《Stuck With Him: Kai Parker》24

"You're looking in the wrong cupboard." I jumped and put my hand over my heart, frowning at a grinning Damon.
He was leaning on the doorframe, watching me search through the cupboards. "Damon, go away I'm not in the mood."
Damon tilted his head and pushed himself off the doorframe. He crouched down to my height and looked at me. "What's wrong Riley?"
I sighed and looked at him. "I just need a drink."
It was the middle of the night and I had a nightmare about Kol, he hunted and drank from me.
So I decided to get myself a drink of something to help me relax.
He nodded and stood up, opening a cupboard that I never checked and took out a bottle of bourbon. I stood up and smiled.
"Something like this?" Damon asked, waving the bottle and smiling.
I hummed. "Definitely."
Damon got two glasses and while he poured the drinks, I sat down on the sofa. Touching my neck, I couldn't help but cringe remembering that Kol almost bit me.
However, it wasn't his fault. It was Kai.
The thought of Kai made me frown. "What's got you so frowny?" Damon asked me, sitting down with the glasses of bourbon.
He handed me my glass and I thanked him, taking a sip. "Kai." I said. "And Kol, they make me so angry."
Damon sipped his drink and pouted. "Poor Riley."
I nodded and rested my head on his shoulder. "Poor Riley." I repeated with a small nod.
"So, what has you up and snooping in my house so early?"
Running my finger across the rim of the glass, I sighed. "Bad dream."
"Let me guess, you didn't see my face?"
I chuckled lightly. "If your face was there Damon, it would have been a nightmare."
He gasped, his hand over his heart and I flashed a grin. "You're lucky that you make me laugh or you'd be gone."
I rolled my eyes, shoving his arm. "Come on Damon, you know you love me way too much."
He hummed and i held up my glass. Damon smiled. "To forgetting."
I hummed. "To forgetting."

KAI'S P.O.V -
"Morning." I smiled at Damon. He frowned and tried to shut the door but I waved my hand and opened it again. Shaking my head, I took off my jacket. "So rude."
Damon rolled his eyes. "Kai, what do you want?"
I shrugged and picked up an apple from the kitchen. I took a bite. "I was bored."
He ran his hands through his hair. "Kai, Riley is-"
"Still mad?" I guessed.
"Just a bit."
I hummed. "I don't see why because she obviously enjoyed our kiss."

"Gross." Damon murmured.
"Jealous Damon?" I raised a brow, grinning as I bit into the apple.
Damon pulled a confused face. "Jealous of what?"
I smiled. "That Ri likes me."
"I'm pretty sure she hates your guts."
I shrugged. "Trust me." I said. "Riley loves me."
"Why is he here and where is the food?" I looked to see the girl herself walk into the kitchen. I grinned and waved and she frowned at me. "Damon explain."
"He won't leave and I need a drink."
Ri raised her eyebrows. "It's ten in the morning."
Damon shrugged. "I'm dead Riley." He flashed her a smile before leaving and she laughed.
I frowned and kissed my teeth. "Why are you here Kai?"
Humming, I looked up at Ri and smiled. "To see you since I would like to have a second shot at our kiss."
She rolled her eyes. "Why don't I just shoot you?"
I held up my arms. "Calm down Ri." She sighed and I chuckled. "You're so grumpy."
"You're so annoying." She said, while making herself a glass of orange juice. Ri didn't look at me and I took a step closer.
"But you love me." I teased, poking her side and she rolled her eyes and drank her juice.
I stood there and continued to poke her side, a smirk forming on my lips at her facial expression. Eventually, she snapped and threw her empty glass at the wall.
"Don't." Ri growled, poking my chest. "Poke." She poked me again, now facing me. "Me-"
Rolling my eyes, I grabbed her face and brought my lips over hers.
"Ow." I pouted, holding my now bleeding lip.
Ri glared at me and I smiled. "What's so funny?"
I wiped the blood with my thumb and placed it on her lips, earning a curse and slap on my arm. "You kissed me back Ri."
"I did not-"
"Ri." I liked away the rest of the blood. "You kissed me back because you like kissing me."
"W-what-" Ri spluttered, laughing dryly. I smiled.
"I'd love to stay Ri, but I need to figure out how to break a certain spell." I sighed, shrugging.
Ri stood there looking speechless. Her lips slightly swollen and her face flushed. With a smile, I planted another kiss on her cheek on my way out.
"Kai?" The other Salvatore said, I raised a brow and looked over.
"Other Salvatore."
He rolled his eyes. "Stefan."
I nodded. "Stefan."
"Why is he still here?" Damon asked, walking into the hallway.
I waved my hand and threw his bottle across the room, smashing onto the wall. "You little-"

"Damon, calm down." I laughed. "It's not my fault you're jealous of me."
"Jealous of you?" He repeated and even Stefan looked puzzled.
I nodded. "Well he has feelings for Riley am I right?"
"What?" Both brothers questioned.
I shrugged. "Isn't it obvious?"
"Kai, you have five seconds before I snap you-"
I rolled my eyes. "Whatever Damon." I interrupted. "I'll be back later."
Before either of them can say anything, I waved and exited the house.

RILEY'S P.O.V -
My eye pride open when I heard tapping coming from my window. I peeked my head up and looked around.
"What the-" I got out of bed and walked over to my window to get a closer look.
A stone whacked my window and I jumped, moving back. "Who the-" I opened up the window and stuck my head out.
Groaning, I frowned at Kai's smile. "What do you want?"
"Hello to you too, Ri."
"Kai, it's late and I was sleeping." I replied, raising my eyebrows. "So I'll ask again what do you want?"
"To talk, I couldn't sleep." He said sheepishly. I fought a smile because he was cute.
"Well I was happily asleep until someone decided to throw rocks at my window."
Kai shrugged. "And your point is?"
I rolled my eyes. "Goodnight Kai."
"Wait-" Before he could finish, I shut my window and climbed back into bed.
Snuggling closer to my blankets, I felt my eyelids drop again when a harsh wind entered my bedroom. I lifted my head and screeched when I saw Kai sat at the end of my bed.
"What are you doing Kai?" I hissed. "I'm calling a Salvatore."
He shrugged and grinned. "Go ahead."
I raised a brow at his grin. "You're grinning."
"I'm aware." He said, making his grin even wider.
Humming, I stared at him. "What did you do?"
He bit his lip and shrugged. "Just a small spell."
"To what?"
"Soundproof the room." Kai laughed and I groaned, running my hands through my hair.
"Why doesn't that surprise me?"
Kai scooter closer to me and cupped my face. I glared and he copied my glare. "Ri, let me explain."
"You've done enough." I spat.
"Well obviously not since you still don't remember me."
"I don't need to." I said. "All I need to remember is that you appeared in the restrooms, kissed me and vanished, while I was on a date with Kol."
"In my defence, our kiss was much better and you know it." He added and I rolled my eyes.
"And if that wasn't bad enough you slit my wrist which made Kol drink from me." I snapped.
"Technically the Kol biting wasn't exactly my fault." He replied, I rolled my eyes.
"You must have done something to my blood." Kai just smiled. I raised a brow. "You're so lucky I can't hit you." I told him, he chuckled and I couldn't help but grin. "Why are we bonding like this anyway?"
Kai shrugged. "Just because, if you'd remember it'd make sense."
I nodded and Kai dropped his hands from my face to hold my hands. I pull back. "What are you doing?"
"Experimenting."
"That's not comforting at all." I said and he rolled his eyes.
"Calm down Ri." He replied. "I think I found a spell to break your compulsion."
"So that's why you're here." I said. "And I actually thought you just missed me." I said with sarcasm.
Kai winked. "Don't worry, I'll make it up to you." I rolled my eyes and fought a smile. Kai took my hands again. "Get ready because this is going to hurt a lot."
I raised a brow . "What?"
Kai sighed, letting go of my hands. "So difficult." He muttered, getting something from his pockets as I stood from the bed backing to my door.
"So weird." I replied, quietly. "Get out, before I call Damon."
"The rooms soundproof, he won't hear you Ri." He smirked, I gulped wary.
"Then I guess, I'll leave the room." I mumbled, grabbing the door handle but it wasn't opening. I sighed, feeling Kai's present behind me. "You locked the door, didn't you."
"Guilty." His voice was close to my ear and I shuddered, turning around to face him. "No, just relax Ri."
"Kai, don't do this." I pleaded. "You'll feel it to."
Kai rolled his eyes. "Nope. We're unlinked. Calm down, it'll be over in seconds, maybe a few hours." He said muttering the last part but I had heard.
"Hours?" I exclaimed, stunned. He shrugged. "No, don't-" I interrupted myself by screaming, holding my head.
Kai had begun the spell without at least giving a heads up. I screamed, dropping to my knees as I clutched my head.
Gasping, I sat up and held my aching head. I panted to regain my breath and Kai raised a brow as he stared at me. "Do you remember?"
I glared. "How am I suppose to know?"
Kai rolled his eyes. "I'm taking that as a no and I'll have to restart."
My eyes widened and I shook my head. "Don't you dare-" My own scream interrupted me.
"We kissed?" I said in one complete breath. Kai raised a brow and leaned in to look at me.
"Are you remembering?" There was a glint of hope in his eyes. I locked eye line with him, for a moment before my mind turned off and I fell into darkness.
