《Son of the Dark (Male Sith Reader X Female Jedi)》Chapter 16: Sabotage

Our ship exited hyperspace as we found ourselves a few kilometers away from Dooku and Grievous' Providence-class dreadnought. Aleera toned down the speed quickly, while I frantically searched for the cloaking lever.
(Y/N): "You said we had one right?"
I asked, Aleera sighed and reached over to a lever just out of my field of view. We successfully cloaked out of sight while we headed towards the dreadnought.
Aleera: "Are you sure you want to do this?"
She asked. I looked at her, she had a faint sense of worry on her.
(Y/N): "We have no choice in the matter. They won't stop hunting us."
She knew I was right. But nevertheless her deep fears persisted.
Aleera: "I know but-"
(Y/N): "I know you are scared. I can feel your fear, but you're not alone. You have me."
I comforted, she smiled.
(Y/N): "We'll protect each other."
I said, sliding my hand onto hers.
Droid: "The docking platform in Sector B-9 seems to be operating. Even though there is nothing there."
A droid noticed.
Droid 2: "What do we do? Is there a protocol for this?"
Other droids in the hallway looked each other, spouting responses in a mix of noise.
Droid: "Maybe we check on it."
Droid 2: "I will go check on it."
The battle droid stepped over to the door, looking at the controls as it opened. The droid and it's fellow mechanical mooks all stepped back once they saw the glow of a blue lightsaber.
Droid: "Oh no."
Aleera struck down the droid who opened the door, while (Y/N) flipped over her and threw his red lightsaber at the further group of droids, cutting them all down to size as his lightsaber was pulled back towards him. He retracted his red blade as he nodded towards her, she only smiled back.
(Y/N): "Let's blow this popsicle stand."

He lifted up, tossed and caught a coaxium container rigged with an explosive timer.
Aleera: "Please tell me this is Dooku's ship, I wouldn't want to have flown all the way here for nothing."
(Y/N): "Positive, I was a former commander in the Separatist Navy. I remember the designations for all the important ships. This is one of them, this is Dooku and Grievous's ship."
Aleera: "Very well, do you want to split into two? To cover more ground."
(Y/N): "Have you seen the way that goes in those movies? They never work out well."
Aleera: "Fair point. Fine, let's go together."
She said, motioning for (Y/N) to follow her. He did so as he force-pushed the remains of the droids they sliced up into the ship they arrived in, closing it too in the process.
(Y/N): "Don't leave me here love."
Aleera: "Don't call me that (Y/N)."
She whined.
(Y/N): "Why not?"
Aleera: "That was one kiss, we haven't really thought this through."
(Y/N): "So you don't want me to-"
Aleera: "Oh quiet down you."
She scolded playfully.
The two made their way past hallways, dodging droid platoons and security measurements by the dozen. Until they made their way to the central reactor, having gone through ventilation shafts and evading droids. The two of them eventually found their way to the reactor core undetected. Two B2 Super Battle Droids were guarding the door to the compound.
Aleera: "Any bright ideas, (Y/N)?"
The sith grinned, he looked to Aleera and spoke.
(Y/N): "Droids are dumb, most of the time the manufacturers forget to update their facial recognition systems. Watch this..."
He got up before she was able to stop him, and walked over to the two guards. They both aimed their wrist-blasters towards him as he approached. (Y/N) had his hands behind his back and strutted like a peacock, all proud and full of himself.

(Y/N): "Evening soldiers."
Super Battle Droid: "Evening? Officer (L/N)? The current time is, 7:23 AM. Serenno time."
(Y/N): "Is it now?"
He chuckled.
(Y/N): "... I guess I forgot to set my Galactic Time Tracker. Anyways, your shift is off soldiers, both of you, the Count has assigned me for reactor check-up. I'm here as Dooku's personal inspector."
Super Battle Droid 2: "Is there a Personal Inspector scheduled for today?"
Super Battle Droid 1: "I have no record of it."
(Y/N): "All the more reason to take your breaks gentle-bots. Update your interfaces, relax."
He force pushed the two into a nearby elevator.
(Y/N): "I insist..."
He grinned viciously. Closing the elevator. Aleera leaned against the wall, shaking her head slowly.
Aleera: "You do have a lot of pride (Y/N)..."
She lightly chastised. The Sith scoffed back.
(Y/N): "And that's a bad thing?"
He chuckled a bit.
Aleera: "There's a chance they will unknowingly report your mysterious behaviour to Dooku."
(Y/N): "We'll be long gone by then..."
He smiled back, as the door to the reactor opened. He held out three vials of hyperfuel.
(Y/N): "Let's give this ship an overdose shall we?"
Stupid battle droids were scouring the far corners of Separatist territory, even passing the boundaries of Hutt and Republic space yet there was no word. Our only sign was the destruction of my entire retrieval team on Nal Hutta. Yet we couldn't send an Army there because I was under orders from Dooku specifically not to.
Battle Droid: "Sir, the planet of Mygeeto has been searched throughout, along with Muulinist, CIS-controlled Umbara, Dathomir and Cato Nemodia. That adds another four to the list of all Confederacy controlled worlds we have searched."
Dooku: "A most disappointing show of force General, I am very dissatisfied with your lack of progress."
Grievous: "My good Count, I have exhausted our resources finding former Admiral (L/N). I believe it would be best to finally give up on this."
Droid: "Sir, we have searched anoth-"
I raised my arm and smashed the insolent droid with it, splitting it into two. It's tattered remnants fell to the floor as other watching droids turned back as quick as they could to their computers.
Grievous: "Enough! Count. I do not see the value of this insignificant."
Dooku held up his hand, I paused. Then sighed.
Grievous: "...Speak."
Dooku:" I appreciate your concern of military resources, but Darth (S/N) must not escape out grasp. He has already been reported on Coruscant, Nal Hutta and taken out a gang of thugs. The revolt of one of our higher ranking officers would pose a threat in the form of Republic propaganda, endlessly telling the story of the Separatist General who defected. He might have had potential but sadly, he is now a liability and a threat to the separatist cause."
Suddenly, the ship's engines threw itself into hyperdrive. I grabbed a droid's chair as the ship's sudden jump three the entire bridge into mayhem.
Dooku: "You insolent fool what have you done!?"
I looked at him with bewilderment. The ship was going three times the limit. The hull was tearing itself apart!
Grievous: "I haven't done anything My Lord! The hyperdrive has seemed to activate itself!"
I yelled, as Droids began to smash against the walls destroyed. Dooku's expression suddenly sharpened, as he grumbled in a fury I have seldom ever seen him in.
Dooku: "I feel, a presence...
Grievous: "Kill the reactor!"
I pointed and shouted at one of the pilot droids who was still alive. He was able to access the reactor and completely release about 98.2% of the output. The ship slowed down to almost a halt.
Grievous: "Where are we!?"
I yelled, a droid monitoring a map quickly responded.
Droid: "Somewhere in the furthest reaches of the Outer Rim."
Dooku's anger only rose to unprecedented levels I have never seen him reach.
Dooku: "(L/N)..."

Shadows in the Dawn Mist
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] - Winner November 2020 When a young woman is lured back to her homeland for the opportunity of a life time, she must face old fears. But never would she think that facing up to her past would change everything. Is History written by the victors, or by someone or something else...? *** I started writing this a few years ago and eventually fell out of love with it. I never finished it and my newer books are being written in different writing style, and genre with a more planned process. I decided to revisit it for the writathon and found that it wasn't as hopeless as I'd come to think. Hopefully, I've improved as a writer since them so the consistency may vary. Its been good to revisit and analyse my writing which I feel used to have some clunky and obvious dialogue which I'm trying to fix. This will always be my first novel and I hope, with a little exposure, I may come to like it again. Thanks for reading!

Daily life of a cultivation judge
Tired of those cultivators who think it is righteous to eliminate a sect or clan root and stem all in the name of revenge and avoiding future troubles, fights over treasures that end up destroying cities with no consequence whatsoever to the culprit, these psychos whose aim for the peak always involves a trail of carnage and bloodshed in its wake for some reason. Then look no further than the daily life of a cultivation judge. Yang Qing, is a young genius cultivator from a low-tier family whose only safe choice to get resources and hopefully lead an easy life led him to the courts of the Cultivation Order Society. Author’s disclaimer: Hey there this is my first novel so any criticism will be well taken though beware I’m a million-year-old monster who has cultivated the way of the sword to the peak. The daily life of a cultivation judge will be true to its name so it will be heavily on the slice of life lane with a bit of action here and there.Meaning we will see the life of Yang Qing when he clocks in and out. Hopefully, it will be one of those novels you read if you need to relax or are in a slacker mood like one of those otakus who listen to the noises of cicadas in the summer famously used in most animes. And it is in the slacker spirit that chapter release will be on Wednesday,Thursday and Friday. Sank yuuu Cover art by Conny Schneider on Unsplash
