《Stuck With Him: Kai Parker》28

"Another, another, another." I chanted when the episode ended and the credits rolled.
Kai groaned, resting his head against the headboard. We were watching Pretty Little Liars since I won the bet.
So far, we watched a whole season and I was enjoying it. Kai, on the other hand, wasn't. He complained so much, but I just reminded him about the bet and he shut up.
"No, please spare me of this shit." Kai said, running his hand down his face. I rolled my eyes.
"This isn't shit, Malachai. It's a great show, you're just old. You don't get the twenty first century." I teased.
Kai laughed. "Hurtful, Ri. Beside I'm not that old, forty isn't such a big number."
I cringed. "Remind me of your real age again and we're done."
He laughed again, kissing my cheek. "Why Ri?"
"Because you're old enough to be my dad."
"Well I am your daddy." He joked and I laughed, shoving his arm.
"Get out." I grinned and he just kissed me softly.
"Ri, let's do something fun." He stood up and pulled me up to my feet by my hands. I huffed.
"I can't be bothered, Malachai. It's just effort." I whined, sitting back down on the sofa.
He rolled his eyes, yanking me back up to my feet again. "I've just spent the last hours watching this." Kai pointed back at the tv. "The least you can do is get up."
I let out a big sigh, making him roll his eyes. "Fine, but I need to change now." I sighed, looking at my shirt and tracksuit bottoms.
Kai raised a brow. "Why? You look fine."
I rolled my eyes. "This isn't the prison world Kai." I said. "Here in the real world, walking round in tracksuit bottoms and tank tops is seen as pretty odd."
Kai just kept his confused expression. I thought with a small smile.
"Don't worry." I patted his cheek gently. "You're too old to understand." I walked up to my bedroom, waiting for his reaction.
His footsteps echoed behind me and I laughed. "I'm not that old, Ri!"

"Matt." I smiled, sitting down at the bar with next to Kai.
Matt smiled but it faded when he noticed Kai. Kai just smiled. "Come on, dude. Not magic, tonight." Was he said to Kai.
Kai shrugged. "No promises, but I'll try." He said, Matt rolled his eyes.
"Want anything?" Matt asked us, I nodded.
"Shots." Kai said before me. I shrugged and agreed. "Lot's of shots."
Matt hummed. "Coming right up."
Kai and I waited, looking around at everyone else in the bar with us. I noticed Kai's eyes linger on a group of woman, particularly a blonde one. I nudged his arm and he snapped out his daze, looking back at me.
"Stare much." Was all I said.
Kai rolled his eyes. "Jealous."
"I have nothing to be jealous of." I said. "When it comes to women, you're very...." I paused and shrugged. "Old fashioned."
"It worked on you." He winked and I scoffed. "And I can get her number."
I just laughed. "Sure you can."
Kai hummed. "Is that a bet Ri?"
"You know what, if you get her to kiss you willing then we can do that one thing you want to do."
"You mean-"
"Yes just don't announce it to the entire place." I hissed. Kai nodded and laughed.

He raised a brow. "But won't you get jealous, Ri?"
"I doubt that." I poked his arm. "Because I'm going to win this bet."
He shoved my arm playfully with a smile. "But I thought, you loved me too much to share me."
I rolled my eyes. "Whatever you say, Malachai." I replied. "Now come on."
"No, I've got a better idea." Kai told me, I raised my eyebrows curious and glanced back at him. "I'm going to flirt with the girl, take her out back and snap her neck."
My jaw dropped.
Kai laughed at my reaction. "I'm kidding, Ri."
I let out a deep breath. "Good because I swear chocking is much better."
"Exactly you get to watch them suffering." He agreed, I hummed with discomfort.
"Shots!" I called, thanking Matt when he placed them down. I mentally sighed in relief since our conversation was taking a turn for the worse.
Matt smiled, before going to another customer. Kai and I took the shots, I coughed a little after the second one but we got another round.
"Seriously though, as I chat her up. I'll text you, and come out acting like the most dramatic girlfriend ever."
I couldn't help but laugh at his idea. "It's a deal." I agreed before we did a high five.
Kai smirked. "This is why I like you, Ri."
"Likewise, Malachai." I replied, he grinned as we clinked our shot glasses together.
After we downed the second round of shots, Kai walked over towards the woman. I chuckled to myself, before I looked away.
I stole a glance behind and watched Kai take a seat beside the woman. Her face flushed, Kai smiled and her friends exchanged a smile.
"What's Kai doing over there?" Matt asked me, cleaning glasses.
I shook my head. "He's isn't going to kill her, don't worry."
Matt nodded but watched Kai closely. "If you say so." He paused, looking back at me. "So I hear you two are a couple."
I smiled. "We are, we even have matching tats." I showed Matt my wrist and he chuckled.
"Why?" Was all he asked me.
I sighed with a smile, gulping down my shot. "One too many drinks, Matt. One too many." He nodded, humming. "So have they tracked down Stefan or Caroline?"
Matt shook his head. "Not yet but they're looking all the time."
"I think they should've left her alone."
"Riley that wasn't an option, the consequences when she switched it back on."
"I suppose." I said. "Is there a chance I can have a glass of water?"
"Course." He answered, getting one for me. I thanked him and took a sip. "Have you seen Bonnie lately? Elena told me she's back."
"I have." I paused and couldn't help but touch my neck. "We had an interesting greeting." I felt my phone buzz and checked the screen, seeing a new message from Kai. "I've got to departure but nice to see you Matt."
"Nice chat, Riley." He smiled while I fixed Zeke on my back and left, but not before taking the glass of water.
"What's that for?" Matt asked me. I spun around.
"Just some fun." I winked and he just shook his head.
I wondered, while I made my way to where Kai texted me he was.
I spotted the two of them, Kai had her pressed against the wall. Though he wasn't kissing her lips but instead his head was buried in her neck.

The streetlight nearby, provided another light for Kai's eyes to connect with mine. I saw him wink and grinned, hiding around the corner to stay out of sight. I used the water from the glass to dab underneath my eyes in order to make it seem as if I was crying.
Taking a deep breath, I stomped down the alleyway, took a step in front of them and gasped. "Malachai Parker! How could you?"
Kai stepped away from the woman, she looked stunned. "Riley." He paused and looked at me and the woman. He held up his hands. "This...umm...this isn't what it looks like."
I fought my smile.
I narrowed my eyes, walking up to him. I poked his chest. "You're cheating on me with this slut." I spat, sparing her a glance. "How could you Kai, you said you loved me."
"Excuse me-" The woman started.
"You're excused." I interrupted, fighting a smile or laughter.
"I do love you Riley, it's just I uhh...." Kai scratched the back of his neck, biting his lip when I noticed him grin for a split second.
I told myself.
"Uhh, what? You lying cheating idiot." I shoved him and Kai stumbled slightly. "How could you? Five years down the drain."
"But Ri-"
"Don't!" I interrupted, pushing him again but he caught me, holding me close to him. "Is this because I'm pregnant?"
Kai looked like he couldn't fainted that moment but I gave me a secret wink. He exhaled a deep breath.
"Wait you're going to be a dad?" The woman asked Kai. She walked over to him and slapped him around the face. "You pig."
Kai held his cheek and I frowned. "Hey-"
"Grace?" A male voice called out, interrupting me. The three of us were confused while we watched some man walk over.
He was easily double Kai's size and much stronger. I had to admit he was hot but Kai was hotter and this guy looked pissed. "Joe?" Grace said in a nervous voice.
. I thought. .
"Let's go." I mouthed to Kai, knowing it was now not our business. He nodded in agreement.
"Where do you two think you're going?" Joe asked Kai and I. We exchanged a look and he walked over to Kai. He towered over Kai but Kai didn't seem fazed. "What the hell are you doing?"
"Now I'm transforming oxygen into carbon dioxide, it's fun." Kai replied. I rolled my eyes.
"Oh you think you're funny?" Joe asked Kai.
Kai nodded. "Truthfully, I think I'm hilarious."
Joe rolled his eyes. "Are you the guy who was with my girl?"
"Ew no, have you seen her." Kai cringed, my eyes doubled in size at his response.
"Hey." Grace frowned.
"What did you say?" Joe poked Kai's shoulder and Kai glanced down. Joe looked beyond pissed with Kai at that point.
"I said your little girlfriend is ugly." Kai repeated in a much louder voice. "Did that go through your thick skull?"
Joe narrowed his eyes and I cringed, knowing he was about to ruin Kai's perfect face. He lifted up his hand, in a fist, aiming it down to Kai's face.
However before he could deliver the punch, Kai flicked his wrist and his head twisted the wrong way. It made a horrible sound and his body dropped to the ground, lifeless.
I gasped. Grace screamed, falling to her knees beside her now dead boyfriend's body and cried. "Joe, baby!" She sobbed, her hands on his face, his lifeless eyes just stared back at her. "Stay with me, Joe, stay with me."
Kai rolled his eyes. "He's dead."
"What are you? How could you? You evil bastard." She yelled Kai, tears running down her cheeks.
Kai rolled his eyes, flicking his wrist and she dropped dead too, on top of her boyfriend. Their necks snapped.
"Kai." I complained, blinking from my trance of what just happened.
He looked at me with a small shrug. "What?"
"You......" I paused, taking a deep breath. "I said no killing."
"Hey, he was going to hit me. And she was annoying." He argued. "God, all she spoke about was her hair. Oh my hair only looks good on Fridays. Like..."
"Who's cares?" I finished, he nodded. "We need to leave."
"Good idea." He said, stepping over the bodies and walking. I copied and lifted my eyes off them.
Kai and I remained in silence for a walk until I broke, while we walked down the street. I looked at him. "Do you feel guilty about just doing that?"
"No." He said with no tone to his voice. "I don't give a fuck."
I just nodded instead of responding. .

"Rock, paper, scissors." Kai and I said in unison, throwing out our hands. He had scissors whereas I had rock therefore I won.
"Ha." I cheered, he rolled his eyes. I grinned, jumping on his back. "Told you, I'd win."
"Only because I let you." Kai replied, holding my thighs. I rolled my eyes.
"Shut up, Malachai. I won fair and square."
We were out, no where I knew, just anywhere walking around. Eventually I grew tired and wanted Kai to give me a piggy back.
He refused and we played about twenty rounds of Rock, Paper, Scissors to settle our issues.
"So now what?" I asked, looking at him. He shrugged, his eyes reflecting from the moonlight above us.
I sighed, checking my phone. It was eleven at night and we had been out for hours. I avoided mentioned the murder beforehand since I wasn't in the mood to face the psycho killer Kai.
I ran my hand through Kai's hair, feeling how soft it really was. "No idea, what do you wanna do, Ri?"
"Let's go to a beach, there has to be a beach somewhere." I gasped. "I know, let's get a car and drive to a beach." I decided and Kai hummed.
"We need a car then." Kai said. I nodded while he walked into a hotel.
I raised a brow. "Why are we here?"
"Because, I'm tired."
"So am I."
"I'm carrying you, Ri. I have an excuse to be tired."
I laughed and he walked into the building, with me still on his back. It was very awkward because people in the entrance and front lobby gave us a strange look.
"Staring is rude." I uttered under my breath. Kai snorted a laugh. "How exactly are we getting a room, Malachai?"
"Leave that to me, Ri." He simply said, walking over to the front desk.
"I need a room for tonight, just the bed with fine." Kai told the man at the desk.
He checked his computer, raising his eyebrows and shook his head. "Unfortunately there aren't any rooms spare, I'm sorry."
"There's nothing left?" I whined, letting out a huff.
The man shrugged. "I mean the only thing that's available is the suite but I think it might be able your budget."
Kai scoffed. "We'll take it."
The man just shrugged and typed something into the computer. "And how are paying for this?"
"We're not paying." Kai rose his hand and I noticed the man begin to cough, holding onto his throat. His face flushed a bright red and he began to gasp. My eyes widened. "How about you just hand the keys over and I'm sure things will be fine."
The man just nodded quickly, throwing a room key to us which I caught. Kai nodded and let him breathe again.
"Thank you, we'll be out tomorrow morning." Kai said before he walked over to the elevator.
That's was when we realised how low the top of the lift was and high up I was because I banged my head on the top of the lift. The impact literally knocked my body off of Kai and i landed with a thud on the ground.
I rubbed my head, hissing in pain. "Oww......dammit, that hurt." I looked over at Kai, who had also fell to the ground.
Not from the fall, though.
But from laughter.
Kai clutched his stomach while he tried to contain his laugh, but was failing miserably. I scowled at him.
. I thought.
I stopped glaring at Kai and joined him in his laughing fit, because that whole incident was pretty hilarious.
He crawled over towards me, cupping my face. "Oh my god, Ri. Are you alright?" He asked, smiling widely from his laughter fit. I rolled my eyes but smiled at his cute smile.
"Yeah just peachy, Malachai."
"Its good thing we're not linked." Kai said. I hummed with a nod.
"Whatever." I said, holding out my arms. "Carry me."
"What?"
"Carry me, Malachai. My head is killing."
Kai sighed, but picked me up, I wrapped my legs round his waist and arms round his neck. "Just get me to the bedroom."
He slapped my ass. "With pleasure." I blushed and Kai laughed.

When humans with the ability to control the fundamental particles of the universe with their minds were first discovered, the age of space travel began in earnest. Relativistic travel faster than the speed of light became possible and humanity moved out into the stars. When it was discovered that these Mages could be turned into effective weapons, humanity turned back to its oldest pastime of war. Hundreds of years later as humanity was on the brink of self-destruction, with its taste for war finally beginning to wane, a new organization was created. The Conclave was formed to regulate all Mage’s within the human colonies. While the colonies maintained their independence, the Conclave’s control over access to interstellar travel made them the de facto power amongst humanity. As the old saying goes, ‘Power Corrupts’, and many people were unhappy with the way the Conclave had been leveraging its authority, not the least of which were the Mages they controlled. One unregistered illegal Mage by the name of Tyrial had made it his life's mission to dismantle the Conclave at any cost. After spending decades working towards his goals alone, he realized he would need the aid of willing allies in his crusade. Tyrial would need all the help he could get learning to work with others, dealing with his own dark past, and handling unfamiliar feelings of romantic interest. Content Warning Note: They are there to cover my behind. I honestly hesitated to put them there at all but I figured better safe than sorry.
