"What?" I huffed, annoyed that Stefan interrupted my peaceful sleep by calling me. I rested my head on my hand, propping myself up a little as the blankets covered me.
"Jesus. Riley, I was just wondering if you are alright." He replied, I rolled my eyes. "You never came back yesterday and we got worried."
"Sorry, I was sleeping." I said then yawned.
"Its midday."
I scoffed. "And?"
Stefan let out a small chuckle. "Well what happened to you yesterday?"
I let out a loud sigh. "Long story."
"Okay, tell me later but have you seen Kai lately?"
I looked over my shoulder to be greeted with a sleeping Kai. "Yeah, I've seen him." I thought but didn't add. I smirked, biting my lip..
"Well you need to come over as soon as possible."
I whined. "When exactly?"
"Shut up, Riley." Kai mumbled in his sleep. I rolled my eyes, flicking his forehead. I smiled as I watched a grin form on his lips.
His eyes opened, revealing their beautiful colour and he sat up, his arms draped over me. "Now, preferably." Stefan replied and I hummed, I forgotten about our phone call.
"Who you talking to?" Kai asked, between kisses on my neck. I sighed in comfort and he continued to shower my neck in kisses.
"Riley." Stefan said and I hummed, shrugged Kai off, so I could pay attention.
Kai looked at me. "Who's that?"
"Stefan." I mouthed, he nodded.
"Kai's there, I hear." Stefan said. Kai heard and laughed, kissing my cheek.
"Stefan, I had sex with Riley last night." Kai announced, my eyes widened and I smacked his arm, bright red in the face.
I thought.
"Gross, Riley. You pick him over me." I rolled my eyes at Damon who was on the phone instead of his brother.
"Hello to you too Damon." I replied sarcastically, rolling my eyes. Damon laughed.
"So, you and Kai?" He said in a teasingly voice and I groaned in annoyance. "Stefan you owe me fifty bucks."
"You made a bet?"
"Duh, it was obvious you two liked each other. But dear old Stefan didn't see it and believed you would stay with Kol." Damon explained.
Kai laughed. "Its because I'm better."
Damon just scoffed and i shook my head at the two of them. "Anyway-"
"Where are you anyway? Did you two have sex in the forest or something?" Damon interrupted, I rolled my eyes.
"No, we decided to stop for a little midnight fun at the grill." I said, sarcasm leaking from my voice. Kai's grin grow and I couldn't help but crack a smile.
Damon laughed and I grinned, seeing Kai. He was spooning me still, tracing patterns down my bare arms.
He seemed more caring all of a sudden, it was strange but as long as he was still the same sarcastic idiot I fell for I didn't care.
"Remind me to not go there anymore." Damon said.
"Whatever." I laughed.
"Okay, but seriously we need you two friends with benefits over here as possible." Damon told me. I felt my cheeks warmth and Kai laughed. He was listening to the phone call as well.
"Damon. Shut the hell up." I said, groaning with embarrassment. He laughed. "I'll see you in a minute."
"Hurry now, no shower sex." I hung up, blushing and Kai was laughing. I set down my phone still embarrassed and annoyed.

"So I guess that's a hold on the shower sex." Kai said, I scoffed and shoved his arm.
"I guess it is." I replied, his eyes widened believing I was serious. I rolled my eyes. "I'm kidding, Kai." His face dropped and I grinned.
"No fair." He complained. I rolled my eyes but couldn't fight my smile. "We need to have shower sex."
I laughed. "Another day." Kai hummed and kissed me again.

"Kai, you have no good clothes." I yelled from his bedroom, I heard his footsteps as he arrived in the bedroom, looking around.
"What did you do to my room?" He wondered, noticing a change.
I just sighed. "Seriously?" Kai didn't respond. I shook my head. "I cleaned."
It took me a while but I did it, it wasn't horrifyingly messy but needed some love. "Oh, nice." Kai replied, shoving his hands in trousers pockets.
He was dressed in black jeans, a pearl white shirt with a black jacket. He somehow managed to look adorable and sexy.
"And what do you mean I have no clothes? What do you call these?" He rose a brow, while referring to his own outfit. I rolled my eyes.
"Shut up." I frowned, folding my arms over my chest. "Besides I said you have no clothes."
"Says the girl wearing my shirt." He smirked and I fought a smile.
"Because you ripped mine, last night."
"That's because there's were too many buttons." He argued. "What kind of shirt needs that many buttons?"
"There was three buttons." I repeated and he just scoffed. "And to top it off, you also ripped my bra and my underwear-"
"You act like that didn't turn you on like crazy." He interrupted me and I felt my face flush. Kai hummed. "And don't criticise me for my ways, because the scratch marks down my back say a lot about you."
"So does the handprint on my ass cheek." I fired back and Kai stared at me for a few moments. "Kai, we're not having sex."
He kissed his teeth and stomped his foot. "You tease." I winked and he rolled his eyes. "At least let me see the hand print." Kai's arm reached over to lock around my waist.
"Later." I shook out of his grasp and he just pouted. "We need to meet the brothers and I have nothing to wear there."
"Well then, you could always go naked." He said, mumbling the last part as his smirk formed.
I forced a smile. "I'll pass, Malachai."
"Fine, Ri." Kai replied. "How about a bet?"
"Seriously?" He nodded and I shrugged. "Fine, what is it?"
"If you can perform a spell correctly without my help, I'll go and buy your some clothes completely of your choice."
I hummed and looked at him because that grin said another story. "And if I fail?"
"I'm deciding your outfit." He finished, smirking his killer smirk. "And shower sex."
"Kai, we don't have time."
"Then you better get this spell right." He held out his hand. I hesitated but shook it, looking at him.
"What's the spell?"
Kai shrugged. "Light a candle, it's simple."
"I'll be the judge of that." I hummed, somewhat aware I set myself up for failure but shower sex did sound good.

"Riley? Wow." Stefan commented, as he opened the door for me and Kai. I faked smiled and Kai sniggered to himself. "How did you get her to dress like this?"

"By winning." Kai said with pride, his arm around me. "And sex." He whispered the last part but it was loud as Kai was horrible at whispering. I slapped his arm and he gave me a smile. "Ri, you look hot. Stop frowning."
I flashed a big smile and Kai copied my smile, making me laugh. "Oh Malachai, I hate you."
Kai blew me a kiss and I shoved his arm. Stefan shut the door and looked at us.
"So Riley-"
"Stefan." I cut in, looking over at him. "Don't, please another time."
He nodded. "Agreed but we're discussing this." I just nodded and Kai ran his hand along the waistband of my shorts.
"I guess the outfit could have been worse." I uttered with a shrug.
"Riley, looking good." Damon wolf whistled, walking into the living room where we all were. I winked at him and sat down.
"Only for you Damon." I said. Damon laughed and i laughed too.
Elena rose a brow and Damon rolled his eyes, kissing her cheek. "That's what you said in the shower." Kai said in my ear and I just hit his shoulder so he laughed, bringing my down onto his lap. Though, I moved to sit on the sofa beside him, yet he put me back. That little cycle continued until I just caved in. "Fine, I sit on your lap."
He smirked. "I win, again." Kai planted a kiss on my shoulder.
I scoffed. "Don't make me hurt you, Malachai."
"Then you'll get hurt."
I looked at him. "Do I look like I'd care?"
Kai just laughed. "Yes."
"I swear I will-"
"Anyway." Damon interrupted, looking at us. He shook his head with a small grin. "How can you two be together?"
"Mainly sex, last night Ri used her mouth to-"
"What is it you wanted?" I interrupted, my hand over Kai's mouth. He laughed as did Stefan.
"Today is Bonnie's birthday." Elena began, she looked upset and I felt bad for her. "And we want to send her a message."
I thought, moving my hand down from Kai's mouth.
"So why do you need me?" Kai asked, running his hand down my bare thigh. I shuddered, slapping his hand away. He grinned, resting his head on my shoulder with his arms around me.
"To help us." Stefan said.
"Look what we found." Damon showed us the ascendant.
The last time I saw the ascendant Damon and I arrived back.
"We need you to take us to her." Damon added. I nodded while Kai huffed.
"Why?"
Everybody shot him a glare at the same time a guy, Jeremy, entered the room. "Hi Riley." He waved, I half waved.
Last time I saw him he stabbed Kai in the shoulder with an arrow, thereby injuring me in the process. I only knew him by name because Stefan told me one time.
"Hi." I replied. I raised my eyebrows catching his eyes wonder me. A smile formed on my lip when I felt Kai wrap his arms around me, bringing me to him.
I chuckled to myself. "Jealous much." I muttered, he frowned.
"Go away, Ri."
"I'd love to but your arms around me."
Kai didn't respond and I kissed his hand that was near mine, taking it into my own. "So is he helping us?" Jeremy asked, nodding at Kai as he crossed his arms over his chest. His muscles bugling in the process.
I stared a little longer than I meant to and Kai squeezed my thigh. "Staring is rude Ri." He said in my ear.
"I wasn't stare, I was observing."
I corrected and he gave me a blank look. I smiled. "Smile Malachai."
"Keep acting like that and it'll be more than just a handprint you'll be left with." I bit my lip and Kai smirked, knowing he'd caught me.
"Kai." He hummed, looking at Elena. "Are you going to help us?"
"Well if you need my help so much. I guess I can." Kai sighed, shrugging. "But I need you to help me."
"With what?" She asked.
"I'm not sleeping with him." Damon clarified, holding up his hands.
"Shame, it would've been hot." I shrugged and Elena grinned as well. Damon bared his fangs at me and I blew a kiss.
"Riley can sleep with the psycho."
"She already did." Kai announced for the hundredth time and I hid my face with my hair. "But I have an issue. When I absorbed Luke's magic, I must have gotten some of his qualitiles or something like empathy. So I googled how to process emotion pain, and they said if you write down everything in a letter and burn it, you'll be healed."
"When did you write a letter?" I asked.
"You were asleep." He answered and I nodded. "So I started writing, and this water literally started pooling in my eyes. Has that ever happened to you? Like-like the water just-just oozing from my eyeballs. Like I'm some alien creature excreting fluids."
I shook my head, pinching the bridge of my nose.
Elena pulled a confused face. "You mean you cried?"
Kai clicked his fingers. "Yes. And after that was done, I burned the letter and the feelings-oop-were still there."
"Why is that bad?" Stefan wondered with a shrug.
"Well in case you haven't figured out by now, I'm a sociopath." Kai said.
"More like psychopath." Jeremy mumbled, I snorted a laugh and he smiled at me. Kai glared, keeping his arms around me.
"I know shocker." Kai said sarcastically. "I like being a sociopath. You know, not burdened by things like guilt or love."
I couldn't help but feel a little hurt by his words. However, I just pushed aside my feelings.
"Wait." Elena said, everyone looked at her. "If you a sociopath, doesn't that mean you don't care for Riley?"
I looked at Kai, he bit his lip thinking. "I don't know, Riley is different. She's my friend."
"With benefits." Damon mumbled.
I shot Damon a look and he grinned, winking at me. I rolled my eyes. "So, are we going or what?" I wondered, raising my eyebrows.
"I have to go. Caroline needs me." Stefan told us.
"Have fun." Damon cooed, Stefan rolled his eyes throwing his brother the ascendant, that he caught it, before Stefan left the house.
"So I guess its just us." Jeremy said.
A smirk formed on Kai's lips. "Let's do this then."
++++
"Kai, why is your nose bleeding?" I asked with concern. There was blood trickling from his left nostril. He shook his head and I put my hand on his shoulder. "Kai, let me help you."
Since he was so stubborn, Kai refused to allow me to help him with the spell. "I'm fine, Ri." He said, but he didn't sound it.
I sat him down on a chair in the kitchen. We were back in the prison world. As Damon, Elena and Jeremy went to find Bonnie, Kai and I stayed back as he was walking slower through the spell taking a lot out of him.
"Kai, please let me help you." I cupped his cheek. I used a tissue, from Zeke, to clean his nose.
I sat on his lap, wiping away the blood while he panted with sweat on his forehead. I touched my nose and saw blood too so I cleaned it as well, throwing away the tissue. I sighed, running my hand through his hair.
"I'm fine, Ri." He wasn't, that spell was too much.
"Kai, you're not. This is too much, if you're not going to let me help you at least send me back." I said. "That way you won't have to use so much magic."
Kai ignored me, standing up again and I backed away. "Ri, I'm fine." He repeated, I huffed.
I decided to stop pressuring him, so we went to catch up with the rest. They were looking at Bonnie, she was at the dining table flicking through video camera.
"This place is my personal hell." A Damon in the camcorder said, I snorted a laugh. Damon shot me a glare, as Kai sniggered.
"Drama queen." Bonnie said to the video with a smile.
"Hey!" Damon called, despite she couldn't hear.
Jeremy smiled as he stepped closer to her, he looked hurt that he couldn't touch her and she couldn't hear him.
My head began to throb and I felt something else leave my nose. I touched it and my eyes widened when I saw blood on my finger. I gasped and looked back at Kai, who had his head against the wall with his eyes half open.
Damon, Elena and Jeremy were too caught up with Bonnie to notice so I took Kai back into the kitchen. He rested against a counter and I stood in front of him, my hand on his shoulders.
"Kai, please let me help you." I said, he shook his head and ran his hand through his hair. I bit my lip. "Don't die now, because I'm too pretty to die."
He smiled but it was a weak one. "Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere."
"Good." I replied, he chuckled but stopped to cough. I felt something in my mouth and spat blood into the sink, seeing Kai spit it onto a counter.
"I'm fine." Kai wiped his nose and mouth. I shook my head, walking over to him and cupping his face.
"No you're not." I grabbed him a glass of water and made him drink it.
"I'm not a baby, Ri." Kai said, taking another sip of the water. I rolled my eyes, sipping it as well to remove the taste of blood from my mouth.
I spat out the water into the sink. The blood was nearly black, which wasn't good. "Kai, you need to stop the spell."
He hummed, holding his head as he leaned against the counter. I bit my lip a headache forming in my head.
"Kai stop the spell." I told him, he didn't respond. I bit my lip, I had needed to distract him so he wouldn't focus on the spell.
I put my hands on his chest and he looked down at me. "If you won't stop this spell then I'll distract you." I said and he seemed unconvinced. Kai didn't reply and I just kissed him softly on the lips. I took ahold of his face, making sure his lips stayed on mine.
Kai's lips responded with mine, he leaned in to deepen our kiss but since he was weaker I was in complete control. I used one of my hands to run down his chest, knowing that his mind would be clouded with lust.
"Ri." He mumbled, pulling back. "I-"
"Don't worry." I interrupted, bringing my hand down to where he needed it the most. Kai groaned and I leaned up to level our faces l. "Kai just kiss me."
"Alright." He shrugged, bruising my lips with his.
Soon I broke the kiss and looked around, we were still in the Salvatore kitchen but I didn't know what world. Footsteps echoed in the house, I turned around and saw a mad Jeremy.
I sighed in relief. . Kai was looking better but there was still exhaustion on his face. "Wait Jeremy-"
"Take me back." Jeremy lunged to Kai, knocking him against the wall hard.
I gasped out in pain, holding my back as Damon ran over to me steady me. "Don't hurt him little Gilbert, not unless you want to hurt Riley."
"What?" He asked, stopping himself from punching Kai.
"Whatever happens to me, happens to her." Kai explained. "Now please get off me."
Jeremy glared but stood up. "Riley, I'm sorry-"
"It's fine, you didn't know." I said. "But what happened?"
Damon looked down and Jeremy sucked in a breath. "Bonnie, she's depressed and she's going to kill herself."
I gasped. "But Kai tried to kill himself many times, won't she just come back?" I wondered. "Not to mention, I've died a couple of times."
Damon shook his head. "No, she won't."
My face dropped and I blinked back my tears. "She won't?" I asked in a shaky voice.
