I just got home and Madison engulfs me in a hug.
Madison: "Ember, please don't ever leave me like that again."
Ember: "I promise I won't. I have actual friends now and a boyfriend that I know is not using me to get to you, Madison."
Madison: "That's fantastic. Do I know them?"
Ember: "Yes. It's the 4 boys I disappeared with. You know the goth boy, Felix?"
Madison: "Of course."
Ember: "Well, he is my boyfriend now."
Madison: "Lucky, he's got that cool mysterious vibe to him."
Jared: "Alright, for tonight I have prepared your favorite. Beef teriyaki and rice."
Ember: "Thank you so much."
I hug Jared.
Ember: "I'll be right back."
I go up to my room to put my bag down. I see my galaxy poster and smile. Then all of a sudden the stars come out of the poster and float toward me. They go around me and when I try to touch them, they disappear.
Ember: "Woah."

Two years prior, the entire story had been planned and detailed out from start to finish before actual writing. Thus, the story will never be dropped. While the genre is largely Fantasy, the book is comprised of many other elements including a School Life (Magic Academy) story portion. MWTL has a lot of scattered symbolism and allusions, hence, the mystery aspect. The science fiction elements progressively become more pronounced, and the slow romance is a late bloomer. The female lead is strong and independent, and her backstory and identity unravel as drivers of the plot. Expect lots of action/fighting throughout and scattered philosophical and psychological themes arising. It's a human journey to find the essence of one's living and purpose. A creature not supposed to be there. A being that kills them over a bag of sliced bread. Only for Saga to reincarnate in another world. Armed with nothing but a poor temperament and a strange magical guide, they find themselves in a strange, yet oddly familiar new world, surrounded by runic magic, undead, magical beasts, half-giants, and more. Now Saga must find a way to make a new life for themselves while also figuring out how to not end up dead, again. Journey alongside Saga as they find themselves and grow, both as a warrior and as a person. Note: The author has English as their second language and has ADD.
