《Stuck With Him: Kai Parker》12

"Thanks again for this......" I trailed off because I forgot her name once again.
"Liv." She repeated for about the millionth time that day.
I nodded, clicking my fingers. "Liv, I've got to remember that." I said, fixing my shirt which showed that worked there.
A week had passed since Damon and I made it 'home'. Most of the time, I spent in my room trying to think of ways that I could help or contact Kai. Nothing worked and I was going insane, Damon would see it and decided that I get a job to distract myself.
So I got a job from Liv at a small bar and Damon introduced to some of his friends and his brother.
I ran my hand through my hair and readjusted my skirt. One of Damon's friends, Caroline, instantly befriended me and she took me shopping because I had no clothes.
"Look like you've got your first customer." I heard Liv say.
Zapping away from my thoughts, I looked at a guy with blonde hair and green eyes, sitting at a table. I gave her a smile. "Wish me luck."
Liv chuckled. "Good luck."
I walked over to him. "Hi, how can I help you?"
He looked at me, his eyes traveling up and down and I couldn't help but roll my eyes while I kept my false smile. "I'll just have a glass of Whiskey." He said, I nodded and scribbled it down.
"Anything else?"
He ran his hand through his hair. "No thank you, dear."
"Alright then." I flashed another fake smile before walking back to the bar to make his drink.
"He was staring at my butt wasn't he?" I asked when I reached Liv again to make the drink. She nodded and I huffed. "Creep."
"Hey calm down, it just shows he likes you." She told me then nudged my arm. "Plus he's kind of cute."
I scoffed. "Are we looking at the same person?"
Liv laughed, nodding her head. "What's wrong?" Her eyebrows raised. "You seeing someone?"
"I see a lot of people, Liv. That's what eyes are for."
Liv rolled her eyes. "You know you what I mean."
I shrugged. "It's complicated."
"Please you haven't been with anyone sin-" She stopped herself.
"Since who?" I wondered, raising my eyebrows with confusion. Liv shook her head. "Who was I with, Liv?"
She didn't reply. "Its doesn't matter, Ra-Riley."
I fused my eyebrows. "What were you going to call me?"
"Nothing."
I turned around to face her, my arms folded. "Liv tell me."
Her eyes remained focused on the bar. "Riley, it's nothing don't worry."
"Fine." I spat. I huffed, shaking my head. "And why is that creep staring at me?"
Liv snorted a laugh. "Maybe he thinks you're pretty."
I scoffed. "I know I'm beautiful Liv, I just don't need guys staring at my butt every time I turn around." I replied, leaving to give the guy his drink.
I couldn't help but smile myself as I set the glass in front of the guy. He thanked me with a grin. I nodded and walked back to Liv. She was still laughing and I pulled out my phone.
Damon and his brother, Stefan, had bought me a load of new things to help me settle in with reality. It helped me a lot and they even allowed me to stay with them, most since I refused to move when Damon tried to kick me out.

Unfortunately, it wasn't the house that we stayed at in the prison world since Mystic Falls had a spell casted over it. The spell banned all supernatural beings entry.
My mind wondered to how Kai and Bonnie were doing. I hoped they were both still alive, since they didn't like each so much, actually scratch that, they hated each other.
The bell on the door rang and I glanced up. Liv's brother, Luke, walked into the bar and I waved, we became great friends even though we hadn't known, each other for very long.
"Hey Luke." I said, as he sat down at the bar. Liv sent him a wave, before going to another customer.
"Riley, always a pleasure." He said, I nodded with my hand over my heart and he chuckled.
"Would you like anything?" I asked, putting away my phone. Luke shook his head and I nodded. I rested my head on my hands. "Alright then. So how is your life going?"
He shrugged. "Same old, same old." Like told me. "You?"
I shrugged as well. "I can't remember much of my life."
Luke hummed. "Right the whole memory loss thing." He said and I nodded. "Livy told me about that." Luke raised a brow and grinned. "Do you wanna go out tonight for a drink?"
Liv came back and joined us. "Hey what I'd miss?"
"Just asking Riley if she wants to join us tonight." They both looked at me and I shook my head. "Why not?"
I shrugged. "My shift doesn't end till eight tonight and I have my bed waiting for me."
"Seriously?" Liv whined.
"Maybe another night."
"Fine." Luke sighed. "But I am getting drunk with you."
i sent him a wink. "That's a promise."

"So, Paramore sang this song." I muttered to myself while I walked home.
I discovered that the songs that I sang back in the prison world were by a group called Paramore.
It wasn't that dark but I was cold, because I didn't brought my jacket.
I thought with a frown.
"Stupid Damon." I listened to my music. I took out my phone to change the song when I noticed someone standing behind me.
Rolling my eyes, when I saw they were following me. "Just perfect." I muttered, turning around to see the figure. "This is very stereotypical you know? Following a girl home alone in the dark. Let's hope I don't go down a dark alley."
The figure vamp sped at me, pushing my body up against a building wall. Their hand clasped around my throat which made it hard to breathe.
Their face came into view from the street lamp that was close by. I arched a brow. "Hey, I know you." It's was the guy from the bar.
He chuckled. "Nice to see you again."
I flashed a grin. "Vampire, I see."
He smiled, exposing his teeth. "What gave it away, babe?"
I hummed. "Maybe the fangs." I said, nodding down at them. "Is this the part where you kill me?"
He shrugged. "Depends how this all goes." His eyes went blood red while dark veins appeared underneath them. Honestly it was a scary sight, but I swallowed my fear. "You seem a little frightened, babe."
"Please stop with the babe." I said to mask my fear. "It's making my stomach turn, names Riley."
"Whatever you say, Riley." His hand ran down my skirt and my eyebrows rose. "Names Aaron by the way." He added. "And this need to come off." He started pulling down my skirt.

"Hey get off, this is strictly off limits." I struggled. I couldn't move though because he was much stronger. "Get off me."
Aaron looked at me, keeping his ugly smirk. "You're feisty I like it but you need to be quiet." He looked at me straight in the eyes. Though, he couldn't compel me since Damon made sure I was on vervain.
But I played along. I gave a small nod, letting my expression go blank and he smirked. In the short time I had for him to be distract with my skirt, I lifted up my knee to hit him where no man liked to be hit, vampire or not.
Aaron dropped my to the ground and I gasped, clasping my throat as I sprinted away from him. "Damon." I said, when he answered my call. I hid behind a wall and took deep breaths.
"Yes, Riley." He replied, he sounded somewhat annoyed and I rolled my eyes.
"I need your help." I whispered. I hurried away from the building and made sure that I didn't make a sound.
"What? Where are you?" He asked, seeming more concerned.
I thought, shaking my head while I managed to end up in a forest. My eyebrows fused together and I looked around whilst I walked. I knew it the most dumbest and idiotic place to go but I was still new to the whole place.
I huffed. "I have no idea." I confessed, knowing I was completely useless in that sort of situation. "I'm in a forest, alright."
I could hear Damon rolling his eyes. "Why the hell would you go in a forest, Riley?"
"I don't know, okay." I paused and sighed. "I panicked, just come and help me because I swear if I die, I'm haunting you."
Damon laughed. "Whatever, I'll be there as soon as I can."
"You better be." I hung up the phone and ran my hands through my hair.
My only source for light was the moonlight, that had created shadows on everything I went passed.
I didn't use my phone because the flashlight would have given away my hiding spot and I didn't want to see that creep again.
I reassured myself. I took a shaky breath. I bit my lip, trying to remember what Damon said killed vampires.
"Wood!" I cheered, silently to myself.
I found and picked up a piece of wood before using my pocket knife, that I had in Zeke, to give the wood a sharper edge.
I took more steps into the forest, holding my 'weapon' close to me. "Come you preverted undead creep." I mumbled, looking around.
The sound of a piece of wood being snapped, made me jump and spin back around to where I thought the noise came from.
I was going to ask, 'Who's there?' then realised it was a dumb idea. So I pursed my lips together and turned back around to continue walking, still clutching my piece of wood.
I took out my phone and dialed Damon's number again. "Where the hell are you?"
"Riley, hello to you too." I rolled my eyes. "And I'm almost there just another five minutes."
"Five minutes." I hissed. "I swear Damon if I get eaten by this cre-" I was cut off by a hand going over my mouth and an arm around my neck.
I thought.
"Funny finding you here, babe." Aaron chuckled in my ear. "Now where were we..."
I struggled against his hold. My hands pried at his arm so it wouldn't be pressed against my throat. He finally moved his hand and I gasped catching my breath.
"Not really." I replied between deep breaths. I heard him chuckle and he kicked my legs out, making my fall on the ground. I winced when my head whacked the ground and Aaron peered down at me.
"That's a shame, babe." He smirked. I turned my head to the side and reached over for the piece of wood that I dropped. Aaron noticed and stood on my hand, making me gasp in pain.
"Let me go." I nicely said. Aaron Just shook and he fangs appeared. He applied more force on my hand and I let out a cry of pain as I knew some bones were about to snap. "Let me go."
Aaron released my hand and I brought it to my chest. I panted and he knelt down, turning my hand to the side so my neck was exposed to him. He ran his finger along my neck and I squirmed away.
"It's a shame really." He said. "You have such a pretty face."
I didn't reply and looked around to see something that could help me. It was hard due to the lack of light. I gulped, because I couldn't reach out for my piece of wood since my hand was throbbing too much.
So in a pathetic try, I used my other hand yet Aaron caught me. He stopped my hand and lifted my body up, slamming it down on the hard ground. My head began to spin and I felt my vision start to cloud.
"Enough fighting." He said, pinning my arms above my head with his hand. I struggled and he sighed. "You're going no where."
I tried to focus but it grew harder then I felt a something sharp pierce into my neck. I screamed as the pain coursed throughout my body and Aaron lifted his head up. He sat up and spat out my blood.
"Vervain." He snarled. With this window of his dazed state, I lifted my leg up and kicked him in the face. He fell to the ground and I scrambled to my feet.
I rested my hand on a tree to keep balance and hissed in pain when I put my hand over my neck. I stumbled into a run and ran until my legs almost gave out.
I stopped and knew I was seconds from passing out. Everything was spinning and I couldn't hear much. I used another tree for balance and scrabbled my pocket knife out of Zeke. I held the knife tightly and glanced around.
"Damon its been five minutes."

"Look I'm sorry alright." I repeated for about the fifty thousandth time. Stefan came into the room and I huffed.
I thought.
"What's going on here?" Stefan asked, pointing at Damon and I.
"She stabbed me in the arm with a knife!" Damon exclaimed. I sighed loudly.
"Look it was an accident." I explained to Stefan, who took a step back from me. I looked back at Damon and frowned. "And you took way longer than five minutes."
Damon scoffed. "That doesn't give you the right to stab me!" He shot back, I scoffed.
"Why are you complaining?" I asked. "It healed like ten minutes ago?" I shook my head pointing at his healed arm.
"Because you tore my favourite jacket." He snapped and I rolled my eyes.
"I almost became some guy's dinner tonight." I stated. I noticed Stefan had just left us alone. I waved at my neck. "Don't you remember the blood that was leaking from my neck?" I narrowed my eyes. "Or my hand? Or the head injury?"
Damon gasped. "That jacket was not ugly!"
I nodded. "Umm....yeah it was."
He glared and took a step closer to me. "No it wasn't."
I folded my arms over my chest. "Yeah it was."
"No."
"Yes."
"No."
"Yes."
"Alright!" We both stopped and looked at Stefan, who reappeared. "Damon, let it go. No one liked that jacket anyway."
"Ha!" I smirked, clapping my hands.
Damon scoffed, pushing past me to get himself a drink. "And Riley." I glanced over. "Stabbing him was a step too far."
"Ha!" Damon mimicked me with his glass in his hand.
I rolled my eyes and sat down. "Whatever, what happened to the guy anyway?"
Stefan laughed. "Damon took care of him."
I nodded. "Thanks." I muttered to Damon, who sat down opposite me with his drink.
He arched a brow. "What was that, Riley? Thank you, oh so amazing Damon for saving me?"
I smiled. "Thanks." Damon smiled and I changed my smile to a frown. "For letting me almost die tonight."
"Whatever, you're not dead though are you?"
"No thanks to you."
"It was my blood that saved your sorry ass."
I just stuck out my tongue and rose up to my feet. I patted his head and Damon swatted my hand away.
"Don't touch the hair."
"Sorry princess." I said. He rolled his eyes and Stefan laughed. "Well I'm going to bed, night Damon." He hummed, holding up his glass. "Night Stefan." I said as I walked past him.
He nodded, as I went to my bedroom. I quickly got ready for bed and dug around in Zeke to find my phone. Instead I found the silver chain and held it up.
"You remind me of Kai." I said then raised a brow. "Why am I talking to a necklace?"
I laid down in the bed, staring at the necklace. I traced over the lotus flower and pouted. "I wonder what you meant to me."
I gasped, sitting up straight in my bed. I looked at the chain, which I still held in my hand. "Kol?"
