I woke up as I felt someone make some noises, I opened my eyes slowly and found Eve holding a blanket in her hand, putting it on me slowly, she then took couple steps towards me and placed a kiss on my palm before going out

I opened my eyes and smiled still looking at the door, for the past months that's the first time she did this

"she loves you" someone said making me jump

"shit! You scared the hell out of me!" I said

"sorry" he said

"what were you saying?" I asked rubbing my eyes

"I said she loves you" he said again

"you saw what she did" I said taking the blanket off me and folded it

"I know Becca, but what you did isn't something that she could get through easily and look I promise you that she loves you but she's just a kid" he said

"I can't take this, will you please talk to her" I asked

"Why didn't you tell me Becca?" He asked

"you left! You fucking disappeared! How the hell im supposed to tell you that I'm pregnant with your baby! How! Tell me Alex! I'm tired!" I yelled before storming off and entering the room he gave me

I didn't feel well, but I was going to get myself together for Evelyn, even if she doesn't want me

I changed my clothes and went down to the kitchen, Julie was cooking, she looked up and smiled at me as I smiled back

"Julie! Can I have more pa-" eve stopped when she saw me standing my the door, she immediately looked down

"you want more pancakes? Ofcourse" Julie said before taking her plate and handing her more, Eve took her plate and sat on the table eating her pancakes in silence

"Would you like some?" She asked looking at me but I shook my head

"Thankyou" I said

"Julie, is my coffee ready?" Alex said entering the kitchen

"Yes sir" Julie said hurrying to the coffee machine and getting the coffee

"um Alex" eve said quietly

"Yes princess" Alex said making his way to her and pressing his lips to her cheek

"can I go see grandpa,?" Eve asked

"Ofcourse princess, he'd be so happy to see you" Alex said

"do you want to come?" He asked looking at me

"no" I said before getting out of the kitchen but retiring "take care of her please" I said Before getting out again

I took my jacket before going to my work to take an extra shift, yes believe it or not

I was crazy

a whole week passed with everything the same, Evelyn never talking to me

I would pick her from school without her saying anything, sometime Alex did get her from school 2 times

Aaron and Ethan came around each night to play with Evelyn while I locked myself in the room

and I would get out only if Katie and Nate came around with Sophie

I grabbed my bag before passing by Alex and Eve

"Princess, eat quickly because you're gonna be late, and Becca where are you going?" Alex asked

He didn't know I go to work because they would go before me and I arrive after me, but today I decided to go earlier

I ignored him but heard Eve answer "she works"

"where?" Alex asked

"not your business" I yelled Loudly before going out and slamming the door shot

I went to work and I'm the middle of my shift, my phone rang

"Becca, your phone is ringing" joe, my friend said

"can you please give it to me" I said as he handed me my phone

I looked at the number and it was eve's school

"Hello" I said

"Evelyn's mother?" A woman said

"Yes" I answered

"I'm the nurse of the school, your daughter has high fever and I think you should come get her immediately" she said

"what? im coming right now!" I said closing the phone as I started worrying

"What happened?" Joe asked

"Eve has fever, will you please drive me Joe!" I asked

"Ofcourse, I would've offered, now let's go, I'll tell the manager" he said before the 2 of us rushed outside

I arrived to school and ran to the nurse's room as the receptionist directed me

"Evelyn, Evelyn Rose" I said

"she's been here for a couple of hours, I gave her some pain killers but still her fever isn't lowering so I suggest you take her to the hospital" the nurse said

"Can you just sign here before leaving" the nurse asked as I signed a paper Before taking Evelyn in my arms and heading out

"Ma" Evelyn said in tired voice

"Mommy's here princess, I'm here" I said as I ran to joe's car and we headed to the usual hospital we go to

"Ma I'm feeling sleepy," she said

"Baby don't sleep okay? Wait" I said as I kissed the top of her head

"We're nearly there" Joe said Before minuets later we were infront of the clinic

my phone rang and I checked the phone and answered

"Alex I can't talk to you right now" I said

"Ma I'm could" eve said

"What happened?!" Alex asked

"Eve's burning, I am taking her to a hospital nearby my house" I said

"What! Are you seriously taking her there!" He asked

"Yes Alex, I always do!" I said

"Becca! Wait the hell there by the hospital, I'll be there in 10!" He said in a threatening tone

The 3 of us got out of the car,

"Thanks joe, you can go back now" I said

" what happened, why aren't you taking her in" he asked

"Her father is taking her into another hospital" I said

"Her father is in your life?" He asked as I nodded

"I'm just gonna make sure you're safely with him" he said as I nodded and the three of us sat on a bench there before Alex's familiar car appeared by the hospital minutes later,
