. And we found another hanger bay with hundreds of droids, multiple tanks and troop transports, all armed. And finally we found a droid construction unit. And its deployable. We have our army" She said
"Indeed" replied Scath as he stood up. "Sith warriors! Soon we will arrive at Korriban. We will take it back for our own. We will show the galaxy the power of the Sith. We will forge a new path through the chaos and eliminate all who stand in our way. Believe in the force, it will set you free!"
The bridge erupted as they cheered. They all stopped to salute him. Darth Luna simply bowed her head in a show of respect. He had given them something to fight for. He had given them purpose. They all believed that he would be their salvation. But all this power comes at a cost.

Journey of Infinite Steps
Science Fiction/ Low fantasy Iliad. Oliver just wanted a job that could keep his family fed, and himself sane. Was that so much to ask for? Apparently. As he instead ends up facing monsters and dodging his way to another world instead. Competent as he views himself figuring out how to reopen a portal back home by himself is defiantly above his knowledge base. Of coarse it would be vastly simpler if he could keep 'getting back home' as his primary goal. 'Staying alive' is unfortunately a far more immediate and relevant goal. I will post any content warnings on a Per Chapter basis. Divisive content will be as skip-able as I can reasonably manage Discord Link will be available for those interested in assisting editing/ coauthoring. Especially character writers/those willing to work out the math/ economies and world building even if only as a wall to bounce ideas off of.-----Full Synapsis contains serious spoilers----- Looking to take care of his family, Oliver finds himself flung into a faraway place. Try as he might, his Iliad will not be simple or peaceful as he'd like. Alas the slow and unending war of Chaos and Order has long memories and longer reach. If Oliver is to make his way back home it looks like He'll have to solve the universe one fight and mystery at a time. Especially as the Laws of Physics shift, often on a per world basis. Hopefully there is still a home to come back to.

New Paris [a Modern-day LitRPG]
New Paris [OR] I reincarnated into the world of my favorite wuxia novel as an S ranker with unbalanced skills. [Volume 1] - Completed I was one of those people who only stood out in a crowd when their name was called. Then, I died. But instead of heaven, hell, or anything else, I found myself in the body of a young woman whom I did not recognise at first. You see, I had this novel I was obsessed with. The novel was a fairly popular wuxia that got a few sequels, and a handful of spinoffs. One of these spinoffs took place in Paris, where the main cast fought against a multi-millionaire villain. When I woke up after dying, I eventually realised that I was now the third daughter of this multi-millionaire end-game boss in a spin-off of a sequel of my favourite novel. Does this make any sense to you? Because it doesn't to me. But I guess I might as well make the most of it now. Just gotta stay away from some of the more unstable main characters and cut all ties with my 'family' to avoid certain death. [Volume 2] - Currently Airing It had not been a good idea to interfere with the characters of the original novel. Had I known it was going to cause a butterfly effect, I would have stayed in my lane and minded my business. Although, between the suspicious attacks I seem to constantly find myself in the center of, and my 'family' who is the living definition of the expression 'rich pricks', I’m not entirely sure my current predicament would have been avoidable. But maybe it isn't to be avoided; maybe I should embrace this opportunity that has been given to me and become the hero of this story? At least it's certain that I can't do worse than the original protagonist in terms of moral ambiguity; with immortality already in my pocket, and no other useful skills to account for. However, if I were to follow this path, I would have a lot to lose, including an upcoming promotion and my growing relationship with my crush. With power, glory and whatever else on one side, and my wellbeing and happiness on the other, even in this magical wuxia world, the choice is easy to make.
