《Stuck With Him: Kai Parker》23

"Well aren't you a beauty, kitten." Kol smirked, his eyes wondering me when I opened the door for him.
I rolled my eyes. "Don't make me slam the door in your face."
"Feisty." He commented, while he walked past. "I like it." He said in my ear and I shuddered slightly. Shaking my head, I rolled my eyes.
"I'll be back in a minute."
"Fine by me." Kol replied, going on his phone. I walked over to Damon and snatched my diary back.
"Hey, Riley I was reading that." I scoffed. "It was a sad romance story where the girl never gets the guy."
"Shut up." I glared. "Make sure he doesn't do anywhere." I said between gritted teeth. Damon and I rushed up to my bedroom. I grabbed Zeke and threw him on my back, before walking back downstairs.
Adjusting the straps on my shoulders, made my way back to the front door where Kol was. Damon has a new drink. "Curfew is at nine Riley."
I rolled my eyes. "You're not my dad."
"Just your daddy." Damon laughed and winked.
Choosing to ignore Damon, I turned to look at Kol, he wore a pair of dark jeans and a black long sleeved shirt that was rolled up to his elbow.
Though his actions and what he did to me, made his attractiveness deduct a little.
"Ready?" He asked. I nodded. "What's with the bag, kitten? Ready to leave with me to New Orleans already?"
"Funny." He smiled. "Bye Damon!"
"Have fun!" Damon called back in a girly voice. I laughed and shut the door, walking down the path with Kol.
There was an uncomfortable and awkward silence. So I decided to break it. "Where are we going?"
He glanced at me, smirking as usual. "That's for me to know and you to find out, Riley." Kol replied, I raised a brow.
"Wow, you called me by my name." I smiled. "I'm impressed."
"What can I say?" He shrugged and I couldn't help but laugh.

"Told you I'd win." I boasted to Kol, raising my eyebrows.
He rolled his eyes with a grin. "I let you win."
I scoffed. "Liar, I beat you fair and square."
We went to a bar, I wasn't sure what it was called but Kol and I ended having a pool competition. I won, just making it clear I won.
He lost.
I won.
Me.
Winner.
Him.
Loser.
As I had won he owed me money and I was waiting for him to pay up. "Fine." Kol got out his wallet throwing money on the table.
I grinned, reaching down to retrieve my winnings. I put it away inside Zeke as I rested my head on my hand that held the pool stick up.
Kol smiled, walking over to me as he set down his stick. I raised a brow, feeling intimated since he was so close to me.
"One more game. If I win, you kiss me. You win, you get one hundred dollars." He suggested. I paused to think.
Though I shook my head. "How about I get to ask you a question and you have to answer in complete honesty?" Kol appeared curious but agreed to my terms and we shook hands.
That was probably the worst thing I had ever done. Not only had I lost but I also drained my body of it's pride.
I kissed my teeth and nodded. Kol winked, knowing that he won. I sighed and shrugged with a small smile. "Best two out of three." I suggested as he stepped closer to me.

Kol shook his head. "No deal, kitten." He said, cupping my cheek to kiss me. The kiss was soft and gentle, I knew it was wrong to be kissing him but he made me feel like a clay.
My knees buckled and I wrapped my arms around his neck, dropping the stick on the floor. I felt his hand he hold the back of my neck, his other hand pressing on my lower back.
A voice screamed at. . Another voice said.
I thought, pushing the voices away just as the kiss ended and my eyes slowly opened.
When the kiss ended, I bit my lower lip as I unwrapped my arms from his neck, looking down at my shoes. Kol grinned. "What was it you wanted to ask me?"
I rose a brow. "But I didn't win."
Kol shrugged. "That doesn't bother me."
To avoid his question, I suggested. "Another game?" He nodded and kissed my forehead. I hummed and nodded. "In a minute, I need to use the restroom."
It wasn't a lie. Kol nodded and let me out of his hold, and I walked to the restroom.
Luckily it was empty and I sighed in relief. Though, it was also dark inside, as in I struggled to see.
"Stupid light switch." I muttered, my hands ran along the walls for it. I felt the wall, more wall and wall.
"What the hell?" I huffed, growing impatient as my bladder was close to bursting.
I groaned. "Screw it, I'll hold it." I mumbled, about to leave when I remembered and laughed. "My phone."
Getting out my phone, I turned on the torch and screamed when I saw a figure in front of me.
Their hand silenced my screams and my eyes widened as my phone fell on the ground. I mentally prayed.
"Get off me." I hissed when their hand moved. Their body pressed against my own, trapping between them and the wall.
Lifting my hands, I went to punch their face when a rough hand grabbed my wrist.
The guy laughed, giggled in fact at my weak attempt and I raised a brow. "I know that laugh." I mumbled to myself.
Before I could shout to call for help, a pair of lips covered my own.
Struggling, I punched and slapped but he grabbed my wrists, trapping my hands in his.
However, soon my actions stopped and I couldn't help myself but kiss back, that kiss was better. His lips softer and moving perfectly mine.
He obviously noticed my change as he pulled me even closer to him if possible but I wasn't in the state of mind to protest.
I screamed and opened my eyes. With all my strength, I kicked the guy away, punching his arm.
"Ow." I hissed, holding my arm and thigh as pain shot through it for some strange reason.
"What the hell? First you switch off the lights and then kiss me." I snapped and he didn't reply. "You're a right weirdo and your hands better have been clean because I don't want diseases."
Again he only laughed and I fused my eyebrows together. "Who are you?" I only saw his feet and frowned. "I have my boyfriend and he is waiting outside." I lied, calling Kol my boyfriend. I had no clue what we were.
"Boyfriend?" I jumped at the fact that he spoke, his voice was familiar and sounded hurt.
"Who are you?" I repeated, picking up my phone to shine the light on him.

But the lights reappeared on and the guy was gone. I spun around, only seeing the now empty toilets. The door opened and a woman stepped in, looking concerned.
"What the hell? What? I swear there was a guy......what?" I looked at a woman. "Didn't you see? He kissed me......then poof gone. What?"
She stared at me and left the restroom probably thinking I was insane.
I cleared my thoughts and touched my lips. "His hand better of been clean."
I did my business and washed and dried my hands before I left the restroom. Kol walked over to me, looking confused.
"You took your time dear." He laughed dryly.
"Didn't you hear the chaos in the bathroom?"
He rose a brow. "I heard nothing."
My grin faded and I picked up my drink. "Oh." I took a deep breath to calm myself. "I was just searching for an escape route."
"Hillarious." He replied and I shrugged with a small grin.
"I know, so now what?"
"Whatever you want, love. The night is still young."
"Unlike you." I replied, Kol rolled his eyes but grinned. I smiled.
"That's true darling." Kol said and pecked my lips, I just smiled now unsure how to feel about him or his kisses. "Come on let's leave this place."
"About time." I muttered, he laughed and I grinned fixing Zeke on my back.
"So what's it's like being an original?" I asked Kol, while we walked down the street.
He shrugged, reaching over to take my hand in his. A part of me felt all tingly though another wanted to pull away. "Well you live forever, do whatever and still have charming looks."
"Man, I feel bad for you. Kol."
He rose a brow. "How so?"
"I mean you've been stuck with that face for like a thousand years."

"Call me crazy." I said and Kol looked at me while we walked down the empty road. I laughed and shrugged. "But this night actually wasn't too bad."
He just laughed and shook his head. "Well what did you expect?" I shrugged and he kissed me softly. "Only the best for you." His hand cupped my cheek and though it was cold, it made me feel warm inside. A sense of familiarity. "I know you don't remember us, my dear and there's no way to undo the spell my mother did on you." Kol said. "But I'm going to enjoy making you fall back in love with me all over again."
I couldn't help but smile at his words. "That's probably the sweetest thing you've said."
Kol smiled. "And it's all true."
I sighed in a bliss, looking at him to take in all of his features. I opened my mouth to say something when I felt a sting of pain shoot through my wrist.
Kol rose a brow, seeming alarmed by my sudden change in mood. "What's the matter, love?"
"What the hell?" I muttered to myself when I noticed the blood pour of my wrist as a fresh wound appeared. I used my sleeve to try and suppress the pain. Kol obviously noticed this and took my wrist in his hand, carefully peeling back the sleeve to inspect it. "I must've scratched it on a tree or something." I attempted to make a rational explanation to the irrational situation.
Kol didn't respond. Instead he continued to stare at my wound, watching as the blood oozed out. I rose a brow and carefully brought my wrist to my chest. "Think it's time I went home." I told him.
He ran his hand down his face and nodded. "Indeed." Was all he said and I distanced myself further from him while we walked once more down the road back to the Salvatores.
Moments of silence went by and I noticed the corners of his lips rise up. He glanced at me. "Calm down, darling. I can control myself."
I didn't respond but just gave a short nod, walking ahead of him in order to get back home quicker.
"But I guess." In seconds I felt his breath against the back of my neck and froze in my stance. He dipped his head down into my neck and inhaled. I gulped and felt my stomach drop.
"What happened to being able to control yourself?" I asked, seeming to sound confident but I was just quiet.
It didn't make sense.
Kol chuckled and planted a kiss on my neck. "One little taste, isn't any harm." The instance I felt his fangs against my skin, I chanted a spell which snapped his neck and sent him to the ground.
I kicked him in the ribs as I held my now bloody wrist. "Asshole." I hissed before I ran away.
"Worst date ever." I muttered under my breath.
"Riley." His voice sent a shiver to my core but he sounded far away from me so I was somewhat more assured. "Love, I have no idea what came over me and I'm sorry."
I ignored his calls and huffed. .
It seemed familiar, like I had learned one but the memories wouldn't form. I cursed and shook my head, while I jogged down the road since I had gotten out of breath from running.
I checked my phone battery and frowned at the blank screen which welcomed me, because I had let my phone battery drain.
"Riley, enough games. Please come here my dear." He called out again. "I can smell you blood."
"Good to know." I mumbled, rolling my eyes.
I grabbed Zeke from my back, yanking a spare shirt I kept in him. While running, I smeared my blood onto that shirt before chucking it my right with my blood on. I hoped it would to put Kol off of my trail.
My head began to spin from that lack of blood and my eyelids grew heavy. Each step became harder than the last one.
So it didn't surprise me when my legs gave out and my body collided with the pavement.
"Son of a...." I cursed, as my head had whacked the concrete. My vision blurred and I blinked a few times to make sense of what I was seeing. A figure appeared in front of me and crouched to my level.
I groaned, trying to get up but failed again only hitting the ground harder. A hand touched my head.
"Calm down Riley." The voice, which I could identify as male, said. "I got you." Was all I heard before my mind slipped into darkness.

"I told you it was a dumb idea." I heard Damon yell.
"I'm sorry, I didn't think he'd try to bite her. Kol never did that to her, he hated seeing her hurt or in pain." Stefan shouted back.
"Well obviously something happened. He was in a box for half his life. Maybe he grew a little loco."
"Aren't we all a little loco, Damon?" I heard another voice, I identified it as Kai.
I wondered.
"Who invited him?" Damon questioned.
"Damon calm down." Elena said. "You're overreacting."
"Elena, my friend was just almost dinner to her her ex fiancée. I'm sorry for not being super cheerful." He paused. "Honestly she was better this weirdo when she was seeing that weasel."
"Ouch, Damon." Kai said sarcastically with a chuckle. I could practically hear Damon's glare.
"But he isn't good for her. Kol was her true love." Elena said.
"Well, that's just a little rude Elena." Kai said. "I mean I'm not perfect, but at least I didn't try and eat her her, well in a bad way."
. I screamed at myself, bored of the conversation. I pried my eyes open and saw the ceiling of the Salvatore's living room.
"Sleeping beauty's awake." Damon announced as everyone looked at me. I rolled my eyes, slowly sitting up on the sofa.
"Good morning." I replied, rubbing my eyes. I watched Kai's eyes stay me, while he grinned.
I touched my wrist, noticing the wound was gone. "I fed you my blood." Stefan told me since he must've noticed the confusion on my face.
I nodded and thanked him, he just smiled. "What happened to me?" I wondered, fixing my hair with my hands.
"I found you in the street and you were in bad shape. Your head was bleeding, your wrist was bleeding." Stefan paused. "So, I brought you back and healed you."
"How Kol..." I trailed off, unsure of what exactly I wanted to know.
"He came by but he allowed let in." Damon told me. I just nodded.
"Why would he do that anyway?"
"No idea." Damon said. "What caused it?"
I shrugged. "My wrist somehow slit. Kol seemed drawn to it so I used my magic then ran away, I guess the blood loss got to me because I fell."
"You!" Elena snapped, pointing at Kai. Kai held up his hands, in defence.
"Me." He bit his lip and shrugged. "Guilty." He smirked. Damon glared as did Stefan and Elena.
I raised a brow. "What?"
"You and Kai, you're linked." I pulled a confused face. "What happens to you, happens to him. Vice versa." Elena explained.
"What?" I growled. He chuckled and I gasped. "You, it was you wasn't it? In the restroom."
Kai nodded and I glared. "It felt nice kissing you again, Ri."
"I wish I could hit you." Was all I said before I went upstairs to my bedroom, ignoring the others calling my name.
I slammed the door and laid down on my bed. My fingers went over my lips and I huffed.

8 271The Goddess of Death's Champion
Eliot and Cel start off the same as any other peasant and climb their way to the heavens. At least, that's what a cheesy hook might say, however, Eliot and Cel have always had the attention of the Gods, Eliot longer than Cel but by no God more important. Even if it is their destiny to achieve legend status, they started out some where, and with only the semblance of a head start, not to mention that it makes for an interesting story. (If you decided to read because of a specific tag, some of them only show up later on in the story. I should also mention that romance is a significant focus but there is no romance tag besides the one in genre)
