《Son of the Dark (Male Sith Reader X Female Jedi)》Chapter 10: Fugitive

"Things are not always as they seem; the first appearance deceives many."
A clone's voice shot through the intercoms as we exited the weapon storage room.
Fox: "Lock down the facility, we have two escapees trying to break out. All security forces are ordered to engage and subdue these criminals!"
(Y/N): "Blast! Aleera, do you know where the platform you landed on is?"
Aleera: "Of course I do, I'm not stupid. Come on."
She said, igniting both of her lightsabers.
The both of us ran past a few cheering inmates as a group of clones blocked our exit.
Clone: "Surrender Jedi!"
Aleera: "Don't kill them (Y/N)."
She spoke with her teeth clenched, giving me a stare which asked for a response.
(Y/N): "Yeah, got it. No deaths."
I deactivated and holstered my red lightsaber, quickly raising my hand and unleashing lightning onto the group of guards. They all screamed in an orchestral unison as they dropped onto the ground like flies, true to my word though I made sure that not one was harmed mortally.
(Y/N): "See, not one killed."
Aleera: "Come on, let's go."
She nudged, I nodded quickly while we continued to pass by the downed group of clones.
(Y/N): "There's the main exit!"
I pointed and shouted. Though a clone trooper came to the aid of the damn door and stood between us and freedom wielding a riot shield and an electrostaff. Aleera stopped me as she turned off her lightsabers and tried to converse with the clone who seemed to be of a higher rank.
Aleera: "Fox, you need to let us out."
The commander shook his head strictly.
Fox: "Can't do that sir, I have orders carried over from Chancellor Palpatine himself. General Viola, (Y/N) (L/N), you are both under arrest."

(Y/N): "No we aren't."
I boast as I raised my hand and 'forced' him across the room over to the opposite end of the hall, using the Force again to shut the metal door separating us and the commander.
Fox: "NooooOOOOO!"
We heard the sound of fists colliding with the metal, as he yelled in anger behind the barrier.
Aleera: "Come on (Y/N), the ship's this way."
She motioned, cutting through the door efficiently and busting past the molten metal using the Force. I followed close behind.
Spotlights shone on us from a guard tower while the both of us were making our way to Aleera's... Fighter Aircraft?
(Y/N): "Why'd you bring your own personal fighter here?"
Aleera: "Oh dear... I may have messed up..."
(Y/N): "What are we gonna do now?"
She looked around, her green eyes then zeroed in on an old rusty Defenders-Class light corvette.
Aleera: "There's our ride!"
I fumbled around with my words a bit, clearly she was crazy... was she?
(Y/N): "That's an Old Republic-Era ship! It doesn't even look like it can get off this platform without having it's armor plates fall off!"
Aleera: "It's that or having to cram into my one-woman starfighter."
She proclaimed, grabbing my hand as we began to make our way towards the ship.
A lone Twi-Lek walked out of the freighter as I shoved him aside, amidst his angry foreign tongue spiking the air we ran into the old corvette. Aleera made her way into the cockpit as I made my way into the upper turret in order to repel any would-be chasers.
(Y/N): "I hope you're not over-estimating yourself."
Aleera: "(Y/N), you underestimate me."
She called from the driver's seat. I rolled my eyes and laughed a bit.

The ship slowly began to start as I began to hear pinging against the hull of the ship. Blaster fire.
(Y/N): "Are we waiting for the clones outside to die of old age?"
I joked, Aleera laughed as the engine then fired up, we were off of the platform in no time.
(Y/N): "Get us out of here!"
The corvette shook as we ascended into Coruscant's upper atmosphere. Two republic gunships began trailing us as I fired warning shots in order to try and lose them. They both eventually left the chase since we were getting higher into the atmosphere once we leapt into hyperspace Aleera placed the ship's drive on autopilot as I exited the turret room. We both met in one of the cargo holds as we both breathed a sigh of relief that we both had escaped.
Aleera: "Well, you're free now... I don't really know what to sa-"
(Y/N): "I do, thank you Aleera. I appreciate your help, even if I might've not needed it."
Aleera: "Hey, I piloted the ship."
She gave me a slight punch on the shoulder. I chuckled.
Aleera: "But now, my Jedi life is practically over. The Chancellor has definitely informed the council of my 'treachery'. I'm willing to bet that they trust the Chancellor more than another one of their own at this point considering the temple bombing that happened a few weeks ago."
Aleera shrugged, plopping herself down on a crate. Then after a moment taking one of her lightsabers and staring at it for a moment.
Aleera: "Strange, how one's life can change so easily. One moment you're the guardian of the Peace. Now, I'm a renegade alongside the Jedi's sworn mortal enemy."
I could see a hint of sadness on her face, I could feel it as well. She risked her life to save me, someone she's supposed to despise. But against the authority of the council she believed in me as an individual, and through her kindness she wanted to give me a second chance.
(Y/N): "Aleera, even should I be a Sith. I am appalled by your hope for me. My life is in your debt."
Aleera looked at me, smiling.
Aleera: "We don't have to be enemies, do we?"
(Y/N): "I do not think I have ever seen anything in either the Sith or the Jedi Codes that prevent us from working together to get somewhere in this broken, divided galaxy. Perhaps, Hutt Space?... free from the jurisdiction of both the Republic and the Separatists, Aleera we could make a living there as I had lived before I was found by Dooku."
I offered, Aleera nodded slightly.
Aleera: "Not too much of a plan, but it's something. Better than nothing."
She agreed, holding out her hand.
Aleera: "Partners?"
I looked at it for a moment, before taking it and shaking it. Possibly forming a partnership the galaxy had never seen in millennia to my knowledge.
(Y/N): "Partners."

BladeMage
Arenya Azural, a dragon-blooded farmer from a small town in the middle of nowhere, always dreamed of being a great hero, battling demons and monsters as a force of magic and power. Now her dream has a chance to become reality - she's a new student at Ba'al Cedric's Academy of Adventurers, a university for warrriors and heroes to learn to battle against the surprisingly amicable demon armies of the neighboring country in an endless war nobody really remembers the point of by now. She's also a BladeMage - an exceedingly rare and exceedingly difficult dual class that few have ever managed to succeed in, but those who have gain immense power. Arenya has a long road ahead of her, with rival students, duels with demons, and a host of benchmarks she must pass in order to keep her scholarship. Will she make it to level 100 and beyond, or die too many times and be forced to return home, tail (literally) between her legs to a life of farming and dreaming of adventure? BladeMage is a LitRPG with a lighter focus on stats. It features battles, leveling up, giant monsters, a bit of fanservice, and more. [Update: The LitRPG elements are proving themselves relatively unimportant as I continue to write. They may be dropped entirely, in which case I will change the prior chapters as well as update this description.] Content warnings: As a story featuring lots of fighting, there will be blood and death. However, since characters rarely die permanently, this will not be a hyperviolent story with extreme gore for the sake of it. Some sexual content and fanservice may be included, but this should remain firmly at the PG-13 level and there will be no sexual violence of any kind. The Cover: Someone suggested that I should have a dragon girl with a miniskirt on the cover. I can't draw and I don't know who to ask or commission, so a few minutes in the GNU Image Manipulation Program and the masterful cover above was created! Please feel free to use your imagination to see a gorgeous half-dragon with azure hair, wings, and a tail, holding a lightning-infused sword while fighting demons.

Someone Like Adam
"You know, it won't physically hurt you to be nice for once." I crossed my arms in front of my chest and groaned. "I don't want to take a chance." the corner of his lips lifted a little as he finished his sentence. "Well, you don't hear me complaining. The view of a someone so desperately working out is not a delight either." I retorted in a weary voice. "I bet it isn't." he narrowed his eyes at me and commented. Ugh.. Why is he so damn annoying? "You know what, just take your arrogant ass out of my room." I scowled at him, pointing towards the door. With small steps, he walked towards me. I took a step backwards when he neared me. He was invading my personal space, making me a bit flustered. The urge to push back his golden-brown hair covering his forehead was increasing with every passing second. "Gladly." he mumbled against my face and then walked past me out of my room. It took me a minute to calm down my racing heartbeat. ... He was a mystery, an enigma I wanted to solve. He was exhausting, he was infuriating, yet staying away from him was not an option. He was making me feel things I haven't felt before. Adam McArdle!
